LabVIEW cannot locate some components necessary to build the installer - looking for "Setup" installer

Hi,
I have an application that has been upgraded to LabVIEW 8.  I have previously been able to build the exe and installer but recently the installer part of the build has been failing with the following error message:
Unable to locate the installer source for "Setup" distribution.
Locate the distribution and try again
The dialog includes a file path prompt that is pointing at the Installer\Volume directory where Installer is the target directory for the build.  The installer build is configured to span CD-sized volumes (650MB)
There are no sources or support files named anything like Setup that I can see.
The installer includes DaqMX and the LabVIEW 8 runtime engine as additional installers
The build works ok If I turn off the DaqMX driver installer

Hi Andy,
I've upgraded DAQmx to 8.0.1 and the installer build now works....sometimes.
And sometimes it gives me a different error:

And underneath all this (in the Details of the Build Errors dialog) I get
"Visit the Request Support page at ni.com/ask to learn more about resolving this problem. Use the following information as a reference:"

So it's sort of working but not entirely reliable.  I think I've seen the path to the DAQmx installer in the Additional Installers tab replaced with the path into the installer build directory I was being prompted with earlier but I haven't been able to replicate this.

    ALL OF A SUDDEN IT SAYS IT CANNOT LOCATE SOME OF MY SONGS BUT THEY STILL APPEAR IN MY LIBRARY  ANY WAY TO GET THEM BACK

    Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

  • Cannot find row from context to build the RowKey

    I have a table with 8 attributes!
    6 attributes are varchar2(20), so the input is just in textfields, the other 2 are booleans varchar2(1)!
    To select the boolean I made 2 comboboxes with the displayvalues Yes/No and datavalues Y/N!
    When I change 1 of the 6 attributes with the textfield, everything goes fine, but when I want to edit 1 of the 2 boolean attributes I get the following error:
    oracle.jbo.JboException: Cannot find row from context to build the RowKey
    The strangest thing is that all the settings from the attributes are the same and also the code in the dataeditcomponent.
    Does anyone knows what the error means and especially how to solve it!?
    If I change a boolean value the change is saved, but the error comes before you can see the changes!

    Hi Steve,
    thanks for your help.
    These are my steps to build the application:
    0.) JDev 904, WindowsXP, IE6.x, FireBird 0.7
    1.) New Project and Wizard 'New Business Components Package',
    only DeptImpl, default VO and default AppModule
    2.) New Project, Wizard 'Complete Struts-Based JSP Application'
    only default settings
    3.) Customize config of AppModule: Referenced Pool Size = 1
    4.) Start application, connect with two different browsers (IE and firebird)
    5.) Browse page DeptView1_Browse with both browsers
    1. Browser: Link Edit --> edit&update attribute Loc of Dept 10 (no commit)
    2. Browser: Link Edit --> edit (no update) attribute Loc of Dept 20
    6.) 2. Browser: update ==> Error Message: Cannot find row from context to build the RowKey
    I have also tested JDev 9034/9033 with no error :-)
    I have build the same application in JDev 10g with ADF (no migration from other projects)
    and ran into another error message (same steps as above):
    JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException, msg=null
    I don't know if my ADF-Struts project is assembled correctly but it works with just one session.
    My intention to set Referenced Pool Size = 1 was to test my code against some session releated bugs.
    I wanted to associate user information like name, role and PK with the SessionCookie instance (during login), via
    SessionCookie.setUserData(myInfos). The Information is used in VOs to get only the user related data
    and in EOs to store the real user name in an attribute like modifiedby/createdby
    (I use Tomcats as deployment platform):
    getApplicationModule().getSession().getUserData() -or-
    getDBTransaction().getSession().getUserData()
    Is there a better way to link own data to a 'session' on the level of business components?
    Can you reproduce my results?
    Ciao Markus

  • [svn] 4939: * Some changes necessary to get the improved SWC cache working in Flex

    Revision: 4939

    * Some changes necessary to get the improved SWC cache working in Flex
    Builder 4 and some potential bug fixes.
    tests Passed: checkintests
    Needs QA: YES
    Needs DOC: NO
    Bug fixes: SDK-18905
    API Change: NO
    Reviewer: Pete F.
    Code-level description of changes:
    tools/oem/Library.java
    Modified link() to pass the file name into SwcDynamicArchive's
    constructor even when using an OuputStream, so the file name can
    be used as a cache key.
    Added refreshLastModified() so Flex Builder can update the
    timestamp in the SWC cache after writing it's OutputStream to the
    SWC file.
    tools/oem/Builder.java
    Added setSwcCache().
    tools/PreLink.java
    Modified postRun() to use the value returned from
    ResourceContainer.addResource() instead of the value passed in,
    because it could be different. This might fix SDK-18493 and
    SDK-17840.
    compiler/PersistenceStore.java
    Modified readCompilationUnit() to also use the value returned from
    ResourceContainer.addResource().
    compiler/CompilerAPI.java
    Modified updateDependentLastModifiedTimes() to check for a null
    CompilationUnit.
    compiler/swc/SwcDynamicArchive.java
    Added path param to OutputStream based constructor to be used as a
    cache key.

    I figured out what was going here.  When I was statically linking my copy of textLayout.swc, it wasn't being loaded soon enough and the other parts of the framework were barfing because they couldn't get at the TextContainerManager class when they expected to find it.  What I have done to solve the issue is created a custom SystemManager which forces the TextContainerManager class to be loaded sooner.  This does increase my file size a bit, but not nearly as much as having to statically link all of the framework's libraries! Here is a short example app of what I did for anyone curious:
    main.Main.as :
    package main {
         import spark.components.Application;
         [Frame(factoryClass="main.CustomSystemManager")]
         public class Main extends Application {
              public function Main() {
                   super();
    MainApplication.mxml :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <main:Main xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
         xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
         xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
         xmlns:main="main.*">
    </main:Main>
    main.CustomSystemManager.as :
    package main {
         import mx.managers.SystemManager;
         import flashx.textLayout.container.TextContainerManager;
         public class CustomSystemManager extends SystemManager {
              public function Custom Manager() {
                   var c:Class = TextContainerManager; // force the inclusion of this class
                   super();
    I found a lot of good information for using a custom system manager (in the context of making your preloader a bit shinier here: http://custardbelly.com/blog/?p=211

    I cannot play some songs on itunes, I get a prompt for an old email address which no longer exists and I don't remember the password.  How can I get these tunes transferred to my new email address and password?

    In one of the help pages for managing your Apple ID (http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40), it shows two separate sections, one for Apple ID and one for Primary Email address. When I go to manage my Apple ID, I see only a single section for both. Can the two be 'separated', especially when you face the situation of having to discontinue your email address for some reason?
    I also noticed that when navigating to Apple ID Support Communities, it shows my nickname 'dishdy'. How and when did I insert this? In the current sequence for creating an Apple ID I don't see this. In my current profile I don't see this.
    In any case, I have freed myself from my previous Apple ID (@artemis.it) on my iPhone.

  • "You cannot copy some of these items to the destination..."

    I cannot copy files and/or folders to a Samba fileserver (Samba 3.0.20a). I get the following error:

    This happens on systems running OS X 10.3.9 on up to 10.4.6. It can happen with a filename as small as "test.txt" or something over 31 characters in length.
    Is anyone else having this problem?
    PowerMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Please know that the limitation is not in OS X, but an interaction with your SNAP device: the SNAP device uses SMB (although an older-style AFP filesharing connection option should also be on by default), and as such the drive inside is likely formatted as FAT32 (or an emulation of same) which does not allow/permit the same characters (or filename lenght) as HFS+ (native Mac drive format)

  • XSQL-001: Cannot locate requested XSQL file. Check the name.

    I downloaded oracle 9i and the latest beta of XDK for Java and
    encountered the following error:
    Oracle XSQL Servlet Page Processor 9.0.2.0.0C (Beta)
    XSQL-001: Cannot locate requested XSQL file. Check the name.
    Since I am using JBuilder5, I configured the bundled Tomcat to
    reference the XSQL Servlet as per the described docbase setting.
    n.b.: I am not running a web or application server at this time.
    Tomcat is my servlet container which I directly connect to from
    my browser.
    I extracted the XDK into the oracle\ora90 folders. I extracted
    XDK to my oracle\ora90 folder, since
    the "bundled" XDK is located there already, and it appeared to
    be lacking the XDK for Java.
    I read the xdkload.bat, and it appeared to be required to
    resolve earlier undefined methods
    issues as per the documentation, so I gambled and ran it. BTW,
    unresolved methods was my initial problem.
    The attached files describe a method not defined error. Not sure
    how to proceed. Thanks.

    I should have added the associated Tomcat trace. Note the
    exception, java.lang.NoSuchMethodError, which is possibly the
    real issue.

    You should have restored the backup that was on your computer before syncing. Now it is too late. However, if you followed the instructions in the manual and set up an app on your computer to sync contacts and calendar to they will still reside in those apps. Photos in the camera roll are lost, however, if you had followed the instructions in the manual to copy photos from the camera roll to your computer regularly you can restore them to the photo app from the copy on your computer. Text messages are gone for good. Music and Apps should be in the music library on your computer.

    Hi,
    you see that message: "The password must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters with at least one number or special character." ?
    The password: The weblogic password you provide when prompted
    must be at least: minimal condition for secure passwords enforced on WLS by default
    at least 8 alphanumeric characters: no 7 but eight or more characters
    with at least one number or special character: password should have a number in it or an "@" "-" or similar
    E.g.
    weblogic1
    is one password option that would meet that requirement

  • Just put my i-tunes library on a 2nd hard drive, how do I easily change the location where the program looks for current songs from the C:/ drive to the new drive without going thru each song individually in the "get info" tab

    I just installed a new hard drive and transfered my i-tunes library to the new drive.  How can I make a bulk change of the location the program looks for the current songs.  I know you can do it song by song from the "get info" tab but I need to do it for all 4500 songs.  I have already changed the location that new files are stored to the new hard drive.

    The pop-up lets you connect to the library file, iTunes Library.itl, on the external drive. This will, in turn, automatically update the preference for the iTunes Media folder to be the iTunes Media or iTunes Music folder inside the iTunes folder on the external drive and it will update the locations of all the content inside the media folder so that it uses the version on the external drive.
    This works seamlessly if all iTunes content was inside the iTunes Media (or iTunes Music) folder (which was itself inside the iTunes library folder) before you moved/copied the iTunes folder. For content outside the iTunes Media folder iTunes should remain connected to the original location. These files should be consolidated (before or after the move/copy) and in addition, if available the library should be upgraded to the newer layout which places iPod Games and Mobile Applications inside the media folder instead of the library folder. (File > Library > Organize Library...)
    For split libraries there are methods to rejoin them before moving (preferred) or repairing after the fact (e.g. my script) which I can go into if needed.

  • Building the site structure for a dynamic website with JSF

    Hi,
    I am still a JSF-beginner.
    I try to build a fully-functional base-demo-application with a fix and a dynamic part.
    Fix part for menu, dynamic part for site-content.
    At the moment, the JSF-hyperlinks of the main menu work, but any JSF-parts in the included documents of the dynamic part are not shown. I guess, this is dued to inclusion of subviews, but I cannot find any similar examples in the web to come one step further.
    Here my complete demo:

    Who can name me that code positions responsible for that the JSF link in the dynamic part is not shown?
    It is not that it does not work it is not shown. The JSF tree seems to be cut because of wrong use of view and subview etc.
    (To put view tags in site1.jsp and site2.jsp does not help.)
    (Once having afforded an example it should go... (*Then* with JSTL, external CSS, etc. ;) )
    Dynamical site structure with include files is the big problem at the moment.)
    bye, Maik

    I found your following suggestions for such cases (seems you are the only profound JSF freak in the world...? :-) )
    Switch between subviews in one main page
    http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/01/dynamic-jsf-subviews.html
    But the main problem for me is that I never find complete examples, but always fragments and it would be important for a beginner to have at least once a complete JSF example over a few subviews, especially here where it is very easy to corrupt the internal tree.
    (Some examples use the subview tags in the calling JSP, some in the called e.g.... Does not matter where to put it? Some use verbatim tags for HTML code outside JSF, some don't... and so on)
    Can anyone give me an URL for a complete example of a JSF site (with all files as possible, I am not very patient, too, but in this case it makes sense to have it entire ;-) ) with dynamic switches of subviews as preferentially used for bigger portal sites?

  • Getting the message "Error generating preview" when building the installer.

    I'm getting this error when attempting to expand the application in the installer.  However, I am able to preview the built application without errors.  Please see the attached screen shots.  I have built this application several times before without incident.  I made some modifications to the application and now I'm getting this error.  What does it mean?  I'm using Win XP and LV8.5.

    If I understand this correctly, you are able to build the executable--it's just that you are not able to see the preview in the Application Builder. Is that right?
    I searched some of our internal documentation. I found a record of a customer who also experienced the "unable to generate preview" error when upgrading to a new version. He was able to solve it by making sure that all of the VIs ini the build were saved in the current version of LabVIEW. This may be helpful for you.
    Also, I would like to recommend that you create a new forum thread rather than posting on a very old thread like this one. You will generate more discussion from the other ni.com users. It also helps our R&D department to automatically keep track of how often these issues are reported.

  • [solved] building the kernel headers for custom kernels

    well, ive been building several different kernels for my laptop, so that i can test stuff. but ive got a problem with the kernel headers.
    ive mirrored the arch kernel's PKGBUILD and modified some naming to get a custom kernel. but when i try to build a custmo module, it complains the headers are broken. (example, vbox_build_module).
    im pasting the pkgbuild here for future reference...if someone sees something thats plain wrong, please say so.
    thanks
