Lack of value in promotions for some customers

I've been a long time customer with my first phones being on Alltel plans before Verizon acquired/merged with them and currently on my second smartphone, soon to be third on their service. However, as a single person, the buy 1 get 1 free promotions on the better/best phones being offered are meaningless. Tweaking the promo slightly to entice friends who are on Verizon and both having contracts up, to pair up and take advantage of these deals would make sense and demonstrate you want to work with and reward all of your customers with the potential savings. As it is, deals like the current buy 1 Samsung Galaxy S4 for $100, get one free translates to $50 a phone, which is exactly what Best Buy is selling them for. So your current promotions do nothing but drive some of your customers to consider other options for places to spend their money at for phones on your service plans when the idea of promotions is to entice people to buy from you.

  • VF06 not creating invoices for some customers

    Hi,
    We generate billing documents every night. For some reason VF06 is not creating invoices for a particular customer. All these are Delivery related billings. I checked the Job log and VF06 has supplied the correct parameters to VF04. The billing index (VKDFS) is correct. There is no error in the Sales Order or Delivery. In fact when I use the simulation on VF04 I can see that SAP correctly displays this data. I was even able to create invoices using VF01.
    The billing index for this customer is getting accumulated and invoices are not being created. Any help will be appreciated. We are on ECC 5.0

    Check if some invoicing calendar is defined in the payer customer master, since the VF06 bills only the deliveries of the customers that have no invoicing calendar OR the the right date.

  • Selecting the best Price for a condition type but only for some customers

    Hi All,
    I have this situation where we have condition type ZPPR (COPY OF PR00) with 5-6 Condtion tables.
    in Access sequence for ZPPR, we have Exclusion Indicator set for all the conditiona tables so if first price is found, it doesn't search for others.
    Now I have a requirement that we should search for all the condition records and choose the lowest price. But this should happen for only a certain type of customers and not for everybody.
    Spefically we have:
    1. Contract Price
    2. Plant/Material price
    Normally, if contract price is found, it doesn't look for Plant/Mat price but we want to offer our customers(some of them) an option where they could choose the lower of the two price. We set both the prices every day based on some inputs.

    We have multiple option for this implementation:
    Option 1: If possible based on access sequence. Not sure if this is suitable considering you mentioned that ZPPR has 5-6 access sequence.
    1) Store Contract price in condition type ZPPR and store  Plant / Material Price in new condition type say, ZPPX.
    2) Have separate pricing procedure and determine them based on customer type. In first pricing process XXXX01, configure Condition exclusion with the setting that ZPPX should be deactivated if ZPPR is present, condition exclusion procedure D (exclusive) . In second pricing procedure XXXX02, configure condition exclusion with the setting that compare ZPPX and ZPPR and activate best condition type for the customer by using condition exclusion procedure C (Best condition between two exclusion groups ).
    Option 2:
    1) Copy  ZPPR and its access sequence to a new condition type and access sequence say ZPPX without checking exclusion indicator in the access sequence. In the condition type control for condition type ZPPX >> Master data section >> Reference Condition type = ZPPR so that master data records  need not be duplicated.
    2a) Assign the current procedure to the set of customers which should get the first price. Create a new procedure with condition type ZPPX instead of ZPPR keeping other parameters similar and assign the new procedure to other set of customers who should get the best price.
    OR
    2b) if 2a is difficult in terms of future  maintenance, add condition type ZPPX in the same procedure and create 2 new pricing requirement validating the customer segments and assign them to respective condition type in procedure ZPPR and ZPPX.
    3) Maintain condition exclusion for condition type ZPPX with B ( Best condition within Condition type).

  • Do not get printouts for some custoemrs through background job

    I am getting the printouts through back ground jobs, suppose what ever the billing documents by end of the day and there is back ground job which runs and give the print outs for that i have maintained in VV31 medium 1 printout and dispatch time 1 periodical scheduled back ground job. Now i want to for some customers i don't want to get the printouts through back ground job.
    Can you please suggest me how to control do not print for some customers.

    I have one access sequence for the combination sales org/dist channel/billing type and have maintained in vv32  sales org ,dist,billing type for that access sequence and medium is print out and dispatch time is 1 schedule back ground job
    and now i created one more table which is combination of  sales org/billing type/customer and medium is 1 and dispatch time 4 maintained in the vv32.
    what ever the customer i maintained in vv32 for the new combination. after i created sales order and now creating the billing document even though output is triggering first combination which is background job, but i want  to trigger 4 when saved application.
    can you please suggest how to resolve this issue.

    Here when you have the callableSattement as ?=proc(?), the first ? is an output parameter. So you should register it as out parameter using registeroutparameter.
    Then you can get the value from the outparameter using callablestatement.getXXX().

    This looks like a wierd requirement ..In my ALV report, i am displaying around 30 fields. Among those , based on the input ,data will not be there for some  of the columns .. In the output we want to hide those columns
    eg:
    Matnr     Descr    Column3  Column4
    Mat1      Des1     (No data)  sfsfs
    Mat2      Des2     (No data)  (No data)
    The required output is :
    Matnr     Descr    Column4
    Mat1      Des1     sfsfs

    Hi shankara,
    1. In the output we want to hide those columns
    For this,
      a) first we have to know/detect  by looping the table/logic
         that which fields contain no data / are to be hidden
       b) after that we have to use the field catalogue properties.
        c) We have to loop at the fieldcatalogue,
            and set the value fieldcat-NO_OUT = 'X'.
           for those fields.
        (In this manner, those fields/columns won't be shown)

    your uploaded picture is not the same as the VIs you also uploaded. Atleast when opening them with LV2011 they differ from the pic...
    The case structure in your VI only has one case ("True"), but there is no False-case. So you get the error "no case for some values"...
    Btw.  both VIs are crowded with Rube-Goldbergs. Even considering the old LV version they are saved with wouldn't allow for such bad programming behaviours...

    What's the sense of making the only case of that case structure a "default" one? What's the sense of that case structure at all???

  • Unable to Create or Extend customers for some of the co_cds

    Hi Folks,
    We are creating customers for some of the company codes to client org. it has number of company codes. we are able to extend customers Except Italy, Iraq and Nigeria Co_cds. The reason given is that field KNB1_QLAND is not on screen SAPMF02D 0610. This field is for With Holding Tax. Recently we have upgraded to ECC 6.0 version from R/3 4.7. what is cause to not creating customers for some regions.
    Please give some needful suggestions.

    Hi Vinay,
    It looks like that in the customization "Assign withholding tax type to company code" in SPRO, subject to w/tx is selected in customer master data section. So, system is expecting the relevant informtaion. Check in Customer account group field status (T. code OBD2), the Withholding tax country field might have been set as suppressed. Check it and correct the same.

    I have one report in which I am displaying amount for each cost center
    (Hierarchy has been activated for cost center)
    In report, for some cells it is displaying correct values for amount but for some cells it is displaying -*
    but when I select on the same cell then I can see value for that cell in formula bar, but -* in the cell
    hope I am clear
    Please suggest any way to display values in all of the cells

    You need to use currency conversion.
    If you dont find a standard convertion formula available then you need to write your code for converting all currencies to INR.
    Also check other SDN posts for currency conversion.
    You are bound to find something.

  • Can't install Firefox 4 on my Intel Mac laptops because message says I lack permissions for some of the items.

    I installed Ff4 on my iMac soon after it came out. Then after serious problems developed with using Ff3.5.2 on my two Mac laptops (after Apple software upgrades Ff started kicking me off many sites whenever I tried to open something within a site, as I need to do for my work), I wanted to upgrade them to Ff4. I have downloaded it repeated times. The download is OK, but when I try to drag the icon into the apps folder it asks if I want to replace the older version. When I say yes, I get a message that say the operation cannot be completed because I don't have permissions for some of the items. That's where I am.

  • Looking for some assistance with my bill

    A little back story. December 2009, I purchased/upgraded to Verizon’s new Motorola DROID. Loved the phone, served me well. I had a $59.99 phone plan and the $30 unlimited data plan. In November of 2010, I get an email from Verizon offering a limited promotion for $69.99 (included 450 anytime minutes, unlimited text/data). What Verizon did, was essentially give me a $20 discount on my bill each month from then on. 
    Now, it’s March of this year. I’ve dropped the DROID a couple times, nothing major though. But this time was different, the screen was cracked and I couldn’t get the screen to power on (although haptic still worked). At the time, I was waiting for the rumored DROID Bionic, so I decided not to upgrade right then.
    I stopped by a local corporate store and explained the situation. I had an old flip phone that I wanted them to re-activate. But I clearly stated that I wanted to continue paying for the data package as I was afraid I’d lose my $20 discount and when I upgraded to a new phone, I’d be stuck paying my old full rates again.
    I was told this would be fine, the rep even told me it would be wise to continue paying for data as he couldn’t tell me anything about how Verizon’s billing system handled my $20 monthly discount.
    So, despite the fact that I wasn’t using my data, I continued to fork out the cash each month. A little over a month ago now, I decided enough was enough and I upgraded to the DROID Incredible 2. I first stopped at the corporate store, but quickly changed my mind. Going to a corporate store has become as bad as showing up at the Secretary of States office. Endless lines. So, I went to a third-party retailer (Russell Wireless) that just opened down the road. I gave them the back story about why I was still paying data rates and all, said everything would be fine. They got me upgraded and I’m out the door with my new DInc2.
    Everything was fine, until I got my first bill after my upgrade. Amount due was $96 and change (essentially $20 over my normal bill rate). So, not only was my $20 discount gone, but my unlimited data plan had been changed to a 2GB data plan. Despite being told that I’d be grandfathered in to unlimited data when Verizon made the switch over to tiered plans.
    Once again, I stopped in to the local corporate store, long lines. So, I head back to Russell Wireless. They can’t see much from their end, so I logged in to my VZW.com account on his PC so I could show him my bill. I left without an answer, but he suggested I call support.
    I spoke to a rep named Jeff, and said he’d have to submit an Inactive Plan Request. Something that he’d gotten used to over the past few weeks due to Verizon changing to tiered plans. I explained the situation and said it wouldn’t be a problem. That was on Thursday, August 4th. Jeff said either himself or another rep would call me back by the following Tuesday to let me know that I was good to go with my old rates. Also, he went ahead and changed my amount due on my bill to my regular rate of $76.
    I log in and pay my bill as normal. All seemed fine, until I get my latest bill. Which is again, asking for $96. Nothing had changed on my account for the better. I email support and explain the situation once again. This morning, I received the following response:
    “In review of your account, I show you have the previous Motorola Droid activated on your account from December 2009 until March 2011. On March 4, 2011 you activated a basic phone LG VX8350 with a non-smartphone unlimited data bundle. The basic phone was activated on your account for over 30 days from March 4, 2011 through July 18, 2011. After activating a basic phone to your account for over thirty days, the Unlimited Email and Web for Smartphone data bundle can no longer be grandfathered when upgrading to a new smartphone device. This is why the new data pricing went into effect on your account when you upgraded on July 18, 2011 and the request was denied.
    I apologize we are unable to add the Unlimited Email and Web for smartphone to your account as the feature is no longer available. Please keep in mind the current data plan you are currently on is the same pricing as your previous data plan. As a matter of fact, over 90% of our Smartphone customers use less than 2 GB of data each month. You may always keep track of your data usage by dialing #DATA or #3282 send.”
    For one, I must fall in to that 10% as I was nearly over my 2GB limit last month. Also, no one had explained to me that there was a difference between dumbphone and smartphone data plans, especially because they were both the same rate each month (Which, for the record, are not named any differently on my past bills). Everyone I spoke to said I would have no issues with this switch and that I would indeed by grandfathered in with my original $20 discount.
    I contacted support again because they never addressed my discount in the above email response. Here is the response I just received:
    "I will be happy to address your concerns pertaining to the $20.00 discount you had previously. in review of your account I found that the $20.00 discount was available only while on the $29.99 data plan. When your data feature was changed from the $29.99 data plan to the $30.00 pricing on July 18th, that $20.00 credit was no longer an available option."
    At this point, my irritation is turning to something bigger. I’ve been a loyal Verizon customer for years, they have pretty solid service in my area, and most of my friends and family use Verizon by now (free Verizon-to-Verizon calls). My employer even has a 15% discount on monthly fees through AT&T, but I’ve remained with Verizon still. But this whole situation is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.  I understand that at some point, in some fine print somewhere, there may have been some mention about the 30 days on a dumbphone data plans screws everything up but I honestly don’t ever recall being given any documents that said such things. In fact, prior to my most recent upgrade, I don’t recall being given any paperwork or signing anything since my upgrade to the DROID back in 2009.

    Going to the third party re-seller could be part of the issue, but also VZW now has a rule that if you go to a feature phone from a Smartphone, you have x amount of days to get back on a smartphone and keep unlimited data.Not much you can do to get around that.
    Going back to the Reseller. Even if VZW was able to get you back on the plan, you most likely would be hit with a $300+ETF from the reseller for changing something on your plan within 181 of sgning the contract with them.
    Either way, you would be paying more.

    I went into my nearest Best Buy store 2 days ago and pre-ordered the Note 4 for Verizon. Quick story, I was checking around the Best Buy site yesterday, browsing, and went to the Note 4 page to read over the promotion again. I noticed something that upset me. The price of the Note 4 for Verizon had increased from $299.99 to 349.((. I was not happy about this, and went into Best Buy to inquire about it. The manager wrote a note on my pre-order sheet that said the $299.99 price would be honored regardless of the price at time of pick-up. I asked him about the promotion while I was there.
    This is what I was told IN-STORE by a BB manager:
    "As long as you bring in a working smartphone that DOES NOT have water damage, and DOES NOT have a cracked screen, the phone will be eligible for the promotion. The $200 gift card you receive CAN be applied to the total cost of the phone."
    Regarding the thing with the dates, as long as you PRE-ORDER before 10/16, you will be eligible for the promotion.
    I'm hoping a Best Buy employee can chime in here and confirm all this. I too was worried like you, but if any funny business happens at the time of pick-up, I will definitely not screw around, and will cancel the entire thing before I accept not getting the promotion for any reason. I have asked multiple times now and have been assured that I'll be fine. This promotion is the whole reason I am upgrading through Best Buy and not directly through my carrier, and I hope I don't regret it.

Getting a $200.00 gift card would be icing on the cake, so I can understand why you would want concrete answers about our trade-in offer included with pre-ordering a new Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
    While we don’t anticipate it, pre-order prices can fluctuate over time given how far in advance we make items available to our customers. However, please know that you are guaranteed the lowest price with your pre-order. This means that if you purchased the phone on sale for $299.99 and the price rose to $349.99 the next week, your order should stay at $299.99. However, if you purchased it at $349.99 and the price drops to $299.99 after ordering, your order should drop down to the $299.99 when it’s ready for pickup. This is in accordance with our pre-order policy found here.
    To qualify for this trade-in offer, your current phone must meet the following requirements:
    1)      It must be able to turn on using battery power alone. Phones that require to be plugged into a power source to turn on will not qualify.

    You can check in Promotion Criteria, if such provision exists,
    But I suppose 2 option exists:
    a. Promotional prices for a single PLU
    b. Promotional prices for a group of PLUs
    Defining of range also talks about defining a range (high-low ) within which the price of the items must fall to be eligible for the promotion
    You can tweak on some other things, Pricing Method section,Pricing Target Type field or others to see this scenario of your's is possible or not in SAP POS.
