Language/Localization problem with Site Studio

I have created a small site using Site Studio. Now in the homepage, there is a select option box where the user have to choose a language (English or Japanese) based on which the text on the page should get converted in a particular language.
So for this, I have created a custom component where I have defined strings in the following way:
<@ja.wwMyString=My String in Japanese@>
<@fr.wwMyString=My String in French@>
<@en.wwMyString=My String in English@>
And when I see the text on the browser, it displays "My String in English" because the SystemLocale value is set as 'English-US'. So I need a way by which I can change the Locale of the site. So I have 2 questions:
1. How can I achieve the same?
2. Is my approach correct? Maybe there are better ways to do the same. I guess there will be a lot of manual work if I follow the approach described above.

Afterwards I installed the Ravenna Hosting Tutorial. It appears ok in the site studio configuration pages. But when I try to view the site I get a 404. In apache access.log I see:

Can someone give me a hand at what I'm doing wrong?

Managed to solve this.
The problem was with SSUrlMapPlugin.so not being loaded because of a missing dependency in the OS. I had to install libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb that is no longer on the Ubuntu 9.10 repositories so one has to fetch it from older releases.
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/gcc-2.95/libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb
dpkg -i libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb
And then restart apache and the content server.

(UCM) Problems with Site Studio

Hi! I've installed Content Server and Site Studio Designer for it today and tried to do an example from http://home.c2i.net/toreingolf/oracle/ucm/my_first_ucm_site.htm . Everything was fine: i've created header and footer fragments, i've created menu and breadcrumb fragment. Then i've created layout page and put all fragments there. After this i opened IE and tried to watch what i've got. Unfortunately there wasn't menu on my page. I tried to refresh page several times -> didn't help :). Then i tried to reload UCM. It didn't helped either. Then i decided to close Studio Designer (it was opened when i reloaded UCM). When i hit close button a message box appeared. It asked me whether i wanted to reload some scripts that were out of date. I hit "yes", Studio Designer made something and closed. After it i've finally seen my menu (so, all i needed was to reload that scripts!).
Then i tried to continue my tutorial and opened Studio Designer again. I've connected to my MFS site and tried to select "Layout Pages" from Site Assets dropdown list but i couldn't. It showed me error:

This error seems to suggest that you had recently moved from database.metadata to database.fulltext on your CS. Was that done? If yes then under \database\admin you will see a script batchsnippets.sql. Run that against your database and then try to do the same actions.
CS install guide says that when you set the search indexer engine as Full text then you need to run these scripts so that CS has the snippet functionality enabled for full text searches.

Problems with site definition in CS5

I am trying to define a new site in DW CS5. When I enter the site information in the dialogue box I get the following message:
The spry assets folder is not inside the site. Please select a valid folder in your local site root.
The program automatically creates a folder for Spry assets but the error message still appears. I tried creating a new folder, but had the same results. I can't get past this screen. Why is this happening?

Thanks for your prompt response. The problem is, if I am defining a new site, there are no pre-existing folders. I am calling my site "HF", so Dreamweaver automatically chooses "/Users/Aaron/Documents/HF/SpryAssets" as the default folder for spry assets. If I use the "browse for folder" icon, I can select another folder, but what else would I choose? (I tried choosing other folders, as well as creating a new folder, and neither worked).I'm really stumped!

Yes, it's an annoying bug. In the Site Definition dialog, go to the Advanced > Spry tab and use the "browse for folder" dialog to select your SpryAssets folder and it will fix the path for you.

Problem previewing Site Studio Data Files

I'm building a JSF webcenter application, which has lots of content that's going to be published using Site Studio.
Using Site Studio Designer, I have created:
- An element definition (WYSIWYG)
- A region definition that contains just the element above
- A region template, that simply outputs the element ()
- A placeholder definition, associated to the region definition and region template above
- Several Contributor Data Files, all of them associated to the region definition above
On the webcenter application:
- Content is shown using WCM_PLACEHOLDER (along with the templateDocName param)
- A link that points to the WCM_BEGIN_EDIT_SESSION service is exposed for the authenticated users
Additional UCM configuration:
- UCM accounts are activated
- Data files are categorized under the accounts created
- There are Workflows to approve modifications on the data files
Everything is working fine, but when reviewing content on the workflow for approval/rejection, the content itself is not displayed. Instead, it gives me the following error message: *"Region template is unavailable"*. I can see that this is the service being called to get the HTML rendition:

After 2 days trying to fix this problem, I finally posted it on the forum. 10 minutes later, I found the cause: the content item SS_DEFAULT_REGION_TEMPLATE, which is checked-in on the installation of the Site Studio components, was missing on my environment! (ie, someone deleted it)
Although it is clearly not a bug, it would be very nice for the error message to show the name of the region template that's unavailable, since these "system files" are not protected!

Language Localization Problem on Dock

I recently noticed that my trash icon on the dock has been changed to spanish language localization. I get 'Papelera' when I mouse over it. It is only on the administrative account. No other menus or icons are in spanish. I checked the international language settings in Preferences and they appear correct. I cannot figure out how to change it back to English. Help appreciated. Thanks.

Problems with DAZ studio on iMac g4

Hi!,
I use an iMac g4 15" (Flat Panel) display with 700 Mhz g4 chip and with Mac OS 10.4.11, and I'm having problems with OpenGL. I have version 1.1 and I need 1.3 so that the version 3.0.1.144 of DAZ 3D Studio can work.
If it's any help my graphics card is the original that comes out of the box (ie: Nvidia Gforce 2FX).

There is a possibility the version you want won't work on the computer
and that may be due to the hardware involved. In some cases, a basic
factor could be the OS X version available, outside of known GPU limits.
You can see how the graphics processors and Open GL specs work out
on the chart available on the following web page. And since the GPU is
not upgradable in your early original iMac G4 computer, that could be it.

Similarly, I don't really know how to write sql strings - I just give commands and Dreamweaver will generate the sql strings. Yet, I still observe errors. But I think, for the sql aspect, I'm undergoing a tutorial note that I downloaded on the internet.

It sounds like you do not have an internet connection (wifi arcs in the upper left does not mean you have a connection) since Safari does not work also.. Try the following:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iPhone and iPod touch: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

Problem with database-Studio

Hello
We use MaxDB for our SAP Systems and for our own applications(none SAP)
We upgradet our none-SAP Database from 7.7 to 7.8.02.21.
Then we tried the new Database Studio.
With problems!?
We have a schema BWALLE and a user BWPROGI.
When connecting to the database with SQL-Studio as BWPROGI we can see the schema BWALLE and all our tables.
When connecting to the database with Database Studio as BWPROGI we can't see the schema BWALLE and we can't see our tables??!!
We see 2 users BWPROGI and DBABW(the administrator).
Under BWPROGI there are no schemas!??
Under DBABW there are schemas(dbabw,domain,sysinfo) and all the tables/views belonging to these schemas.
What do we miss???
Why can we access our tables/views/indexes with SQL-Studio and not with Database-Studio.
Any help welcomed

Some more informations:
We have a group BWALLE nouser BWALLE.
The owner of the Schema BWALLE is the group.
The user BWPROGI is member of the Group BWALLE.
When connecting with SQL Studio as BWPROGI we see the schema BWALLE and all tables in the schema.
When connecting with MAXDB Maestro as BWPROGI we see the schema BWALLE and all tables.
When connecting with Database Studio as BWPROGI we can't see the schema BWALLE and don't see any table.
Connecting with SQL-Studio as BWPROGI shows the tables in schema BWALLE and we can read,update,... the data,
but with MAXDB 7.8 we get an error when doubleclicking on a table to look at the table structure.
With MAXDB Maestro everything works as expected.

Problem with OBPM Studio 10.3.2

Hi all,
I now have OBPM Studio 10.3.2 instead of 10.3.1. This new version indeed eliminates the loading part of presentations when you change a field.
But now I have another problem with presentations. When I try to add a group with either Basic or Custom Layout, it gives me an exception.
The exception is --> "An Unexpected Error Has occured" and all details of that error.
When I try and close it without saving and re-open studio, I cannot again open the presentation. It keeps giving me the same error. Even "Continue" does not work.
How do I resolve the error?
Or is there a patch online on this error?

Yes, there is a patch that fixed a couple of problems I was having with presentations as well. Try searching in metalink.oracle.com (or support.oracle.com) and for it.

Problem With Site Access

Hi guys,
I've been trying to access the Market Place as well as my account at: www.renderosity.com, but when I click to the Market Place on the link I get the message below (included also is my correspondence with the site's admin). I can access the rest of the site with no seeming problem. And it seems to be only that site that I have been having problems with. I have Java enabled and the block pop-up is unchecked. Problems with sun studio 12 in suse linux 11

I installed Sun Studio 12 suse linux with no problems. However, the debugging modules (DBX) are not working any more. When I started Sun Studio, it gave a message about modules that could not be loaded in tha moment. I did not pay attention. But I noticed that all debugging options were disabled.
Using the module manager, I saw the DBX module was not checked, and I could not change it. I was marked with a red X. So I thought to reinstall the application. However, the uninstall utility doesn't work either.
According with the documentation, running ./uninstaller does it, but I get the following error message instead

I tried to uninstall manually, and then execute installer, by using first the software manager in linux and deleting the producregistry file manually. It worked because I executed the installer. However, in Sun Studio IDE, debugging options are still not available despite I "reinstalled" the application. I checked the log files and they say the file uninstall_Sun_Studio_12.class could not be written.
So my questions are:
1. Is there any other way to repair Sun Studio? What could be the possible for this module to stop working?
2. Does anyone have an idea of why the installer cannot write the uninstaller class?
I found that perhaps problems regarding Java / Netbeans versions could be the problem, but the ones I have installed are those packages that were installed along with Sun Studio, and both are valid.

Perhaps you can simply delete the Sun Studio 12 installation tree, because it will not work on SUSE Linux 11.
This OS is not supported, so any problems you see with SS12 on SUSE 11 will not be fixed.
But we have a newer version, that should work better.
You can try to download and install Sun Studio Express 2008/11 (extract pre-installed image from tar.bz2 file).
Here is a pointer to the web page:

Problem with site-to-site connection

I have a problem with establishing site-to-site vpn connection between my 2911 and remote router.
I have different site-to-site vpn on second WAN interface and it works like a charm. I performed same steps in order to configure new VPN to different location, on first WAN interface, and I am not able to connect two locations.

Any ideas what is the cause? I must add, that right now I do not have access to remote router.

I finally figured out, that problem was with defaulr gateway on my router. Case closed.

Problems with site management

I have a problem with the site setup dialog box in the Site Management area in CS5. Only the "Advanced Settings" in the left panel is active. The other three selections do not not respond when clicked. My OS is Windows 7. Is this a known problem and what is the fix?

It is a new install. I have re-installed twice and also checked preferences, although I don't know quite what I am looking for (they appear to be OK). All with no resolution!

Problems with FL Studio: "Error while creating the ASIO driver."

I'm trying to use ASIO with FL Studio with my SB Live 24-Bit USB sound card. However, whenever I select "Creative ASIO USB" as my output device, I get the message "Insufficient USB Bandwidth. This device will reset to its default ASIO settings.", followed by "Error while creating the ASIO driver."
I've tried unplugging all other USB devices, switching USB ports, using a PCMIA USB 2.0 card, using Monster USB cables; all to no avail. It seems to me that there is plenty of USB bandwidth available but ASIO simply refuses to work.
Here are my laptop's specs (it's ancient but still good enough to run FL Studio):
P4 3.40GHz HT
1024MB PC3200 DDR RAM
SB Live 24-Bit USB sound card
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
Any suggestions?

It's OK, though, because I figured out the problem on my own. I had to change the "Device Control" settings in the Control Panel from 16 to 24-bit. Don't know why this would affect USB bandwidth, but whatever.
