Language suffix in name/display_name of wf_local_roles

Hi,
In the table wf_local_roles, the name and the display_name for suppliers (orig_system = WF_LOCAL_USERS) are being created with the language suffix (.AMERICAN).
However the email_address is correct.
For example: for the name (and display_name) [email protected], the mail address is [email protected]
We would like the synchronization process to use the mail address as the name without the language.
In the example, we would like the name, display_name and email_address to be [email protected]
How can we achieve that without changing standard Oracle API's etc?

How to remove greyed out ".local" suffix from name in mac 10.8.3

Hi. Ive got a really really annoying problem. I have to fix this.
Right now im running OSX 10.8.3 and when i go on airdrop, my icon displays my account picture and below that it says "Other people in AirDrop can see your Mac as localhost when their computer is nearby. Now my question is, how on earth can i change my name back to something normal like "Harrison"? And get rid of this "localhost" nonsense.
When i try sharing and unlock the padlock, i try to edit my name but its just greyed out! and when i click edit i can change my name to whatever i want, but after my name, there is always a greyed out suffix saying ".local" that i cannot change no matter what i do!
When i try terminal hacks, nothing changes. This is really starting to annoy me, and whoever manages to fix it, i can offer a small reward.

Language depedent key names in captures

In CaptureTextTemplates_language.rdl I have found a lot of defaults for capturing. But the names of the keys themselfes are not within that file. Instead of "Ctrl+C" with a German keyboard layout the text would be correct with "Strg+C". Any chance to also make the texts for the keys language dependent?

For existing recordings, you can always use the Find and Replace functionality.
I might assume that if you were using an authentic system configured for the language that it would rendeer the text appropriately. Assuming it's not doing that, I'll suggest you file a Wish Form/Bug Report to advise Adobe. (Link is in my sig)

Language and account name issues

Hello,
is it possible to change the language of the automated email (after creating a user), without editing the account language?
How can I change my name in the account information? Adobe Connect puts some numbers behing my normal name.

I don't believe there is a way to change the system email language, other than changing the language of the server.
You should be able to click on Administration > Users and Groups. Search for your account, select it and click Information. You should then see an option to Edit your information.

How to suffix user name and password remote pc in shutdown /s command

Hi,
We can shutdown a remote pc using " shutdown /s /m \\ipaddress " command, only if password of remote pc is stored in windows credential manager.
But how to add user name and password when i execute the command for example : when we map a share folder on our pc we use below command with user name and password
"net use * \\ipaddress\share password /user:username "
can we give user name and password of remote pc while we give shutdown command to turn off a remote pc (without adding user name and password to windows credentials).

Based on my test, I can use the command shutdown /s /m \\10.157.21.77 to shutdown the remote computer when the have the same username and password.
Do you mean that you want to add user name and password when you want to shutdown the remote computer?
I can't find a user name and password in Windows Credential Manager, please share us a screenshot.

HT5429 Changing language of street names in Apple maps

How can I change my street names to French or English instead of Flemish?

The names of streets should show up in whatever languge is official or predominant for the locale (meaning if you look at a map of France, it will show street names in french). There is a Map Label setting in the Settings app for maps, but I don't beleive it will effect street names.

No longer see street names in local language after...

In WP8, I can have English as the Phone Language and Chinese as the Browser & Search Language, and see street names in Chinese in Here Maps and Here Drive, as i'm in a Chinese-spoken country. However, after upgrade to 8.1, I can no longer enjoy the benefit of dual languages, as when i have English as the phone language, the street names are all displayed in English (not exactly the correct name in Chinese) and voice navigation would sound funny... Any way i can get the dual language capability back? I've tried different country/format setting but none works... Thank you.

Not really. I previously tried that already. I added Chinese (Taiwan) and moved up pre-existing English as the phone language. Also set navigation voice in Here Drive+ to Chinese. Result:
1. Street names still shows in English (it goes with phone language obviously), like "Da Xing Rd." However, some landmarks will show in both languages.
2. Navigation voice is in Chinese but all the street names are announced in English, so e.g. "Da Xing Rd." is announced as "Da-Sing-R-D". ("St." will be announced as "S-T"...) (This is the same as in WP8)

Column name in ALV table dissapeared after new language package installatio

We have a custom field in an ALV table in SAP system. In english everything was just fine with our custom field.
But when we installed a new languaged the column name dissapeared.
My question is:
Where does the ALV get the column name from? Is there a standard method which I can search for which is used for this purpose in ALV?

the field name comes from data element FIELD name you have specified when creating ur custom field..
try to change that field name for that field..

Unify organization names in different languages

Hi,
I have registered organizations in the system sometimes while logged in US language (base language), some times in another language.
This causes that people which are logged in the system in different languages see organization names with different names.
Is there any way to update hr_all_organization_units_tl table, so that both languages have the same name of organizations?

In order to simplify the issue, I thought to avoid the update of the table by neglecting this value while building the reports and use the value from the other language. But I have another problem, when I execute the report, the value userenv('lang') is alwas US (which is base install language) even though I run the report with other language. I see that the business views use userenv('lang') for selecting from this table.
How can I set the language from the reports?

DNS (internal domain has same name as external website)

Our internal domain name is called "abc.com" and our company website is called "abc.com". I have created an "A" record that points to
www.abc.com so staff can browse the website from within the office. The problem is that if people enter "abc.com" from a web browser with the office it does not resolve in an efficient manner. Can someone please

I still consider the idea which Jorge provided about prevent register DC’s A record . This probably cause some un-expected issues,
because this record is used for DFS and GPOs. So I don’t recommend this method.
Meanwhile , I have thought as same as Ace’s second suggestion, if the environment or policy of your company allow deploy IIS on your
DC server , I thought this could be a possible resolution.
And I have a tips for your reference. If client’s browser is IE, by default, when you type web address in address bar,
and press “ Ctrl + Shift +Enter “,IE will auto add Prefix WWW to the beginning of typed web address. In your case , users just type “abc” in address bar, and press “ Ctrl + Shift +Enter “
You can set this at “Prefix and Suffix option” which located at “Internet Options”/ “General”
Tab / ”language” button.

I've actually found by default, just hitting Ctrl + Enter (without the shift key) puts in the 'www' and 'com.' but it only works for the 'com' TLD' by deffault. I guess you could add 'net' in the General tab, Language, suffix option to use ctrl-shift-enter,
or whatever the actual internal TLD name is.

Catalog id is not getting displayed properly in Foreign Language (French)

Hi All,
I have created a web service id for the external catalog and I have assigned the same to one of the user. The name of the web service id is getting displayed properly in the shopping cart creation screen when the language is English. But when we are changing the user language to Foreign language (French), the name is not getting displayed properly.
Could you please advise me if there any settings needs to be done in the parameters of the specific web service id. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
Go to External Web Services and the select the web service ID. Then click on GOTO >Translation and select the language and enter the description of the web service as to be disaplyed while users log in French against the language.

Problem with pages name in dashboard Oracle BIEE 11g

Hello.
I use Oracle BIEE 11.1.1.3.0
I have dashboard 'CBR_CTLOG'. Dashboard has two pages 'Протокол контроля' and 'Протокол контроля детализированный'.
Both pages have dashboards prompt with active "Apply to all prompt pages"
When I go from 'Протокол контроля' to 'Протокол контроля детализированный', I get error:
Invalid path (/shared/CBR/_portal/CBR_CTLOG/РџСЂРѕС‚РѕРєРѕР» РєРѕРЅС‚СЂРѕР»СЏ РґРµС‚Р°Р»РёР·РёСЂРѕРІР°РЅРЅС‹Р№) -- path not found in dashboard
But when pages have English name "Test" and "Test2", I don't get this error.
I think, it's connected with that I don't use English languages for pages name, and BI EE don't make link for crossing.
How can I solve this problem, because I can't use English names for pages.

How to set the default file name for upload

Also, I missed another point.
In the folder c:\dbdata I have a number of CSV files on the user frontend. I would like the BSP application to get the list of files in the folder and process them one after the other. How can I get the list of files on the folder in the user PC and how to process them one after the other.
I want the form to display only the default folder and once I press on upload it must process all files and display the status of processing on the same page.
Please kindly share ideas how I can implement this app.

GUI_DOWNLOAD in foreign language(Korean Language)

Hi All,
This is in regards with FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'.
We are on 4.7 with logon language as English.We have created a ALV report which has ALV output and has column value in Korean language like customer name, address etc.The ALV shows correct Korean language in output.
We have made two buttons on toolbar which basically downloads the data in excel file through FM GUI_DOWNLOAD.
The data is downloaded propely in excel but the korean language comes as all ####. There is also a standard download to excel option in ALV which I tried and which gives proper Korean language dump in excel.
I tried debugging the program and passed the coding parameter in GUI_DOWNLOAD as 4103.But the out put comes as some garbage wherever there is a Korean language.
The problem is standard export to excel works fine but the same in GUI_DOWNLOAD gives garbage value.
Kindly suggest something to download into excel in proper output (Korean language).

Thai language characters not displaying correctly in browser

Hello all
I am starting to develop a multilingual application which will include both english and thai.
The problem Im having is that the browser displays only garbage when Im fetching a report on a table that includes Thai characters in a column.
What Im seeing is something like this:
Language Id     Short     Name
0     ENG     English
1     THA     à¸à¸à¹à¸à¸¢
Things that I have checked:
- The database character set is AL32UTF8
- The same is set for NLS_LANG when starting the database, listener, OHS
- The same is configured in dads.conf
- The browser is set to Unicode as well ( and can display normal thai websites without any problems)
I have tested on a windows 7 client, as well as locally to the database on the linux box using firefox, both show the same result.
In xterm I have no problems inserting and querying thai characters. Its all shown correctly.
I tried with chinese characters as well, and I see the same result.
Any ideas please let me know

Sorry to interrupt you in this thread, Me too having the saming requirement of displaying my apex application in both Arabic and English.
Hence i have accomplished of displaying the page name, labels, and all the other stuff related to page in arabic expect the data, im not sure of displaying the data in arabic soon after the user select the Arabic language.
From your thread i can see that you are seeing your data in Thai it seems, if you dont mind can you share the stesp you did for showing the data in thai so that i can try the same for my Arabic too.
