BT are quoting me £25 per month for Broadband Option 1 + anytime calls + standard vision, with a 12 month contract.
Is this a good deal?
I was going to wait for Youview, but now it's put off till next year....or who knows when?

So basically £12.50 for Vision Gold and £12.50 for BB 1 + calls.
Some users on here have quoted prices of £9.99 for BB unlimited option 3 + calls and £7.50 for Vision Gold.
I pay £15 for BB option 3 and £12.50 for Vision, but I think the users above were renewing their contract.

What's a good deal for renewing my Broadband?

My phone and broadband contract is up for renewal soon.
Last time I renewed my BB contact for 12 months, and the deal was as follows.
"Talk & Surf Plus" Package on option 1 at a cost of £14.99 per month, plus a one-off discount of £24.
The package includes unlimited anytime call plan, and also a new hub [which I did not ask for, and do not really need]
I do not do much heavy downloading of video or music and am not really interested in taking on BT Vision.
Can anyone offer advice as to what a good deal would be from BT for a further 12-18 month contract?

More Broadband plus Anytime Calls isn't listed as ...

I'm currently on a package which I believe is equivalent to "Broadband and Anytime Calls"; that is, I have a usage limit of 10Gb on broadband and pay to have free calls of up to an hour at any time.
I'd like to consider upgrading to "More Broadband and Anytime Calls", i.e. increase the usage limit to 40Gb and keep to free calls.
However, when I look at the list of available packages (http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633&packid=bb2-uwp&...), this combination is not listed.
Of course, if my exchange ever gets BT Infinity (probably about 2020!), I'd like to consider More Broadband plus Anytime plus Infinity, but that combination isn't listed either!
How do I find out what the price of my most obvious upgrade is? I've wasted over half an hour trying to see if this combination exists, but the web site keeps coming back to "More Broadband and Calls". As this only includes Weekend calls, not Evenings, so, for the phone usage it's actually a significant *downgrade* from Anytime!
Why can't BT just have a simple page where you select which level of broadband you want, which level of calls, whether you want Infinity or BT Vision, etc, and then it just tells you a price?
Actually, my average usage over the past 8 months has been about 8Gb per month, so a jump to 40Gb is overkill, but I'm finding that, when I work from home, my usage comes extremely close to the 10Gb limit, so I think I'm going to have to upgrade.

Anytime call plan and hub phone?

I have been a BT customer for almost a year now, and have upgraded to anytime call plan, and i use 2 hub phones.
I use the hub phones just like landlines, i make and recieve calls all the time wether computer is on or not.
I am just wondering now, will my anytime UK free call plan prices still count, or will i be charged the minute rate for using hub phones?

Two possibilities to consider.
Assuming she doesn't have one already, you could get your daughter a basic unlocked mobile phone for less than £20. Then you can get a SIM-only deal from a supermarket (think beef lasagne) for a tenner a month for 500 minutes of calls and 5000 texts. You'll probably need to stress that it's 500 mins and 5000 texts a month, not a day.
You could spend a one-off £30 on the recently-reduced BT6500; looks like a bargain right now. If gentle persuasion doesn't work you could then block calls to mobiles.

Found a fix for windows not recognizing vision M, possible for oth

I went through the same frustration as so many people about windows not recognizing my vision M. Here's how I solved it. Go to device manager (right click on My Computer, choose manage then device manager) go to the unrecognized usb device, right click and choose update driver. choose no fior connecting to windiows update, then install software from a specific location, now choose don't search, I will choose the driver to install, find and install the driver for portable devices called MTP device. this should solve the issue. this is only for players not recognized by windows. I'm not sure if some versions of wondows can't figure out where to find the driver or what.

Minimally you need Snow Leopard or greater:

Overcharged for inclusive 0845 calls

Hi I'm on the Unlimited Anytime Call Plan.
Between 22nd and 25th June I've been charged for all 0845 calls no matter the duration, which I shouldn't be.
I've called BT twice about this issue, weeks before the bill was due, however I am still due to pay the full amount.
Please correct the £18.06 overcharge immediately for the payment of this bill and not on the next one.

Have you spoke to BT about this as this is easy to rectify?
Also what duration are the calls?
You do know the following I take it:
1)you get 150 calls or 1000minutes to use in any 30day rolling period,if you exceed this you will be charged the standard rate for anything after that and will have the use of 0845/0870 removed for any future use.
2)You cannot dail indirect access numbers ie dail up Internet,international numbers routed through 0845/0870 numbers etc.
3)You have to still hang up before the hour and redail.
These are clear in the terms & conditions but speak to BT and they will confirm any details remember to have your account number when discussing call itemization as this is needed for validation.

I'm trying to confirm my thoughts/assumptions on the development of custom screens. We are installing the various pieces of NW04s and expect the majority of our users to access ECC transactions through the SAP Portal (using Web GUI for HTML). Also, we will have a significant number of custom screen requirements; some may be enhancements to existing SAP delivered screens; others may be new screen development.
What is SAP's latest recommendation for custom screen development?
More specifically, what are various options and their advantages and disadvantages?
For example:
**Web Dynpro for Java
+ easy Portal integration
- requires NW Dev Studio/Infrastructure
**Web Dynpro for Java
+ Development tools within Workbench
- more difficult to integrate in the Portal
**Z transaction development with Screen Painter
**HTML/JavaScript or similar
etc....

For me , I have only two choices
1. Web Dynpro for Java
Great front end IDE to work with, only issue could be the performance issue, while Java is trying to communicate with SAP ECC.
2. Web Dynpro for ABAP
Relatively new, however a good tool to work with. Performance improvement compared to Java Web Dynpro.
I don't think you should have a concern of integrating this with Portal, as you have a separate iView for ABA Web Dynpro. The screen can be developed on the SAP ECC and then can be called from the Portal screen.
You still have other options like developing normal dynpro - but that will not give a look and feel of the web interface. BSP / PCUI are the other choices but given the roadmap of SAP for UI, I would stick to Web Dynpro for ABAP / Java.

So, I bought Logic Pro 9 about a month ago, not knowing that Pro X was getting released anytime soon. I was expecting some kind of deal for having the previous version??? (à la Reason, even though apple is definetly not Propellerhead).

"Standard policy" is to grandfather back 14 days, because that is the standard return window.
You can ask Customer Service, just don't hold your breath waiting for a miracle.

Skype for Business, Transfer Calls appears blank

After the latest Skype For Business update a set of machines can no transfer calls.When attempting to transfer the "Invite by Name or Phone Number" screen is just a white box with an (x) close button.Once the June update KB/3054791 is removed:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3054791The machine is able to see the UI and transfer the calls correctly?Has anyone see this with the June update? We have further verified that if change your desktop setting for the resolution it wil make the transfer call window blank Default DPI is set to 125%. Doesn't work.100% works fine. 126% also works fine. We have been able to reproduce this on two other machines. Can someone also test to see if the same results happen.

A little more info... I've gone back to an affected computer and verified that setting the DPI to 125% for an unaffected user causes the issue in that situation. Many of our other computers don't exibit this issue after the KB3054791 update regardless of the DPI setting. I did try updating the video drivers on one of the affected computers and that made no diffrence. I'm still not sure what the correlation is between computers that are affected and computers that are not affected. It's very perplexing.

Can iPhone be set to silent ring for all unknown calls

I want my iPhone to not ring except for numbers on my contact list. Can this be done?

I understand what you're recommending, but I wish Apple would provide an option to automatically assign a silent ringtone to all incoming calls from numbers not listed in Contacts. Then I wouldn't need to go back and assign a ringtone to every single one of my Contacts.
The problem I am trying to deal with is nuisance calls from telemarketers who assign spoof caller ID numbers with international area codes. My phone number is registered with DoNotCall.gov, but when I enter the numbers from the Caller ID to report them on the DoNot Call website, it says the area codes are incorrect. It won't recognize international area codes. Every time I get one of these calls, the caller ID shows a different number. So there is no way to block using individual numbers. Plus, the calls aren't really coming from the numbers showing up on the caller ID, so blocking those numbers wouldn't do any good, and there is no way for me to find out the numbers that the calls are actually originating from. And anyway Verizon Wireless only lets you block up to 10 numbers and I have gotten 10 of these calls in just the past two days.

Updated latest update for maverick and am having issues

i updated this past weekend to the latest update for Mavericks. and cannot get past the system setting up screen. what can i do to get past this?

apologizes, the mac is intel, and the update was downloaded from apple. as I recall it asked me if I wanted to setup icloud, and I clicked later. then it started saying "setting your mac up.....".I let it go for a while, two times, thinking it needed more time. it did not take me to the desktop at all.
I just read a discussion about reinstalling mavericks to repair what might have a snag. i also have a call into apple later when i get home.
can you elaborate on reinstalling the mavericks, for repair, without erasing the drive?

Receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls

For the past several weeks I have been receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls on my iOS devices that were never actually placed by the other party.
I talk to this other person using FaceTime on a regular basis, but ..
my iOS devices or my Mac never give me an indication on an incoming call
the other person never actually places a call at that time
I usually find out a few minutes later when checking my iPhone that there was a missed FaceTime Audio call (always Audio calls). I iMessage the person back and get told they never tried calling at that specific time.
By now I advised them to change their iCloud password ('cause I'm paranoid), which they did, but it still keeps happening.
Is this some kind of glitch with FaceTime/iOS? Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
All my devices run the latest software updates <iOS 8.1.3(12B466) on an iPhone 5s>.

I am having this same issue. I have noticed that the "missed facetime audio" occurs at the same time that I receive any regular cell call.
