Launching AIR in middle of screen

My AIR app can launch anywhere on the desktop. Is there a way to cause it to launch in the middle of the screen?

Try this code (works for me ) in the 'creationComplete' function of the windowedApplication:
nativeWindow.x = (Capabilities.screenResolutionX - nativeWindow.width) / 2;
nativeWindow.y = (Capabilities.screenResolutionY - nativeWindow.height) / 2;

I have also noticed the drop down menu arrow on Numbers Tabs has dissappeared since move.
you know the invisible arrow that appears in the additional tabs pages in "Numbers program"
Especially an inconvenient for previous Numbers users as you all know.

If the reset doesn't work:
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

Air bubble underneith my screen?

I have the BlackBerry Curve 9300, and I have had it since November 2010. I just noticed about a half hour ago that there is an air bubble underneith my screen. Its right in the middle of my screen and when I press/push on it, it moves all over the screen and spreads out but then goes right back to the middle of my screen when I stop pressing on my screen, its like a thin oblong bubble but when I press my screen it moves to any shape. Also, my screen is extremely sensitive now, when my finger slightly touches my screen, it makes the look and colours when you inteensly touch your screen, like goes black where you press and stuff. What is this? Why is it happening all of a sudden and what do I do?

I Know what the problem is, the same thing happened to my iPhone.
The bubble is just from heat, which means that your iPhone basically melted underneath the top glass layer. This happens to many iPhones, and iPods. The bubble will usually form in the corners, or, around the edge.
If you have Apple Care, bring it into Apple and you will either receive a new iPhone for free, or, you will receive a new iPhone for a low price.
If you don't have Apple Care, the bubble will not effect the way your iPhone works in ANY way. You can just wait until your phone contract ends, then trade in your old iPhone for your new iPhone, and Apple will still take your iPhone.

OR use this method
1. Press-hold the Home button (big circle below the screen)and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
2. Continue holding both buttons (Ignore the"Slide to power off") until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.
3.You may let go when you see the silver Applelogo.

After i upgrded to 4.0 i no longer have the search box in the middle of screen. is this correct?

on the home page of firefox, i no longer have the search box in the middle of screen. my whole screen is blank except for the menu bar.

You still have the option of using the slideshow feature in the Photos app. It's not in the lock screen anymore, but it is stll available there.

I submitted my feedback and it reads "Hi Apple, My family owns an Ipod Shuffle, 2 Nanos, 2 iphones, one ipad and the AppleTV. However, I have an HP laptop. Why? I want the features of both the laptop and the ipad but am not willing to convert to the MAC book until the ipad and the mac book merge together as one. Is this even a possibility? I know you could create it in a split second. Why do you think you haven't? I get sick of unclicking the ipad from my cheap keyboard and then having it all cluttered up right by my laptop. If the mac book had a touch screen and it could flip the keyboard upside down (like the clam case does) so that I could use a laptop like an ipad then I would be on cloud 9. No pun intended. Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off".

Flex 3.3 can't launch AIR apps on Mac

When using the 3.3 SDK if I try to debug an application I get
this error:
Process terminated without establishing connection to
debugger.
If the program is already running, close it before attempting
to debug.
I have tried all manner of restarting down to my full system.
Flex/Flash Player works fine, its just launching AIR. If I try to
run the AIR app (rather than debug) nothing happens at all --
nothing launches, no errors, nothing.
I'm using a MacBook Pro, Intel Core2Duo, OSX 10.5. The
problem has been replicated on a coworkers' Mac as well. I haven't
tested on Windows.

Speaker stays showing constantly in middle of screen

How do we remove the speaker icon which shows constantly in the middle of the screen no matter what we try to do to remove it? We have tried to do a factory reset yet still it remains. Anyone have a clue how to remove this speaker icon in middle of screen? Thank you.

Sounds like one of the volume control buttons is stuck. Has the device been dropped or other wise abused?

Your warranty is actually one year - the 90-days is only for free telephone support - but the warranty would not cover damage due to the iPad being dropped. I doubt there's anything you can do to fix the rocker, so you'll probably need to pay to get the iPad exchanged (by Apple) or repaired (by a third party repair service).

There needs to a be a space before -fullscreen and that switch needs to be placed after the quotes
*"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -fullscreen
But I don't think that it will work. Firefox 4 doesn't have that switch by default, so support should be added via an extension.

Why does Logic only initially open on one of my monitor screens despite launching it from the other screen's dock?

I have a second monitor hooked up to my iMac. How come when I launch Logic from the second screen's dock, it only ever launches in the primary iMac screen? I thought Mavericks was all about screen independence . . .
I'm thinking about buying a 27" second monitor to replace my smaller one so that I have extra screen real estate for Logic, but if I can't launch Logic into it by default, I am having second thoughts.

Sounds like abad hard drive. The clicking sound is coming from the HD. The folder with the question mark means that your computer can't find the statrup disk or the hard drive.
Boot your computer using the install disc and check if Disk Utility can recognize your HD. If not, then it needs HD replacement. If you have AppleCare or within the 1 year warranty, then replacement should be free from Apple. Check the nearest Apple Store in your area.

Apps appear small in the middle of screen, fix?

I bought apps on my iPod touch and they transferred to my new ipad2, but they are only small in middle of screen. I can magnify them, but then they appear blurry. How do I get them to be full screen?

THese are iPhone/iPod touch apps that Re not optimized for the langer iPad screen. You can make them larger by clicking on "2X" symbol in the lower-right orner, but they might look pixelated.
WHen purchasing apps in the App Store, pay attention to the 'universl' plus symbol and the app's description, or filter by device type.

How to launch a WebHelp Project Full Screen

Folks still having a problem trying to launch my WebHelp
project full screen from our local intranet page. The project still
opens within the window of the Intranet page (so I loose quite a
bit of screen space).
This is what I have done so far:
In the Windows folder I selected the Properties option for
the NewWindow and:
1. Re named the Window Caption
2. Unchecked the Use Default Browser Settings and selected
just the resizable option
Next I selected the WebHelp file and clicked on Publish
Then clicked on the View Primary Layout to view the changed
project unfortunately none of the changes took effect!
Is it possible for a WebHelp project to open full screen in
it’s own window?
