Eclipse - adding libraries

kk ive just copied my old workspace in (had to reformat my computer) and i get the error that i need the mysql connector. Ive never got that error b4. ne way, i download teh connector, add it into the jars in the projects build path, but the error wont go away. any ideas?
Project Elcire is missing required library: C:\eclipse\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14-bin.jar'

It sounds like it is looking for this file but it no longer exists in this location. If you have it on your computer then right-click and select add external jars so Eclipse knows where to look for this file.

  • Adding libraries to WD projects (WD for Java)

    Hi,
    How do you add your own jar files to a WD project? According to this help: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5b/a0480cb4a14747b60cf4d6b23c0a44/content.htm, the jars would sit in the WDA archive under PORTAL/libs. However, how do you get them there?
    In NetWeaver Developer Studio, I have tried placing them in the lib folder under the root of the project, but they are no being included in my archive.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Martin,
    Copy the JAR files to the lib directory of your WD project, add them to the build path and build the project.(Right click the project --> properties --> java build path --> libraries tab --> add external jars).
    However, if you want to add it to a DC then you may refer:

  • Will support be provided to explicitly added libraries while migrating?

    Hi,
    I have migrated my project from Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 to 11.1.2.2.0.
    After the migration was done , some of the imports were not found by default in Jdeveloper , so they were manually added into the Libraries & Classpath of Project Properties .
    These were the jar files:
    Com.bea.core.weblogic.security.auth_1.1.0.0.jar
    Wls-api.jar
    Com.bea.core.weblogic.security.identity_1.1.2.1.jar
    Will Jdeveloper provide these jar files for the new releases keep coming in the future ?
    Thanks,
    Nigel.

    Hi,
    JDeveloper doesn't keep track of your custom library references but its own libraries defined. If library names change then this may require manual correction, which cannot be avoided. If the JAR is part of the WLS platform then the library JARs will be provided

  • Jws, adding libraries to deployed program

    Hello,
    I am having a problem and I cannot figure it out nor can I find anything online to help.
    I have a deployed JWS application. The application is changing in a way that requires new drivers and libraries to be added (Oralce JDBC drivers). I have a "launch.jnlp" file which points to a separate jnlp file for its libraries ("component.jnlp").
    To deploy the new program with the new libraries, I added a line to the component.jnlp file:
    Old File:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>

I have not modified the program to use the Oracle-based functions yet but that won't work anyways unless the program downloads the new libraries.
    I have a sneaking suspicion if I were to manually edit the DEPLOYED jnlp file then it would download the library, but the program is distributed and I am not able to manually edit everyone's jnlp files.
    How do you get a deployed JWS program to download new libraries? This seems like it should be easy.

    Rashmi,
    Following observations from the error log:
    a)  DC temp/jxljar1 is External Library DC; if I am not wrong.
    b) Once the J2EE DC is deployed; automatically jxljar1 should also be loaded in server
    Coming to the issue you are facing; plz let us know following points:
    a) Are you trying to transport the content from one landscape to the other i.e. development to QA?
    b) During what operation and in which unit(DTR/CMS/CBS);you are facing the issue?

  • Problem with adding Sun JSF RI v1.2 as a new library in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1

    Hi,
    I have a problem with adding a latest JSF 1.2 RI from Sun (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/files/documents/1866/44998/jsf-1_2_03.zip) to JDeveloper as a new library.
    I created a new User library and added into it jsf-impl.jar and jsf-api.jar from JSF 1.2 RI.
    Then I try to create two new JSP Tag libraries based from .tld files.
    When a .tld file is placed in "TLD File:" field there is no information below about Library Version and Required JSP Version. If I check "Execute Tags in JSP Visual Editor" and click "Customize" button - list of tags in "Customize Tag Library" window is empty.
    I have errors when I try to use JSF Tags from this new library in JSP page like :
    "Can't create tag instance: f:view (class: null). Make sure, that the tag class or a library contained this class is available in this application"
    (free translation to English)
    Is this possible to add JSF RI v1.2 as another library in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?
    thanks for help
    koli

    Hi,
    This solution is not exactly for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.x I think.
    - "Create a JSF system library." section, point 2. - there is not possible to add library in folder other than User I see, so I added it in User folder.
    - "Register the JSF JSP tag libraries." section, point 5. - in JD 10.1.3 there is no dialog box, I checked checkbox "Show Tag Library in Palette". A new library was added to User folder but there is no new libraries in component Palette.
    Even as I use "Edit tag libraries .." from Component Palette context menu and add manually new tag libraries to selected, there is no libraries in Component Palette after it.
    I feel so problem is with different .tld files format, not with adding libraries method.
    Sun RI tld file (from version 1.2_03) fragment:

  • Creating multiple libraries and using an external drive for data

    I'm a recent switcher and new to iphoto. On the windows platform, I used adobe album. I have a around 10k of images that I put on an external drive which is attached to my new imac. I deleted the iphoto folder and redirected it to my images on my external. All is working great. I'm looking for some advise on work flow of file/iphoto management. i.e. I'm assuming the more images I accumulate, the slower I photo is going to run? I hear you can create multiple iphoto libraries. Will that only load the photos that are associated with the library and I'm assuming optimize iphoto's performance versus always loading every photo you have taken every time you work in iphoto? If adding libraries is the way to go, can someone direct me to instruction on how to do this?
    This may be beyond this threads scope but I plan to put all my data (iphoto, imovies, itunes) onto an external drive in order to keep the imac main drive as clean a possible. Is my thinking correct in doing so. Any negative repercussion in doing so?

    Joe:
    I'm assuming the more images I accumulate, the slower I photo is going to run?
    You'll have to get quite a lot of photos into iPhoto before you start to see a real slowdown in performance. Users have reported libraries of 40K files and they perform just fine. However, do not keep all of rolls open as that will really do a job on the performance. Just open the rolls you need and close them all before quitting.
    Yes, you can use multiple libraries and only load what's in each. I use iPhoto Library Manager to manage and move quickly between 10 libraries. With the paid version of iPLM you can move albums and/or rolls between libraries as needed and keep the keywords, ratings, and comments intact.
    Using an external HD in order to maintain sufficient free space (10G minimum is what I recommend) on the boot drive to help optimize performance is a very good idea.
    As far as any negative aspects, it would be a good idea to have a second external HD as a backup to the working external HD. You can't be too careful with those image files (and other important files) that can't be replaced.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Error when installing a Custom Component

    Hi there,
    I wrote a custom component and built the according jar-file. The next step was to import the jar-file into the workbench.
    When I tried to do so the following error occurred (workbench .log file):
    !ENTRY com.adobe.DSC_Admin_UI 4 4 2008-01-15 16:05:43.418
    !MESSAGE install of C:\tmp\adobe-components\adobe-component.jar failed

    Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\ArchiveStore\306\at\integrata\livecycle\component\Boot strapImpl.class (The system cannot find the path specified)
    The problem is, that the workbench is not running on the same computer as the ES server. When I extract the jar-file manually into the considered directory on the server everything works fine.
    Is this a bug or even not possible to import components from a remote workbench?
    kind regards
    Michael

    Hy all,
    I have been having the same problem.
    I think the cause with me is that I added libraries my component needs manually into the jar-file of my component and sometimes I added the component.xml file manually into the component-jar. I use 7Zip for this but every I did that I could not get the component to install correctly, unless I unpacked it manually in the temp-dir.
    I believe this is happens because when I manually place files in the jar file with a tool like 7Zip they are automatically being compressed and the jar-file of a component must not be compressed.
    So therefore I imported everything correctly in my Eclipse-project and now when I Export my component to a jar-file, everything is included and I don't have to place files manually into the jar-file of my component.
    When I install a component created like that I don't have any problems.
    Hope this helps for you to.

    RonnyR

         at Service.main(Service.java:19)I don't know whether it is a problem of eclipse or source code level.Indeed,running the application via browser is working fine but using eclipse it is not working.Is there any setup to be considered in eclipse to enable web start?If so how to do such things for the same?
    Could anyone clarify my doubts?

  • Right way to manage ADF Library Dependencies

    Hi,
    I am working on an application where we are trying to components in individual Libraries for re-usability and logical grouping.
    These jar files are then imported into parent projects which can result in different levels of dependency hierarchies.
    From what I have seen there are different ways of importing components / libraries onto a project.
    1. We can directly drag a component like Data control (from Data Control palette) from one project to a page on another (for example from a model project to a ui project)
    2. Deploy the model project as a ADF library jar, go to the resource palette, create a connection, right click on the library and do an add to project.
    3. From the resource palette, expand the library structure, locate the Data control and drag it onto the page of the parent project
    My question is:
    a> What is the difference between these three ways of importing components from one project to the other.
    b> Which is the best way for deployment and future maintenance.
    thanks

    1. We can directly drag a component like Data control (from Data Control palette) from one project to a page on another (for example from a model project to a ui project)This will be applicable if you have a dependiency.. ro you have an adf library reference for your project..
    datacontrol - Business components referenced in bc4j.cfg
    other datacontrlols will be defined in DataBindings.cpx file
    2. Deploy the model project as a ADF library jar, go to the resource palette, create a connection, right click on the library and do an add to project.This is through file connection.. This is the most prompt way of adding libraries.. to the project.. so that there wont be an absolute references..
    3. From the resource palette, expand the library structure, locate the Data control and drag it onto the page of the parent projectagain same as poiint 2.. but for datacontrol..
    a> What is the difference between these three ways of importing components from one project to the other. point 1 say dependecies.. in a single applicatioon between different project.. absoultely fine..
    point 2.. will alway go with relative path.. and have an advantage of not having absolute path..
    point 3. si same as 2
    b> Which is the best way for deployment and future maintenanceI will suggest you to go for 2.. as its the standard way of adding libraries..

  • Error opening a Manage Report template with Formulas and Summation

    Hi Expert,
    My j2ee web application is setup is such a way that when there is NO connectivity to the Crystal Report Server XI, it will use the Crystal Report for Eclipse functionality and opening report templates located in the relative path - This works fine.
    But when there is a connectivity to the CMS Server, I have this error when opening a manage report in Crystal Report Server XI that contains formulas and summations. But for other reports like chart and listings no problem.
    This code triggers the error:
    ReportClientDocument clientDoc = reportAppFactory.openDocument(infoObject,0, java.util.Locale.US);
    I found out there's a conflict between CR libraries  for Eclipse and libraries for RAS Enterprise Server XI.
    How can I solve this issue so that I can support the two scenarios - with or without CMS connectivity, I can still view reports.
    Error Stack Trace:

    Hoping for your answers.

    You must isolate the CR4E and RAS SDK jars using separate classloaders - simplest is have separate apps, if rolling your own class loaders is out of project scope.
    They do not work together.

  • Error while building SUP based iphone client application

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error while building the application for iphone simulator. I tried by changing search path settings and added libraries to Link binary search path.I really stuck here. Any body please help me how to solve it.
    Undefined symbols for architecture i386:
    "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SUPMessageClient", referenced from:
    objc-class-ref in SUP101AppDelegate.o
    "_OBJC_CLASS_$_MBOLogger", referenced from:
    objc-class-ref in SUP101AppDelegate.o
    objc-class-ref in SUP101CallbackHandler.o
    Thanks in advance
    Bala

    Hi Rockky/Wang
                    I have added the following libraries to "Link Binary with Libraries" . I am using xcode 4.0.2 , SDK 4.3 and MAC-OS 10.6 . Libraries are belongs to  SUP 1.5.5. simulator-- iphonesimulator 4.3
    AddressBook.framework
    CoreFoundation.framework
    QuartzCore.framework
    Security.framework
    libicucore.A.dylib
    libstdc++6.dylib
    libz.1.2.3.dylib
    libclientrt.a
    libMO.a
    libSUPObj.a
    After adding all these libraries automatically added path to "Link search path" as follows
    $(inherited)
    "$(DEVELOPER_DIR)/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator4.3.sdk/usr/lib"
    "$(SRCROOT)/../../../libs/Debug-iphonesimulator"
    Header search path i have given as following
    "/Users/RavuriB/includes/**"
    "/Users/RavuriB/TravelRequestMAP/Generated Code/**"
    Still i am getting the same error
    Undefined symbols for architecture i386:
      "_OBJC_CLASS_$_MBOLogger", referenced from:
          objc-class-ref in SUP101CallbackHandler.o
      "_OBJC_METACLASS_$_SUPDefaultCallbackHandler", referenced from:
          OBJCMETACLASS_$_SUP101CallbackHandler in SUP101CallbackHandler.o
      "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SUPDefaultCallbackHandler", referenced from:
          OBJCCLASS_$_SUP101CallbackHandler in SUP101CallbackHandler.o
    ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture i386
    collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    i tried by changing paths differently but no luck.
    is that  SUP 1.5.5 version is suitable for the xcode version and SDK?. Am I forgot to add any frameworks ? or any thing i need to change. I am really stuck at this problem . Can you  Please help me to come out of this problem.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Problem with running a java program from the command line

    I have this code:
    package pkg;
    import jxl.*;
    import java.io.File;
    public class TestClass {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              try{
                   Workbook book = Workbook.getWorkbook(new File("d:/testWorkspace/excFile.xls"));
                   Sheet sheet = book.getSheet(0);
                   String s=sheet.getCell(4, 2).getContents();
                   System.out.println(s);
              }catch (Exception e){System.err.println(e);}
    }I've wrote it in Eclipse, added jxl.jar to the buildpath, and it works fine.
    Then I tried to run it from the command line and I did it like this:
    D:\testWorkspace\testProject\bin> java -cp \jxl.jar pkg.TestClassThe result was:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: pkg/TestClass
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: pkg.TestClass
    ...but the file TestClass.class DOES exist in the folder d:\testWorkspace\testProject\bin\pkg\ and the file jxl.jar IS on the root of drive D (like I already wrote, it worked fine inside the Eclipse).
    So, my question is: How to run this code from the command line?
    I have no idea what went wrong.
    Can someone help me, please?

    The current directory is not implied in the classpath.
    D:\testWorkspace\testProject\bin> java -cp .;d:\ pkg.TestClassor
    D:\testWorkspace\testProject\bin> java -cp .;d:\jxl.jar pkg.TestClassI always forget which is right since I never work with jars...

  • This is in response to: My old computer died. How do I add new songs to my iPhone using a "new" library?

    It won't let me reply to you for some reason.
    1. Go into Itunes. Go to preferences. Go to advanced. Check 'Keep Itunes media folder organized' and 'Copy folders to itunes media folder when adding libraries'. Press Okay.
    2.Hook up Iphone to computer without Itunes running so it runs as a external harddrive. Go into computer and click on your iphone folder so it goes into it and you can see different folders. There is a button on the top left corner of the window that says 'Organize'. Click on it and go down to folder and search options. Click on 'View' tab. Go down and check on where it says 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives'. Click apply, click okay. Now you will see some extra folders in there. One will be you itunes music folder. Go into it and there will be many folders labeled 0 to 40 something. When you got into one of these folders all the files will be labeled with weird 4 letter and number sequences. You need to go into each of these folders and drag and drop all these files into wherever you want them "music folder? It doesn't matter" It will take a little while and after you have done that disconnect you phone and open itunes.
    3. Go to 'Add file to library' then highlight all the hundreds or however many you have files, then click 'okay'. Itunes will now import all the weirdly labeled files and turn them into real songs.
    4. Hook up your phone and sync. You can now delete all those numbered files, to make space if you want to.

    Restore computer from backup, then you shall have same iTunes library ID and be able to sync.
    No backup? This is worse, your options include:
    - If your music was bought from iTunes, this is no worry. iTunes will fetch them from cloud.
    - If you ripped your CDs, you'd need to re-rip them.
    - If you downloaded your music elsewhere, you'd need to repeat the process.
    If you must grab remaining music off your iPhone, there are some paid software tools exist to do this.
    You may have a  look at trying Ubuntu that used to have some tricks to do that (free). Just run a live CD or off USB stick, do not install.
