Layer-7 Class-maps: 'not' match-any

Hallo All,
I'm wondering if the following logic is possible on the ACEs.
First Match is:
class-map type http loadbalance match-any CM7-MatchSrcIP
   10 match source-address 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0
   20 match source-address 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0
class-map type http loadbalance match-any CM7-URLs
   10 match http url /testing.*
class-map type http loadbalance match-all CM7-WWW
   10 match class-map CM7-MatchSrcIP
   20 match class-map CM7-URLs
If the above URL and IP sources are matched, I want to send to a specific SF. (easy enough)
If the URL matches /testing.* but source IP address doesn't match of any of the above subnets, I want to redirect to a 'restricted' page. (ummm)
If the URL is something else (e.g. /temporary.*) with any IP source address, I want it to be load-balanced by a different SF (say like in a class-default)
Thx in adv
David

Hi David,
Sure you can try this on the ACE, you already created most of the configuration so now just need to apply the maps under the first-match policy.
According to your description this is how this policy should look like:
policy-map type loadbalance first-match SLB_LOGIC
  class CM7-WWW
    serverfarm Testing
  class CM7-URLs
    serverfarm Restricted
  class class-default
    serverfarm Any
- ACE checks for testing plus IP address matching.
- If user belongs to any other subnet then SF restricted is used.
- If none of the above statements is matched then defaul class map and SF is used.
Cheers!
Pablo

  • Layer 7 class-map with different match types

    Hello,
    I am fighting with a problem on an ACE-4710 version A3(2.4) configuation. I just want to configure a layer 7 class-map that matches if one of two conditions is true. The problem is that these conditions are not from the same type and the ACE refuses the second match statement. However, in the configuration guide, it is clearly defined that it should be possible :
    Here is what the configuration guides says :
    host1/Admin(config)# class-map type http loadbalance match-any CLASS3
    host1/Admin(config-cmap-http-lb)# 100 match http url .*.gif
    host1/Admin(config-cmap-http-lb)# 200 match http header Host header-value XYZ
    host1/Admin(config-cmap-http-lb)# exit
    If I test exactly the same configuration in a context of my ACE, I receive an error message :
    CH01AC03/P-104-A(config)# class-map type http loadbalance match-any CLASS3
    CH01AC03/P-104-A(config-cmap-http-lb)# 100 match http url .*.gif
    CH01AC03/P-104-A(config-cmap-http-lb)# 200 match http header Host header-value XYZ
    Error: Match-any classmap can not have different type of match
    If I use nested class-maps, I receive the same error message !
    Is it a known problem or is it a solution for it ?
    Thank you for any help
    Yves

    Hello Yves,
    The command error is correct.  I'll take a look at the docs and see about getting them corrected, if necessary.
    Basically, for a match-all, you would have to use different types.  For example, there will only be one Host header, so you would only specify it once using regex or a fixed string.  As you found out, the match-any requires that they all be of the same type.  See my example below:
    class-map type http loadbalance match-all HEADER-AND-URL
      100 match http url /login.*
      200 match http header Host header-value "XYZ"
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any URLS
      100 match http url .*\.gif
      200 match http url .*\.jpg
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any HEADER
      200 match http header Host header-value "CISCO"
    policy-map type loadbalance first-match SLB_LOGIC
      class HEADER-AND-URL
        serverfarm LOGIN-FARM
      class URLS
        serverfarm IMAGES-FARM
      class HEADER
        serverfarm CISCO-FARM
      class class-default
        serverfarm WWW-FARM
    So let's say you want to match requests for URLs ending in .jpg or for requests with Host header XYZ, and if it matches either one, then send to the same serverfarm.
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any URL-JPG
      2 match http url .*\.jpg
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any HOST-XYZ
      2 match http header Host header-value "XYZ"
    policy-map type loadbalance first-match SLB_LOGIC
      class URL-JPG
        serverfarm SERVER-FARM
      class HOST-XYZ
        serverfarm SERVER-FARM
    If you wanted to send these requests to the farm only if they matched BOTH matches, then you could do it as follows:
    class-map type http  loadbalance match-all HEADER-AND-URL
       100 match http url /login.*
       200 match http header Host header-value "XYZ"
    policy-map type  loadbalance first-match SLB_LOGIC
       class HEADER-AND-URL
         serverfarm LOGIN-FARM
    Hope this helps,
    Sean

  • Output map: Document Type does not match any of the given schemas

    On a send port, we have a map that uses a custom xslt. We were hoping to somehow design the map so the output was essentially a generic xs:any schema.  But unless we ad a reference from our map assembly to the assembly that holds the actual schema for
    the message pertaining to the map out put we get an error:
    The Messaging Engine failed while executing the outbound map for the message going to the destination URL "C:\BizTalk\Test\%MessageID%.xml"
    with the Message Type http://test#testmessage. Details:"Document type "outputtest#outputtestmessage" does not match any of the given schemas.
    Is there a way to avoid having to have the reference?

    Hi ,
    In BizTalk messages are distinct from each other based on the message type . In your case http://test#testmessage (Namespace#RootNode)
    Now coming to your case have you verified whether you have a schema type matching the response is deployed with the solution. The easy way is to look into specific BizTalk application schema node .
    If not ,What you can do is to create a new schema for output having "TestMessage" as record and any element inside it. After that apply a mass copy
    funtiod from source t destination(in your case any type schema created).
    Thanks
    Abhishek

  • Cyrillic characters in Layer-7 Class Maps statements ?

    Hi,
    For a specific implementation, I need the ACE to parse URIs with cyrillic characters in a Layer-7 class-map. Does the ACE-4710 support it ?
    If yes, how to enter them in a L7 class-map statement like : match http url /Искусство.*
    Thank you for any hints
    Yves

    Hi Yves,
    I cannot find anything regarding this and i don't see a way to put that in there. I tried pasting it in my ACE and it didn't take it. I would suggest to open a TAC case for official confirmation.

  • Class-map not works, Packets not tagging

    Hey Guys,
    I have define policy maping and dont know why its not tagging the IPs;
    class-map match-all KHAN
     match access-group name ABC
     match input-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
    ip access-list extended ABC
     permit ip host 10.11.201.20 10.11.207.128 0.0.0.127
     permit ip host 10.11.201.19 10.11.207.128 0.0.0.127
    policy-map TAIM
     class voice
        priority percent 50
      set dscp ef
     class KHAN
        priority percent 49
      set dscp af41
    interface Multilink1
    service-policy output TAIM
    When I check the IPs on netflow it is showing half packets are tagged with af41 anf half are default.
    Any idea will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    show policy map interface result
        Class-map: TAIM (match-all)
          0 packets, 0 bytes
          5 minute offered rate 0 bps, drop rate 0 bps
          Match: access-group name ABC
          Match: input-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
          Priority: 49% (3763 kbps), burst bytes 94050, b/w exceed drops: 0
          QoS Set
            dscp af41
              Packets marked 0

    The problem is the way you are matching the packets:
    Here it shows that there are 0 packets marked and 0 packets matched:
     Class-map: TAIM (match-all)
          0 packets, 0 bytes
          5 minute offered rate 0 bps, drop rate 0 bps
          Match: access-group name ABC
          Match: input-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
          Priority: 49% (3763 kbps), burst bytes 94050, b/w exceed drops: 0
          QoS Set
            dscp af41
              Packets marked 0
    When you define this:
    class-map match-all KHAN
     match access-group name ABC
     match input-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
    You are telling the router to match both conditions of ACL ABC and Interface input Gi0/1... most likely what happens here is that the class map does not match both condtions here.
    Depending on what you need to accomplish, you can change it to be ANY:
    class-map match-any KHAN
     match access-group name ABC
     match input-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
    This way it will work if it matches either the first condition ACL ABC or second condition input Gi0/1.
    Or you can just remove the input statement for Gi0/1 and match by the IPs only:
    class-map match-all KHAN
     match access-group name ABC

    I just downloaded a DVD image from my university's MSDN Academic Alliance program, named "Microsoft
    Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 Debug/Checked Build 64-bit (English)", which I wanted to use to install over an existing 32-bit version. I thought the install screen was giving this weird unskippable error described in the OP before I even entered
    a key because the 32-bit key I had used on the HDD was somehow interpreted to be used in an upgrade, but no. Even after I wiped the hard drive, this error persisted.
    Guess I'll go Google some more on how to install my legit copy of Windows, because this self-serving shit sure isn't helping.

    Three words.
    You are doomed.
    Whatever you end up doing will not be serialization. It will be reverse engineering of a old (dead) format that could go all pear shaped on you when you least expect it. One of the worst problems in using a solution where you reverse engineer, try and guess hackery your way through a proprietary semi (or totally) undocumented format is that it is really impossible to test your code with any degree of certainty. Does your code actually work? Or does it only work because you haven't seen some totally unexpected (but legal for the format) format yet?
    Get the producer to produce XML instead of "serialized" data. This is a much better route for you to go down.
    If you decide to keep on your path then grab a DataInputStream and go somewhere else because you'll have to figure out the format of another languages serialized data on a place that isn't this site.

    Yes this is configured schema as envelope schema. This one is deployed in biztalk . I tried whatever suggest below query and return one record. Not sure but looks like error message misguiding here.

    Hi,
    I have created an envelope schema.To precisely process inbound envelope documents,in the xml disassembler component i have used the Documentspec and envelopespec properties.
    in the properties i have the the schema name,Assemblyname
    but i have got the error like The document type does not match any of the given schemas.
    I have verified the schemas have deployed properly.
    can you help me on this?

    Hi Sujith,
    As pointed out by Johns lot's of thing can cause this. You have to analyze lot of things, but this kind of error indicates that the message type that you are debatching is not deployed. For Example :
    If you are debatching on Order than Order schema should be deployed in the admin console.
    One more point that you need not to specifiy Documentspec and envelopespec properties until and unless there are multiple schema's of same message type deployed in different assembly. The dissasembler component will automaticaly disassemble the messages
    just looking after the body XPATH.

  • The version of iOS on does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK

    Getting this error message as of this morning: The version of iOS on “iPad” does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below, or update to the latest version of the iOS SDK. I've downloaded the latest SDK and gone through the usual turn off and turn on again for iPad and computer, removed and reinstalled the iPad from Organizer and have no idea how to make apps build now. I was prompted to update the iphone too but there's no way I'm updating it if this issue can't be resolved.

    Okay these are the steps I took to solve the problem - they may not be the right ones for you but they've solved the problem and saved time hunting for some other solution. Firstly I changed my MAC system to Lion with the £20 download, then I deleted the old Xcode and installed the new version that is app based and doesn't support Snow Leopard, then all was well. I can now update my xcode via the app which is quicker and more logical and can update my iPhone rather than chug along avoiding updates as I need to update my existing apps on the app store and upload a new one.

    Hi,
    Connect to target through rman
    crosscheck archivelog all;
    Then re run the backup. This will work if those two locations provided are archive log destinations.
    In case the issue still persists then

    But all the classes have a default constructor. Then why the math class is not having any constructor. Is math class having some other constructor or is the default constructor concept applicable only for user defined classes.

    Try booting to the Recovery drive, running Disk Utility and Repair disk and Repair Permissions.
    1. Reboot and immediately hold down command and R (two keys).
    2. When you see the screen shown on this page, select Disk Utility and continue.
    3. When DU is running, select the hard drove on the left, First Aid and Repair Disk.
    4. After Repair Disk, click Repair Permissions.
    Quit DU and restart.

  • Windows 8 error "product key does not match any of the Windows images available for installation"

    Hi Experts
    My HP Pavilion laptop came with window 8. I made the USB recovery for windows 8 using hp recovery manager. My windows was corrupted, while I was trying to install windows 7 in dual boot.
    I used above USB recovery to restore factory default. But every time it is giving me error "HP Recovery Manager Failed error code = 0xefffff08"
    Then I downloaded the OEM ISO mage for windows 8 and tried to do the clean install but now installation process is giving me error "The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available for installation. Enter a different product key"
    Please help me. To whom I have to contact?

    Hi ghost-rider,
    Thank you for your query, I will do my best to assist you.
    I understand you tried to do a recovery and you received this error  "oxefffff08".
    First I would suggest you run a hardware diagnostics. Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8)
    If no hardware failures are located, you have ruled that possibility out.
    Here is a link to Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems (Windows 8) that may help.
    If you are still having an issue doing a recovery, I suggest contacting HP support and explain the issue you are having with doing a recovery. They may have another option available for you.

    The clean install from an OEM image is looking for the product code as it does not match the one that came with the computer, You would need a new code.
    I hope this has helped.
