Layout cell resize

i'm trying to have control over the layout cell but it seems
like it is snapping to some grid although i have disabled this. i
need to create an underline using a colored cell.

change the iview/cell iview  isolation method property to    'embeded'
this will display the iview in full page.

    You don't. But I don't recall suggesting that you not use
    HTML. I just
    suggested that you use best-practice HTML, no? Or maybe you
    meant to ask
    how you would go about building your site without learning

  • Layout cell and image repeat question

    I want to put a background image into a layout cell. The
    image isnt as wide as the cell - when i set the target the image
    repeats itself from left to right. How can I stop this? I want the

    get into

    Hi,
    Try the method setHeightPercentage in both GridLayout and GridLayoutCell classes.
    GridLayout result = new GridLayout();
    result.setHeightPercentage(100);

    If you mean that you're using "Layout View", you may not get
    many replies
    here, because it's pretty much universally considered a poor
    feature of
    Dreamweaver, and nobody really wants to support it.
    If that's the case, it would really be best if you
    re-designed your page
    without using Layout View or Layout Cells. If you're somewhat
    new at this,
    your best bet would probably be building the page with simple
    tables in
    Dreamweaver's regular Design View.

  • Moving column separator causes cell resize

    Hello, y'all,
    I've run into a strange issue, in which the cells of a table control will resize when I move a column separator.  I can't always reproduce it and I have no idea what's triggering it.  Is this a known issue?

    Hello, Mr. Altenbach!  Right, I should've been clearer.  The problem is that the cells to the *right* spontaneously resize themselves during a Mouse Move event--and to the same width, as far as I can tell.  I don't know what triggers it.  I'm running LabVIEW 8.5.

  • Multiple components in a gridbag layout cell

    Is it possible to have two components in one cell of a grid bag layout? Say, a textfield box and some text to its immediate right? If so, can someone post an example? Thanksmuch.

    Put the textfield and a label with the text in a panel. Then add that panel to your gridbag cell.

  • Layout and resize

    Although I tried many things, I can't get out of this :
    I have a java app. with a jSplitPane. On the right side, I have a JPanel hosting another jPanel with an image background.
    What I'd like is that when moving the divider, my inner Panel (the one with the image) doesn't resize. It should be just displayed at the center of the other one.
    Now, I used BorderLayout for the 'container' and added the second one like this :
                panel1.add(panel2, java.awt.BorderLayout.CENTER);But when I move the divider, the iner panel extends to the borders (the image is stretched).
    I tried FlowLayout, but then nothing at all is displayed (??)
    Any idea ?
    O, BTW, the inner panel uses a grid bag Layout. Could it have an influence on its container ?

    Too many panels you are having. Try none:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class SplitExample {
         public static void main(String[] args) throws MalformedURLException {
              JLabel left = new JLabel("LEFT");
              URL url = new URL("http://weblogs.java.net/jag/bio/JagHeadshot-small.jpg");
              JLabel right = new JLabel(new ImageIcon(url));
              JSplitPane sp = new JSplitPane(JSplitPane.HORIZONTAL_SPLIT, left, right);
              JFrame f = new JFrame("SplitExample");
              f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              f.getContentPane().add(sp);
              f.pack();
              f.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
              f.setVisible(true);

  • Custom message(low stock) on alv layout cell(plng folder)

    hi friends,
    in plng folder(alv layout), can system displays message dynamically on a particular cell(row & col combination). eg: "low stock" via fox code. Simply i 'm deriving one cell value based on fox code (formula).  If stock > 0, show stock value, else in that cell i want "low stock".
    In excel , this facility is availble using "IF', formula on particular cell.
    thanks

    Hi Raju,
    what you could do is:
    - define a new calculated keyfigure which takes the stock value if it is > 0 and the value 0 in all other cases.
    - define your query setting View->Properties->Value Display->Zero value display->show zero values to "low stock".
    This has a similar effect. All value which are 0 in the query are displayed as text "low stock". Another option to highlight "low stock" material would be using exceptions.
    Maybe this fulfills your requierement. Binding messages raised in planning function to certain cells in excel is not possible.

  • Newbie question – frame and cells resizing issues

    I am a newbie to ‘efficient web designing’. I
    have done previously simpler works.
    This is what I am trying to do this time. I am creating a
    modular web site where I will be using only one design layout(800 x
    600) and repeating that 3-4 times along the length of a single page
    and also in all the other pages on the website ( using same layout
    but different contents). The way I started is
    1) Created a design layout in Photoshop
    2) Created slices
    3) Saved all sliced images in image folder
    4) Created one large table 800x600 (size of a single layout
    module) in dreamweaver
    5) Created nested tables inside the main table, (based upon
    different cell divisions)
    6) Created cells in the tables corresponding to slice layout
    in the photoshop
    7) Inserted the sliced images in the corresponding cells to
    recreate my photosop layout in dreamweaver.
    8) The issue that I am having is that the cells are not
    getting to be the size of the images.
    SO HOW DO I MAKE MY CELLS FIT MY IMAGES. I tried putting the
    size of my sliced images in the property box of the cells but the
    cells just won’t become of that size. What is stopping them?
    What could I be doing wrong? Is my working method appropriate for
    what I want to achieve?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Not really sure what you are trying to achieve... but
    creating an 800x600
    web page with Photoshop sliced images is not "efficient we
    designing"
    Everyone sets the size of their web browsers to a differant
    size depending
    on taste, visual accuity and the task at hand. Table cells
    are simply
    elastic containers. Think of them like a baloon. Small when
    you take it
    out of the bag but potentially really big with enough hot
    air.
    A cell will expand to fit whatever you put into it, but it
    starts out small.
    If you put a 200x200 slice of image as a background, you need
    to somehow set
    the size of the cell to 200x200, but if you put too much text
    in the cell,
    it will grow larger than 200x200 and leave your background
    either stranded
    with gaps around it or tiled and repeating itself.
    If you put the slices directly into the cells, make sure you
    have all
    padding, cell spacing, and margins set to 0. Now, you won't
    be able you put
    text over the image but you could use hot spots or just
    direct links from
    the image.
    Photoshop is an image editing program originally created for
    print
    applications. What you need to
    consider is creating you web site in a flexible format and
    augmenting your
    design with images editied in Photoshop.
    Best idea is get some books on html and css and learn what
    you can about web
    design, then add your graphics.

  • Inner Frames, GridBag Layout, and resizing

    Hey,
    I'm developing a online gaming lobby in Java, and at the top of my lobby I have a list of players, with red or green lights indicating whether or not that player is ready to play. Once all are ready, the host can start a countdown that takes the players into the game.
    For the ready/not ready lights, I used JRadioButtons because they provide a good model for what I wanted (a sort of on/off deal). What I did was set them to be enabled when that slot is empty, but have a grey "disabled/slot empty" icon for both the selected and not selected states. Then, when a player joins, I disable the Radio Button and have the "player ready" and "player not ready" pictures set for the disabled selected and disabled-not-selected properties of the radio button.
    To recap, when the slot is empty, the radio button is enabled, but looks disabled and has the same pictures for both selected and not selected. When the slot is filled the radio button is disabled but has enabled-looking pictures for 'ready' and 'not ready' states, selected and not selected respectively.
    It will make more sense with a picture:
    http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/4620/lobbyiz7.png
    I did it this way, with sort of logically backwards JRadioButtons, because I didn't want the users of the lobby to be able to click the radio buttons and change their state, thus seemingly (and logically, client-side) changing the ready status of other players.
    Anyway, I have two questions. As you can see in the screen shot, all the player names and their associated "lights" are clustered to the center. Originally, the lights and text were all flush with the edge of the separators above and below them. I am using a grid bag layout with inner panels, which all also use grid bag layouts. In the player list panel (the top one that we've been discussing), when players join, the text next to the JRadioButtons goes from "Waiting for player to join" to "Freddie" or something like that. Once you get enough players to join, the player list contracts into the center because the text in the buttons becomes smaller. Is there a way to make the radio buttons stay where they are, no matter the length of the text, with a grid bag layout?
    Also, you can see from the screenshot that the disabled radio buttons (the slots that are filled with players) have the proper pictures next to them, but they still used the disabled font, which is kind of greyed out. Is there a way to make it so that the disabled font is not grey?

    j.law wrote:
    That's the thing, I am using a grid bag layout for everything, including the inner panels and the outer, main frame. The problem is that the inner panels resize and crunch down.Then as recommended above, simply don't do that. Study the layout tutorials and code with them. It's that simple.
    Also, your "radiobutton" are not behaving as radiobuttons as they are not clickable, ... so don't use radiobuttons. Use a JLabel perhaps and swap the icons as necessary.

  • Layout cell width

    How can I change the width of a layer cell? When I change the
    width value I get an error message saying the cell will be smaller
    than the minimum width allowed. I'm guessing I have to go back and
    reset some page properties but have't figured out how.

    The correct way would be to use css to allocate a width.
    However, let the
    width be determined by whatever is inside it. If you set the
    width to
    100px, but place an image inside the cell that is 120px, then
    the cell will
    stretch to fit that image, it will not honour the 100px
    width. This would
    also apply whether you specified a width via a stylesheet.

  • Tree view Layout set resizing when accessed by URL

    Hi,
    We have a problem when we try to display a KM folder through the the ConsumerTreeList Layoutset. The height of the tree view is set based on the content in the right hand side, and ignores the left hand side of the tree. So for example if we have 5 items in the tree on the left hand side, and only 1 in the right hand side then the height of the tree view is really small (approx 1-2cm) and we have a scroll bar on the left hand side.
    This does not happen through a km navigation iview and never used to happen prior to us installing SP18.
    The URL we are using is below. Has anyone experienced this or know of a work around when using a URL? The same sizing issue occurs when previewing the layoutset through the User Interface --> Settings menu where you create layoutsets.
    /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.navigation/AMPS/Documents/Corporate?ConfigFileName=Navigation.xml&StartPage=NavigationPage&Validate=false&rndLayoutSet=ConsumerTreeList&layoutSetMode=exclusive

  • Table Cells in Layout Mode vs WYSIWYG

    I am new to Dreamweaver and am using v8.0. When designing a
    page using Tables and Cells in Layout Mode the layout looks fine;
    the Cells are nice and tight. However - and this regardless of
    which Browser I use to check the page - the spacing between those
    same Cells is wholly unacceptable. As mentioned, in Layout Mode
    everything is tight; when viewing it in a browser there may be up
    to 2" of space between the Cells.
    What have I over looked? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Table width = 1327? Don't ever make your width more than
    about 770. As for
    the spacing .. I have never seen so many empty table cells in
    my life. :)
    As the others have said, you will do far better by learning a
    little html
    and css .. "adhering to conventions" will never happen with
    Layout Mode.
    It's there so people can draw tables .. but if I were DW
    Engineering, I
    would remove it .. I think it causes more problems than it's
    worth. :)
