What will be the problem?
Can U help me.  IS it any hardware failure.

If you've replaced the LCD then it's probably the LCD power inverter board that is the problem.

  • IPHONE 6,MM,16GB,GOLD LCD back light not working

I am facing an issue in iphone 6 16GB gold LCD backlight not working , i bought from USA now i am in UAE how can i get is service it

A new phone has a warranty.  So take it to an Apple store.  If they can't fix it, they will replace the phone.  Or do you mean: it stopped working after 9 days, but then you waited until the warranty ran out and then ask us?

  • Back light remains on when display turns off when on battery

    Hi,
Sorry for the long subject line, but it basically sums up the issue.
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit on a T61 with nVidia Quadro NVS 140M discrete graphics. I installed the latest Windows 7 drivers from Lenovo, including the driver for the video card. This was a completely fresh install of Windows 7.
Everything seems to be running great, with the exception of the LCD back light when I'm on battery. I have the power settings set to "turn off display" after five minutes. When I idle for five minutes the display indeed goes "black", but I can still see it "lit".
With the back light still active I'm having to close my lid to ensure my battery lasts a decent amount of time.
Has anyone else experienced this on Windows 7 and better yet know how to fix this?
    Thanks in advance.

Could be any number of things.  Something failed on the monitor (power supply perphas).  Maybe the cable fatigued and a wire broke inside.  Maybe your video card has failed.
In other words, too many variables.  You need to eliminate them as best yo can.  Try the monitor on a different computer.  Try a different cable and/or check cable connections.   Try another monitor on your computer.
Try a smc reset but it probably won't change anything.

  • Imac blank screen. back light on. imac shows on TV. bad LCD?

hello, I have imac 21.5 late 09 modle A1311. this piece of garbage was working til one day started up with blank screen. we did nothing to it no changing of any parts.nothing connected to this imac. I called apple and as always they were no help at all. I took it to iphone911 they said it could be LCD or LCD connector. I don't think they know what they are doing much like Apple. I hooked up the imac to the TV with HDMI and everything showed up and was able to use it with the TV full accsess. this imac powers up and the back light (dark blue) comes on ummm not the blue u see when mac starts bthis is backlight!! after started but no video at all. could the LCD be bad even tho backlight comes on? what could it be if it's not the LCD? I'm going to buy LCD if it's but I wan't to make sure this is the fix. I put it on CL but very low offers so I want to sell it and get windows and NEVER EVER again buy anything apple makes total garbage I'm so mad spending $1500+ with no support, now thinking I could bought 3 nice laptops with winds but live and learn.

oh thank god I sold this piece of crap called imac and bought new HP win 8. nothing ever will enter my house that apple makes this is for sure.and nothing good comes out of an idiot who makes a computer in the garage after fail in fixing cars!!

  • Back light and firmware 1.2

When I connect my iPod to my PC, the backlight stays on (a bit dimmed, but still on).
Not a big problem until I noticed that my iPod got rather warm.
I did not have that problem with the previous firmware releases. The screen used to be dark (the lcd active, but no back light)
It started today when I upgraded iTunes and the firmware.

There is already a thread on this topic. But this appears to be a new feature with this new firmware. I actually like it. I found mine got a little warm, but nothing that concerns me. Now I can see the spinning wheel over in the top left corner so I know when my iPod is working in the backgrounds via iTunes. Never could tell this before.

  • Macbook display's back light suddenly turn off?

I using window7 via boot camp (latest) but when I'm using it for a while (an hour) suddenly the display back light is turnoff (like you set brightness to zero). I can see that display is still working fined but the light just down. Pleas help it happen to me several times. My mac is 2008 white model btw.

    Hey!
I've recently had a similar problem.
I took it into an Apple Supported Computer Shop near me and they basically said that there was something wrong with the backlight and it turned out that my LCD Panel needed replacing (which has worked out to be quite expensive!)
I would take yours into an Apple store as soon as possible, as my screen got worse the longer I left it.
Hope you can get yours sorted

  • Display's back lighting no longer works.

Have a MacBook air that is completely functional except for the fact that the display's back lighting is dead. Can see the desktop fine if you point a nice flashlight at the screen.
Is there a part I can order and replace to get a functional back light on my display again? Or am I stuck having to pay $700+ on an entire new display assembly? Perhaps just the LCD component of the assembly would be required or even better a simple back light panel/cable?

Not knowing which model MBA you have can mean the difference between an answer and none.
For the current models, it is probably more practical to replace the display panel as a whole than to disassemble it for just the backlighting components, if even doable. A replacement panel is around $500, from the likes of ifixit, plus the labor to install it for a current model MBA.
But if it is just a cable, as you speculate, only disassaembly is going to determine the feasability of a simpler repair.

  • Back light stop working

i have a mac book pro serial W872XXXXX91 (Edited by: Host)
i was playing half life 2 and the screen pixels started to break up and the computer crashed. it did that every time i started my mac. i did a hardware test and it said 5.5volts screen error(not the correct words).
i opened the computer and the screen and now the back light stop working, so i am using a lcd monitor to use my computer. what must i do?

Is it still under warranty? Or do you have AppleCare?
    Here are Apple contact numbers.
Your MacBook has hardware issues that we are beyond what we can help you with.I don't know if you have Apple stores in your country. If so they probably can repair it. I know under AppleCare, you can ship it in to get repaired. I would assume that would hold true to customer paid repairs also.

  • T40 back light issue

I have two(2) IBM Thinkpad T40's and they both have the same issue. When I first boot up, the display screen (back light) comes on but after a few seconds, they turn off. I would like to know what is causing this and if it reasonable to fix. The laptops work fine when I hook an external monitor on them but I would really like for them to function the way they are supposed to....Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

if your backlight is pinkish then it is a failing CCFL backlight, which you can either replace the CCFL tube (around 20 dollars from ebay) or replace the whole LCD screen or the top case (around 150 dollars).
The last option is the easiest as it means you don't have disassemble the case, which is a somewhat delicate job if you haven't done before, also the top case assembly would also include a new inverter.

  • My ipad has been turning off every now and again for some time now but last night it turned off and when i try to turn it back on its just a blank screen with the back lighting. please help me

Hi there, ok so my ipad has been either turning off or just locking itself for sometime now but last night it turned itself off and when i tried to turn it back on it just came up with a blank screen with the back light. I hav tried resetting it but as i am not very savvy with all this stuff i thought i would get some advise before doing anything else. it anyone can help me that would be fantasic
    thank you

If a reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
    1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
    2. Connect USB cable to computer
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished for this price:

  • Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2009: back light problem

    Hey guys,
I was hoping you could offer me some advice.
My 13" Macbook Pro from mid 2009 has been having some backlight issues. Sometimes, after opening the screen, the backlight won't turn on. If I shine through the Apple logo on the back with a torch, you can see the log-in screen, so I'm pretty sure the problem lies with the back light.
I have tried ressetting the SMC and PRAM, yet that hasn't helped. The only way to get the backlight to turn back on is to remove the cover, unplug the battery, hold the power button for 5 seconds, plug back in the battery, put the cover back, and then turn it on.
So far I had to do this every 2 months or so, yet now the screen seems to die more and more often. As you can imagine, it's quite a pain having to go through this process over and over.
Again, any advice to fix this issue would be fantastic.
    Thanks!

I appreciate the response, but my issue does not appear in the linked article as a reason to reset the SMC. Resetting the SMC seems like something too radical to fix something that should "just work". My MBP generally takes too long to wake up or doesn't wake up at all. If it doesn't wake up, I hold the power button and restart. Very annoying, since my wife can resume work on her PC faster coming out of Windows 7 hibernation mode.
    Thanks, Apple!

  • My iPad Mini display is dim so i can barely see anything and I maxed up the back lighting is it broken already??

Bought an iPad mini not long ago and the display suddenly went "black", there is absolutely no brightness in the display rendering it useless. I can make out the icons when i sit down in the dark and i can see the back lighting is set to max. I live in denmark and we have no apple store, its still in the warranty period, but where do i take it for repair? Can it be a software bug? I want to fix the problem fast. When i sit in absolute darkness with the wall plug connected I can see one backlight lighting up from the buttom right corner where the speaker is.

Assuming that you have a credit card in the UK, with a valid billing address for that credit card that matches the credit card statement ....
Launch the app store app. Go to the Featured Tab. Swipe to the bottom of the screen. Your ID is accessible in the lower left corner. Tap on the ID. Then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Country/Region and change the store to the UK in there.
