LCDS is non-compatible with recent MS updates

I have been using the LCDS app for a couple of years without any problems. Recent MS updates seem to have had a negative impact on using this application. The application launches but does not function. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the application. It
will not access course files and new courses cannot be created.
If this application is no longer supported by MS, we will be forced to search for another course authoring tool to create SCORM objects for our learning management system.
Please assist. Thank you.

The only thing about Avast that might not be compatible is their Web Rep extension for Firefox. If that is the case, it is up to Avast to keep their Firefox add-on up-to-date as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox. Did you check with Avast to see if an update is available? If there is, you probably need to have Firefox 5.0 installed to be able to install that update.

I'm from germany so no 'best buy' but I think I will lock around sleeve/bag for a different product with same measures. Any tip?
The clear plastic case is not what I want. I would like to use the player without such protections. I just want a sleeve to protect the player while its in my jacket/pants.
Btw, i have bought this version: Creative Zen (maybe european version?). I also doesn't seem to have your mentioned sleeve. I also couldn't find it on the website.

HT1338 With recent iphoto update, i can't seem to open any photos. They appear but when i dble click to select a photo to work with, no luck. Any help?

Thanks for your reply. I did this, but I still can't open any photos when clicked on; "Faces" don't appear over names; when I try to upload a photo while in facebook...I can't. I think this is when i first discovered the problem. Don't know what else to do except take in laptop.

Not compatible with speaker since update to 3.1 (and other issues)

I have an Altec-Lansing T612 speaker that I specifically bought because it was advertised as "works with iPhone". No problems until I recently updated the phone's OS. Now when I put the iPhone in the speaker dock, I get the message "this device is not compatible with iPhone. Do you want to turn on Airplane Mode, etc. etc.". Worst of all, the phone no longer charges while in the dock.
Also since the update, my battery drains in a few (3 or 4) hours if bluetooth is on, and apps open up to the initial screen and then close immediately: it takes several tries before I can use them.
I have no idea how to reverse the OS update or if that's even possible (going to search around on this site for info, but in the meantime if someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!). Mainly posting in the hope that someone from Apple will see this and add to their list of 3.1 issues to be dealt with!

I updated my windows 7 and when I did I received a message that firefox is not compatible with windows 7 updates. What happened?

I got a message to update windows. I updated. My computer said firefox was not compatible with update. I then tried to purchase Avast and it basically crashed my computer. I had help in restoring and when system was checked it showed two different firefox downloads that had not succeeded because they were incompatible with my system. I don't know enough about computers to understand what happened. I have a Dell Studio xps with Windows 7. Thank you.

Problems with recent system update

All my problems started with the most recent software update. I did the most recent set of updates which required a restart. After restart, I noticed that it was taking a REALLY long time to load up, so I left it over night and came back in the morning. I thought "hmmm 10 hours, maybe it'll take 16", so I went to work. Came home, still hanging at the gray Apple startup screen. Finally, I called Apple and they told me to force shut down, unplug for 15 seconds and retry. Followed these instructions, still got the little logo. Finally the gentleman tells me to force shutdown, and reset the pram (CommandOption+PR). This REALLY screwed things up as now I am stuck at a blank screen with NO Apple logo. I have tried every keyboard shortcut imaginable, to no avail. Anybody else had this problem? "Guess you have to take it to an Apple genius" is the final response of my phone call. Well, 4 hours to the nearest Apple store isn't something I want to do. Also, considering all was well before the System Update, paying for shipping/repair is also not something that I want to swallow. Any suggestions would be great.

OK you did a SMC reset and then seperatly did a PRAM reset. Now try doing them in this sequence and your system should start OK.
1. Turn off your iMac and unplug everything from it for 30 seconds.
2. Plug in the power cord, keyboard and mouse only.
3. Press the power button and immediately hold down the Option, Command, P & R keys until you hear the second gong then release the keys. Your machine will start up normally, then check for the issues you are having.

DB Version non compatible with BI Beans

and I'm traying to work with:

but the BI Beans give an error BIB-16633, did this version compatible with each other? and with database? or have I to download a patch? and for upgrade what?

You must apply the 10.1.0.4 database patch. This will upgrade your OLAP schema to the latest version and make the schema compliant with BI Beans. You can download the database from Metalink.

Trouble with recent Java Update

I have been unable to run the latest Java update: Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2.
A restart is required for this update, which happens...and then it times out in the "configuring" portion of the upgrade. Nothing happens. I have to force quit.
Processor: 1.67 GHz PowerPC G4
Memory 1GB DDR SDRAM
Mac OS X, Ver 10.5.5

I too am having problems...
1GHz Power PC G4 running 10.5.5.....loaded the new Java update which is meant for 10.5 BUT NOT for a ppc. Now I can open any java window, nor can i go back and load what i have overwritten with the new update.
Here is the message I get now
JAVA IS UNAVAILABLE...... The page “anything java" attempted to load Java content, but Java is unavailable or not installed.
My situation now is that 10.4 java wont load because I'm running 10.5, and 64 bit wont load because my eMac is 32 bit.
Can anyone help me just get back to running old version of java without having to load OS 10.4 back on my machine with the old java..... then upgrading again to OS 10.5

Frustrated with recent two updates

Since the two most recent updates my iPad freezes. I tap on the screen and nothing happens. I get out of the screen then go back, I've even shut off and restarted my iPad but it doesn't help. This is the worst update/s ever! I get so frustrated I wind up putting up my iPad and picking up my Windows computer. I hope there will be a fix to the update or allow us to go back to the 7 ios. If it's not broke don't fix it. Sometimes changing things is not best. I realize there has to be updates but why always change Apps; for instance the iBooks App... I loved the way it used to be before a few updates ago...can't remember which one at this point. Nonetheless, there was nothing wrong with it, now it's not even user friendly, have to learn how things work again. Mind you.. not that's it difficult what I'm trying to say is it had a nice lay out, it looked like a true book shelf and now we're stuck with the current layout. Not liking it. Apple, please fix the issue. I realize iBooks will not go back to how it used to be but it would be nice if it did. Thanks!

As well as doing a soft-reset, have you tried :
- closing apps via the iPad's taskbar
- backing up (and copying any purchases over to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases) and restoring
- adjusting settings e.g. turning 'reduce motion' on (Settings > General > Accessibility), turning off 'background app refresh (Settings > General), turn off multitasking gestures (Settings > General)
- transferring purchases and copying anything else (documents, photos etc) off, resetting back to factory defaults and resyncing content.

Problems with recent software update

Hey all,
recently came to check on my intel iMac (leopard) if there were any software updates. Turns out that there was an update for quicktime and a security update.
Choosing to install said that I had to restart my computer. Restarting the computer lead to a blue screen appearing with the "moving circle" in the lower part of the screen.
This stayed for around 25 mins before the screen turned black.
After around 10 mins, I chose to force restart the computer. It restarted as normal and it seems that the updates have installed (they are no longer in the software update list).
I'm still a little concerned though, as I havent seen this before. Any one else had any problems running updates under leopard??

Thank you for your reply. I followed your suggestion and restored my iPod to its factory settings. I then restored it from a backup file. All the problems have been resolved. Quite incredible that I had to go through that process to fix it. I hope Apple will find a solution to the iTunes problem soon.

Non compatible with Outlook 2010??

Just bought the Office 2010 suite & find that BB Desktop Manager is not compatible for synching with Outlook 2010 yet???? Will this be addressed soon?

HT4484 My email was phished, so I deleted it and changed it completely. Now all the apps that I downloaded with the old email cannot update because I cannot log into that email. Mountain Lion is compatible with the new updated iPhoto. what can I do?

My email address was phished and I had to delete it completely. That was the one I used to download all my original apps on my computer. I have since changed to a new address, but since my apps were under the old one, I cannot update them without logging into the old address. It no longer exists....so how do I fix this?
Some of the apps I don't really care about updating but, I did download the new Mountain Lion and it wants to update my iphots and I can't do it.

When you say you deleted your email and changed it completely, those are actually two different things, and it sounds like you are talking about your Apple ID, not just your email, (because you speak of making purchases with it).
If you changed your Apple ID (preferred, How to change the name you use for your Apple ID), then you would not have another Apple ID and all of your purchases would still be with your only Apple ID, it would just be renamed to your new email address.
If you instead created a new Apple ID (with a different email address) then of course you have two different Apple IDs and the old one still exists and is probably active. Just because you may not use an email address anymore, that doesn't mean an Apple ID of the same name is inactive, Apple IDs aren't deleted. If you start purchasing Apps with your new Apple ID, it can really cause confusion because, as you see, you need to be logged into the Apple ID that purchased an App to update it. It would be best to stick with one Apple ID for purchases, probably the one you have spent the most money with. Remember, unless it's an @mac or @me Apple ID you can rename them rather than creating yet another Apple ID. Since Apple IDs can't be merged or deleted, creating more can be a messy.
If you don't remember what the password is for a particular Apple ID, you can visit iforgot.apple.com where you can reset it, the AppleConnect password. If the Apple ID is no longer a valid email address, you can use the security question method to reset the password instead.
Unless you have made a lot of purchases with your new Apple ID, I'd recommend moving back into your old one, especially if that has the most or the most expensive apps with it. If your new Apple ID is the "name/email" you want to use, you could rename the new one to a secondary email, then rename your old Apple ID to your preferred name/email. Basically, rename the new one to something else which frees up that name (email) to rename your old Apple ID. Thus your old Apple ID has the new name. See My Apple ID. The "Manage your account" link is where you can rename the ID itself.
Sorry about getting long winded here, but it's important to keep as few Apple IDs as possible, at least when it comes to purchases. If an Apple ID is undesired, rename it rather than creating a new one. It will be much simpler in the long run.

How is "Fast Browser Search" engine PERMANENTLY REMOVED (and I mean wiped), from the search engines that were included by default with recent Mozilla update?

Fast Browser Search (FBS) emgine is now being included in all the Mozilla Updates.
This concerns me because the company that provides it is a known malware distributor.
When Mozilla toolbar "Manage Search Engines" option is selected, I can choose to remove FBS, move FBS to the bottom of the list, move Yahoo to top as preferred, and FBS always comes back when Mozilla is closed & restarted.
If this browser search is used, malware is automatically downloaded onto my computer. My ISP has verified this as fact.
MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (mbam) catches malware stemming from "Fast Browser Search" every time I scan.
I want this removed forever. I love using Mozilla, but if this doesn't go, Mozilla will have to go. I'll have to return to IE (which I don't want to do).
I cannot believe that Firefox Mozilla would knowingly include "Fast Browser Search" in their list of browsers installed by default. And setting the configuration for it constantly trump Google or Yahoo, when I move them to preferred, is ridiculous.
If I go the the Fast Browser Search website and follow the uninstall directions, more malware is slapped on my system. I read your recommendation to use that very process in your forum.

Ahh, the toolbar is still on system. I thought ComboFix got it. I think I'll uninstall Mozilla prior to initiating the fix procedures you linked. The extracare service tech support I'm paying Frontier (ISP) isn't worth a lick. After I thought I had removed, I called them and had my system scoured by them. May need to cancel that $14.90/month service...seems to have been a waste.

Why is iPhone non-compatible with other USB peripherals?

So last night what I presumed was a simple update to 6.1.3 turned into 1.5 torturous hours. The reason being that I left my webcam plugging into my PC while doing the update on iTunes. Later on, the phone wouldn't even restore, but once I unplugged the webcam, it went fine.
Can anyone tell me why iPhone/iTunes has such a problem with copying with other USB peripherals being plugged in? No other USB item I have shows this level of imcompatibility.
