LDAP Client - write it new or use an existing one ?

Hi,
i am starting to work on a project where i should develop
a LDAP client who is connected to an existing LDAP server.
On this server is the whole employees directory of my company.
The task is that the client recieves a query like
find person xy and return name and telephone number if found.
My question is:
Can i use a client that is already available (free download)
and somehow hand over the search request, or is it better
if i just write a client, i guess, just for searching it wont be
a big programm... but I am not sure what classes i should use for that.
Is there any source code for a client like this already available or
could someone just post it here ?

The main point is that Aperture is used to make digital negatives as good as they can be (for the uses you define), but it does not ADD date to your digital negatives, nor does it produce NEW combination files. For those tasks you need a Graphics program.

Setting up a new library from an existing one

Due to lack of Genius mixes I have decided to set up a new library from my existing one but what I wandered was is there anyway of retaining my ratings/play counts etc by copying the iTunes database file from my original library folder.
I have over 100gb of content in my library and don't really wish to have to go through the process of rating everything again as my 'main' library is over three years of tweaking,adding & modifying etc.
Upon setting up this new library (which is taking ages to load)I have the "Turn on Genius" option down the right hand side which I cannot get in my main library.
I have just purchased a 5th generation Nano but cannot access Genius on it as it says my iTunes library doesn't have Genius enabled but it is I just can't get any Genius mixes.

Try this.
Quit iTunes.
Drag the *iTunes library.itl* file and *iTunes library.xml* to the desktop. Do NOT delete either of them.
Launch iTunes.
Do NOT add anything.
Go to File -> Library -> Import playlist and select the iTunes library.xml file on the desktop.
See if the ratings and the Genius mixes appear.
If so, you are good to go and can delete the *iTunes library.itl* file and *iTunes library.xml* on the desktop.
If not, don't delete anything and post back.

I can neither save new bookmarks nor delete existing ones.

My bookmark system worked until a few days ago, and now will not let me save new pages or delete existing ones. Tried the two methods described on main site, neither worked.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

HT1175 Time Machine wants to start with a new, full backup instead of using the existing one

Hi, my Time Machine wants to start a new, full backup, instead of continuing with the existing one on the time Capsule.
Looking a the Troubleshooting guide, I've found the following piece of info, which is, as 99% of the times with the troubleshooting guides, totally useless to resolve my problem...
Message: Time Machine starts a new, full backup instead of a smaller incremental backup
There are three reasons why this may occur:
You performed a full restore.
Your Computer Name (in Sharing preferences) was changed--when this happens, Time Machine will perform a full backup on its next scheduled backup time.
If you have had a hardware repair recently, contact the Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store that performed your repair. In the meantime, you can still browse and recover previous backups by right-clicking or Control-clicking the Time Machine Dock icon, and choosing "Browse Other Time Machine disks" from the contextual menu.
It should be noted (hence the uselessness of the guide) that:
-I haven't performed ANY full restore
- I havent changed my computer name
- My computer has not had ANY repair, much less a hardware repair. Neither recently, nor in the 9 months I've owned it.
Which puts me back to square one, with the marginal improvement that now I have a way of browsing my old backups.
In the event I decide to start all over again, will there be a way for me to "sew" the two backup files?
Or will I always have to go the silly way around?
Anybody has any idea?

no, that doesn't have anything to do with my problem.
Just look at the image below.
Time Machine thinks that the disk I've always used to do my backups has none of them.
If I open the disk with Finder, obviously they are where they should be.
It is even possible to navigate them as per the instruction reported above, but even following Pondini's advice #s B5 and B6 (which are more applicable to my problem) didn't solve the problem.
Actually, not being a coder, I'm always scared of doing more damage than good when I have a Terminal window open.
My question is: how is it possible that Apple hasn't thought of some kind of user command to tell the idiotic Time Machine software that a hard disk backup is a hard disk backup, no matter what?
Estremely frustrating and annoying: I'm wasting HOURS in trying to find a solution to a problem that should not have arisen in the first place...

Company XYZ does not use absorption cost.
In Company Code 1000, Costing variant XY does not do any calculation because zero values are entered in acitivity type,costing sheet.
For new company code 2000 &3000, Users want to enter values at activity,costing sheet etc.
I like to know the following,
Should we use the existing costing variant XY OR Create a different cost variant for Company code 2000&3000.

entering act prices is part of master data which is independant of Costing var

How to create a new full backup alongside existing one?

I have recently reinstalled my MBP from scratch and installed some apps from scratch as well. I still have my old TM backup in a sparsebundle on my NAS (a ReadyNAS NV+).
I now would like to create a complete new full backup alongside my existing one. Or put differently, a new folder/backup inside the Backups.backupdb inside the mounted sparsebundle. Currently I see a folder called "XYZs MacBook Pro". I'd like that to be renamed to something like "XYZs Old MacBook Pro" and create a new full backup under "XYZs MacBook Pro".
I understand you end up having multiple folders inside Backups.backupdb if you have many Macs (with different MAC addresses). I only have one Mac, but want TM to treat my old previous backup (of the same MPB, hence with the same MAC address) as if it was from another Mac (with a different name).
With such a setup, I can still access backups from my previous installation of the same hardware by selecting another volume from TM (by holding Alt when clikcing at the TM icon) or with tools such as Back-In-Time.
Is there any way to achieve this? My sparsebundle is large enough to hold another full backup alongside the old one.

Ah, yes, that is different ("reinstalled from scratch" usually means erased). If the disk was never erased, it will still have the same UUID. But since you've moved or replaced virtually everything, it will all get backed up anyway.

I wanted to have a *really clean* install as my old systems seemed to be messed up with some bad settings.
So, back to my original question: how can I make the new "XYZs MacBook Pro" appear alongside the old "XYZs MacBook Pro" and switch volumes when I start TM using the Option key?
Why would you want to do that? You can view and restore from any backup.
I figured that way I can keep all old backups from the old installation and not have TM retire old stuff. And start a new one from scratch for the new installation where things will get retired. Basically keep the two backups apart from each other and not see any of the old stuff unless explicitly mounted using the option key.
If I follow your approach, what happens to old files of the old disk/UUID? Will they get retired eventually? Would my original idea work as envisioned or would it retire old things nevertheless? If the latter is the case, it is of no use and your suggested approach is the better one.
Is there maybe a ay to force TM to start a new full backup?
Back up to a different place: a different HD or partition, or erase the current one.
Guess that's my only option then. I created a full bootable backup to en external USB disk using Carbon Copy Cloner. Erasing the internal disk and copying back using CCC will create a new UUID then I guess ...

Unable to create new connection using SAP Business One

Hi all,
I am unable to make a connection using the new SAP Business One connetion provided with the 8.8 release of SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.
There are no Companies available to select from. When I try to manually type in the company name, the logon fails. If I then press "Cancel", I get a message that Crystal reports encountered a problem and needs to close. The details of the error refers to the following DLL: crdb_b1.dll.
The connection is successful from another PC that only has the Client installed (and uses the License server on our server, which also contains the databases.)
I have a local installation with my own license server. I am not even able to connect to the database on my local PC.
Please can anyone explain why this isn't working?

My iCloud id is currently the same as my NZ Apple id. I am about to also create a new US Apple id. Should I then create a new iCloud id with it or use the existing one with both Apple IDs? BTW this is for both new iPad and iPhone4.

I already have purchases linked to my existing NZ Apple ID, and will still be using them. However, once the US Apple ID is set up I will use that predominantly from both devices for any new purchases (and Apple TV).
I also understand that iOS5 made a change that says there is a 90 day hold on changing between Apple ID's on the same device. Does anyone know if this is true?

Cretaing a new adapter using the existing file adapter

Is it possible to create a new adapter type copying the existing file adapter. That is I want to create a new adapter type for example "FNFS" and use the same module callsapadapter which is used in the File adapter. So that this new adapter type "FNFS" functions like the File adapter,
What are the actions I need to perform to acheive this.

New OracleConnection using an existing session

Hi,
We have a c++ application that has a permanently open connection to an Oracle database. We are developing an extension for the application using .Net. Is there a way to create an OracleConnection object that uses the same open session to the database without having to open a new one?

Sorry for not being clear. I mean by OracleConnection any .Net class I can use other than that provided by ODP.NET. I need to pass it a handle on an existing Oracle connection so I don't have to open a new one.

If message which needs to be changed is attached to AOL message then try the below
1.modify the message according to your requirement
2. clear fucntional cache to reflect the change in login page
Navigation to clear cache: Functional Administrator Responsibility -> Core Services -> Caching Framework -> Global Configuration -> Click on “Clear All Cache” button then click “Yes” button
How to find out which message is attached with that login page.Is there any way to find out that in about this page or personalization or any other method.If your login page is OAF page then you can check it using about this page. Go to 'about this page' link select "Expand All" radio button then search for your message.

Can't create new files nor open existing ones.

It's been a while since I last used photoshop, a similar kind of problem made me move away from the product, but the new features in CS6 are enticing enough for me to be interested in trying it again.
My problem is that, while the interface is completely usable (I can open the color picker, play with tools and preselects) trying to open a file or creating a new one does absolutely nothing.
File->New or CTRL+N will show the busy cursor for but a brief second, and then disappear, dragging a file to the interface shows me the "denied" cursor (black circle with a bar), File->Open lets me browse my disk but then when I select the image, nothing happens.
I've been scouring the forums for a solution to this and tried so many things that it's impossible for me to even try and list them all, so I'll accept any suggestion and try anything, I'll sum up what I did try in the first post (if it stays editable).
Please let me succeed in this, I'd love to go back to photoshop.

How can I test the other display theory? I didn't connect any new monitor (I do use 2) but I occasionally use stuff like remote desktop tools.
I'll try and update the display drivers (even tho I updated them recently).
P.S.: opening it on the other monitor worked. What the heck. Any way I can make it work on both monitors?
I'll be making more tests in the meanwhile.
