Legacy sequence importing - running out of regions error

So it finally happened. I want to access several sequence files from older versions of Logic. Currently I'm most interested in opening some 6.3 platinum versions.
I am running the latest greatest Logic 8 on an intel desktop...which obviously is useless for this portion of my exercise. I do have version 7 on a laptop, and version 6.3.1 on an old OS9 machine.
Attempting to open with V7 prompts me with a "running out of regions" error message, then crashes the app when I select "cancel".
Attempting with V6 yields a similar prompt "Running out of sequences" message. When I "cancel" I get another prompt "IsUnsorted: Track== NULL!" with "Bad" as my option, which then throws it into an endless loop, cycling the 2 statements.
Anyone have any mojo for me? Is it some kind of plugin issue, or audio card, or moon cycle?
This issue has really hit home the fact that we are creating an entire generation of music that will not be able to be accessed in element form. It also really points out just how **** old I am...sigh
Thanks in advance for any and all info.

  • Import Manager Out of Memory error

    I am running MDM 5.5.24.06 server on Windows XP Professional. The server has 4.0 GB RAM with 1.5 GB Virtual memory.
    I am trying to load 129 material master records from R/3 4.6 ( XML file size 8 MB), into MDM using Import Manager.
    When I click on import icon (Import Status tab selected), MDM Import Manager rightway returns 'Out of Memory' error.
    Tried to import the file again after rebooting the machine, restarting MDM Server, but still it returned the same error.
    Has anybody tried loading the R/3 material data into MDM? What's the experience? What was the load (# of records)?
    What was MDM IM performance? What's your hardware/software config?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Abhay

    Hi Abhay,
    My workstation has Windows 2000, Pentium 4 CPU 3.2 Ghz, 515,555 KB RAM.  The recommended specifications can be found on service market place of SAP, and we used those to procure our workstations.
    MDM server must be more pwerful than a workstation.  Try running the import manager from the server machine itself.  If it works there but not on your machine, it is memory of your workstation.
    Sometimes, I think this error comes when import map some issues- fields not mapped accurately or remote key mapped wrong etc.
    It is probably judicious to rpove the system memory as first step.
    Good luck!

  • CS6 Running out of memory Error while rendering

    Hey everyone,
    I recently upgraded to After Effects CS6 thinking it would be a great investment. So far, I have been horribly wrong!
    Here's my computer's specs: (this is a huge upgrade from the computer I was running 5.5 on without any problems other than it being slow)
    Intel i7-3615QM 2.3GHz Ivy Bridge processor
    8GB GDDR5 RAM
    NVIDIA GeForcs 650M w/ 2GB GDDR5 dedicated RAM
    Here's what's happening:
    I've been doing recording for my job at 1080p in front of a green screen. I record 16 minute sections. I use Keylight to replace the background with a still picture, and then export the video at half resolution, with audio as H.264 (.mp4) files. Normally I would set up the 16 minute sections to render in queue, but it kept having the "out of memory" error shortly after starting the one second in line. So then I started just doing one at a time... and now it won't even make it through one!
    I have noticed that even after rendering is done, AE is still using 6 gigs of RAM! Usually I can purge the ram, but now even doing that doesn't change anything - I have to close the program to get my RAM back. I have tried enlarging my page file, I've tried rendering in different resolutions and file types - I feel like I've tried everthing. I've looked all over the internet and I haven't found any real solutions (just talk from 2008 about "secret" menus that I can't get to work).
    Please help!!
    Thank you!!
    Dominic

    I wouldn't mind getting more RAM except that the computer I used to do this very same work with (except with 5.5) only had 6GHz of RAM and a pathetic processor and GPU in comparison.
    I've tried doing the same editing in PrP but it just doesn't have enough tools . Changing my output format hasn't helped either unfortunately. I think the program has a memory leak.
    I really think I might just go back to 5.5. I called support today and it took forever just to get the poor girl helping me to understand my name has an "m" in it. She wasn't really able to understand the problem. As far as I can tell, CS6 has been a 100% downgrade.
    Thank you both for the help!

  • Running out of locks, lockers, and logging region

    I know this issue has been brought up quite a bit, but I am experiencing an issue that I can't quite track down exactly.
    Simply, I have a function that either creates or reopens containers of an existing database. These creations/opens are wrapped in a transaction. The transaction is aborted on any kind of error and committed once all containers/databases are open.
    I have an application which runs as a daemon and stays connected to the containers and database waiting for a network connection. This application can be run any number of times. The database is meant to be initialized in a way to support concurrency and integrity.
    I am noticing that upon every execution of the application, my locks increase by around 80-100 and the lockers increase by a consistent 134. I am also subsequently seeing, after 5 instances are run, a logging region out of memory error.
    I was wondering if these locks/lockers/logging region usage sticking around after database/container initialization was normal and if I should be handling the expansion of these areas at runtime to accommodate the indefinite number of processes that can access this database at any one time?
    I know the question is rather vague, but I'm attempting to find out where I should begin looking.
    Thank you in advance and please let me know if you need anymore information.

    This is just a guess:
    (1) Your applications runs up against the maximum number of lock objects, which triggers an exception. This may be caused by either (a) your application requirements or (b) failure to commit/abort transactions.
    (2) The exception is not caught at the appropriate place, or appropriate action is not taken in the exception handling, which is to deallocate XmlResults and other objects (so the underlying C++ objects may be freed) and to abort the transaction.
    (3) C++ objects the Java wrappers of which should have been deleted (call delete()) are still around when they shouldn't be, and this causes a SEGV to happen, which is what you're seeing.
    If you think the above is possible, you could boil down com.company.MyClass to a minimal example that reproduces the behaviour you're seeing and is easy for others to run at home, and then post it here.

  • RoboHelp 9 gives an out of memory error and crashes when I try to import or link a Frame 10 file or

    I have Tech Suite 3. If I start a new RoboHelp project and try to import or link Frame files, RoboHelp tries for a while, then I get an Out of Memory error and the program crashes.
    I opened one of the sample projects and was able to link to one of my frame files without any problem, so it seems to be an issue with creating something new.
    Any suggestions?

    It happens when I create a new project and then try to import or link frame docs to make up the content. It starts scanning, then crashes. I did get it to the conversion setting page once, but no further.
    It does not happen if I open one of the supplied example projects and link a file. But then it doesn't let me choose, during import, any style mapping. And I can't delete the sample project fold
    Twice now it has told me when I tried to import (not link, but import) that my .fm file could not be opened, and told me to verify that Frame is installed (it is) and that the file is a valid frame file (it is).
    The docs and project are in separate folders on my C: drive.

  • Berkeley db fatal region error detected run recovery

    Hi,
    I have initiated d Berkeley DB object.
    Then, I am using multithreading to put data into the DB.
    Here is how I open the one data handler.
    ret = dbp->open(dbp, /* Pointer to the database */
    NULL, /* Txn pointer */
    db_file_name, /* File name */
    db_logical_name , /* Logical db name (unneeded) */
    DB_BTREE, /* Database type (using btree) */
    DB_CREATE, /* Open flags */
    0644); /* File mode. Using defaults */
    each threads would put data into the same handler when it needs to.
    I am getting "berkeley db fatal region error detected run recovery".
    What is the problem? Does it have anything to do with the way the handler is created or whether multiple threads can put data into the DB?
    jb

    Hi jb,
    user8712854 wrote:
    I am getting "berkeley db fatal region error detected run recovery".This is a generic Berkeley DB panic message that means something went wrong. When do you get this error? Did you enable the verbose error messages? Are there any other warning/error messages reported? By just posting the way you open the database doesn't help much at all. I reviewed the other questions you asked on the forum, and it seems that you are not following the advices and consult the documentation, but you prefer to open new threads. I advice you to first work on configuring Berkeley DB for your needs and read the following pages in order to understand which Berkeley DB Product best suits your application and how it should be configured for a multithreaded application:
    [The Berkeley DB products|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/intro/products.html]
    [Concurrent Data Store introduction|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/cam/intro.html]
    [Multithreaded applications|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/program/mt.html]
    [Berkeley DB handles|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/program/scope.html]
    On the other hand, if the code that's calling the Berkeley DB APIs is not too big and is not private, you can post it here so we can review it for you and let you know what's wrong with it.
    The procedures you should follow in order to fix a "run recovery" error are described here:
    [Recovery procedures|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/transapp/recovery.html]

    I keep on getting this error when i try to copy files to my 2T Time Capsule, Please help im running out of space on my MacBook Pro....
    The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)

    I would get an external drive today and copy all your stuff off the TC.. forget trying to load more onto it. There is a good chance after 3years (A 2TB should be only about 2years tops), the disk or the TC itself is on the way out. Do it immediately. If TM is also failing to backup you need to recognise symtoms of impending doom.
    Unfortunately the error messages are archane and it is hard to discover their meaning.
    You also cannot verify a network drive.. you can verify the TM sparsebundle though so do that.
    A5. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
    Reboot the whole network from off.. certainly if you run later OS it can simply lose the drive..
    If you still fail to be able to copy to the TC.. then get that external and copy off it. Tell us if you can do that.

    I've set this up on a Window XP machine using tomcat 5.5 and java 5 as well as a Redhat Linux machine with tomcat 5.5 and java 5. I'm using the Web Service point for other servers to access the database. Everything starts up and runs for a little while, but I can't seem to pin down what causes the errors. I've run recovery multiple times as well as started new databases. Any help is appreciated.

    There's a bug in your use of DB XML somewhere. Are you committing or aborting every transaction that you start, and calling delete() explicitly on all the DB XML objects that you use?
    Those errors mean your database has become corrupted somehow.

  • Out of Memory Error in Java Agents running in lotus notes

    I have a java agent running inside lotus notes jvm. It runs fine for some days but after some days start giving out of memory error and terminates.
    I need to restart agent manager in notes to enable java agent running. Is there a way to catch out of memory error so that on its catch i could restart agent manager.
    Regards,
    Saitu

    Dear Peter,
    The agent is written in java and
    I need to know a way to enter catch block of 'OUTOFMEMORYERROR'.
    My whole code is in a try block with two catches, one for outofmemoryerror and another for exception. When outofmemory error occurs control passes to the exception catch and not outofmemoryerror catch.
    Since out of memory is an error and not an exception, is there a way to catch it or run some code when out of memory occurs.
    Regards,
    Saitu

  • Why do I get a Track out of memory error while running open loop frequency response?

    MatrixX Build 61mx1411: I get a "Track out of memory" error when I run the Open Loop Frequency Response from the MatrixX pull down tools. What can I do to prevent this? We are running on an HP B1000 with 768 MB of RAM under HP-UX 10.2.

    In the old days of Mx say Version 5 and prior the user actually selected the amount of memory that would be allocated. Depending on the size of the model etc. you would have to allocate memory. In version 6.0 and going forward there is no need for the user to manually allocate the memory.
    Build {rstack=50000,istack=200000,sstack=50000,cstack=500 000}
    If this is a command in a script file that you are running and the error is resulting from that then I would try commenting out everything after the letter d in the word build and then starting it back up.
    i.e. only use Build
    I don't believe that there is a way to manually allocate the initial SystemBuild Stack size.
    I believe initially the stack size is set to 10010.
    However, one way
    you can manually set the initial SystemBuild stack size,is to create a large StateSpace as soon as you start up SystemBuild. This will prevent piece-meal reallocs while using SystemBuild.
    You can created a new SuperBlock in SystemBuild and then drop down a StateSpace Block with 199 inputs and 199 Outputs and 1 State and entered ones(200,200)as the StateSpace Matrix without any problems. This would resize this internal stack to at least 40000.
    You really should not have to do this but if that helps then you might think about doing this in your startup.ms file you could use SBA or load the file then you could delete the superblock and begin working.
    "Bob" gave me this little tid bit.
    Please let me know if any of this is of use.

  • Out of memory error importing a JPA Entity in WebDynpro Project

    Hi All!
    We are having problems importing JPA entities in a WebDynPro project, this is our escenario.
    We have two entities, entity A that has a ManyToOne relationship with entity B and at the same time entity B has a OneToMany relationship with entity A. When in the controller context we try to create a node usign a model binding to Entity A we got an Out of memory error from NetWeaver DS. Trying to figure out the problem we identified that in the model that we imported we got the following.
    Entity A
        Entity B
            Entity A
               Entity B
                  and so on....... without and end
    What are we doing wrong? Or how can we avoid these behavior?
    Regards,

    Hi Kaylan:
    Thanks for your reply. You are rigth about the error that we are getting. This is our scenario.
    We have a ejb that in some of his method uses the entity Lote, and this entity has a relationship with entity Categoria. When we import the EJB using the model importer netweaver imports the EJB methods and the entities that they use.
    So after doing this besides the ejb's methods we got these two entities that are the ones that are generating the error, when we try to create a context node using the Categoria entity.
    @Entity
    @Table(name="TB_LOTE")
    public class Lote implements Serializable {
         @EmbeddedId
         private Lote.PK pk;
         @ManyToOne
         @JoinColumn(name="CO_CATEGORIALOTE")
         private Categoria coCategorialote;
         @Embeddable
         public static class PK implements Serializable {
              @Column(name="CO_LOTE")
              private String coLote;
              @Column(name="CO_ORDENFABRICACION")
              private String coOrdenfabricacion2;
                   ^ this.coOrdenfabricacion2.hashCode();
    @Entity
    @Table(name="TB_CATEGORIA")
    public class Categoria implements Serializable {
         @Id
         @Column(name="CO_CATEGORIA")
         private String coCategoria;
         @OneToMany(mappedBy="coCategorialote")
         private Set<Lote> tbLoteCollection;

  • Sound import to 25 fps sequence is always out of sync and need rendering!!!

    Anyone know why an aif sound file from Pro Tools imported to 25 fps sequence is always out of sync and needs rendering? It is like FCP is converting it to another freq. when it is 48k already! I do this all the time with NTSC and 23.98 projects, what is up with the 25 frame seq.??
    Thanks, Mark

    Your audio files must be 48,000 kHz AIFF files if you want to use them in Final Cut Pro.
    If the originals are coming from CD's they are 44,100 kHz.
    Resample in Soundtrack Pro or convert in QuickTime Player.
    Your location says you are in LA. Why are you working in in PAL?
    I know that things need to be at 48K this would not matter anyway if it was 44.1 FCP would do the conversion and not make it out of sync in an NTSC Timeline, but a PAL timeline FCP screws with the sound file. The files came from pro Tools, the industry standard should mixing.
    I put them through Sound Track Pro and it did not help.

  • Db_verify: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery

    We have an application that is using bdb. On one of the instances it frequently hits a panic condition. db_verify reports the following:
    # db_verify -o file.db
    db_verify: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
    db_verify -VSleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 4.3.29: (June 16, 2006)
    Quitting the application and removing the __db.001 file will allow a clean restart. How do I debug where this problem might be coming from?
    thanks,

    db_verify: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recoveryThis is a generic error message that means the region files are corrupted. This is most often a problem in the application.
