Lens correction for Canon Powershot G1x

Please add Lens correction for the Canon Powershot G1 X into the LR 4.4 Update.
Sorry Adobe, but this is Canons Compact camera Flagship and still have no Lens correction profile after 9-10 Months on market??
I cant't understand it!!

This is a User to User forum. Official requests to Adobe go here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/products/photoshop_family_photoshop_lightro om
Adobe provides a free tool for you or some other G1X user to create your own profile. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5489 It doesn't take that all that much effort.

Need a lens correction for Canon zoom 8mm-15mm f4/L, it is not in the list of lens in Ligthroom
and how can I ad it?

It's available with ACR 8.4RC, so I would imagine that it will be available with LR 5.4RC/5.4. Just when that will be, is not known by anybody outside of Adobe. Hopefully soon.

  • Lens Corrections for Canon SX50 camera

Can Photoshop CS6 (Windows 8) make lens corrections for the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS camera?
My version of CS6 (64bit) is Photoshop: 13.0.1 x64 and CameraRaw plug-in is 7.3.0.71. There is a file
"Canon PowerShot SX50 HS AdobeStandard.dcp" size 118KB in the folder
    c:\Program Data\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\AdobeStandard.
However when I open a Cameras Raw file (*.CR2 for Canon) in Camera Raw and go to the Lens Corrections window with (under Lens Profile) Make = Canon I cannot find my camera in the drop-down list for Model. The list has 30 items ending with Canon PowerShot S100.
I have tried removing Photoshop, re-installing it and installing the updates, but this has made no change. I have been using Photoshop under Windows 8 since early in October 2012, and everthing else seems to be operating correctly.

The camera has built-in lens corrections, and Adobe already replicates these.  You cannot turn them off, so there is no selection to be made.
Here is what an SX50 HS raw pixel data really looks like using a raw converter that doesn't do lens corrections.  Notice the significant barrel distortion and the lens tube clearly visible in the corners:
Here is what the same raw file looks like in the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in for Photoshop, which has a way to tell you it is using a built-in profile, even when there is no external lens profile selected:
You need at least ACR 8.4 to see the added lens profile information.

  • Lens profile for Canon PowerShot S120?

Is there a lens profile for the Canon PowerShot S120?

Powershsot S100 is available - minor difference in aperture specification but same zoom range - implying that the elements may be the same.  Could serve for your purposes and works well for my S100.

When will Adobe offer lens correction for the Canon Powershot G1x in Lightroom?

It's now in the LR 4.3 release candidate
I installed the release candidate on a separate PC, found the lens profile file in the install folder and copied tge file to the appropriate folder in my 4.2 install.

Do you mean the SX10IS camera?  If so, it takes a 52mm lens cap.

  • RAW Support Canon Powershot G1X Mark II

    Dear all,
I have LR Version 4.3 and I am thinking about an upgrade to the current version (LR 5.4) in order to process RAW Files from my new Canon Powershot G1X Mark II. BUT...
...the release notes say: "preliminary support" for this camera only.
    What does that exactly mean?
Will there be an upDATE (free of charge) which provides full support?
Or will I have to upGRADE to LR 6 for full support?
Thanks a lot for your answers.

The timing of, even the existence of releases whether free dot releases like 5.5 or major paid releases like 6.0 are not normally published and anyone who knows likely can't say.
Preliminary support usually means, it will work but there may be a small hitch or two along the way that was unrealized in testing. You can always download and install the trial of 5.4 and test it yourself for 30 days.
Of course if you get a Creative Cloud membership, you are covered no matter what.

  • How to set raw format for canon powershot a1100 is ? ,,according to the specs online it can.

how to set raw format  for canon powershot  a1100 is ? ,,according to the specs online it can.

It requires the Canon Hacker's Developement Kit (CHDK). It runs off of your SD card and does not harm your camera. Download a program called Stick-
    http://zenoshrdlu.com/stick/stick.html
Follow the directions and you will be able to shoot in RAW along with some other deatures not available on your camera previously.

  • Lens correction for Hasselblad V series lenses

Lightroom does not provide lens correction for Hasselbald V series lenses, e.g. Carl Zeiss Planar 2,8/80. Hasselblad Phocus program does but Lightroom ignores Phocus metadata in FFF files imports. Is there any posssibility to achieve lens correction for these lenses in Lightroom? Thanks a lot in advance for help.

Here's a list of the currently supported lenses: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html
If your lenses aren't supported, you can check the Lens Profile Downloader to see if anyone else has created a profile, or you can create your own using the Lens Profile Creator.  You'll find the downloads for those here: http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.html#resources

  • Lens correction for Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D VR

Is there a Lens correction for Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D VR?

Yes there are two user contributed profiles. You can download and use it using Adobe's lens profile downloader tool.
    Mac download: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5491
    Windows download: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5492
Don't own that lens so I cannot vouch for how good the profiles are but the one done on the D700 is probably the highest quality judging from the number of focal lengths included.

  • Are there different lens corrections for the new and old Nikkor 80-400mm lenses?

Is there a different lens correction for the new NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED lens and the older NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D lens? The model number box under profile correction seems to make no distinction so it is hard to tell if the right lens is selcted. This would also be important in filtering the lens used so a comparison could be made of the results between the old and new. The EXIF data seems to make no distinction either. The newer model is great!
    Thanks!

The newer lens is definitely supported - came in with Lr 5.0.

  • Lens corrections for 80-200 2.8 D

I have a nikon ed af nikkor 80-200mm 1-2.8 D push pull that I use for portraits on a D 300.  This is the finest
lens I have ever owned.  When I process in acer I use the lens corrections for
my other lenses but this lens is not there.  Do I use a different lens like
the 70-200 VR?  Will Nikon be adding to the list?  Earl B

If you think that lens is good, you should get the 70-200vr. I never thought that i would own a slower lens, but i also purchased the 80-400vr, and it is absolutely as sharp as the 70-200. this may not answer your question, but info you might find interesting nonetheless.

  • Tokina 12-24 F4 Lens Profile for Canon 500D

    Dear Adobe Support Specialist,
I found a Tokina 12-24 lens profile for Canon 450D in this Forums but I am using Canon 500D.  Please kindly advise if it works on 500D too. If not, will there be one soon for download.  Look forward to your soonest reply

    Hi
I'm not the Adobe support specialist, but I made a lens profile for my Tokina11-16 by using EOS kiss F.
The profile works well on my EOS kiss X3 too. Thus I guess the prolide you found is also fit your 500D.
Why not try the profile you found. you can check the profile works well or not.
    kiss F = 1000D, kiss X2 = 450D, and Kiss X3 = 500D.
    Regards

  • No Lens Correction for Gopro

I have been trying to use the lens correction option for the Gopro.... However there is no lens correction option on my version. I have just installed the latest update to Premiere CC.
I have noticed another post with this problem. But I have not found an answer yet....
    Thanks

Sorry, maybe I'm just confused as to what you're asking for. You just want to straighten out the fisheye effect on GoPro footage? Is there a reason that you can't use one of the Lens Distortion presets?
