Library View Limit in Edit Web Part

Hi
I have created about 80 library views to display on 80 different pages. However, when editing my web part and trying to change my library view the drop down seems to have a limit of about 25 items. Is there a way to change this?
thanks,
AK

You can try with a web service and a data view web part, check below thread

  • People Picker/Edit Web Parts/More not working in IE11

    So, we just installed IE11 in our company and found the following issues with SharePoint 2010:
    People Picker not working
    At Search site, when you type in string(s) and hit Enter, nothing happens (you must click the search button)
    Cannot edit web parts on Wiki Page
    After doing some exhaustive homework (and installing Sep 2014 CU to see they were fixed), the only 2 solutions are:
    Run in compatibility Mode
    Fix the below tag in the Master Page and People Picker headers (14 hive)
    meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8"
    So, I just want to know if others have encountered this and what they did to resolve (compatibility mode or change the tags or other).
    I have a ticket open with Microsoft, we installed Sept 2014 CU, and are still having these 3 issues.
    Godspeed,
    Herschel

    Hi,
    Thanks for posting your issue,
    We know that IE11 has compatibility issues. Kindly follow below mentioned steps to solve this issue
    1. Installed all the latest Update for IE 11
    2. Add the site in compatibility Mode (Tools> Compatibility view settings> type site name> add)
    3. Add the site in trusted sites and set the security Zone level to low ( IE> Internet Options> Security> trusted sites> sites>add your site there> ok> custom level> select low> reset> ok)
    Also, browse the below mentioned URLs for more details to fix this issue.

  • Edit web part option does not appear in browser on lists

    I've inserted some lists on a wiki page. However, when viewing in the browser the checkbox and the dropdown containing the Edit Web Part option do not appear. On the properties tag I thought I enabled all the correct properties such as Allow Edit, Allow
    Minimize etc. What am I missing?

    Hi Larry,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the Edit web part option disappeared in the list web part.
    I recommend to check if the account has permission to edit the web part, please check the permission of the account in Site Permissions and the list permissions.
    Please also check if the target audience is set in the web part.
    Best regards.
    Thanks

  • Report Explorer Web Part - Edit Web Part

    Hi,
    I have the Report Explorer and  & Report Viewer Web parts installed and working
    Now, I would like to configure the Report Explorer to open the reports in Report Viewer, but I dont see the "Connections" property.
    In the Report Explorer Menu I only see the  "Report Manager URL" and "Start Path" properties. Where is the
    "Connections" property?

    Hi DevDiver,
    According to your description, you want to connect the Report Explorer to Report Viewer so when you click a report name in Report Explorer it is displayed in Report Viewer. So you are trying to find out the ‘Connections’ property to achieve this goal.
    Based on my test, just as you said, when we click Edit Web Part in the Report Explorer Web Part context menu, we can only see ‘Report Manager URL’ and ‘Start Path’ properties. Because the ‘Connections’ property is located at the Report Explorer context menu.
    After typing something in ‘Report Manager URL’ and ‘Start Path’ properties, click OK, then move the mouse to the Report Viewer row to click a black downward arrow. Then we can see the ‘Connections’ property in the drop-down list.
    The following screenshot is for your reference:

  • Webparts missing borders and edit web part menu

    I have a web part page, and added 7 apps (document libraries) into the page.  They are all set to minimized for the chrome state and toolbar type is "Full Toolbar".  The web parts do not display any border, and the edit web part menu
    is not available, it is only available when in editing mode.
    When I look at my site in SharePoint 2007 with the same settings, I can see that they have borders on the web parts and the edit web part menu is available on the right hand side (even when you are not in edit mode).
    2007 View (which I'm looking to mimic):
    What I currently have in 2013 (no borders or edit web part menu):
    Am I missing a setting?  I've tried in IE 11, FireFox and Chrome, all are the same.
    Any help would be most appreciated.

    I've done some fiddling after reading your post.. This seems like a bug, and there is hardly any information on it.
    I'm experiencing the exact same thing in my environment; I can minimize a web part, and it is not restorable unless I edit the page. Furthermore, when I set the chrome to Title and Border, I get no border.
    Also, it's cleared stated by MS that this should be possible: "You can configure a Web Part to be minimized by default on a page. You might do this if a page seems crowded.
    The readers of the page can restore the Web Part while they are reading the page. If they close and then reopen the page, the Web Part will be minimized again."

  • Views for list web parts. Is there a way to allow users to change the view for a list web part without being redirected?

    Hi,
    I added a list view web part into a SharePoint 2013 page and it  is working as expected, except for one thing.
    I have enabled the option for the user to change the view for the web part. However when the user changes it, the user is redirected away from the page containing the web part, to the URL of the list itself.
    Is there a way to circumvent this issue so when the user selects a different view it updates the listing in the web part itself, rather than the user being redirected?
    Thanks in advance for the help.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi,
    Please understand that one page can only display one view. You could find it out by observing the Address in browser when switching among different views for a list.
    If you would like to change the view of a list web part, you could go to web part propertites > Select view and configure it.
    In addition, here is a thread with similar requirement that might help:

  • SharePoint 2013 and IE 11 issue - While creating a Web Part Page and Editing Web Part Properties

    I tried to edit a Web Part in SharePoint 2013 using IE 11 but I did not see the Edit Eeb Part dropdown menu at the top-right corner of the web part. Then I tried to create a Web Part page and I get the following error.
    Cannot create a Web Part Page with the current browser. Browsers that support the creation of Web Part Pages include Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or later, and Apple Safari 3.0 or later
    Strange !!! My web browser is IE 11.
    I tried the above two tasks in Google Chrome and worked fine.
    Solution:
    I added the site url to local intranet zone in IE 11 and I am now able to add Web Part Page and Edit Web Part in IE 11.
    imd.net

    Hi - One more solution is to add SharePoint site to compatibility group:

  • Where is the drop down list with "edit web part" for a list??

    In Sharepoint 2010, there was a drop down list to the far right of a list.  One of the options was to Edit Web Part.  In Sharepoint 2013, I can't find the drop down list.  Nothing is to the right of my list and mouse overs down't reveal
    anything.  I am trying to get to that area to change my toolbar type.  Any clues as to where the "edit web part" has gone to?

    I've been able to edit Web Part properties for weeks, but a few days ago, I could no longer do it, either by using the checkbox in the upper right corner of the web part or by using Web Part Properties in the Web Part tab.  It's greyed out.
    Then yesterday I could do it again and today I can't.   An intermittent problem!
    No one has changed any Sharepoint Admin settings.
    Anyone have any ideas?  They would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can't edit web parts

    Hi All - I'm working in a SharePoint 2013 Online environment, and I can't edit any part on any page.  When I go into "Edit Page" mode, I only get the option to minimize and maximize web parts (Double up/Double down arrows). The check box and
    single down arrow (connected to edit menu) don't show up anymore.  It's strange because I never used to see the minimize/maximize arrows, before this.  If anyone knows what I might be doing wrong, please let me know.
    Thanks!
    JE

    I found that this was not occurring when I opened the site in Chrome, so I started playing around in IE to see if I could fix the issue. It turns out that when I added "sharepoint.com" to the list of sites in "Compatibility View Settings"
    it resolved the issue.  I don't know what happened that would have triggered the problem, but this certainly resolved it.  Hopefully, this will be of use to someone else.

  • Edit the Posts list view web part in a Blog site

    Hi,
    We found the great post vow to add a custom property (for example sub title) to blog posts view using jslink.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sharepointdevelopersupport/archive/2013/04/09/how-to-add-a-custom-field-to-blog-posts-in-sharepoint-2013.aspx
    It works in the Home page of the blog, but we want the property to be displayed in any post view.
    In order to display a column it has to be checked to be displayed at the view settings in the web part, but in the page posts.aspx there is no option to "Edit the current View".
    Any ideas?
    thanks a lot

  • Wiki Pages - Open Web Part Page in maintenance view

    I am trying add custom .aspx pages to a SharePoint 2010 Document Library.  When I try to edit properties for those pages, the edit page shows "Open Web Part Page in maintenance view to delete problem Web Parts and remove personal settings.
    Open Web Part Page in maintenance view."  I click Open Web Part Page in maintenance view
    The page displays
    The are currently no Web Parts associated with any Web Part Zones on this page.  Web Parts added to the page outside of a Web Part Zone will not appear in this list.
    I don't do anything with the maintenance view because there are no Web Parts to delete.
    As a test, I save the content of the custom.aspx page as a text file, custom.txt.  The edit properties displays just fine.
    Another test, I save the content as custom.htm.  The edit properties displays just fine.
    I try many variations of saving the content of custom.aspx with various html tags and even no tags at all.  One version just has the text,"test" in the page.  Save error:
    Open Web Part Page in maintenance view to delete problem Web Parts and remove personal settings.  Open Web Part Page in maintenance view."
    Going down another path, I try to compare the source of this aspx page with other SharePoint aspx pages.  One test is the Wiki Page.  All Wiki pages display the same message on my farm.  Is this a known issue with Wiki Pages?
    <apparently I'm not allowed to add images yet>
    As another point of comparison I opened the Edit Properties part within an Office 365 Wiki.  Same message.
    <apparently I'm not allowed to add images yet>

    Hi Chris,
    As your description, when you uploaded a .aspx page into a library and edited the properties, the message "Open Web Part Page in maintenance view to delete problem Web Parts and remove personal settings.  Open Web Part Page in maintenance view"
    showed.
    I could reproduce this issue if I uploaded a .aspx page into a library and edited its properties.
    Then I went to Site Pages library, and select a page and edit its property, the same message also showed like the screenshot:
    It seems that the message will show when we edit the properties of a page no matter which library we upload it to, it seems to be by design.
    In addition, if you want to upload a image into the thread, you can first upload the image into OneDrive, then copy and paste the URL of the image here.
    Thanks,
    Wendy

  • Web Part on View Form Hides Ribbon

    If I add a web part to a list or document library view for - say 'AllItems.aspx', the 'Library Tools' ribbon section is hidden.  Is this intended behavior or is there some configuration setting I am missing?
    To reproduce:
    Create a new Document Library
    Edit the default 'AllItems.aspx' view page
    Add a web part (any WP seems to do it)
    Exit edit mode
    Only the 'Browse' tab is now available

    Please use the below code:
    script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function () {
        var SummaryName = "Deviation";
        var TTNmyTable;
        var TTNListDiv = document.createElement('div');
        var TTNHeadingDiv = document.createElement('div');
        var tables = document.getElementsByTagName("TABLE");
        for (var i = 0; i < tables.length; i++) {
            if (tables[i].summary == SummaryName) {
                TTNmyTable = tables[i];
                break;
        TTNHeadingDiv.appendChild(TTNmyTable.cloneNode(true));
        TTNHeadingDiv.id = "TTNheading";
        TTNListDiv.appendChild(TTNmyTable.cloneNode(true));
        TTNListDiv.id = "TTNlist";
        TTNListDiv.width = "100%";
        // udpate the page
        var TTNnode = TTNmyTable.parentNode;
        TTNnode.replaceChild(TTNHeadingDiv, TTNmyTable);
        TTNnode.appendChild(TTNListDiv);
        // hide the heading row of the main list
        TTNListDiv.childNodes[0].rows[0].style.visibility = 'hidden';
        // make the DIV for the heading the same width as the main list
        TTNHeadingDiv.childNodes[0].style.width = TTNListDiv.childNodes[0].offsetWidth;

  • Page Viewer Web Part with horizontal scrollbar

    Hi,
    I added a page viewer webpart to a sharepoint 2013 website and placed a reporting services report url on it, however in some users the browser shows a horizontal scroll bar and cuts the report area. This is not version related because
    I can see it well in IE10 in one user and in others it shows the reported problem.
    Seems to be browser settings. Any ideas?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that some users’ browser shown a horizontal scroll bar in the page view web part.
    You can disable the horizontal using the CSS style as the following.
    <style type="text/css">
    #WebPartWPQ3 {
        OVERFLOW-X: hidden !important
    </style>
    Note: the WebPartWPQ3  is the webpart ID.
    You can find the ID as the following thread:
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/29649/disable-horizontal-scroll-bar-on-navigation-web-part-in-sharepoint-2010
    Instead of using page viewer web part, you can also use the content edit web part with IFrame, and some JavaScript to achieve it.

  • Eliminate White Space in Picture Library Slideshow Web Part

    On my site, I am using picture library slideshow web parts on two different pages, and one of them is giving me trouble with unwanted white space between the photos and the back, pause, forward control buttons (see photo below).
    In an attempt to resolve this issue, I have tried numerous things. I have resized the width and height of the web part itself to many different sizes, but to not avail. I have cropped and resized all of the photos to be the exact same size of 300x200
    pixels. I have used CSS to display the photos to their actual size rather than the standard preview size. With all of this in mind, my second photo library web part on another page works perfectly. This was white space problem was only an issue until
    I resized/cropped the photos in that case. For this page, however, that solution is not working.
    Does anyone have any clue as to how I can remove this unwanted white space?
    Thank you!

    Hi Stacey,
    From your description, you would like to remove white space in picture library slideshow web parts. You used CSS to solve it however a web part still show white spaces.
    Please press F12 and see if there is div tag in white space, if there is, try remove it.

    In addition, try edit web part properties > Display with > choose No Title or Description.

  • Different query for same view showing on different page as list view web part

    Hi all,
    If you have three pages and want to add Documents library as list view web part to these three pages with different query (Programmatically), Do you need to create three different views for Documents library or it is possible to have different query when
    I add the list view web part to the page?
    thanks and appreciate all kind of advice.

    When you add a List View Web Part to a page, SharePoint actually copies the selected view query into the Web Part itself. For example:
    You create a custom view on a list called "Mede71's View" and you configure it only show the Title column
    You add a List View Web Part to a page and update the settings to use the "Mede71's View"
    You go back to your list and change "Mede71's View" and add the "Modified Date" column
    Your List View Web Part will not reflect this change because in step 2 the Query from the view was copied into the List View Web Part
    When you programmatically add the List View Web Part, you can either assign it to an existing view or supply the query directly. If you want to instruct users to be able to add their own web parts pointing to those views in the future, I would recommend
    creating the views first.
