License problem with LR5

The serial number is supposeds to be at the bottom of the box.  There is a long number/letter combo on the sticker but it is to long for the serial number boxes.  It is supposed to be 24 digits, but it is much longer.  How do I register?

    At the moment I’m having problems with LR5. Hopefully someone could help me…   
    When I’m in the ‘develop’ module I can’t see the changes I’ll make in the screen.
    For example; when I would like to crop an image the complete image appears in grey and I can’t see the image anymore.
    For example; when I would like to change the lightening from the picture, I can’t see the change I would like to make. Not on the screen and not in the navigator.
    I’ve already reinstalled LR and installed it again, but the problem still isn’t solved.

    The video card in your computer has a driver (which is software that allows it to operate). Depending on your computer and what video card it is, you would have to download the most current video driver and install it so that the problem can possibly be fixed.
    You have to look at your computer's specifications and determine what video card is used. That will determine how to find the most current driver.

  • Licensing problem with UCCX 7, agent not able to login at all

    Hi there,
    We have UCCX 7 server and CUCM 7.
    Problem is that we the agents are not able to login and they are getting maximum license error although not all licenses are used.
    We get the following errors when trying to login:
    1. "Maximum number of licenses reached. Please notify your System Administrator".
    2. When we click "Ok" for the error above, we get the following "A licensing error has occured. Please try again in five minutes. If the problem persists, please see your log file or System Administrator for details.".
    I checked the licensing service and it is working fine.
    The log for the licensing service is not indicating anything, it shows only the last time there was a failure in this service (this was 6 months ago after a restart). It was working fine until yesterday.
    I tried to disable the "IPCC Extension" under the User Configuration in the CUCM and enable it again, but did not solve the problem and got the same error.
    It is worth to mention that when I disabled the "IPCC Extension", before I enabled it again, I tried to login using CAD but I got the same exact error.
    Any help will be really appreciate, thanks a lot.

    Open a command prompt on your UCCX server (not client) and go to this directory:
    C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin
    Then run:
    showlicenseusage.exe
    THis will show you the IP addresses that are currently consuming licenses. You can check these PCs to see if they are still logged in - if they are, that's your problem. If they aren't, then you may have a problem with the LRM service or something.
    If it has logins listed that aren't really logged in, you might be able to restart the License and Resource Manager service from Control Center to resolve it temporarily.

  • Terminal Server Licensing Problems with GPO Security Group License Server

    Hello,
    I have two fresh installs of W2K12R2.
    One is RD Session Host and the other one is the License Server. Everything is fine until I active the GPO Security Group License Server. After that the License Server gives no licenses
    to die clients (we have User und Device CALs). TS Licensing Diagnostic’s shows no errors, the number of available licenses is displayed correctly, even the state of GPO Security Group License Server is correctly shown as "active" and die
    Membership in the Group "RDS-Endpointserver" is "Yes". Eventlog shows no Errors. Log in on the session host is even possible, maybe because the RDS-Service is in evaluation time.
    If the GPO Security Group License Server is disabled again, the server starts to serve licenses as expected.
    I don’t know what I can do anymore, never had problems with exact the same setup under W2K8, but with W2K12 is the second time I notice this issue.

    Sorry to inform but there is no official document for server 2012 related to this event, you can go through below article for reference.
    You cannot use a security group to add computer accounts to the Terminal Server Computers group. You must add each computer account explicitly. To verify whether an RD Session Host server is allowed to request RDS CALs from the Remote Desktop license server,
    you can use the IsSecureAccessAllowed method of Win32_TSLicenseServer class. For more details about this method, click here.
    1. License Diagnosis tool returns error "License server <computer name> cannot issue RDS CALs to the Remote Desktop Session Host Server because the 'License server security group' Group
    Policy setting is enabled."
    2.Control the Issuance of RDS CALs
    Note: You should only enable this policy setting when the license server is a member of a domain. You can only add computer accounts for RD Session Host servers to the RDS Endpoint Servers group when the license server is a member of a domain.

  • License problems with RAID systems

    We are running a Labview vision 8.0 application on a XP SP2 system with RAID controller. The purpose is to be able to quickly recover from any harddisk problems. Do I have to reactivate the licenses when I swap the harddisks?

    As your RAID controller is just an external harddrive, the vision license is essentially running on the same machine so the same license can be used on different controllers.
    There's no need to deactivate for each controller, as long as the license is being used on one system I don't believe you would be violating the licensing agreement.

  • License issue with LR5 installed before subscribing to CC

    Hi,
    I purchased a LR4 license in april 2012.
    In august 2012, I subscribed to full CC -and I still have an active subscribtion.
    My MacBook has has an LR5 trial version installed.
    I I can no more use it, as LR asks for serial number.
    So I reinstalled a brand new copy of LR from Creative Cloud manager. I was expecting my active subscription to give me the rights to use it.
    But my mac still seems to consider it as a standalone trial version, and asks for a serial #.
    What should I try ?

    I see that even though you re-installed Lightroom application , it has been reverted as trial.
    You can follow below steps:
    1)Lightroom does not have uninstaller file for Mac computer installation.  Simply Trash the Lightroom application from Applications folder.
    2)Trash Adobe Creative Cloud , Adobe Application Manager folders from Utilities ,  ( No need to run uninstaller file for Creative Cloud).
    3)
    a) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To Folder " option.
      b) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
    ~/library
    c)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
    d)Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
    4)
    a) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
      b) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.
    /library
    c)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
    d)Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater ,Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
    [Note: Mac computers has 2 libraries : ~/library and /library

    Select the option Adobe Application manager for Mac OS X and then click on Clean up selected :

  • A lot of us CC users are having a problem with LR5--photos won't open in PS from LR.  Is there a fix?

    I have called the guys in Mumbai about this 5 times and they don't have a clue.  The "Edit>Edit in>Photoshop" function works fine on my desktop, but won't work on my laptop (Mac's).  I know I am not the only one, and I have had the Genius Bar guys look at the Mac end of the problem.  The issue is with Adobe, and there is a long string of forum complaints about this you can access on google.  There is an awkward work-around, but that ain't what I am paying for.  Does anybody have a solution?

  • License problem with WCS and WLC

    Hi All,
    I have planned to implement three WLCs and one WCS to manage them.
    AP count is as below :-
         WLC #1     -     10 AP
         WLC #2     -     10 AP
         WLC #3     -     20 AP
    When WLC #1 is down that connected 10 APs should failover to the WLC #3.
    So at normal scenarion, WLC #3 should need 30 AP license; to failover WLC#1 APs properly to the WLC #3
    My problem is, Can I load total AP license (40 license) to WCS without installing them to individual WLCs ?
    If it is possible i can cut off the additional 10 AP license, required to the HA and failover.
    or if I use a WCS may i need to buy additional 40 license to WCS seperately from 40 WLC license ?

    Yes, you required to have seperate licences for WLC & WCS.
    You cannot add WLC licence to WCS & vice versa.

  • License problems with Photoshop CC

    I Signed Adobe Cluod and down load and install Lightromm & Photoshop. Photoshop stops without an error messagel. I tried to logout and login, following the adobe solution,  but allways asked me once to activate the license. I recivied a message with the confirmation that I can work with photoshop but ask me again for the same and still Photoshop continues in the samen statusclose without error message. Please can you hel me.

I got the pop-up message "License key has been installed successffully", but nothing changed. I restarted the Service and Studio and tried again. Again nothing changed.
    What more can I do ??

  • Multiple problems with LR5 LR5.2

    I will try to be clear here.  I am running windows 7 64 bit. LR 4 worked fine. LR5 has the following (main) issues/bugs:
         Crashes when help - about system  is clicked.
         Freezes on keyword changes and will not refresh or change keywords with newly selected image. Sometimes fixes with waiting a long time, sometimes only with restart of the program      or optimization of database.
         Does not allow files to be rotated in full view, only in grid view.
    With the upgrade to 5.2 I hoped the above would be corrected. They have not, and now, as an added 'feature' I also have:
         During the same session, a previously exported image is re-exported with a new export in place of one or more of the newer exports. This happens despite the filmstrip or grid view      being in sync on choices and when I am certain that previously exported image is not selected in the current export.
    Can anyone offer any insight here? Further, the program does seem quite sluggish at times, though I have the program and database on seperate drives. I am thinking or will change over to working in previews to resolve that issue, meanwhile, the other issues are still in play.
    I am also really frustrated as my experience with LR and Photoshop have until now been fairly straightforward. I am quite disappointed at Adobe for releasing such a shoddy product without further testing, and not having addressed these issues yet!

    I think I'd try to reset Lr preferences first. This will revert Lr to "factory state". A complete uninstall/reinstall will not affect preferences.

    Move or rename the prefs file, a new one will be created on startup.

  • Having a problem with LR5 install and beta version

    I uninstalled LR5 beta first, then purchased and installed LR5  on windows 7. Now when I open LR5 I only get the images I download on the beta version and not my LR4 catalogs etc. How do I get LR4 to merge into LR5 new install?

    Jan, it sounds like most of your work is in your LR4 catalog?  In that case, I would start Lightroom 5, go to File > Open Catalog and point to your Lightroom 4 catalog (like dj_paige said).  Lightroom 5 will update your LR4 catalog.  Depending on how many images are in your catalog, this could take some time.
    Once your Lightroom 4 catalog is completely upgraded, decide if you want to merge your beta catalog into the upgraded catalog or not.  If you do, you can do File > Import from Another Catalog and point to your Beta catalog.  This will merge it into your newly-updated Lightroom 4 catalog.

    The destination directory, where Lightroom is trying to copy photos to, does not have WRITE permission. Change your permissions.

    After upgrading from LR5 to LR5.2 none of my nef and dng files are supported, any clue?

    When I do File>>Open Catalog, no file show up in the window if "supported files" is selected. This is so even though there are a bunch of nef files in there (they show up if I choose "all files").
    Regarding the first part of your question I am not sure what upgrading the catalog is. Anyhow, I do not use ligthroom for cataloging just to retouch pictures. All catalogs previously created were erased (and never backed-up).
