Like many others, I`m a business man and in many ocasions I need to access xls files (Excel) but being able to change using macros like in simulators. I think apple should provide this in the iphone or maybe have some sort of app which we can use?
I am a business man, and in many times a need a very important tool which I think an iphone should have which is some sort of app which will allow you to make changes to any xls file(Excel file).
I find apps that allow me to see and open these files but do not allow changing numbers on files with Macros.
A example is when you have a xls file using macros like in a simulator.
You have to change the values according to different client and it just doesn`t allow you.
I think iphone is a very decent phone but I just think that apple should povide this option to all users which would definately be alot happier.
I work at a finance company and need to use finance simulators with Macros.
Can you have an app that allows me to do this?
Since Excel is a microsoft product, they would have to make the app.

Sorry, but you will not find any such app. The iOS itself is set up such that 3rd parth apps can have almost no interaction with any other app (exceptions being the ability of some to read data from some of the OS included feautures, like Maps reading location information from iOS location services). So there is no way to design an app that would interfere with or restrict how another app works - the iOS simply precludes that.

I rented a movie through itunes on my ipad and wanted to watch it with friends on a digital projector, but it wouldn't allow me to do it. Is there any way around this?
The issue was that a dialogue box came up which said that I couldn't play this movie on another device. I tried playing the same movie on an Tv with an HDMI connection attached to an adapter to the IPad and that worked. I wonder if the problem is that the digital projector has a VGA connection.

On the old PDA we used to be able to just point our PDA at another one and jusr zap over our information like Number and address for them to store can we do this on the iphone?
There are some apps, but they don't send via IR or bluetooth as your PDA used to - they currently use e-mail. Haven't tried any of these (I'm trying to decide if I need it) but here are a few: Send Contact, GoContact, v-Card Mailer, EmailContact.

found out i can't update ipod touch 4th generation to ios7 which is now required to use facetime. have used facetime for several years with family now can't use. Apple should not take away the capabilities you already have paid for!!
No correct, you do not need iOS for FaceTime. You only needed to update to iOS 6.1.6.

[ thank.]That is impossible since every iPhone sold in the USA until the November release will have some sort of sim card in it. What differs is whether you purchase subsidized or not. Once the item is purchased without any subsidy it is automatically unlocked. I've unlocked two so far just by plugging them into iTunes: "Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked".
The unlocked packaging will be exactly the same but will have different SKU numbers and will not come with a sim card and will have an ejector tool.
I just had some issues replacing my unlocked phone since it was malfunctioning. They replaced it with a locked unit & then came to the conclusion they are unable to unlock it. I had to return the phone and repurchase another for the unlock to work again. Come Novemeber they will have actual "unlocked" replacements. -
In iCloud you have the ability to NOT format phone numbers of contacts; this ability is not available on the contacts of iPhone. If I set-up a phone number in iCloud with NO parenthesis, ex. 123- 456-7899, then this format should be available on the iPhone contact.
That is correct is doesn't. Standardized formatting of phone numbers in the iOS app is more important because it supports contact from a variety of locations (gmail, hotmail, etc.). iCloud doesn't (not directly).

Do you think 3G should be added on the regular iphone?
Do you think 3G should be added on the regular iphone? Well I do, because it just doesn't seem fair to the people that already bought the regular iphone. I mean, no one wants to waste an extra $200 for a phone that does the same stuff, the only difference is it has 3G.
I am curious. Why do so many first gen iPhone users feel they should get special consideration for the iPhone 3G. It's a new product so it's going to be sold as so. Apple, like many other organizations is a business. If every time they released a new product and gave those that bought the previous version a discount or special privileges, they wouldn't make much money. I myself got my iphone around christmas, and certainly don't feel i should be able to trade in my phone for the 3g one. You don't go ask your car dealership to upgrade your car just because you bought last year's model. To be perfectly honest, my phone has been working great since i had it and i'm more afraid that if i get a new one that it just might give me problems. There won't be a SIGNIFICANT difference between the 1st gen iphone and the 3G one (but that's my opinion). Faster internet is good, but you will still get to the same internet. They say the sound is better, but I honestly think something like that will always be subjective. The iPhone is a great product. People should enjoy the phone they have and shouldn't be so quick to want to just get rid of it because a new one is being released. Now when the 3rd gen is released, everyone that bought the second gen a month before the 3rd gen is released is going to want the same type of consideration.

When I am trying to import pictures from my iphone to PC, I get the message'No new pictures of videos were found on this device'. There are lots of pictures which i can see on the iphone. I have a 4S. Is there a way to get around that?
It sounds like you are using an application to import. You can do it manually.
Start > Computer (on the right) > scroll to the bottom and you will see your iPhone under Portable Devices > Open it and you will see a Drive, open that and there will be a DCIM folder. That is where your photos will be (There may be other folders each holding photos). -

No one here would know Apple's plans. But, if past history holds true, expect a new model iPhone sometime between now & the fall.

The program vectorworks 2008 (not 2009) does not work with the new operating system Mavericks, which is a disaster because it forces us to change the program, and is very expensive. Apple should fix this problem
Why should Apple fix the problem? Maybe you should consider NOT upgrading if an expensive piece of (obsolete) software you're running won't work with it...
