Limit User View To Not Include Resource Attributes

Although I've created custom workflow and forms I'm still unclear on what exactly initiates the loading of views when starting for example the Tabbed User Form. Can you control what gets loaded into the view, specifically not load resource attributes?
We currently have approximately 700 resources and growing. This significantly lengthens the load time of the Tabbed User Form because Identity Manager connects to several hundred resources. We normally do not edit resource attributes directly but instead set them using globals or role attributes. This latency also has an affect throughout the tool, for example end-users requesting roles requires the Tabbed User Form to load.
Ideally the view would only load the waveset and globals values and only connect to the necessary resources upon saving the view.
Any ideas or further explanation on what controls the view attributes would be greatly appreciated.

Dynamic Tabbed User Form will not help here as the resource attributes are loaded anyway, regardless whether the form displays it or not.
The problem is the user view itself that checks every linked resource. I don't think you can limit the view by providing some arguments. You would have to create your own view along with the necessary handlers for checkout and checkin.

    Please suggest me the solution for this.
    I tried , but when xmlelement() is not having data it will display empty tag ie </enumeration>, If xmlforest() are null it wont show tag, But i have to use xmlelement only. how can that be achived using xmlelement .

    Use a SQL case - when - else end construct to only execute the xmlelement if data is present. The SQL/XML standard is very clear, xmlElement will generate an empty element if no data is present. xmlforest will not.

  • User View is not reflecting the source data - Transparent Partition

    We have a transparent partition cubes. We recently added New fiscal year details to the cube (user view as well as source data cube). We loaded the data to the source data cube. From the user view, we tried to retrieve data, it shows up 0's. but the data is availble in the source data cube. Could anyone please provide the information what might be the issue?
    Thanks!

    Hi-
    If u haven't add the new member in the partition area, then Madhvaneni's advice is the one u should do. Because, if u haven't add the member, the target can't read the source.
    If u have already added the new member in the partition area, and still the data won't show up, sometimes it's worth to try re-save the partition, and see what's the outcome.

  • Can not include resources into apk

    I'm trying to implement a Fortumo payment system as a native extension in the Android project.
    The system comes as an external jar library.
    When the application was packaged I saw that packager did not take classes from this library.
    Solve this problem it was possible only if copy all classes from external library into my native library, and then package native extension and application.
    But with the resources did not happen.
    After package, the apk file in the root directory must have directory of resources of the payment system (fortumo_res). But I can put resources only in assets directory.
    Can someone help me do this?
    P.S. Maybe need change apk and then resign it? But so far I did not succeed to do it.

    Are you manually packaging your APK using the ADT tool?  If so, you can add resources to your package (and specify which folder they should go in to) by using the -C and -e options.
    -e places a file or directory into a specific folder in your package
    -C changes the current working directory on your development machine
    Here is an example.  This will place the file 'asset.png' into the folder [package root]/lib/assets
    adt [adt command here] -e "C:\\path\to\my\asset.png" "lib/assets"
    You can also specify entire directories (recursively) instead of individual files.
    Here is an example.  This will place the directory (and sub-directory) 'fortumo_res\assets' into the folder [package root]/fortumo_res
    adt [adt command here] -e "C:\\path\to\fortumo_res\assets" "fortumo_res"
    Or, you can place the 'fortumo_res' assets into the 'assets' package folder instead:
    adt [adt command here] -e "C:\\path\to\fortumo_res\assets" "assets"
    You can have as many as you like. Example:
    adt [adt command here] -e "C:\\path\to\my\asset.png" "lib/assets" -e "C:\\path\to\fortumo_res" "fortumo_res"
    Hope it helps!

  • Issue Setting Resource Attributes via Workflow Process

    I'm currently trying to set resource attributes via a workflow process, but for whatever reason the attribute is not detected as "changed" and the update object has nothing about the attribute. I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong with the way I'm setting it, or if I'm missing a piece to apply the upate.
    What I'm doing is...
    1. Checking out the user view
    2. updating the attribute via code something like this...
    <set name='user.accounts[ldap].attributeIWantToChange'>
    Logic in here
    </set>
    3. then I'm checking the view back in.
    Anyone know why this isn't working(I can set other attributes like waveset.roles fine this way)?
    Edited by: UNO-AD-HM on Jul 6, 2009 12:54 PM

    Figured it out, have to load a different form in when I check the view out, the tabbed user's form will not update resource attributes.

  • SHAREid - A local user session could not be created for the assertion

    Problem: We have a client trying to federate to our environment using POST profile but we are getting the following error, "RECEIVER: ERROR: A local user session could not be created for the assertion".
    I verified that the user exist in the directory and I am able to execute a test successfully as that user.
    Thanks.

    There is a requirement that the client needs to send an attribute called "traveler" in the assertion. We found out that the problem occurs only when client sends a attribute in the assertion. When the assertion does not include the attribute, there is no issue. Not sure why that is the case as we have other clients sending the same attribute in the assertion.

  • Resource Attributes not saving in Queriable User Extended Attributes

    Howdy,
    I added a few queriable user extended attributes to IDM. I originally added them in through the configure user attributes interface. I then edited the UserUIConfig to specify that they were queryable. I then edited the User Search Defaults form's getSearchableAttrs function to include these attributes. My added attributes now show up in the search user form, etc., just like I expected them to. Next I configured a new resource adapter for a database table that contained some values I wanted to use to populate these queriable attributes. I wrote a correlation rule, and ran reconciliation on the new resource. It matched up the account entries and automatically matched and linked the account information. So far so good. However, the user extended attributes I defined are not getting populated with the data from the new resource. The mapped resource attributes are treated as part of the user view, but only under the given resource, not as a queriable attribute. I really want to be able to use the find user interface with these datafields. Does anyone know why my data is ot making it into the queriable fields? Do I need to write another rule or workflow? Any advice would be most helpful.
    Thanks!
    Jim

    Queryable attributes refer to attributes stored in the IDM user object, and so need to be referenced as such.
    If you want attribute 'foo' in resource 'bar' to be stored as a Queryable attribute, you need to define it like so in your User Form :
    <Field name='accounts[Lighthouse].foo'>
        <Expansion>
              <ref>accounts[bar].foo</ref>
        </Expansion>
    </Field>This should pull the value from the resource attribute and put it in the IDM attribute. If you refer to it as a global.foo everywhere, that might work (but I find globals to be problematic).
    Let me know if it works...

  • View object SponsorVwView does not include a primary key attribute RowId

    Hi,

    Does anyone have any any ideas on this?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi...
    I believe you'll need a PK so Oracle will know how to update the MV. Is there any particular reason for you not having a PK in FAFG_ASSETS table? As an alternative, you may want to create a new column in this table and having a table trigger/sequence populating this column.
    But It looks like you are using EBS, so, I don't know if you can add new columns to tables.
    See if this thread can help you:

  • Calendar Server 4: Adding a user to a node does not add ou attribute

    In Netscape Calendar Server (CS) 3.5, if I add a new user with an organizational
    unit (ou)
    attribute to a Calendar Server node, the server will create an
    ou so that the Calendar client
    will be able to use the ou
    parameter to search for this user.
    <P>
    However, in CS 4.0, if I add a new user to an ou
    and then add that user to a Calendar
    node, the server does not automatically create a separate ou
    attribute.
    <P>
    Will I need to manually add the separate ou
    attribute to the ldif
    <P>
    No. The CS 4.0 server, unlike the CS 3.5 server, supports mapping from
    Calendar Server attributes to LDAP attributes. You can find more information
    on this mapping property in the Administrator's Guide for Netscape Calendar
    Server 4.0 at the following URL:<BR>
    <P>
    http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/calendar/ncs40/ag/appendie.htm#1025959.
    <BR>
    <P>
    To enable this mapping, in the [LDAP]
    section of the
    /users/unison/misc/unison.ini file,
    add the following entry:<BR>
    <P>
    attr_orgunit1 = "ou"

    Is there a way to enter multiple groups? Guess I'll have to learn how to do multi input in a real custom form.The "MultiSelect" HTML Component works for me and I cant think of any other suitable component. Multiselectable List maybe. Fill the allowedValues property with a hardcoded list (*BAD*) or directly from a search on LDAP (_GOOD_) using IDM getResourceObjects FormUtil. You should find plenty of examples how to use it in the forum.
    One issue I noticed, I've verified the user was added to the group using an external ldap tool (JXplorer), however now that group has disappeared from the LDAP resource browser list view.(I personally prefer the good old [lbe LDAP Browser\Editor|http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/~gawor/ldap/] or ldapadmin)
    That shouldn't happen... Verify the group is still there, the objectclass isnt changed by IDM (really shouldnt happen...) and make double sure nobody else screwed around with it. Groups of objectclass groupOfNames and groupOfUniqueNames (and posixGroup but that's a different schema mapping) are supported by default afaik.

  • Custom resource/attribute not visible in FIM portal for non-admins

    hi all
    I have a problem I am not able to solve and hope somebody can help. We have created an custom Resource in the FIM portal called Customer. It is an User Resource Type and  attribute type customer, data type=reference.
    We have made this attribute visible in the Users Properties by editing the RCDC for Configuration for User Creation, Configuration for User Editing and Configuration for User Viewing. It is now visible for alle users in the FIM Portal.
    But when an non-admin searches for an attribute in that Field, nothing shows up.... only member of the administrator set, are able to display the results.
    I have added the Resource to Filter permission - Administrator Filter permission + non-administrator filter permission.
    I have added the Resource to MPR - General: Users can read non-administrative configuration resources?
    Can anyone help?
    Best regards Andre
    Andre

    Hi,
    To be clear,
    You have create one new resource type 'Customer' and one attribute 'Customer' (Reference, binded to Person object)
    Update RCDC for Person (create/edit/view) to add a picker attribute with those parameters
    UsageKeywords: This is an optional string property. You can define a list of search scopes to be used in the Resource Picker by providing a list of the usage keywords that are supported by the SearchScopeConfiguration structure, where each keyword is separated by a (‘).
    ResultObjectType: This is an optional string property. The resource type is used to render resources in the pop-up dialog-box list. This is used with the Filter to help the Identity Picker identify what resource type is returned by the Filter, and render the data accordingly. This property is mutually exclusive with the UsageKeywords property (see above). When the search scope is applied, this has no effect. The string that is accepted for this property is any single, valid, resource-type name, for example, Person. When the filter is expected to return multiple resource types, Resource is used.
    Modify MPR "User management: Users can read attributes of their own" and "User management: Users can read selected attributes of other users" to add this new attribute
    Create a new MPR to give the right of all users to view new resource 'Customer' on all attributes
    Is that right?
    Regards,
    Sylvain

    Sunny,
    I figured out the problem... Wrong configurations. See what I did:
    a) Reviewed the explanation below about the paramater certifierOU of Lotus Notes ITRes, so I set it to empty.
    certifierOU Specifies the OU of the certifier to be used when creating user accounts If you use a certifier on the target system, then you must specify the certifier OU value. If
    you do not have a certifier on the target system, then leave this parameter field empty.
    If there are multiple certifiers on the target system, then you must create one IT resource (of the Lotus Notes IT resource type) for each certifier. Refer to Oracle Identity Manager
    Design Console Guide for information about creating IT resources. If you specify a value for the certifierOU parameter, then the user OU value that you specify on the process form is ignored during the creation of a DN for a new user account.
    If you do not specify a value for the certifierOU parameter, then the user OU value that you specify on the process form is used in the DN. This feature ensures that only one OU value
    is included in the DN.
    If you specify a value for the certifierOU IT resource parameter, then user records for which the certifier OU value in the DN does not match the certifierOU parameter value are not
    reconciled. This is because the user DN is used to match records in the target system and Oracle Identity Manager, and a difference in the certifier OU value would lead to a
    mismatch in DN values. The following example illustrates this type of scenario:
    Suppose a user account on Lotus Notes has the following DN:
    CN=John Doe/OU=testcertou/O=test/C=US
    If testcertou has not been assigned as the value of the certifierOU parameter for any of the IT resources created on this Oracle Identity Manager installation, then the records of this
    user cannot be reconciled into Oracle Identity Manager.
    Sample value: NY
    b) The MailServer paramater was win2k3base/oimdev and I've changed it to CN=win2k3base/O=oimdev.
    c) As the certifierOU is clear now, so I have to inform the Orgnation Unit field in the process form.
    Thanks.

  • Essbase 11.1.2.2 view outline not showing attributes assigned to level0

    I have a weird queston. I have users that have full READ access to an essbase application. when they goto view it doesn't show the attributes assigned to our property dimension. In this version shouldn't they be able to see these? Or do i need to update their filter to have MetaRead for this to be accessible. The present owner of the application (who is an admin) clicks view and the property Level0 members do NOT show the attributes assigned.
    Any ideas?

    I assume you're talking about Outline Viewer in EAS? The attribute associations never show up in the treeview when using Viewer, although if you right-click on a member you can see the associations via 'View member properties' (and also get to the 'Attribute Viewer' tool which might help).
    In the Outline Editor the attribute associations do show up in the treeview, unless turned off in Tools | Console Options | Outline Tools.

  • Info-Object Master Data is not populated using Attribute View

    Hi Colleagues,
    I have one info-Object 'Resource', compounded with client, resource type and scenario.
    I want to fill its master data using an attribute view.  In Master data tab, i have mentioned the package and attibute view (SAP HANA MODEL).
    Assigned all the attributes to respective fields in attribute view.
    I can see data using the 'Data Preview' in my attribute view.
    Two issues --
    1. Maintain master data option is disabled in the context menu of 'Resource' Info-Object.
    2. Also the data available in attribute view is not populating in master data of info-Object ( I tried seeing by creating a report).
    Please suggest what is wrong here.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi,
    When you are loading data from DSO to IO, seems like some filtering is happening. Just check the active table of DSO and make sure that you have all the 59 records available.
    Another important thing is check the primary key of your master data i.e. if there is any compounding attribute if not then records from DSO might be getting overwritten in the master data. i.e. only 6 unique records.

  • Custom Attribute in OIM user Form is not populated.

    Hi Friends,
    I am new to this Identity Manager Technology. I really all ur support.
    I am using oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 version with JBoss server. The Target System is Sun One directory.
    1. I added the custom field street in Resource Object--Object Reconciliation Tab for Xellerate User and also for Iplanet Users objects.
    2. In Process definition, for iplanet user provisioning Process and Xellerate Users provisioning process, in Reconciliation Field Mappings. I mapped the street field to the UDF(street) and also for UD_iplanet_Street .
    3. When I run the task schedular for Iplanet User Recon, the string associated with the field in Iplanet is reflecting in resource profile of the user view/Edit. However, it is not populated in OIM User Form Field.
    Can you please help me in resolving the issue. I will provide any further needed information.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Manjula

    Thank you for your prompt reply.
    Yes. I tested it.. I can see the street field in the process form is populated with the string. However, I cannot see the same in the OIM User Profile Form. That Means, When I go to User folder in Admin and User Console, Manage Users and then select the user associated with the street field, the street field for the user is not populating and is empty without any string.
    Please clarify me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Manjula.
