Limitation in Chart Navigation or drilldown

I changed the column formule to include conditional navigation like
CASE WHEN MONTH("- Opportunity Custom Attributes".DATE_26)=1 THEN '{a href=/OnDemand/user/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=%2fusers%2fznac%23user%2fTestJan&Options=rfd&Action=Prompt}'||CAST(MONTH("- Opportunity Custom Attributes".DATE_26) AS CHAR)||'{a}' ELSE CAST(MONTH("- Opportunity Custom Attributes".DATE_26) AS CHAR) END and changed the data format as HTML it is working fine as expected in table but not in bar chart. also on axis it is showing {a href..} till the value not the month.
Also i tried using custom text
{@[HTML]}"{a href="/OnDemand/user/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=%2fusers%2fznac%23atripathi%2fTest@&Options=rfd&Action=Prompt"}"@"{/a}"
this also works fine in table view on column but not in chart
I need to have conditional navigation as per the column clicked as in based on month to different report.
Anyone encountered this? any resolutions?

Chart Navigation Javascript Error

Hey guys,
I have a problem trying to navigate from a chart which has a x-axis scale and a legend (means both of them are supposed to be sent to the navigated-to report).
My legend is in hebrew btw, so what BI usually does is convert it to hex and it works.
When i try to navigate without a legend (my x-axis scale contains numbers) it works, and also when I put the legend as the x-axis and remove my numbers scale (so that hebrew values are sent, but only when one value is sent).
My problem seems to be when trying to send to filters and the second filter is in hebrew, because clicking on different categories i get different errors, like:
"Expected '['"
"Unterminated string constant"
"Expected hexadecimal digit"
etc.
Does anyone know this problem? Is there a patch maybe?

our system administrators told me that a similar problem was encountered before by my client and they pointed me to a SAP note (Number 913065). I copy here an abstract of it:

When clicking on the TLN the following javascript error is thrown:
"gNavTree.children[...] is null or not an object"
This can occur in one of the following cases:
1. The first page after login contains a page with links. If one of the
links leads to a page in the PCD that is not part of any of the roles and
was clicked before clicking anything else in the TLN - the next time the
user will click on the TLN the js error will be thrown.
2. One of the pages in the portal contains a list of links that leads to an
invisible page after clicking on one of the links and then clicking on the
TLN, the above js error appear.

In fact, in our system the problem occurs with the very first link of the "Appraisals" workset we follow; if we go back and try another link, this new one doesn't present the problem.
Unfortunately, our page seems to be "part of a role", so I don't actually understand why the problem occurs.

Limitation of chart values

Dear folks,
We are having a problem with the chart limitation in Excel / Webi.
The limitation for values for a char in Excel ist 32767 values.
For us this is not enough because we have around 42000 values to display.
In Webi I belive the limitation might be around the same.
Does anyone have an Idea how we can achieve a workaround ??

We a reporting on 15 Minute Values in one Year.
The problem if we reduce the granularity the chart is worthless - cos the peaks must be visible.
This means on 1 Axis we have the values and on the other the time.
4x24x365 = 35040
(42000 wasnt correct )

Prompt constrain doesn't work with chart navigation

Hi,
i've following issue.
I've a dashboard page X with two prompts State and Country. Country is constrained to first prompt (i've checked "Constrain" check - box in prompt definition). In the same page i've a bar chart with navigation rule to a target dashboard page Y.
When i click on it, constrained prompt doesn't work, in fact it doesn't filter Countries depending first prompt but select All Countries.
Example:
Page X :
In prompt State i select "Italy"-> prompt Country is correctly constrained. In fact it shows correctly "Rome, Florence, Turin and so on
Click on bar chart (in chart properties setted navigation rule to page dashboard Y)
Page Y:
Prompt State is filled with "Italy" -> prompt Country isn't constrained. In fact it shows even states that don't belong to Italy State.
Why ?

i've substituted my filter definition with 'is prompted' and now it works. But i don't understand why. Can you explain how are correlated request filters (is prompted) and prompt values?

Field limitations - import chart of accounts

Hello All!
I have a client that has decided they would like to import their general ledger chart of accounts. They have decided on a segmented chart of accounts, with the first segment being 8 characters. In that segment they want to use a '.' in the number.
Example:
6114.000-01-00
Is it possible to import the decimal in the first segment of the account?

Hello Kathy,
The field is a nVarChar field. That means any character should be fine. However, I strongly discourage this practice since it is better to make the segment as short as possible with numeric values whenever you can.

Did you remember to turn off autoscaling? If not, it'll scale right back. Otherwise, you should have the correct property node.

How to generate control limits in control chart

I want to generate a X bar chart with control limits, sample size is Fix- 1.
SPC criterion I selected is 020 ie Task List characteristics/ Material.
1)Sampling Procedure I used- Fixed-1
2)Valuation mode I used- Attrib non conforming units/ manual.
3)Control chart I am using is 110- Shewart chart for X bar.
But when I click for control limits in chart it is saying control limits for track 1 could not be calculated.
Could anyone guide me, how to generate control limits for this graph. Sammple size will alwyas be 1.
Please let me know should I change control chart type in this case.

You should use valuation mode - SPC valuation in sampling procedure.
Also you have to use sampling procedure with inspection points.
as practically every hour or depending on the frequency decided we collect the measurements and calculate the SPC.
now after correction in the sampling procedure create new inspection lot and check SPC.
try out and revert.

Number of tables in Navigator limited to 10,000

the navigator only shows 10,000 tables after quering a ms sql-database. how can i navigate more than that?

I believe there may be a limitation in the navigator UI that doesn't allow paging over the results. Scrolling to the bottom will therefore not work. As a workaround, you can right-click on the database at the top of the navigator and click on "Edit".
This will show the navigator, which you can use to filter the result set to the database you wish to access and then "drill down" into it.

Drilldown on Chart

My report has detailed transaction data which is grouped and summarized by Month in GF1. I have selected HIde (Drill Down OK) for the details section. The user can drill down on any of the summary monthly data to see the details. All this works correctly.
I have also created an accompanying chart which shows the summary data by month. If I understand correctly, the chart also should be capable of drilldown. But no magnifying glass appears when I wave the cursor over the chart elements. Is there something I need to do to "connect" the chart to the drilldown capability?

Thanks for your response. I don't understand your suggestion. Perhaps I have not been clear about my objective:
My chart is located in the Report Header. The only content in the Details section is the actual transaction values for different job numbers. The Details section has been set at "Hide (Drill Down OK)". Summary monthly sales are in GF1. The user can doubleclick anything in GF1 and the Details for that month pops up in a separate tab - exactly as it should be. I also want the user to be able to doubleclick on the chart to get the same detailed drilldown in a separate tab.
Can you expand on your answer a bit?

In this example the data in the array-collection is hard-coded. My question is: How can I populate the chart with data by using variables? In my standard charts I have a Yfeild and Xfeild linked to variables, and the graph is generating the data that lies inside those variables. How can I do the same here? I did some trial and error for awhile, Didn't work so well.
If I'm not clear enough please ask questions. my flex knowledge is very scarce.

Thanks for the response. I made the modification however still had the issue. I was linking to a general report with a structure such as:
select col1, col2 from tab
when I added the "where" clause that resolved the issue.
Question:
My app still has a need for the general report on "tab" (ie select col1, col2 from tab). Is the Apex practice in this case to create 2 pages - one general and one for the drill down report?
Is there a way to have one report/page and have the "where" clause not used if entering via a drill down chart? Hope that make sense...

File not found when adding a link to another site collection on the navigation page

When I am adding a link to another site collection in the navigation page, I got the following error. Is there any limitation for the navigation setting? why can't we add a link to another site collection in the navigation page?

Navigation: stop automatic slide advancement with multiple click boxes

5.0 newbie question. I know I have a lot to learn about navigation before I develop another CBT, but I have done a beta test and found a situation I hadn't encountered before, so I am looking for help to get me past this with a band-aid until I can do this the right way later. I have read many issues about navigation and don't seem to see exactly what my issue is.
I am using the playbar for limited user self navigation, so all my slides have click boxes with "pause until the user clicks" properties. On some of my slides though, I have created pseudo-button like things via click boxes that popup email or browser windows (via Open URL). When I was testing these out, they worked as I hoped: opened the external window, but did NOT advance the slide. But I have come to realize that in my testing, I was always clicking on those buttons before the audio had completed and my testers are clicking on them AFTER the audio is complete. The behavior in the latter case causes the slide to advance (as well as correctly popup the external window). I don't want it to advance when the user selects that particular click box and they are not REQUIRED to click on that box, it is optional. It doesn't seem to matter how I set the properties, I get the same behavior. Suggestions O wise Captivate gurus?? ;^)

Control Chart Query

Dear Experts
As part of SAP QM Implementation we are implementing control chart functionality to get graphical representation against measured values for pre-defined parameters. I am facing two issues mainly:
1. When I try to calculate control limits (clicking calculator button) getting message "Control limits for track 1 could not be calculated". MICs has the upper limit and lower limit maintained which I can see in QAMV table for the inspection lots.
2. In the attached control chart , I am getting Upper Limit, Lower Limit and the Valuated Result in graphical form, when I try to display the inspection date, for the characteristics against inspection lot, I get lost. System is showing some date 7/14/14 against all the characteristics which I am not sure how to achieve.
Settings I made:
Sampling type: Fixed sample
Valuation mode: SPC inspection
W/O inspection point
Sample size: 5
Chart type:115 Shewhart chart for X bar/USA
MIC Settings:
Quantitative / Lower / Upper Sp. Limit / Sampling Procedure / SPC Characteristics / Summerised Recording / Required Char.
Inspection plan setting is:
SPC criterion : 020 task list char/material
Base qty : 1KG
Control Chart Configurations:
1. Control Chart Type -115
a) Change Control Limit not checked
b) Characteristics Type- Fixed Scope, Record measured values
c) Reference Axis (x-axis) - Time of Creation ( Do I need to change here to "Object Number" or "Time Of Inspection" ?)

For Control limits your chart needs to closed. and offcourse for calculation u need to have more than one inspection lot. then system will calculate the same. UD is also required against lots.

I am new to this forum and i got a question about the navigation for my nokia e63.
I bought the telephone and i saw it has navigation, but how do i access it? are there any maps installed?
Is it like a route66/ tomtom or what so ever?
What do i need to buy to get it working, i have serious no clue and i need some advice.

If you go to Applications, you should see an application called Maps. It is Nokia's own navigation software called Nokia Maps.
It is free to use it to show you where you are on the map. To use it for navigation with directions you will have to pay. Most Nokia phones come with a limited period trial navigation license. If you like it after the trial. you can purchase a license.

Linking Pie Chart & Table to Bubble Chart Values

Hi All,
I am new to Xcelsius and I have an issue with my drilldown.
I have a Combo Box and choose Plants from this and my Bubble Chart updates according to the value in combo box.
Now I want to hover over the 'bubble' and want a Pie Chart and Table to reflect the values from that bubble. The value in the Bubble is a total and I want the Pie Chart and Table to be splits of this total - eg. Total of 50 employees but want the Pie Chart and Table to reflect splits per team.
I know the Destination Values from the Bubble Chart should be in the Pie Chart and the Drilldown should be enabled. However, the values that I want to show in the Pie Chart are different eg. Bubble Chart will say 50 but in the Pie Chart I want to see 5 segments of 10 - 50. ie. the Total of 50 split into the appropriate 5 teams. How do I create this linkage/drilldown where it takes the 50 and when I hover over this bubble, the Pie Chart shows the team split by looking up a different set of data. Have tried adding this into the drilldown area in the Pie Chart, where the source data is the split and the destination data is another area to pick up this data.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

My scenario is :
In the Combo Box, you choose an Industry.
From each industry there are 4 values.
Industry      Employees     Int FTE     Ext FTE     Total FTE
Education     5000          5     8     13
Retail          40000          15     18     33 etc.
When I choose Education from the Combo Box, in the Bubble Chart I want to see a bubble for Education at the point of 5000 (X-axis) and 13 (Y-axis). This works fine.
I now want to hover over the Education u2018bubbleu2019 and the Pie Chart will show a split between Int FTE & Ext FTE u2013 ie. 5 & 8. I have added the relevant details to the drilldown and I still can't get this to work.
Also by hovering over the bubble, I want a table to change too, that shows a breakdown of what teams the Int FTE & Ext FTE is made up from and how many employees are in each team. This data is picked up from a different destination and I not sure how we link this to the data above.
