Line by line checking

Hi,
my program is running perfectly but it is giving just one digit different than the output which iam expecting .
i want to trace the program line by line , is their any command to trace a program like in " C".

Sure. The sdk comes with a command line debugger, jdb. Most IDEs (such a Eclipse, etc.) also provide debugger support, with the IDE as the user interface. JSwat is a stand alone graphical debugger.
Most debuggers have a learning curve associated, but are well worth the effort for serious debugging.

As per finance requirement, they need line to be checked by default in Match Receipt Window. Is there any option available?
I did personalization for selecting check box value to 'Y' and it is working. But that time it is not taking Qty Invoiced and Match Amount if I use personalization (I need to disable check and enable again to get value). Is there any standard option available? if not, how to fulfill this requirement?

Problem in Commitment line items & Budget check

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem in my system for Commitment line items & budget check.
I followed the below steps:
1. Created Project & structured the same.
2. Allocated the Budjet for WBS Elements.
3. Released the project.
4. The PRs are created for material and external services.
5. When I check in the report S_ALR_87013558 the commitments are not showing in the report.
6. After I performed the PO & GR (the PO value is more than the budget), still it is not producing any error message.
7. I have even consumed the material, for which the cost is more than the budget, still there is no error message from the system.
8 . I tried to perform transfer posting of the material from other plant or initial posting of the goods using 561 Q, at that time the system is producing the error message.
9. When I check the above report after GR & GI the actual line items are showing.
The problem is that why system is not creating the commitment line items.
In customization I have maintained as below:
1. Budget profile
2. Assigned the Budget profile to Project profile.
3. Maintained the tolerance limits for the controlling area and budget profile combination.
4. I have created the B/S G/L accounts as cost elements with category 90 (statistical).
5. AVAC for the WBS elements is active for the WBS elements
My doubt is:
Why system is not writing commitment line items?
Even after writing the Actual line items why the error message is not produced?
I am understanding that since the GR from PO is being done, probably this GR is not producing the error message as it is linked with the PO commitment. But at the time of GI the error message should be produced.
Can any one help me for solving this issue?
I tried searching the forum before posing, but couldnot get a relevant one.

Dear Nitin,
Yes I have checked it and the commitment management is active.
I also checked the table RPSCO table as well, there is no entried with the value key 21 or 22, the entires are available with 41 only for my project.
Also, I was maitaining the WBS element in a maintenance order. When I am trying to enter the materials in componenet tab, if the value is exceeding the budget value it is producing the error message.

Line Segment Intersection Checker

Hello all,
I am attempting to design a program that will take a set of n line segments and check which pairs of lines intersect. The lines are finite line segments, and they each have two end-points. I am supposed to be able to store a good amount of "Line Segments" into a data structure (Array, LinkedList, BinarySearchTree), etc. I am then supposed to be able to test each line segment against all of the other line segments that are read in in a text file in the format L1: (x,y),(x,y)
I figured out how to test whether or not two finite line segments intersect, that is not the problem. What I am concerned with is the method(s) I can use to read in all of the line segments and then output the intersecting pairs of line segments in the form (L1,L2) means Line segment 1 and Line segment 2 intersect.
I was thinking that reading the text file, I could just create an array with n slots that holds Line Segment objects (assuming I have created a Point class for keeping track of end-points), start with the first line segment in the array, and use the points from the first line segment's endpoints to all of the other line segment's endpoints in the array and check to see if they do intersect. Has anybody ever had to do something like this, and if so, what approach did you take to complete?

My firefox has decided to load in a line by line format, why?

My broser started loading in a line by line formay. I need to know what to do about this. This happens on most websites, but not all. Will not allow me on to the facebook site. sample below.

Reading a dataset line by line

I have a datset with header items and the remaining line items . I have managed to read the header in a structure with a single READ DATASET.... phrase . For the first line item i have again written the READ DATASET statement and managed to get the contents in an internal table of a different structure. How can i get the remaing line items of similar structure in an internal table using a loop???

You read the dataset by doing a DO loop, the system will know to read each line by line, when the READ fails, that means there is no more lines to read and the EXIT statement will make the program come out of the loop.
Do.
read dataset ds into xstr.
if sy-subrc <> 0.
exit.
endif.
* Here check which kind of line you have just read
* whether it is a header, or line item and append
* to the correct internal table.

How to display values and new char line (blank line)

Hi,
In database, one field contains values followed by new character lines (blank lines) after blank lines there is no values. Finally, I would say the field contains values and blank lines. Every thing is fine in database.
In Crystal Reports the field is displaying only values. Need to display values and blank line.
User is asking after values new character lines (blank line) to be shown. They enter like that in an application. The user doubt is why report is not showing what they enter in the application.
In detail explanation, front end tool is ASP.NET and backend is SQL Server.
User enter some values in note field, after that they hit enter button in the same field, cursor will go next line...user may hit u2018enter buttonu2019 more than 5 times. So note field contain values and some blank lines which are created by after hitting enter button.
If user opens the application, they could see values plus blank lines in the note field.
They are fine with the application.
In Crystal Reports, the note field shows only values.
User is questioning that why we could not see in report we enter.
I checked in .Net application and SQL server database it is fine. It is displaying values and blank line.
Please help me out how to display values followed by blank lines in Crystal Reports - the way they enter in the application.

I would like to explain again.
it is not exactly null values.
In .Net application it is called 'new char line'.
it shows those many lines look like null.
it is working fine in database.
Why it is not working in Crystal Reports? I am wondering...

User may enter any number of blank lines or they may not enter blank lines.
That is the reason I can not always give more height or blank text object.

Apparently this UDF takes two optional parameters so that one
can define
(A) a text "qualifier" to use in the CSV file, this is
usually the
single quote|tick ['] mark - but sometimes one wants this to
be a
different character and (B) what columns to use in the
output in case
one does not want to use all the columns in the record set
in the
outputted CSV file.
The if statements are checking for these optional parameters
and if
found setting the values in them to internal variables.
These
variables are then used in the rest of the logic to create
the CSV output.

Jumping from line to line

I'm using the random access file method to read from a file, my question is if there is a way to jump from line to line through the file? Using the fin.read and fin.seek functions, is there I check to see if it has reached the end of the line?
If it makes a difference, the file has 50 characters on each line with 9 lines

You can use the method readLine() of the class RandomAccessFile. Otherwise, this could work for ASCII characters (but not for Unicode characters in general).

I have a text file in application server which is formed line by line. Each line has variable length. How can i use the open dataset to put the data line by line to internal table??

How to read line by line in a file

i have a text file which contents is as below:

i need to read this file line by line to store them in Map which the key of Map is "ID". anybody knows how to read it line by line? pls?

Reading a text file line by line and splitting each line into an array

I have a text file that I want to read in line by line and within each line, I want to do some processing. I have a file like the following:
apples||oranges||bananas||grapes
cars||trucks||planes||boats
And I want to end up with an array such that
First...
item(0) = apples
item(1) = oranges
item(2) = bananas
item(3) = grapes
Then move onto the next line with item getting cleared each time. Can anyone offer any ideas on how do to this? I am unclear on reading line by line and then also splitting into an array as I am new to this.

For reading a text file in line by line, you want to use a FileReader (java.io.FileReader)
If you wrap it in a Buffered reader, you can call readLine() and get the file one line at a time.
File file = new File("C:\myFile.txt");
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
String s = in.readLine();
while (s != null){

s = in.readLine();
