Link radio button click to accordion 2nd tab

how do i link a radio button click to bring up the 2nd tab of
an accordion navagator?
is there/where can i find a guide for things like this?

Hi,
Not sure i understood the querstion but you could listen for
the change event of the radio button and use the eventHandler to
toggle between different indexes of the accordion, for example 1
for the 2nd tab

  • Open link with middle click to a new tab goes back to original page when selected

    Scenario:
    I am on a page (eg. a google search) and middle click a link to open it in a new TAB. The page opens in an adjacent TAB. I may or may not open other links in the same way.
    Problem:
    As soon as I select anyone of these new TABS it automatically jumps back one page history, eg. back to the google search page in this example.
    Comments:
    This was happening on my last PC and I have just got a new one. The problem was not there and now it seems to be back. Could it be a setting that is getting sync'd across from my online profile?

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

    Have any ideas that would work for this?

  • Textarea when Radio Button Clicked Yes

    I'm trying to add a textarea for a gift message if the users
    clicks the "Yes" radio button. The characters have to be limited to
    150. I'm not a programmer and know very, very, little coldfusion.
    The message in the textarea will be stored in a pre-existing DB
    column.
    Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    <input type="radio" name="giftMessage" value="1"
    onclick="textAreaShow('inline');" />Yes
    <input type="radio" name="giftMessage" value="0"
    onclick="textAreaShow('none');" />No
    <textarea name="giftMessageText"
    id="giftMessageText"></textarea>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function textAreaShow(onOff) {
    document.getElementById('giftMessageText').style.display =
    onoff;
    </script>
    for the text limit, that's a little tougher. textareas do not
    have the builtin maxlength attribute that text inputs have. there
    are javascripts you can use that will fire on the onkeyup event of
    the textarea counting the characters, but i personally don't care
    for those.
    i'd suggest on the submit action of the form, check the
    textarea.value length using JS and if it exceeds 150 characters,
    don't submit the form and alert the user. in addition, DEFINITELY
    check on the form's action page using CF to ensure that the length
    of the value passed is less than 150 (and if not, handle
    appropriately).

  • Change Button content when Radio button clicked...

    Within my BSP code I have an OnClientClick event against the Radio button tag.
    What I need to do is to have some kind of Javascript that changes the context (text) or colour of a button if the Radio button is clicked.
    I know very little of how to achieve this and would relish any guidance about how I can get this to work.
    I understand that I need to use a reference/handle to the button and change it's values via javascript, but how can I embed this code into my BSP code, what code do I use, and more importantly how can I obtain this reference/handle on the buttion?.

    Hi Jon,
    below an Example to do this

  • Displaying a field when radio button clicked

    I am new using Acrobat and JavaScript and am trying to create a form. I have a radio button called Rate with 2 values, Pay and Bill. I also have 2 text boxes, called Pay_Rate_Fillin and Bill_Rate_Fillin which are initially set up as hidden fields. I would like for the Pay_Rate-Fillin text box to be visible when Pay is select and hidden otherwise. Then if Bill is selected the Bill_Rate_Fillin text box is visible. I have tried many different scripts and I just can't seem to get this right.

    Place this code as Rate's custom calculation script:
    var rate = event.value;
    if (rate=="Pay") {
        this.getField("Pay_Rate_Fillin").display = display.visible;
        this.getField("Bill_Rate_Fillin").display = display.hidden;
    } else if (rate=="Bill") {
        this.getField("Pay_Rate_Fillin").display = display.hidden;
        this.getField("Bill_Rate_Fillin").display = display.visible;

  • Tab bar will not generate new tab if press+ - Links work- Right Button click 'open in new tab'

    Now working with 3.6.18 (I had v4, then v5 briefly), the tab bar 'failed' in v5 so I went back to v3.6.18, but the problem followed.
    No matter how many tabs are open I cannot get a new blank tab by clicking the "+" tab on tab bar.
    I CANNOT get a new tab by mousing over another tab, right button menu "new tab" will not work.
    I CAN select a bookmark "open in new tab" it works.
    I CAN do the same on a link, "open in new tab" it opens in a new tab.

    Didn't even know I had one, so I told it to display then went to the right hand end where a drop down menu offered "uninstall" and fired that , and again, and again, and again, the sticky little booger grinned back, but would not leave.
    Reminded me of early Windows days when Win would die and tell you, "I just lost all your work" "OK?"
    Going to look for a big hammer, it used to make me feel good to have the last FINAL word.

  • How do I make each Radio button appear in the tab order?

    When users tab through the form, the tab only highlights the first radio button of a group before moving to the next field or group of fields.
    Example: the user is asked for the following information:  LastName, Gender (M/F radio buttons), and BirthDate.
    When tabbing through the form, users are taken from from the LastName field to the Male radio button, to the Birthdate Field. Never does the tab allow them to select Female unless they click it with the mouse.
    It seems like this should be a simple fix, but I can't find it anywhere!
    Thanks for your help.

    That's the way they work. Think of a radio button group as a dropdown or list box. When any of these types of fields receives the focus, you can use the arrow keys to move through the options and the tab key moves to the next field.
    If you set up the group using check boxes instead, giving each in the group the same name but different export value, they will behave as you want. A group of checkboxes will behave a bit different than a group of radio buttons, but it's close.

  • Tab order of radio buttons skipping back

    I'm currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (trial for now) to mess around with forms. I am having a problem right now with the tab order. I believe the culprits are a few pairs of radio buttons I have set up sequentially. Each pair is in it's own group with one being "Y" and the other "N". After setting the tab order such that I can easily navigate the form in the specified order, I have found that when I reach the bottom of the first page (the same page in which my radio buttons are found), with the last object that I "tab" through being a text field, I am redirected back up to the radio buttons instead of proceeding to the next tabulated object located on the next page. When I first tab through the radio buttons, the default value I land on is the "Y" value, and when I am unexpectedly redirected there again, the default value I land on is the "N" value of the first radio button. If I tab through everything to the bottom of the page, I am once again redirected back up to the radio buttons. If I mouse click on the next field on page 2 and tab through, everything works fine including being able to move onto page 3 in the expected order. So what gives? Why would I keep getting redirected back up to the radio buttons at the end of tabulating through page 1? I have the radio button groups in the correct tab order, but I'm not sure how to fix this issue with the radio buttons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried looking online in multiple places for a solution, but haven't quite found one to this or anyone else who might have this same problem. If any further clarification is needed, please let me know. Thanks!

    Make sure the thenames for all items including Checkboxes and radio buttons are unique on each page if go to adjust ment for tab order you can drag them to the correct order.
    even though you may have placed them at a specific spot if you added then at a later place in the design (say as an after thought, hey I need to add this), their tab order is based on when they are added not the position the actual element is placed.
    In other words if the check boxes /radio buttons are the fourth item down position wise in document by they were the twentith item added  they will skipped over thad the other 19 in turn will be tabbed to the when 20th tab is hit they will bounce back up to the check boxes/ Radio buttons.
    Be sure they are titled button1 button1a, button 2 button 2a and so on or lese the will be marked all at the same time and may bounce back to the first position they were in.

  • How can I set a radio button to a be checked using an action script?

    Acobat X: I have two radio buttons called EnrollmentType with different values. "New Student" and "Returning Student". I need to set 160 forms to returning student, Please
    will this work?
    getField("EnrollmentType").value = "Returning Student"

    This is Adobe X Pro:
    Ok when I click the properties of the radio button. Both have the same
    "Enrollment type".
    But each has a different "Radio Button Choice" under the  Options TAB.
    It does work when I process the forms and save the data.
    The field "Enrollment type" contains either "New Student" or "Returning
    Student" depending on which option they picked.
    I am sending these forms back to the parents to edit any new/changed info
    and want it to have "Returning Student" checked since they are in fact
    returning and not new anymore.

  • Using an array to assign values to 36 radio buttons

    Okay, here's another doozy for y'all.
    As some of you know, I'm trying to create a character creation program for D&D. When we roll ability scores, we roll 3 sets of 6 rolls, rolling 4 six-sided dice, rerolling 1s and dropping the lowest number, then add the highest 3 rolled numbers together.
    Great! Got that part done!
    The next thing I'm having some issues with is transferring those numbers to radio button text property. What I have done is created a form that has the rolled values in listboxes so the user can see what was rolled. They can only choose one "set"
    of rolls, so each set of 6 rolls is in a separate listbox. I can get the values from the listbox to an array, but I can't figure out how to get the values from an array to the radio buttons on the next form in the program.
    The next form in the program has 6 group boxes, each labeled with a different ability score name (ie: Strength, Dexterity, etc.). Also in each group box are 6 radio buttons. Each radio button in each group box needs to have the same values. For example,
    the first listed radio button in each group box needs to have the first value listed in the list box on the previous page. The second listed radio button in each group box needs to have the second value listed in the list box, and so on. I want it
    to automatically load, but I'll settle for ANY load at the moment!
    The other thing is that I don't want to write 36 lines of code for each group box's radio buttons! I would like to be able to populate the values with a loop. So, the biggest question is how to create an array containing all 36 radio buttons, then assign
    my list box values to them according to their position in the multidimensional array.
    Here is a tidbit so you'll have an idea what I'm looking at.
    list box 1 has values 17, 18, 8, 12, 15, and 13. I want the radio buttons in each group box on the second form to be 17 for the 1st radio button, 18 for the 2nd radio button, 8 for the 3rd radio button, 12 for the 4th radio button, 15 for the 5th radio
    button, and 13 for the 6th radio button.
    Any ideas?

    The array of radio buttons:
    radGr1_1
    radGr1_2
    radGr1_3
    radGr1_4
    radGr1_5
    radGr1_6
    radGr2_1
    radGr2_2
    radGr2_3
    radGr2_4
    radGr2_5
    radGr2_6
    radGr3_1
    radGr3_2
    radGr3_3
    radGr3_4
    radGr3_5
    radGr3_6
    radGr4_1
    radGr4_2
    radGr4_3
    radGr4_4
    radGr4_5
    radGr4_6
    radGr5_1
    radGr5_2
    radGr5_3
    radGr5_4
    radGr5_5
    radGr5_6
    radGr6_1
    radGr6_2
    radGr6_3
    radGr6_4
    radGr6_5
    radGr6_6
    Those listed with “radGr1” are in the first group box labeled grpST, “radGr2” are in the second group box labeled grpDX, and so on (grpCN, grpIQ, grpWS, grpCH). What I want the code to do is change the labels of the radio buttons so that the text displayed
    in everything with a suffix of “_1” is filled with the first number in the selected listbox. For example, if I select the first list box, the other 2 are cleared and only the 6 numbers in the first one are used for the rest of the program. If those numbers
    are 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 11, then everything with _1 at the end should have “12”, everything with _2 should have “13”, and so on. What I don’t want to have to do is initialize 36 elements, then have 6 different selections for each group box. I tried to
    attach an image, but it wouldn’t let me…something about verifying my account or something…
    Can I suggest a different layout?  It seems like the status selection process is over-complicating the code... please consider this form layout:
    Once the user has selected the set of rolls they want you use, you can then just work with that single listbox.  The radio buttons let them select a particular stat and the listbox lets them select a value.  The "<-" button then assigns
    the selected value to the selected stat, and removes it from the listbox.  The "->" button clears the selected stat and returns the value to the listbox.  The code is something like:
    Public Class Form1
    Private Sub SetButton_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles SetButton.Click
    If ChosenRollsListBox.SelectedIndex > -1 Then
    Select Case True
    Case StrRadioButton.Checked
    If Not StrLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(StrLabel.Text)
    End If
    StrLabel.Text = ChosenRollsListBox.SelectedItem.ToString

    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.RemoveAt(ChosenRollsListBox.SelectedIndex)
    End Select
    End If
    End Sub
    Private Sub ClearButton_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles ClearButton.Click
    Select Case True
    Case StrRadioButton.Checked
    If Not StrLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(StrLabel.Text)
    StrLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    Case DexRadioButton.Checked
    If Not DexLabel.Text = "_" Then

    DexLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    Case ConRadioButton.Checked
    If Not ConLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(ConLabel.Text)
    ConLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    Case IntRadioButton.Checked
    If Not IntLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(IntLabel.Text)
    IntLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    Case WisRadioButton.Checked
    If Not WisLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(WisLabel.Text)
    WisLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    Case ChaRadioButton.Checked
    If Not ChaLabel.Text = "_" Then
    ChosenRollsListBox.Items.Add(ChaLabel.Text)
    ChaLabel.Text = "_"
    End If
    End Select
    End Sub
    End Class
    This may not suit your requirements but I thought it was at least worth considering an alternate design that would be much easier to implement.

  • Slow response time for radio buttons on Internet Explorer 7

    Hi,
    We're using ADF 11.1.1.4 on weblogic 10.3.4 on a Solaris 10 (sparc) platform. The architecture also uses OHS and Webcache 11.1.1.4.
    One of our applications has a webpage that is composed of several tabs, inside each tab we have some questions with radio buttons. When a client responds all questions on the first tab it moves to the second, where the application loads the necessary questions, based on the answers provided on the first tab. Once the client finishes answering this tab it moves to the third one and so on.
    The problem appears once the tabs are loaded. Each time the client clicks one of the radio buttons, Internet Explorer takes between 3 to 5 seconds to return control, and considering that a client might need to click dozens of radio buttons to complete a process, it becomes a very exhausting task. It's worth noting that the session information is persisted for each radio button, when we move between tabs all answers are kept even if we didn't saved the progress.
    On the other side, if we use Google Chrome 16, we find that the webpage returns control to the user almost inmediately, when clicking the radio buttons the response time is usually at 1 second or less.
    We've checked that the app server is not stressed, heap memory is nowhere near the maximum assigned and the used processor % is very low, so it does not seems to be a resource problem.
    Is there any known issue with ADF 11.1.1.4 and IE7/8 that affects the browser's response time? Are there any guidelines or recommendations regarding how to make the radio button component work properly? Has anybody noticed this behavior in adf?
    Thanks.

    I think that the most accurate description of the problem is that the autosubmit action of the radio button takes considerably longer in IE7 than in Chrome.

  • Link to move to specific accordion panel AND open this panel.

    hi
    would like to create a list of links at the top of a page,
    the accordion is at the bottom.
    i would like to be able to click on a link, that will then
    move to the appropriate accordion panel (have been able to do this
    by adding ID's to each panel.) BUT i would also like the panel to
    open as well. at the moment when you click on the link at the top
    of the page, you move to the appropriate panel, but then have to
    click on the panel to open.
    any way to get both actions with the one link?
    thanks!
    example is here, list of links on the right, accordion at the
    bottom.

    last night. however the situation that i am in is that the links
    are further away from the accordion. The code you linked functions
    properly, as it opens the correct tabs, but the user does not see
    the tab opening (as the accordion is much further down the page!)
    what im after is a link that when clicked, opens the correct
    tab (as the link you sent does) BUT ALSO moves the page to show the
    accordion and the (now) open tab.
    i linked to my example site in an earlier post.
    hope this is explained clearly enough!
    thanks!
