Link the data between 2 blocks!!!

Oracle Gurus,
I have a control Text item, which gets value from an LOV in Block 1. when I select a value, in another block the corresponding records in the table a has to be populated. how can I achieve this.
Also How can I handle this if the control item is a list item? I mean How I see the values, when I click the list item at run time. and also how this selection will populate the Block 2?
This may be basic, but I am new to forms.
Please let me know.

EXECUTE_QUERY;
In Pre-Query of BLOCK_TO_POPULATE
:BLOCK_TO_POPULATE.item=value_of_list_item;

There are basically three ways to go:
1) Get compatible software. Microsoft iSCSI target cannot do what you want out-of-box but good news third-party software (there are even free versions with a set of limitations) can do what you want. See:

All of them do basically the same: mirror set of LUs between Windows hosts to emulate a high performance and fault tolerant virtual SAN. All of them do this in active-active mode (all nodes handle I/O) and at least StarWind and DataCore have sophisticated
distributed cache implementations (RAM and flash).
2) Get incompatible software (MSFT iSCSI target) and run it in generic Windows cluster. That would require you to have CSV so physical shared storage (FC or SAS, iSCSI obviously has zero sense as you can feed THAT iSCSI target directly to your block storage
consumers). This is doable and is supported by MSFS but has numerous drawbacks. First of all it's SLOW as a) MSFT target does no caching and even does not use file system cache (at all, VHDX it uses as a containers are opened and I/O-ed in a "pass-thru" mode)
b) it's only active-passive (one node will handle I/O @ a time with other one just doing nothing in standby mode) and c) long I/O route (iSCSI initiator -> MSFT iSCSI target -> clustered block back end). For reference see:

3) Re-think what you do. Except iSCSI target from MSFT you can use newer technologies like SoFS (obviously faster but requires a set of a dedicated servers) or just a shared VHDX if you have a fault tolerant SAS or FC back end and want to spawn a guest VM

With Windows Server 2012 R2 release virtual FC and clustered MSFT target are both really deprecated features as shared VHDX is both faster and easier to setup and use if you have FC or SAS block back end and need to have guest VM cluster.

Well, you say xy graph, so this might be a more complicated problem.
For a waveform graph it's trivial. Simply get the two cursor indices (property: cursor index) and apply them to array subset of the data. Is that all you need?
Here's how the above code would look like. using cursor.index instead of cursor.x elimnates the need to include scaling information.
For an xy graph, there could be multiple segments (e.g. imagine a spiral that passes the desired x range multiple times from both sides). This would neeed significantly more code for a general solution.

Hello,
You must know what is the infoprovider source of the data shown in the report.
Once you know it, check the content filtering by same restrictions as in the mismatch report. Now you have the data in BW.
Then you have to know the proper transation or table in R/3, from where the extractor retrieves the data to populate the infoprovider; make same restrictions and compare it with data in BW.

According to your description, it seems that the output needn’t include the row when EmpID=2. Because the DateTime for it in Table1 doesn’t included between FromDate column and ToDate column. After testing the issue in my environment, we can refer to the
query like below to achieve your requirement:

In a 6i form cursor I need to select all the dates between two provided dates. I have two text fields FLD1 and FLd2 with date datatype. There is no table behind both the fields.

How to share the data between two or more frames based on the database relationship in JDeveloper?

You can pass data between frames by passing it as parameters.
That is when you are invoking another frame, pass your data as arguments through the constructor to that frame .
You can also achieve this through static or public methods, but static variables as we know is not suggested which might occupy more memory space.

To me (IMHO) your problem is
- excel spreadsheet is not on webserver
- database is a better repository for
storing/updating/displaying data
If people need the data in a spreadsheet from time to time,

(from database) could be formatted in a query and exported to
a local
machine where a csv file could be imported into Excel.

I'm not sure what you want to achieve here...
I want to synchronize both the Servers , so that it can update HO servers as well as Factory Server with the complete data. Could you please elaborate a little bit more; basing on your description I could also tell you how to setup timesync for those two servers if I understand "complete data" as the current date and time...
Also a lot of solutions are platform and version specific so it would help if you could indicate OS and Database Versions (4 digit).
And I still fail to see what this has to do with forms. You might want to post your question to the Database General forum: General Database Discussions

How to Swap the Data between 2 characteristics using FOX Code

Dear All,
We have a requirement to swap the data between 2 characteristics. I tried to get the data from one characteristics using BPS variable VARV() and another characteristic need to get from craters data. But using OBJV() function it is not working for that.
If i try to swap the data between characteristics directly, they are not allowing. It says Type is not same, though it is same type as per properties wise.
Could anybody let me know is it possible to change the characteristics data between characteristics by moving between each other in FOX Formulas. General case it is possible to change the data between same chars.

i have two database database 1 and database 2 the both database have table citizen(citizen_ssn, citizen_name ) with the same structure
ok ,
and i create database link from database 1 to database 2 (link name : link1 )
and i create another link fro database 2 to database 1 (link name :link2 )
i want to synchronize data between the two tables
in other word i want when new record add to database1 go to database2 and check if that recrod exist(use citizen_ssn) or not if it exist then add the record only in database1
if not add the record in database1 and database2,
and if there is record inserted in database 2 i will go to database1 and check if it exist if it exist add the record in database2 if not add it in database1 and database2
can i do that in real time or not .

after insert in database 1 go to database 2 and then the befor insert trigger will fire
and check if the citizenssn is in the table or not
if not then insert the record
and the trigger in database 2 after insert will fire and go to batabase 1 to insert the same record and in database 1 the befor insert trigger will fire and so on
the same infinity loop

To get the dates between a month

i'm working in forms 6i and database 10g.
i have a table named attendance which contains only the dates on which the employees are present.
i need the dates on which the employees are absent when i give the date range.
So how will I get the other days in a month if I give the start and end date of a month.
I think u understood what I mean.

Look at classes Calendar and SimpleDateFormat.
And get your abstraction straight: you don't have two dates. You have two Strings that represent a date. To use them, you have to convert them to Date objects first with SDF.
