Hello,
When we create a new original in our Document info record, it is stored on a content server.
Does anyone know, how I can retrieve the link to the original?

I have found the function module and the result was indeed an URL
When I copy the URL in my internet brower, I receive an undefined file format instead of my original (for example word file). Do I have to convert something first before I can open my original directly from the URL?

Combined PDF's and created links to original PDF's

Combined multiple PDF's from several individuals into on E-book. I also create a table of contents with links to original PDF's within the combined document. Problem is that each link opens in a different magnification. Page 1 is 100%, 1st link 93%, 5 link 56%, etc. Is it possible to have all pages open with the same magnification? (i.e. all open @ 100%).

If the combined PDFs are within a single PDF file —
Use the Link Action "Go to a page view".
As the Create Go to View dialog states:
"Use the scrollbars, mouse, and zoom tools to select the target view..."
During this activity you can establish the desired zoom (page magnification of 100%).
Once the activity is complete, click the Set Link button.

Create return but linked to original sales order where the material was delivered in the first instance

Hi Everyone
I want to create return but linked to original sales order where the material was delivered in the first instance, I don’t want to create other sales order (to return) with references to the original, and then other sales order to be delivered again (replacement).
Example
SALES
1. Create a sales order number 33 with 10 Ton
2. The delivery is linked to sales order 33 just with 8 Ton
3. Invoice is created linked to the delivery with 8 Ton
4. Sales order number 10 pending qty is 2 Ton
RETURN
5. We would like to link the return delivery to the sales order, 5 Tons will be retuned
6. Credit memo is created
7. Sales order number 10 pending qty update to 7 Ton

The only way is to change the item categories in the delivery.
Create the delivery wrt the original sales order.
Change the item category(In the config make sure the return is checked)- But I think you need to do some changes in the user exit to enable the item category in the delivery)..
The other option is to have a return order document(type RE) and then create the return delivery for this document. In the copy controls you can maintain the return item categories while creating the return order from sales order..

How to combine PDFs into a single PDF and preserve links between original PDFs within single PDF

Acrobat Pro can combine multiple PDF files into one PDF file.
However, during this process not all links are supported.
Links within the individual PDF files that are combined seem to work in the single resulting PDF file.
Links that were between the individual PDF files when combined do not seem to work in the single resulting PDF file.
Combining the PDF files should support the links that were btween the original individual PDF files in the resulting single PDF file.
How can this be done?

Jpeg link to original raw files bridge or lightroom?

I have recently exported jpegs and given them to a librarian to add metadata. He used Bridge to add the metadata to the jpegs. Is there a simple way to give him the original raw files and they will automatically link together?
The filenames have been changed. I am hoping there is a residual filename in the metadata.

Not that I know of. And with a new name it is a new file.
There will only be old name if he did batch rename and had the box check to preserve current file name.

In version 3.6 I can not open a website link from original page, I keep getting a new window that is blank and asking me to put in a web address. What has changed with the new version?

When on a page if I click on a web link I get a new window that is blank and asks me enter a web address. This started happening with the new 3.6 version. It seems to have something to do with what I choose for the location in my privacy settings as the window changes with each setting but I still cannot get to the new site. Any ideas? I have no problem with this in IE and I have to keep opening IE when I encounter the problem on Firefox which is annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Can sequences be re-linked to original resources when importing another version of the same project?

When editing a large event project, I usually set it up and sync cameras/audio into multicam sequences. My current project is of a kickboxing event so 3 of us will take say 5 fights each to edit on different machines. While importing the other guys work into my project works great, I'd love it to not show duplicate resources (bins/clips/sequences etc). You can see what I mean in the below image. Any way to relink to my original file/folder hierarchy?
I know I could go into each multicam source sequence and right-click a clip and Reveal in Project, then right-click in project pane to Replace Footage but doing it that way 3 times to over 200 assets would be mind numbing haha.

I'm not aware of a way to merge mailboxes from one Mac to another but regarding the import feature, the mailboxes do appear grayed out but select Choose anyway and the mailboxes within the chosen folder will be made available for import at the next prompt.
Regarding the directories, IMO it is better to manipulate the mailboxes using the Finder with the Mail.app quit before doing so.
After using the Import Mailboxes feature and importing the selected mailboxes, quit Mail first and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes. The Imported mailboxes (xxxxxx.mbox files) will be located within an Import folder.
For all mailboxes to appear at the first level within the mailboxes drawer, each xxxxxx.mbox file must be at the first level within the Mailboxes folder. You can nest a mailbox within a folder that does not contain any messages.
For example, you can create a folder at the first level within the Mailboxes folder named Business and place business related xxxxxx.mbox files within the Business folder.
When launching Mail, there will be a Business folder in the mailboxes drawer that is colored white and within, each mailbox that contains messages will be colored blue.
If he wants to transfer all messages from one mailbox to another and then delete the empty mailbox, transferring messages from one mailbox to another must be done from within Mail.

We have an action that is triggered upon setting the status of the order document as complete. We have a survey created and have 'hardcoded' the survey URL in this smartform. We are currently getting responses and we see the data within the CRM_SURVEY_SUITE display.
Now i am in a process of fetching those results answered by the customer in the given questionaire and display it in my CRM report.
As this is really urgent, would appreciate and be thankful to you, if you could provide me ur valuable suggestions to going ahead.
Please help me how to retrieve those results and display in my report.

CRM survey - link to originating document.

Our scenario is:
Upon marking an activity document within CRM as complete, we want to send a completion notification to the customer along with a URL that links to the survey to collect feedback on the service. The scenario is for the IT department wanting to monitor it's performance and the customers are internal employees.
We have an action that is triggered upon marking the activity document as complete. We have a survey created and have 'hardcoded' the survey URL in this smartform. We are currently getting responses and we see the data within the CRM_SURVEY_SUITE display.
We now want to move on to the next step i.e. tying the response back to the activity document for which the response is received. I read about how an MIG can be used but am still a little confused.
Can you offer some suggestions?

Creating a single pdf from multiple pdfs - linking to original pdfs

I have been asked to create a PDF document from other, smaller PDFs. The individual PDFs, which I am using to create the larger PDF, are maintained on a shared network drive. I am using Acrobat Pro XI and dragging the files onto the thumbnail navigation pane and creating bookmarks. The result is to be a navigatable document with a table of contents. My problem is that the individual files from the network drive will change. Ideally, I would like the large document I am creating to update automaticaly when the individual files are changed. Does anyone know of a tool I can use to link in this way? I have Tech Comm Suite 4.

Iframe help-open links around original iframe in same window

I have been able to make a flash nav menu using iframes.
I have a separate page for the menu, and the iframe goes to that menu page. I have an html snippet on each page that uses the iframe to access that menu page.
Here is the code being used:

Here is the problem, the menu flashes each time a link is clicked on, what I would like to do, is leave the iframe menu in place, and have the links open up around the iframe menu in the same window.
Thus is would look like the nav menu never moves and pages open up around it.
Is this even possible?

Import PCB Designs into Ultiboard and link to original Multisim design.

I am trying to work with a third party, who is doing the PCB layout. I have a board design in Multisim which I export the netlist to them for Protel. How can I bring the completed design back into Ultiboard? dxf files do not seem to contain all of the component information. I have tried dxf and .pcb files from them and none seem to come close. Thanks.

Hi Martin,
In Ultiboard, select File>>Open and where you see All support files click the down arrow, there is an option to open Protel file. I should warn you, the last time I looked at this, there were many hidden issues such some via not properly connecting to a trace and this only happen with a few via, and there were other issues that don't recall right now. If your design is complex, importing a Protel file is very dangerous.
DXF was intended for importing board outline and logo. Data inside a DXF contains only shapes, it doesn't have netlist, pad information, clearance etc... So importing a complete design is not useful.
My recommendation is to redo the design.
