Linking objects between WorkShop 4.2 and 5.0

We are currently using WorkShop 4.2 on our Solaris 2.6 machine, but planning to upgrade to WorkShop 5.0. We have many 3rd party libraries compiled by WorkShop 4.2 and no new version is available. Can we build our binaries using some objects built by 4.2 compiler and some from 5.0 compiler ?

I have the same problem, and it looks like it doesn't work. Check out http://docs.sun.com/ab2/coll.32.5/CPPMIGRATE/@Ab2PageView/1210?Ab2Lang=C&Ab2Enc=iso-8859-1.
in short:
Mixing Old and New Binaries
It is an overstatement to say that object files and libraries compiled by the 4.2 compiler cannot be linked with object files and libraries compiled by the 5.0 compiler. The statement is true whenever the files and libraries present a C++ interface.

I am trying to link coc between a new ipod and my iPad. The iPad was the old device. I did as I was supposed to by logging in the Game Center, then opening coc, and went thru the tutorial. The Game Center keeps trying to load the new village on my iPad and not the other way around. It basically is trying to make my old village the new village, meaning I lose a lot of progress. How do make it combine the 2? If I cannot, is there a way to remove the new village off the Game Center and add the one I want to be saved? Thank you.

  • DB link problem between active Data Guard and report application database

My database version in 11.2.0.2.0 and OS is Oracle Solaris 10 9/10.
I am facing a problem in my Active data guard Database for reporting purpose. Active Data guard information is as below.
    SQL> select name, database_role, open_mode from v$database;
    NAME DATABASE_ROLE OPEN_MODE
ORCL PHYSICAL STANDBY READ ONLY WITH APPLY
    Problem detail is below
I have created a db link (Name: DATADB_LINK) between active data guard and report application database for reporting purpose.
    SQL> create database link DATADB_LINK connect to HR identified by hr using 'DRFUNPD';
    Database link created.
But when I run a query using db link from my report application database I got this below error.
ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number 10 with name "_SYSSMU10_4261549777$" too small
    ORA-02063: preceding line from DATADB_LINK
Then I check Active Data Guard database alart log file and get below error
ORA-01555 caused by SQL statement below (SQL ID: 11yj3pucjguc8, Query Duration=1 sec, SCN: 0x0000.07c708c3):SELECT "A2"."BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_REFERENCE","A2"."BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_CODE",MAX(CASE "A1"."TRANS_DATA_KEY" WHEN 'feature' THEN "A1"."TRANS_DATA_VALUE" END ),MAX(CASE "A1"."TRANS_DATA_KEY" WHEN 'otherFeature' THEN "A1"."TRANS_DATA_VALUE" END )
But the interesting point if I run the report query directly in Active Data Guard database, I never got error.
So is it a problem of DB link between active Data Guard and other database?

  • Link FC between Nexus 5548 UP and Brocade 300

    Hello,
I have got two Nexus 5548UP and fabric Brocade.
I would like to connect my Nexus at my fabric Brocade.
    See the pdf file.
    Best regards,

Its possible to have more links between npv and brocade but if you want to port channel them, please check first with brocade support if they allow F port channel trunking in their code. Not sure if FOS 6.2.2 supports it. From our side (cisco switch running npv) we should be able to do a port channel upto any NPIV switch provided the upstream switch supports it.

  • Memory leak issue with link server between SQL Server 2012 and Oracle

    Hi,
We are trying to use the linked server feature with SQL Server 2012 to connect SQL server and Oracle database. We are concerned about the existing memory leak issue.  For more context please refer to the link.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/psssql/archive/2009/09/22/if-you-use-linked-server-queries-you-need-to-read-this.aspx
The above link talks about the issues with SQL Server versions 2005 and 2008, not sure if this is still the case in 2012.  I could not find any article that talks about if this issue was fixed by Microsoft in later version.
We know that SQL Server process crashes because of the third-party linked server provider which is loaded inside SQL Server process. If the third-party linked server provider is enabled together with the
Allow inprocess option, the SQL Server process crashes when this third-party linked server experiences internal problems.
We wanted to know if this fixed in SQL Server 2012 ?

So your question is more of a information type or are you really facing OOM issue.
There can be two things for OOM
    1. There is bug in SQL Server which is causing the issue which might be fixed in 2012
    2. The Linked server provider used to connect to Oracle is not upto date and some patch is missing or more recent version is to be used.  Did you made sure that you are using latest version.
What is Oracle version you are trying to connect(9i,10g, R2...)

    Hi Gordon,
Thanks for the info. Another idea: How about ..
    - adding the item on a new line with the open qty and the correct date
    - simply closing the partially posted line with the open qty (is that ok from the DB view?)
Any doubt that this could work as intended?
    Thanks

  • What is the relation between object work area (EH&S) and Work Center (PP)

    Hi gurus,
I have a conceptual doubt, about the relation when I clasify like work center an object WA of IHS and how this feature is asociated at object work center of module PP?
    Conceptually is the same?
    Thank and Best regards

    Hello Hernan
the Work Area is defined as: take a look here
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/1f/ea8e69e09311d3b5700004ac160be0/content.htm
Therefore there is a link available between work area, plant and cost center.
Work Center is defined as: take a look here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/b1/c03424439a11d189410000e829fbbd/content.htm
Work centers are business objects that can represent the following real work centers, for example:
    Machines, machine groups
    Production lines
    Assembly work centers
    Employees, groups of employees
To my knowledge there is no "direct" link between these objects.
Further on on the level of the Work Area (to my knowledge) you define: which employee etc. is linked  to the work area ((is working in the work area).
So to my knowledge there are a number of "indirect" links between both objects but no direct link
    With best regards
    C.B.

    Please help...
I want to configure the linked server between 64-bit SQL2000 and Oracle7.3.4.
The specification of our system are like below...
    - New Server : Itanium2 Server, Win2003 Datacenter edition, 64-bit SQL2000
    - Existing Server : UNIX, Oracle7.3.4 DB
    ...and, I have
    patch#3501955: Oracle RDBMS patchset 9.2.0.5.0
patch#3836425: 9.2.0.5 patch #4 on top of Oracle RDBMS 9.2.0.5.0
patch#3262468: Oracle Provider for OLE DB patchset 9.2.0.4.0 .
How can I solve this problem...
    Show me the way, please...
    Thank you.

The Oracle 9.2 client is not certified to connect to a 7.3.4 database. The latest version of the Oracle client you could use would be 9.0.1.

  • BP change documents ( linking problem between Object id and Business Partner)

    Hi,
We need to create a report for documents changed for a Business partner.
This will be done in sap bw.
on source side I have created the datasource with function module changedocument_read and I am getting most of the information
which I want. Only missing part is Business Partner number.
Can somebody suggest , how I would be able to link Object Id to business partner.
I need to pull everything that is changed at BP level and the Object class selection around 30 in number.
So I am looking for any standard function module which can provide me the link between Object id and Business partner.
If I establish the rules to determine the Business partner from Object id , its getting bit difficult.
    Can somebody please help/suggest.
I have gone through many documents and scn posts but unable to find anything on this.
    Thanks !

Hi, looking at the change history header table CDHDR it seems that object ID simple equals the internal format of the business partner number.

  • Smart Objects between Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver while managing the version in Vesion Cu

Ok, so the title of this post sounds confusing. First off, I created a graphic in Illustrator CS3. It is to be used on a web page created in Dreamweaver CS3. I want to be able to streamline the editing process by using the Smart Object linking feature between Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS3.
Obviously, the problem is, I cannot link the Photoshop source to Dreamweaver because the source is not a Photoshop file, it is in Illustrator. The obvious solution to that is to export the Illustrator file as a Photoshop file. The problem with that is, I want to maintain the source in Illustrator and make edits in Illustrator.
So, my solution was to place the Illustrator file in Photoshop and make the Illustrator file a Smart Object in Photoshop. Then link that Photoshop file to the Dreamweaver page. So, basically, Photoshop is just the link between Dreamweaver and Illustrator. It works well! I click the little edit button in Dreamweaver abd it calls up the file in Photoshop. Then I double-click on the Smart Object layer in Photoshop and the source comes up in Illuistrator.
Now, here is the problem. To add to the confusion, I maintain versioning in Version Cue. So whenever I change the Illustrator file, I check it in to Version Cue. The Illustrator file I linked to in Photoshop is the local file on my computer. This file is syncronized with the version of the file that gets uploaded to Version Cue. This may sound complicated, but to see how I did it is pretty straight forward.
My assumption was, when I double clicked on the Smart Object layer in Photoshop, I would get the local copy of the Illustrator file to edit. But, that wasn't the case. Problem is, I got a temp file of the Illustrator graphic and NOT the original source file I linked to in Photoshop.
I can still edit the temp file and have those changes automatically made in Photoshop and then update the image in Dreamweaver. BUT, when I got to check in the new edits of the Illustrator file to Version Cue, it wants to create a new file and not rev-up to the new version of the original file. That's because the file I'm checking in is NOT the original file, it is a temp file.
Does anyone else use a workflow like this? If so, how do you do it?

Ok, so far I have come up with this solution. Usually after editing the Illustrator file I would check it in. But, as mentioned, I can't just do that because the file I'm editing is the temp file and not the original file syncronized with Version Cue.
So, instead of using Check-In when I'm done, I can use Save As... I can then overwrite my local file that is syncronized with Version Cue. That will save the new file as the correct name and automatically check it into Version Cue as the next version of the correct file.

  • Delete link between a DMS document and a change number

Hi. I've associated several DMS documents to a change number, using CC02 transaction. Now I'm trying to delete these links. I can neither delete them nor delete change number. I've marked "Deletion indicator", but I don't know how I have to continue.
    Best regards, Iván.

    Hi Iván,
please use report MCDOKDEL: This report is used to delete the Documents which are marked for deletion.
To delete the linkage between change number and object link, please go to CC02 and select button "Objects". Here you can see all linked objects to this change number. Select tab "Documents" and mark the document for which you want to delete the link. Afterwards please press the delete button. Then the linkage to this document should be deleted.
Regarding object link problems please see also the following SAP notes:
    880077
    885977 and

Hope this information will help you.
    Best regards,
