Linking Requisition to Corresponding PO

I have created an approved PO programmatically by populating PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE, PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE and then called Import Standard Purchase Order concurrent program. However I am unable to link the Requisition (for DROP SHIP case) corresponding to the PO.
I have tried populating the requisition_line_id, req_distribution_id etc., in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE, the Requisition details are reflected in the PO Screen, However there is no Drop Ship tab, in Shipments of PO Screen.

The only Link between PR and PO in oracle is using autocreate functionality.
Even if you have created a PO in oracle and try to link to an existing PR it is not possible
In your case You are brining the PO from thrid party to oracle and trying to link to an exisitng PR in oracle is not possible
There are couple of notes on this in Metalink. You can view the same

Thanks for your reply. Actually i am trying to generate WSDL URLs for each service operation for Travel & Expense module like create expense, update expense etc.
URL generated looks like this : http://xxx.xx.xxx.xx:8011/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector/HX_TE_EXPENSE_CLAIM.16.wsdl - this url is meant for CREATE operation. But for the UPDATE operation i am getting the same URL . Normally, Whenever i create WSDL URL for different operation the numeric part of the above URL changes like 16, 17 etc ..based on the service operation but no two operation have same URL like i am getting now. Please provide your knowledge on this issue.

AR Downpayment Request To Be Linked With The Corresponding AR Invoice

Dear All,
I created a sales order of amount 100000. Based On this Sales Order I created AR Downpayment Request of 100% amount i.e 100000. Now I Opened the Incoming Payments Screen , selected the AR Downpayment Request and received the payment of 100000 against It. Later On I created the AR Invoice Based On the Sales Order.
Now My Problem is I can not reconcile the Payment Received against DP request with the AR Invoice. Is this any missing functionality or What|? When I goto into Internal BP Reconciliation , select the customer, then select the Payment received against the DP Request and the Invoice and add, It gives a messege of ''"Payment Transaction Applied to Downpayment request can not be reconciled here"

Hi Amol,
I recommend you to create Journal Entry for reconcile after input AR Invoice.
For example;
1) Input AR Downpayment Request
no Journel Entry
2) Input Incoming payment
Cash $100 / Advance AR $100
3) Input AR Invoice
AR $100 / Sales Revenue $100
4) Input Journal Entry <== you need it
Advance AR $100 / AR $100
5) Reconciliation
for each Advance AR account, AR account

HTML links from Full Check Accessibility report do not open the corresponding PDF links

I regularly generate full Check accessibility reports for the PDF user guides I create in MSWord. However, when I click the links in the HTML file/report generated, they are supposed to link/highlight the corresponding errors in the PDf file. Instead, I get an error message that "There was an error opening this document. Bad parameters."
How can I get the links to work so I know which section in my PDF has the error (inaccessible items).

I understand you are creating HTML reports and then using them to find errors/view the PDFs.
Is this a new problem or have you always had problems with the links? If it's a new problem, what has changed on your system?
Can you view other PDFs in your browser?
Have you moved any of the files since you created the report -- as you may know the HTML report references a specific lcoation on your hard drive and if you moved the PDF after creating the report, it may not be able to find the file.

How do I format a linked Excel file in InDesign and maintain formatting when the Excel is modified?

I'm in CS5.5 . I have no problem placing an Excel spreadsheet with the cell range I want and applying cell formatting in InDesign. I am trying to build eight similar documents that will pull data in several tables from a document specific Excel spreadsheet. The only difference is the data itself. I want to build one master InDesign document (master.indd) that links to a corresponding master Excel file (master.xlsx). I'll then do all the table formatting in master.indd once before saving as the eight individual files I need (doc1.indd, doc2.indx, etc.). Soon I'll receive the specific Excel files (doc1.xlxs, doc2.xlsx, doc3.xlxs, etc.) and I will open each InDesign file and relink master.xlxs to the appropriately numbered and corresponding Excel spreadsheet.
My problem is all the formatting of the imported tables is stripped away when I relink. There are at least 60 tables being imported. I'd prefer to format 60 tables versus 480. I've tried importing the Excel as formatted, unformatted, I've applied cell styles in Excel and InDesign but can't catch a break. Can anyone help?

Or alternatively, do all the formatting in Excel and place as a formatted table.

In ECC 6.0, can I link a CTS project id to a specific transport target group?
I configured two IMG projects, namely, Phase1 and Phase2. In SPRO, I tied them to CTS project ids, DEV_P00001 and DEV_P00002, respectively. In STMS, I configured two transport target groups called /PHASE1/ and /PHASE2/ that I want to link with the corresponding project ids. The intention is that Phase1 transports will go to the clients specified in the /PHASE1/ target group and that Phase2 transports will go to the clients specified in the /PHASE2/ target group
I want to link the CTS project ids to the respective transport target groups so that (e.g.) if a team member creates a transport in SE01/SE09/SE10 and chooses the DEV_P00001 project id from the Project dropdown, then /PHASE1/ will appear as the default transport target. Likewise, if the team member instead chooses the CTS project id DEV_P00002, then /PHASE2/ will appear as the default transport target.
Right now, the user has to remember to choose the correct combination of CTS project id/transport target group.
Solution Manager is NOT involved in this scenario.
Does anyone know of a way to do this in ECC 6.0?

Try this it worked for me though,
1. Goto SPRO_ADMIN
2. Select the Project
3. Choose Change
4. Go To Transport Requests TAB
5. Activate CTS Functionality
6. Save it after the Pop Up
7. Go to Se10 and check if the Project Field is getting Populated with the Desired Project or not.

Following an inadvertant folder move the slides in a slideshow are not now linked to the corresponding narrative sound files. Can the link be re-eastablished and if so how?

View Link w/ Transient View Objects

I'm trying to create 2 view objects that contain only transient attributes and create a view link between them. I have a key defined in the parent and 2 keys in the child. When I create the view link I'm unable to generate the accessor in the source because the boxes are all grey'd out. The destination side works correctly.
Is there any reason this shouldn't be possibly in BC4J? I've been scouring the documentation and so far I haven't found any mention that a view link will not work in this situation.

A view link builds its corresponding where clause based on the selected attributes. On the source side, the attributes are used as parameters to the query, so transient attributes are fine. Attributes on the dest side get built into a where clause which would not work with transient attributes, so they are disabled.
for example:
select * from blah where (%1 == destVo.attr1) would not work if destVo.attr1 is transient.

Creating PDF with links in Table of Contents

How do I convert a Word file (in which the page numbers in the Table of Contents are links to their corresponding headings) to a PDF file so that the page numbers in the Table of Contents are still liinks to their corresponding headings? I am working with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. Thanks!

Hmmm. I hadn't heard of this limitation. Indeed, http://www.pdfa.org/2011/08/pdfa-–-a-look-at-the-technical-side/ says "With regard to hyperlinks, the special ‘Link’ annotation type is permitted with or without activated ‘Appearance’. " Maybe this document is being generated with a different kind of annotation.

How to maintain two sets of links

We have an organization chart on our intranet that we would like to place on our Internet site as well. The different units listed on the intranet site org chart have links to the corresponding intranet page for that unit. For the Internet org chart, we would want the links to go to the corresponding Internet page for that unit.
This is easy enough to do once. We would replace the intranet link with an Internet link. However, from that point on, we would have to either maintain the intranet and the Intranet org charts in parallel or else maintain one org chart and re-do the links for the second chart every time the org chart is updated.
Is there any way to maintain two sets of links for a single org chart file, and have the intranet links be active for the PDF placed on the intranet and the Internet links be active for the PDF placed on the Internet? The URLs are not visible on the org chart; instead, the name of each unit is a link.

I think it will be a mess. Just create two copies of the file, one with internal links and one with external ones.

Troubles with linking subreport with an SAP Query variable

I have a main report mith a subreport placed in the detail section.
Both reports base on an Bex Query and have Query-variables. While linking the subreport i can not select the parameter which is based on the Bex variable in the subreport.
While connecting other parameters /variables i learned, that Crystal cannot determine the type of data of a Bex variable, right?
Because of that i built formulas which convert my values into strings and these strings can i connect in the subreport linking.
Unforntunately this does not work with this on variable. In Bex this is a Number. I tried to link with the corresponding field in the Detail section (which is a number, too) and i tried with the string, but both does not work. I can not select this Parameter.
Any idea how to determine the datatype of this Parameter (based on Bex Variable) i have to provide?

In this problematic case I want to connect a field of the detail row to a prameter in the subreport. This Parameter is coming from a Bex Variable. I treid with values of oll types - it doesn't work. How can i determine the type that Crystal assignes to the Be variable?

Requisition reference in PDOI - IMPORTANT

We have a requirement to push the PO's created in a legacy appln to ORacle 11i. Since Oracle has provided standard open interface for PO I decided to use it. Moreover we used Requisition interfaces for req export to oracle. Now I need to refer the requisition id's/number thru the PO interfaces. But I could see only REQ_DISTRIBUTION_ID field in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE table. Is that the only field available to refer the req, or can we also refer REQ Number in any of the po interface tables? Did anyone come across this scenario? IF so, please share your thoughts

Were you able to successfully link requisition to po using PDOI? Or was it just reference should on PO? Did you checked if req_distribution_id actually got populated in tables of po_distributions_all?
As per metalink note 1082985.1 seems we can only establish reference but not the link.
Can you or anyone please suggest way out for linking requisition to PO which I need to create based on file coming from legacy system.

Linking multiple documents in solar01

Hi Guys,
Linking multiple documents in SolMan is a pain, and I am trying to find out if anyone of you have a way that allows linking multiple documents in SolMan at a go.
We need to do a 3 way match between document types - Say Doc A, Doc B and Doc C. All Doc As have corresponding Doc Bs and Cs.
So each Doc A must be linked to the corresponding Doc B and C; Doc B to the corresponding Doc A and C and Doc C to the corresponding Doc A and B.
Any ideas !!

Does anyone know how to create record paging that has numbers , similar to at the bottom of the google search page? Numbers that are generated dynamically and are links to the corresponding page, Instead of just the Next Previus Start End buttons?
