You're right, but there is no solution or workaround I know. You have to wait till it works like you described it.

  • How to create a tree structure using list items(tlist)

    HI every one,
    As we know how to create a tree structure using Hierarchy item type.
    We have a requirement to create The same tree like structure using List Item(Tlist)
    I would be so appreciated If you send with an example
    Thanks

    Hi all
    Any one help me please
    Actually our client requirement is creation of tree structure using list item,similar to what we used in oracle Application(FNDSCSGN) form.We did the tree structure using hierarchy tree using Htree and Ftree.It working excelently.For client requirement, we want to use list item.How PJC(Pluggable Java Components) is useful for using list item(Tlist).I can't understand how it is useful.
    Do you have any example please help me.
    Thanks

  • Double clicking a list item

    Hi,
    I'm just trying to perform an action by double-clicking a list item, but doesn't seem to work. code:
    WHEN-MOUSE-DOUBLE-CLICK trigger on List item (TList).
    DECLARE
    v_verwalten VARCHAR2(40);
    BEGIN
    v_verwalten := :CONTROL.LIST;
    IF v_verwalten = 'Codes verwalten'
    THEN NEW_FORM('COD_VER');
    END IF;
    END;

    Hi all,
    When the list item type is tlist, the trigger 'WHEN-LIST-ACTIVATED' will fire for "mouse double click" and "key enter".
    Try with placing the code in 'WHEN-LIST-ACTIVATED' trigger.

  • Populating list item with a record group

    I'm trying to populate a list item (TList) with a Record group with a simple query: SELECT FRM_NAME FROM FORM
    In the forms WHEN_VALIDATE_NEW_FORM trigger, I use POPULATE_LIST('FORM_LIST', 'RG_FORM_LIST');
    Am I missing something? I get the error FRM-41334: Invalid record group for list population.

    thanks, i've tried that, but still nothing. I must be doing something simple, but very wrong. I tried with oracle's default scott/tiger schema, created a simple form with a record group with 2 columns, and populating a manually made poplist (populate_list('LIST4', 'RG1'); Still get errors:
    FRM-30191: No list items defined for required poplist.
    List LIST4
    Item: LIST4
    Block: EMP
    Form: MODULE5
    FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.

  • Background color of a list item implemented as Tlist

    Hi,
    I have one form with 3 blocks each holding one list item. The list item that has the focus should have a different background color from the other 2 list items. I thought to implement this with visual attributes I assign in the when-new-block-instance trigger. This however only partially works.
    What happens is the following :
    At startup focus is in the first block. This block's when-new-block-instance trigger is fired :
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_INDICATOR');
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST2.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_ENABLED_LIST');
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST3.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_ENABLED_LIST2');
    and the list correctly gets it's yellow background. (defined in va_indicator)
    Va_enabled_list and va_enabled_list2 both have a white background, difference between them is the font size)
    Now when we move focus to the 2nd block we get a different behaviour. This is the trigger defined on the 2nd block :
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_ENABLED_LIST');
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST2.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_INDICATOR');
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('BK_LIST3.LIST',VISUAL_ATTRIBUTE ,'VA_ENABLED_LIST2');
    So I except the first block to get a white background again and the second block to get it's yellow background. However only the selected row in the tlist changes it's background color. (this in both blocks)
    I do not understand why the first time (at form startup) the background color is set for the whole item and the second time only for the selected record.
    I tried to use the property background_color but the colors are different from what I see in my color palette in that case. If I use the same color codes I also use in my visual_attributes the final result on the screen is different...
    Secondly the result is the same, at form startup the item's background is set, as from the second call only the current salected record in the tlist will change from background color.
    Forms are running C/S and are developed in Forms 6i. One way to get the result I need is by navigating back & forward to my application in Windows using Alt-Tab. At that moment the correct background colors are suddenly applied... Is there a way to force a similar sort of screen refresh ?
    Thanks for any hints, workarounds, tips or solutions !
    Kris

    Hi,
    I still don't have a clue how I could solve this one.
    It works leaving the block (so making it white again) but it does not work entering the block. (giving the list item another background color). The problem is not about the whithe color. If I do my tests with other colors (red-yellow) the problem remains.
    Best Regards,

  • Multi Selection in List Item

    Hi all,

    in List Item(combo box, poplist or tlist). If anybody can help plz.

  • Populate the values  to  list item based on a check box

    Hi,
    How can i populate the values from a field on the form to one list item based on a check box,
    the pseudo code is like,
    if checkbox = checked then
    populate the particular field value to the list item;
    checkbox = unchecked;
    next_record;
    end if;
    Thanks
    Bcj

    To populate a Tlist item, do the following:
    1. Create a TLIST item in the EMP block. and give it a height to accommodate several names.
    2. Using the TLIST property pallete:
    a. Set the Column Name property to EMPNO
    b. Click on the Elements in List property. Delete each List Element and delete each List Item Value. If you don't do this you will get an error when you compile.
    3. Create a record group using this query:
    select ename, to_char(empno) from emp
    4. Create a WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger, and place this code inside the trigger:
    Declare
    err_num number;
    Begin
    clear_list('YOUR_TLIST');
    err_num := populate_group('YOUR_RECORD_GROUP');
    If err_num = 0 Then
    populate_list('YOUR_TLIST', 'YOUR_RECORD_GROUP');
    Else
    message('Error populating Tlist');
    message('Error populating Tlist');
    End If;
    End;
    5. Compile and run the form. The ENAMEs will appear in the TList, and each ENAME will have a value equal to its EMPNO.

  • List item/combo

    hi,
    anyone know how to programmatically invoke a list item ?
    thanx.
    n

    Andrew EJ
    Thanks, I hadn't thought of that and will bear it in mind. However, my current problem revolves around a non-mandatory item which is currently null. Forms does include a blank value in the list but puts it at the bottom, hence the bottom of the list is being displayed. I don't want to use your technique in this case because it will be updating the item with a value the user has not actually chosen. What I really want is the blank at the top. I will experiment with including a null in my list but I suspect forms might put another in at the bottom.
    As for opening the list automatically, I think I will experiment with changing the list style to tlist and increasing the vertical size when the user navigates to it.

  • How do I get the list index for the selected list item

    How can I obtain the list index for the currently selected
    element in a list item? I'm trying to move the label and value
    from on list box to another by using the add_list_element built-
    in and it requires the list index.
    Thanks for your help...

    Hi,
    You can`t get the Index for the selected item..
    you can get the Value of then Tlist using :Block.ListName .
    maybe theis code will help you..
    PROCEDURE pr_PasarElementos(ls_Origen           varchar2,                    ls_destino          varchar2,          cValor                    varchar2 default null) IS
         nCont_Orig     number := 0;
         nCont_Dest     number := 0;
    begin
    nCont_Orig := GET_LIST_ELEMENT_COUNT(ls_Origen);          nCont_Dest := GET_LIST_ELEMENT_COUNT(ls_destino);
         Add_List_Element(ls_destino,nCont_Dest+1,cValor,cValor);
         for rec_Orig in 1..nCont_Orig loop
         if GET_LIST_ELEMENT_VALUE(ls_Origen,rec_Orig) = cValor then
         delete_list_element(ls_Origen,rec_Orig);
         end if;
         end loop;
    end;
    you can call the procedure with :
    pr_pasarElementos('control.ls_activos','control.ls_inactivos',:CONTROL.ls_activos);
    here I`m working with the Value equal to the Label... you would need to look for the Label of the origin (ls_Origen) list using the Value (cValor) you already have.
    I hope this help you.

  • List item without scroll bar

    Hi,
    When I depoly the form with tlist item. it does not display a vertical bar even if the number of item exceeds the viewable area of tlist. However, it display the scroll bar again when I trigger the same piece of list item loading code with another control after a while.

    You could add your own When-Validate-Record to prevent a NULL value from being added rather than using the Required setting, I find this to be a better alternative as you can provide better exception messages to the user.

    Rate per liter
    Debit Amount
    On text fields I am fetching records from another file. User will map the list item with text item.
    What i want to check is, list item should not get repeated. i.e suppose I've run time display like this

    please suggest something
    Thank You

    THe most user-friendly way would be to remove elements from all other lists when they are chosen once. You would have to have a WHEN-LIST-CHANGED-trigger on all listitem and populate the the listitems accordingly.

  • Unable to Read Calendar List Items through CAML

    Hi All,
    * I have created two columns in calendar one Year and other Month.When new event is added in calendar through (Item Added) event receiver I am setting the values to this columns as Name of Month to(February) and Year as(2014)  .So that I can fetch the
    data easily based on month and year
    * Through this Columns Secondly when I try to fetch the data to count number of items of particular month and year using caml query I am getting error as below .
    "Error:One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields."
    *My below caml code is working fine if i applied to custom list,But not to calendar.Can any one help me for what reason I am unable to fetch data
    Code
     string year="2014";
     string month="February";
     SPSite mysite = SPContext.Current.Site;
     SPWeb myweb = mysite.OpenWeb();
    SPList mylist = myweb.Lists["Calendar"];
     SPQuery myquery = new SPQuery();
      myquery.Query = @"<Where>
                                          <And>
                                           <Eq>

                                         </And>
                                      </Where>";
     SPListItemCollection totaltiems = mylist.GetItems(myquery);
      Label1.Text= "Total Number of Items is "+" "+totaltiems.Count.ToString();
    Thanks, Quality Communication Provides Quality Work. http://siddiq-sharepoint2010.blogspot.in/ Siddiqali Mohammad .

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error when read calendar list items using CAML.
    I created two single line of text columns in the Calendar( Year and Month), then add items in the Calendar to check with your code. The CAML query worked well as below.
    string year = "2014";
    string month = "February";
    using (SPSite oSiteCollection = new SPSite("Your site URL"))
    using (SPWeb myweb = oSiteCollection.OpenWeb())
    SPList mylist = myweb.Lists["Calendar"];
    SPQuery myquery = new SPQuery();
    myquery.Query = @"<Where> <And> <Eq> <FieldRef Name='Year'/> <Value Type='text'>" + year
    + "</Value></Eq><Eq>+ "
    + " <FieldRef Name='Month' />+ "
    + " <Value Type='text'>" + month + "</Value>+ "
    + " </Eq> </And></Where>";
    SPListItemCollection totaltiems = mylist.GetItems(myquery);
    Console.WriteLine( "Total Number of Items is " + " " + totaltiems.Count.ToString());
    Console.ReadLine();
    Which type of the two columns in your Calendar? Were they text type?
    Are you sure the field name(<FieldRef Name='Year'/>,
    <FieldRef Name='Month' />) is same as internal name?
    We should only use internal name while refrencing columns in CAML query. If you have space In you column , replace it with "_x0020_", such as
    News_x0020_Category.
