How To display Graphs in work book

Hi Xpertz
Could any one explain me how can i display graps in work books i mean i want the data disply in sheet one and graph display in the sheet two.say row in x axis and columns in Y axis..
Ny suggestion..

Hi,
Slect the only Result area (including headers of rows and columns) and click 'chart Wizard' on excel tool bar..then foloow the steps to finish the graph..depending on selection in chart wizard,you can arrange data..Preview shows how your chart looks like...
in the chartwizard,you have the option to display Graph in different sheet(you can select the sheet from dropdown box..),arranging rows and columns as required...etc

        If you want to add something change the workbook into design mode (in the toolbar first icon) and insert wht ever u require. If you want to replicate the changes of query in Work book , refresh the workbook if still still didnot reflect please rebrowse the query.
    Can you please tell  what you want to change in workbook.

    Hi,
    Follow the below steps to insert multiple queries in one work book.
    1. First run one query in analyzer, once you get the output just click on Design mode.
    2. Place the cursor where ever you want to insert new query and click on Analysis Grid.
    3. Once Analysis Grid inserted in desired cell, By double clicking on analysis grid goto properties-->Create Data provider from General tab.
    4.To Assign query to this analysis grid click on Assign Query / Query View
    5.Select new query from the new dialog box and click on Open
    7. Click again OK on the properties screen.
    6.To refresh workbook on open select "Refresh Workbook on Open" option from workbook settings.

    how can i make the code in such a way that if i select 4 channles i should get only four displays of graphs,if i select 8 then it should be able to display 8 graphs..

    So as far as I understand, if a rules index does not exist, calling this function will call a SEM_APIS.CREATE_ENTAILMENT using whatever info it gets from the attachment. I noticed however that when the rulebase specified by the attachment already exists (e.g. it is created manually via SEM_APIS.CREATE_ENTAILMENT in SQLPLUS) the the function will still run. What does it do in the latter case? Does it update the rules index like graph.commitTransaction() or does it do nothing?

    Answer to 1) is yes.
    For your second question, "Is there a way to do something like graph.performInference() via the SEM_APIS? Or do I have to call SEM_APIS.CREATE_ENTILMENT every time I add/delete a triple from the model?"
    SEM_APIS.create_entailment is the API you want to call from SQL to run inference. Whether you need to call that API every time you add/delete a triple
    is application dependent. You may want to run create_entailment periodically. Note that, Oracle Database release 11.2 has a cool feature called incremental inference maintenance. It can efficiently update the inference closure after a few triples are added. Please see the user manual for details.

    Look at the POI projeck under Jakarta. You can generate worksheets or workbooks using pure Java.

    I have successfully transported 0FIGL_1 InfoCube (only in Data Flow Before) from BW DEV to BW Production...
    But In BW Production This Cube and InfoSources and Update rules and InfoObects are all in inactive...
    What to do?..

    May be you are telling is correct but i am unable to follow..
    Please correct if my understanding is wrong....
    1. I have Created one BEx Truck Request...it is not Released so far..So, it is there in SE09 of BW DEV
    2. Selected Queried and work books --- Grouping --- Only necessary objects -- Collection mode -- automatic...(Default all queries and workbooks selected as check box)
    3. Click Transport truck (Which is beside of Grouping Option)..
    4. Created one request and then released... But not imported into BW Production..
    5. Now I have modified all the queried (Change text)
    6. RSA1 -- Transport connection -- Selected modified queried...
    7. Grouping only necessary objects and collected mode --automatic...
    8. Selected modified queries and dragged into right side...
    My question here is they are not checked check box under transport?...shall i check it?
    Shall i release Old BEx Request? and then before transporting these new modified queries Create another BEx Request?
    or else..
    Create new request for modified Queries? and then transport?
    Now the situation is i have already created transport request for modified queries..What to do? shall i release them also?...
    Pls suggest me....

    Go to Query Global properties in Query designer and you can find a setting to show result rows on top. This setting will show overall result as first row in the report. But I don't think you can show it in Text field in WB.

  • Work book migration problem : error in graph

    Hi all,
    I have a work book ,created in 3.x ...now we are on 7.0 So when iam migrating i got error .
    I have resolved  other errors..but one error is remained , problem with the graph....
    on X axis with values it is showing header row also..how can i avoid header row...? to not display in graph....
    As data table  source controlled by BI  so ia mnotable to maintain range for graph....
    Problem is when it is with out scalling factors it is displaying correctly in graph also..
    When iam selecting option to display scalling factor it is showing header row also in graph... coz of that graph was showing wrong data...

    When iam selecting scalling factor sys will add one more row to display... this is the problem sys did not set automaticaly to consider or to leave first 2 rows...

    Hi,
    Go to the workbook in development system. Find out the technical name of the workbook ( in query designer you wil find in properties).
    Copy it and go to the production system. Assign it to the required role you want. It will be visible in the perticular role in production.
    I would still suggest if possible transport the role from dev to prod. (to keep all systems in line with each other)

    I normally use my mac book 2011 with an external display. However, for the past few days, the macbook display is not working. The computer boots up, but will only display on the external display with the lid closed. How do I fix this?

    Are you referring to an F2 key on the MacBook?  As in, "did I try brightening the MacBook display"?
    If so, yes I have.  If I. Completely darken (F1 key) then brighten the MacBook display using the F2 key, I get the same less-than-one-second result before screen blanking.  The display is actually still there, but completely inlit.

    Workbooks into which queries are inserted are no different in appearance than other Excel workbooks. They can be saved as files, copied, sent and (using Excel functions) edited however you like and even supplemented with other data.
    Ad-hoc query is the one that the user/developer would want to create/use for researching/validating something. This may be to validate the data also. This differs from Production query as it would not be used everyday and would be just be used for that moment.

    The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

    Hi James,
    According to BI 7.0 Version
    Steps of creating workbook and to insert more than one query in a workbook.
    When you run a query and it opens in Bex Analyzer you can click the save button and pick "Save as Workbook".
    Once you save it as a workbook Click on the "Design Mode" button in the Bex toolbar (looks like an A).
    Click in the sheet where you want the new query to go, click the "Analysis Grid" button. It will add the analysis grid to your new sheet.
    Right click on the Analysis grid and go to properties.
    Click on button to change data provider and select the query you want to attach.
    Exit design mode and you should be all set.
