List of all expression keyword not included in official documentation

Hi everyone,
I came accross a tutorial by Harry Frank of Gray Machine. In this old post he give a tutorial on having dynamic text with an external text file... He is using a keyword wich is often use un C like programming to import classes, which is #include... What surprises me is that the official documentation does not state that keyword. So I was wondering, where could we find a complete reference on the keyword available in the expression engine of After Effect. And is it possible to combine AE Script with Expression? One example would be to find the OS and changing the file system path depending on MAC or PC...

The preprocessor directives (#include, etc.) are listed in Adobe's JavaScript Tools Guide (accessable through the ExtendScript Toolkit Help menu).
However, I don't think #include works in expressions any more (recent releases of AE anyway), but there is a global $ object (also described in the JavaScript Tools Guide) and some of those attributes and methods do work in expressions. For example, $.os gives you the operating system name and $.evalFile() can be used to perform a function similar to what you could do with #include.

    Why are most of my keywords not included when I export images?
    Since starting with Lightroom 1, I've entered keywords into either of the two fields between "keyword tags" and "keyword suggestions" in the keywording panel.  I was unaware that some keywords are more equal than others, or that Lightroom offered (or has added?) hierarchy support.
    I recently stumbled into the news (to me) that Lightroom tags can be organized into a hierarchy, so I exported my keywords to a text file to examine.  I hadn't unwittingly created any hierarchies, but an astounding fraction of the keywords were within square brackets.  Sure enough, if I export an image, keywords within square brackets are omitted from the output (jpeg) file.  How nice.  Since I began with Lightroom 1, I've added nearly 1600 keywords.. Too bad most of them are coded wrong... so as not to accompany output that I create.
    1.     What was I supposed to do, as a photographer beginning to use Lightroom, to enter keywords simply but reliably:  what I type is what I get? I'd expected that's what the "just type here" interface would provide.
    I especially dislike obtaining erratic results:  most keywords are in square brackets, but a few are not.  Of course, when I use a simplified interface, I should expect not to have access to some of the options or features.  However, I shouldn't inadvertently trigger undocumented behavior.
    2.     Does the Adobe reference help system say how to enter keywords simply and reliably, in its documentation of the keywording panel? I don't find my answer under the Keywords topic, within Home / Using Photoshop Lightroom 3 / Organizing photos in the catalog.
    (I NOW realize that the instructions for the "Create/Edit keyword tags" dialog mention exporting. However, that's not the method I was using.)

    I'm afraid that I distracted you with my background mention of hierarcharial keywords; I'm not asking about them.
    I've entered keywords for several years of using Lightroom.  Suddenly, this week, I find that most (yet not all) of them have the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata."  I never intended to ask for that; I thought all keywords will stay with the file and its offspring, and that's what I wanted.
    So I'm asking:
    1.     What did I do "wrong" to induce Lightroom to give the keywords that attribute? I never intended to ask it to.
    2.     Where does Adobe document how to enter keywords reliably so that they stay with the file on output?  I can't find that Adobe does.

    I did export the keywords into such a list:  most keywords in the plain-text list have square brackets surrounding them, indicating keywords that will be omitted from metadata of any image that Lightroom exports.
    My concern is not that the brackets are there.  They encode the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata," and recognizing that attribute concerns me.

  • "all photos" album not including all photos. Causing some photo not to be uploaded to iCloud Photo Library

    After updating to iCloud photo library (iPhone 5, iOS 8.1), if I look at my "photos" tab I see over 700 photos, but in the  'all photos' album I only have 420. This results in only 420 of the photos uploaded to iCloud Photo library and not clearing much space off of my iPhone.

    The FAVOURITES and PANOS albums also sort by date and time too. So all the albums sort by time and day except the ALL PHOTOS album! Seems very strange! What's even odder is that the date range listed at the top of the ALL PHOTOS album would suggest that they are sorted by date!
    Apple I hope you SORT this out soon

  • What can I do to make sure all my information (Notes Included) transfers to my new MacBook Pro when connecting for the first time?

    I am about to connecting my Iphone to my new Macbook Pro for the first time. I just want to make sure that all my information: contacts, messages, notes, everything will still be on my phone. I just dont want to connect then find out I lost everything on my phone.

    When you first sync with a new iTunes library iTunes will delete any iTunes media from your phone and replace it with the media in the library being synced with.  iTunes media includes things like apps, music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, books, custom ringtones and photos synced to your phone from a computer.  If you are also syncing your contacts and calendars with your computer it will replace the ones on your phone with those on your computer.  If your iTunes library, contacts, calendars and iPhoto are all empty, you will end up with all of these being empty on your phone.
    To preserve these you need to follow the steps in the linked article.  This will transfer purchased media from your phone to your iTunes library and transfer contacts and calendar entries to your Mac.  As discussed in the guide, it will not transfer music not purchased from the iTunes store (which can only be done using 3rd party software such as the ones discussed) or photos synced to your phone from another computer (which can be transferred to your computer using an app like PhotoSync).  These will need to done first or you will lose them, as discussed in the guide.

    Can be I must to use the CMP format to create all my subsites with the rights included ?

    List templates do not include:
    Security settings, such as a list of users or groups with permissions to the list from which the template was created.
    Lookup field links. Although lists can contain lookup fields that reference data in another list, the other list (and its data) is not included when you save a list template.

    ThanksThe answer is that it should. And should be in shipment status soon also.
    However there may be a lag between the two.
    (Exam history load process may be different to certification evaluation process ... which is a set of rules).
    And as Sun/Java Certifications are currently being loaded there may be a delay/problem that wouldn't normally occur.
    Your OTN registration is today .. so that you've only just logged into certview ... so some problems with that may just have been cleared also.

  • Is there a way to not include zero values in sums and an average?

    I'm working on a new performace evaluation & would like to sum the score of each line, then get an average of the total scores.
    example:  stength (1 value), Solid Performer (2 value), Performer (3 value), Recommend Development (4 value), N/A (zero value)  then a total score of all the values, not including the zero value. 
    Then an average score of all the scores given.

    If you use the calculation option "The field is the ____ of the following fields:", nulll values and zero values are included as zero and the number of number of items use is the number of fields selected.
    If you want a different calculation, then you will have to write a custom script to sum and count the fields you want to include in the calculation.

    I think of a similar automatism that generates the list of parameters and exceptions when documenting a function module.

    I guess, NO.
    Function module uses the documentation class FU for the Documentation and FU is for the Function Module and & Parameter documentation. Where as there are different document classes for the Class (CL), Class Methods (CO), Class Attributes (CA) & Class Events (CE).
    Moreover, your mapping of FM to Class and Parameters to Method is illogical.

    I accomplished what I needed last night.  I remembered I had picked my favorite images from each year and put them in a "favorite" folder by year.  These folders included 500 to 1200 images per year.  I pulled up the folder for each year and highlighted all images and clicked on "Keywords" and all keywords used for all images were listed.  I made those keywords persistent.  It took me a while to realize I had to click on each keyword to make it persistent.  After doing this for all years, I assume 95% of all keywords I have used over the many years were back in my list.  I'm sure there is probably a more "technical" way to accomplish what I needed, but this seems to have worked.  I also exported my list into a word document and is saved on my hard drive.
    If I had not made folders with my favorite images for each year, I could not have used this method, so if you figure out a better way, I like to hear it.  Thanks for your comments and willingness to help.

    I want to know how can i NOT include top level keyword in the metadata of an image. I know there is an option for not applying a keyword to an exported image, but is there an option for not applying the top level keyword to the actual image?
    I have organized my geographical (by location) keywords like this:
    Places
    USA
    New York
    Miami
    Spain.
    If i add geographical keywords to all my images, all my images will have the keyword "Places", i dont think that it have any sence to have all your images with one keyword. How can i fix this? Any sugestion? i will appreciate it a lot any help or information that you could give me.

    Explicitly excluding a keyword only applies when "exporting". Unfortunately, there's currently no way to stop the keyword being written to the file when "Save Metadata to File" command is used. The natural reaction of users to this difference is to suggest that it is stupid. Nevertheless, there are good reasons why the difference exists:
    1. "Export" creates a new file whereas "Save Metadata to File" writes the metadata back into the existing file.
    2. There are very good reasons why certain keywords should not be written to file, and the example given in the OP is one. Saving metadata to file is more often used as means of backing up important image related metadata, independently of the catalog or allowing the metadata to be visible in other aplications. It would be rare that such a file would be shared with a third party, so the reason for not including certain keywords is less obvious. Actually, not including it can result in no end of confusion and grief. For example, if the top level (or any keyword) was excluded during the save metadata process then the other keywords would be orphaned when image is imported back into the catalog (e.g. buiding a new catalog).
    The development team are aware of the need, in some circumstances, to exclude certain keywords when save metadata command is used. How and when the issue is resolved, without adding even more confusion/complexity, is some way off.

    I have been using Mail for the past three years without need to send a regular mailing list mailout.
    I now need to send group emails and all I want to do is browse my contacts aquired over the last three years to create a list. I have not used Address Book for anything other than phone contacts so please do not point me in that dirrection.
    There must be a list of all email contacts stored somewhere on the Mac that I can look through. It is an almost impossible task to do this by browsing my inbox/sent folders.

    0. find the user id.
        a. log in as that specific user.
        b. run terminal
        c. type "echo $UID"
        d. write down the user id that will be displayed
    1. Go to the finder
    2. go to the user home folder
    3. click the box with the magnifying glass (upper right corner of the window)
    4. type .jpg
    5. a menu will pop under the magnifying glass box, select "jpg image"
    6. click the "plus" sign that's displayed to the right of the word "save"
    7. two pull down menus will appear, select "other" from the first one
    8. a new window will pull down, scroll to "owner" and select it
    9. back in the original window type the user id (a number) to the right of "owner" "equals"
