Change layout of Adhoc query output list for Custom infotype
Hi All,
The fields in the Infoset query output on a custom infotype are aligned with the fields u2018payment typeu2019 and u2018amountu2019 appearing repeatedly(in columns) as declared in the Infotype and the output will be a long horizontal list.
Instead, the requirement is that the output list should show vertically so that If I choose u2018Payment Typeu2019 and u2018Amountu2019 as output fields, it will show a long vertical list as in the case of a standard infotype (IT0008).
Also, this way enables user to use Payment Type as a selection criteria so as to just pulling the needed payment type. When we use IT0008 in the infoset it works fine but in custom IT it does not work.
Any pointers/suggestions on how we can achieve this would be helpful.Hi yu liang,
You can find vendor list having Vendor No. & without showing total liability for every vendor.
after executing the report,
1.You need to select "change layout (ctrl+F8)",
a small window comes, it has two part -> column content & hidden fields.
then u select "Vendor" from hidden field & move it to column content.
2. at column content there is a column named "Total". u need to remove check for your column name "amount".
now select "copy" button or enter. u will find the req. report.
u can save it also by ur name.

Adding dropdown list in an Infotype
Hi ABAP HR Gurus,
Good day.
Basically, I need to add a dropdown list in a standard Infotype. Can you kindly provide the steps on how to accomplish this? Do I still need to use Transaction PM01 for this? Thank you very much!

i have use this steps.
To create authorization fields, choose Tools --> ABAP Workbench --> Development --> Other tools --> Authorization objects ® Fields.
To create a authorization field:
1. Choose Create authorization field.
2. On the next screen, enter the name of the field. Field names must be unique and must begin with the letter Y or Z.
3. Assign a data element from the ABAP Dictionary to the field.
4. If desired, enter a check table for the possible entries. For more information about check tables.
For more information about AUTHORITY-CHECK, see the keyword documentation of the ABAP Editor.
You can often use the fields defined by SAP in your own authorization objects. If you create a new authorization object, you do not need to define your own fields. For example, you can use the SAP field ACTVT in your own authorization objects to represent a wide variety of actions in the system.
Assigning an Authorization Object to an Object Class
Each authorization object must be assigned to an object class when it is created.
Choose Tools --> ABAP Workbench --> Development --> Other tools -->
Authorization objects --> Objects.
You can also create authorization objects in the Object Navigator (SE80).
The system displays a list of existing object classes.
Object classes are organized according to the components of the system.
Before you can create a new object, you must define the object class for the component in which you are working. The objects are not overwritten when you install new releases.
You can also define your own object classes. If you do so, select class names that begin with Y or Z to avoid conflicts with SAP names.
Enter a unique object name and the fields that belong to the object. Object names must begin with the letter Y or Z in accordance with the naming convention for customer-specific objects.
You can enter up to ten authorization fields in an object definition. You must also enter a description of the object and create documentation for it.
Ensure that the object definition matches the AUTHORITY-CHECK calls that refer to the object.
Do not change or delete authorization objects defined by SAP. This disables SAP programs that use the objects.
You can regenerate the profile SAP_ALL after creating an authorization object. -

we are using portal 7.3 version,Our requirement is addition
of a new field “Leave Details” in the LTA screen with dropdown values from Infotype
2001 subtype ITEL. From the current calendar year in ESS.The new field should
be available only for the claim type LTA claim or claim against advance.

Business requirement is the new field should display the list entry in Infotype 2001 for the calendar year as selection option for employee. they would like to know ITEL subtype claim,
Example.employee no: EE#9941
As per screen shot you may see for EE#9941 there are 2 Leave requests.
So in the leave details the selection drop down menu option or any other way should be display 2 lines.

Data Migration- Infotypes BDC Recording
Hi All,
Iam currently working on data migration project.
Before i joined here,they developed the upload programes,by using Function modules.But when we are doing that,we are able to see in Over veiw,But when we go to change mode,nothing is there on screen.Then we tried Using BDC Recording for IT0105.Then working perfectly.
So i need a help,if any one of you any idea on list of the Infotypes which need BDC Recording.
I need the List of infotypes,so that i make sure,we use BDC .
Its on priority,Pls have some inputs.

BDC and LSMW are both data loading techniques.
In both cases you will need input files in a specific format so that these are read by your BDC or LSMW program
The main difference is
Using BDC you can validate the data in the system. Suppose you want to check if an employee is active before loading the data then BDC is advisable because you can check the employment status of the employee and then upload data or else give a message that employee is terminated and data loading has been skipped
If there is a straight forward upload without any validation then go for LSMW
Finally it depends on your requirements

Update multiple infotypes for an employee
I have a requirement to update some fields in various PA infotypes like 0002, 0006, 0008, 0015, 0021 and a few custom PA infotypes (9xxx) for a given set of employees.
Is there any method by which I would be able to update the required fields of all the above listed infotypes for an employee in one go? Is it possible to update all the infotypes of all the given set of employees in one go?
Please let me know the FM that could be used to meet the requirement. An example would also be helpful.

JitenPlease check if there is already personnel actions defined with all the infotypes you are trying to update. If you have them, then you can use HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION or HR_MANTAIN_MASTERDATA very easily with one single call. For that please refer the logic of PA48 transaction, simple one.
If the personnel action is not defined, then you need to call the FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION separately for each infotype. Or HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA at once for all of them.
From the list of standard infotypes mentioned, only IT0008 is having repetitive structure, handle it as a special case else others looks very similar.
Note : I don't see IT0000 mentioned in the list, hence i presume that there are no personnel actions defined for this set. But you can get it confirmed from your functional folks.

'Critical' Infotypes to be logged
SAP provides avenues to log changes made in Infotypes upto field and subtype level and also recommends that not all infotypes and not all fields should be logged, but only 'critial' infotypes should be logged.
Does anyone have any <b>audit criteria or a list of critical infotypes</b> which can help me determine which Infotypes and fields should be activated for audit?

Check this standard report - Tcode S_AHR_61016380. This report is used to get the log of infotype changes.
There is also a documentation on this Report on the selection-screen.

Authorization on PNP logical database
My limited understanding of authorization on reports that uses PNP/PNPCE logical database is that if a user who runs the report does not have authorization for any of the declared infotypes then the report stops with message 'no authorization for infotype ...'. And if the user has authorization for the infotypes but do not have authorizations for some of the PERNRS then it will only display those records that user have authorization for and shows message saying no. of skipped records (of those that user did not have authorization).
Programmers here say that the users who do not have authorization for some infotypes should still be able to see list for other infotypes that they do have authorization for.
-- Please shed some light on this and guide me if there is a cookbook/document out there about this.

Adding further.
Each report is different in its own way and there are various ways of controlling the access to the Reports based on ur scenario.
The first check happens at the P_ABAP level where in it checks the access to the program corresponding to that report and level of access (1,2).
If these are missing then it goes further to check for the explicit access
in objects like
P_ORGIN, P_PERNR etc.
Now in some of these reports the processing is designed in such a way that if the access to an IT is not available it throughs a error message and the processing of the report stops at that instance (this depends on the message type which has been defined at that instance to be displayed) so at this instance you need to have access to that IT to proceed further but in some other cases the check does happen but the processing continues without stopping at that check failure(example is P_PERNR, the check happens but is not required for processing the report).
This is one example but there could even more criterion based on which the processing of the report is terminated or allowed to continue depending on the reports utility

So what you have been told by programmers is true in some cases but surely not accross all the HR reports and all auth objects.

Transaction code thro' SAP Query for customer spefific report

how to create transaction code (using SE43-) for the sap query created on own??
I have created the following required for a customer specific report
1.Infoset thro sq02
2.user group thro sq03 and assigned it to infoset
3.query thro sq01 and saved it with text
earlier i have used logical database PNPCE ( relevant for PA and payroll modules reports)
using sq01 , go to basic list , selected required infotypes and fields and
then selected, SAP List viewer for viewing and i get the report.
Now my question is how to create a separate transaction code for this sap query which i created
should i use SE43( area menu maintenance and area class???_)
should i create a variant and go to SE43??

when you excecute the query in right han side corner you can get the program name
go to se80 select program & type this name and then you can create a tcode for that prog in SE80

Iam working in ABAP, and learning CRM ABAP on CRM5.0 IDES Demo system I was trying to create a new WebIC by copying one view from CRM_IC to ZCRM_IC bsp application. Following are the steps I following according to Cook book documentation.
1. I copied BuPaDisplayCustomer view and controller from CRM_IC to ZCRM_IC from
BSP_WD_WORKBENCH by selecting CRM_IC and runtime profile = 'DEFAULT'.
2. Created a runtime profile from SPRO->CRM->IC Webclient->Customer specific modifications->Define
runtime profile.
3. Copied the 'DEFAULT' runtime profile to my new profile 'Z_COOKBOOK'. Assign 'ZCRM_IC' by
clicking on 'Controller and substitues'.

CRM_IC BuPaMoreContactView Z_CRM_IC BuPaMoreContactView
4. Define IC Webclient profile:
SPRO->CRM->IC Webclient->Define IC Webclient profile->Copy the DEFAULT profile and assign it to

5. Assigned the Webclient profile to the user from t-code 'PPOMW'. Selected 'USER' from the
existing 'Position' and Goto->Detail object->Enhanced obj descrption.Selected IC webclient from the
list and created Infotype assigned Webclient profile 'Z_COOKBOOK'.
6. Execute the ZCRM_IC from SE80 by rightclick and Test. Here is my problem,Iam receiving the
following error in the webpage.

Not sure whether any additional configuration or any special roles to be assigned to the Webclient profile.

How to enhance standard report RPLICO10

I want to add two fields in field selection in standard report RPLICO10 ( ECC 6.0 )
1. IT 0105 - subtype 0001
2. IT 0105 - subtype 0010
these fields are not present in selectable fields under field selection.

Can we do it in standard report or we have to create customized copy of it ?Hi Lalit,
Instead of getting the fields on the selection screen, try this, on the selection screen click on the option search help. From the displayed list choose U - System user name. This helps you filter the hit list based on infotype 0105. You can enter the subtypes under Communication type and enter the various values you want to run the report for in ID/number.

<b>infotype module pool</b>
A module pool should be used with each infotype. This module pool is the main program for the maintenance interface for the info type.
The name of the program is MPnnnn00. Where P stands for Human Resources (personnel) and nnnn is the four-digit info type number.
Transparent table PAnnnn is required if you want to use an infotype within Personnel Administration.
If you want to use an infotype within Recruitment, transparent table PBnnnn is required.
In accordance with the distribution of infotype name ranges, objects P9nnn , PS9nnn , PA9nnn and PB9nnn are assigned to the customer name range.

A time constraint indicates whether more than one infotype record may be available at one time. The following time constraint indicators are permissible:
A Only one record may exist, valid from 01/01/1800 to 12/31/9999. Splitting and deletion is not permissible.
B Only one record may exist, valid from 01/01/1800 to 12/31/9999. Splitting is not permissible, but may be deleted.
T The time constraint varies depending on the subtype.
Z Refers to time management infotypes.

Start the Personnel Administration info type copier (PM01)
Enter the info type number.
Choose Enhance info type.
Start transaction PM01
You access the Create Info type screen:
Choose Enhance Info types.
In the Info type no. field, enter the four-digit number of the info type you want to create. When you specify the info type number, please remember to enter any leading zeros.
In the Sub-Objects group box, flag CI Include.
Choose Create. The Dictionary: Initial Screen is displayed.
Create the Cl include.
Choose Activate.
Return to the Create Info type screen.
Choose Create All.

I'm trying to create a query for MBO appraisals. But I've got no idea how the appraisal form (VA) and the employee (P) are assigned to each other.
The query should deliver the appraisal results for an employee and some additional data like company code, employee group and somthind like that of the employee.
But where is the link between the appraisal and the appraisee (employee)?
I expected to find it in infotyp 1001 but I can't find nothing.

Use logical database PCH and determine object type BA ie appraisal
You will get the list of related infotypes.
From where you can select infotypes according to your requirement.

Ranjith.The field ZEITB in the table T582A holds the time constraint of the Infotype.
1. Execute the transaction SE16
2. Click on the Table Contents button in the toolbar
3. Ensure that the Time Constraint field is available for selection
(If not availble, add the field by following the menu path Settings->Fields for selection)
4.Input the value of the time constraint (Ex: 1 or A)
5. Now, click on execute, the system lists all the infotypes with the selected time constraint.
