List of parameters for upc_dark2
Does anyone have a list or document of parameters you can use in the upc_dark2 table?
Thanks
Tim
Charles,
all relevant upc_dark2 parameters are documented in notes. Just do a search on "upc_dark2" and "FIN-SEM-BPS*". Yes, there are more parametes but they are not supported unless explicitly stated by SAP support or development.

List of all service parameters for Integrated ITS
Hi,
I am looking for the complete list of service parameters for Integrated ITS, with explanation about each of them. Ex: ~command, ~sap-user etc. I have tried searching in help.sap.com and in this forum and SDN blogs. I could find only some of them. I am not looking for anything particular right now. If I have the complete list it would help me to refer the list if I need any one in particular.
I would really appreciate if anybody can help me in this search.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhakar.Hello Sudhakar,
The best location for ITS Parameter documentation is the online SAP Library at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/54/4d9993c6592941a407313a6763575c/frameset.htm
Here under "Configuration" you will find a list of parameters for developers and administrators.

List of the available parameters for the various URL options
Hi all,
Where can I find a list of all of the available parameters for URL options such as OMRET0=XXXXX (OMRET0=ActivitiesList or OMRET0=Homepage). I’ve created a copy task weblink and want the destination after the copy is saved to be the newly created Task Details page. I'd also like more information about the other parameter options.
Thanks!Ok, I have found the solution:
Juste use "DefTaskNew" parameter after .../user/

Query to reterive the list of parameters and there values for scheduling
I am develeoping a web application using java sdk want to reterive a parameter list for scheduling.
i want a query that will reterive the list of parameters
as we see on the parameters screen in CMC when we schedule the report.// Loop through the parameters to get the parameter names and parameter values.
for(int i=1;i<=numberPrompts;i++)
// Each prompt has the name SI_PROMPT + a digit starting from 1. For example, if
// there are 2 prompts, the first one would be called SI_PROMPT1 and the second
// one would be called SI_PROMPT2.
IProperties prompt = (IProperties)siPrompts.getProperty("SI_PROMPT"+i).getValue();
// Get the parameter name.
String promptName = prompt.getProperty("SI_NAME").getValue().toString();
// Start displaying a row.
out.println("<tr>");
// First column in the row is the parameter name.
out.println("<td>Parameter Name = "+promptName+"</td><td><table>");
// Get the current values property bag.
IProperties currentValues = (IProperties)prompt.getProperty("SI_CURRENT_VALUES").getValue();
// Get the number of values for this particular parameter.
int numberValues = ((Integer)currentValues.getProperty("SI_NUM_VALUES").getValue()).intValue();
// Loop through all of the values for this particular parameter.
for(int j=1;j<=numberValues;j++)

How to get list of parameters or arguments for a stored procedure
Hi,
Is there a way we can get the list of arguments or parameters for a stored procedure through Data Dictionary?
I mean the way oracle has Meta Data tables like user_tables/dba_tables, user_triggers/dba_triggers through which we can get information about tables, triggers etc, in the same way is there a way in oracle so that we can get information about a procedure like what kind of arguments need to be passed, are they IN or OUT parameters, and what is their Data Types?
I could find there is one View dba_procedures, but it does not give any information about the arguments a procedure takes.
Thanks,

How to pass a list of parameters to a query?
Hi,
I use OracleXE 10 Database with JDeveloper 11g.
In my project I use a Toplink mapping to get access to the database (Toplink Object Map file). This mapping xml file is called crmMap.xml.
In the crmMap.xml file I define a mapping to a "User table" which has the four columns id (number), title (varchar2), firstName (varchar2) and lastName (varchar2). A title can have the four values Bachelor, Master, Doctor and Professor.
I do define a query in crmMap.xml which has to find all the users that have a special title. I do give the query one parameter called "title" which has the type "java.util.ArrayList". The parameter "title" is a list that has for example the two values "Bachelor" and "Doctor", if I want to find all the users that are Bachelor or Doctor. The query looks like this ...
Select * from User where title in(?title)I do use an EJB Session Bean to call the query. The code looks like this ...
public List<User> findUserByStatus() {
Session session = getSessionFactory().acquireSession();
Vector params = new Vector(1);
List stati = new ArrayList();
stati.add("Doctor");
stati.add("Bachelor");
params.add(stati);
List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);
session.release();
return result;
}Doing this I get an error, in the line
List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);while the app is trying to execute the query.

bind => [[Doctor,Bachelor]]Does anyone know a way how to pass a list of parameters
Thanks BodhyHi,
One alternative way is to create String with , sepearted as pass the string to in clause.For example ,create a string ('Bachelor','Doctor') and pass this string to in clause.
Session session = getSessionFactory().acquireSession();
String params=( 'Bachelor','Doctor);
List<User> result = (List<User>)session.executeQuery("findUserByStatus", User.class, params);
session.release();
This is an alternative way and workaround which can work for Strings .
Or you can use EXpression to build the query to pass the collection as example given below.
Expression addressExpression;
ReadObjectQuery query = new ReadObjectQuery(Employee.class);
ExpressionBuilder emp = query.getExpressionBuilder();
addressExpression =
emp.get("address").get("city").equal(
emp.getParameter("employee").get("address").get("city"));
query.setName("findByCity");
query.setSelectionCriteria(addressExpression);
query.addArgument("employee");
Vector v = new Vector();
v.addElement(employee);
Employee e = (Employee) session.executeQuery(query, v);
Hope this helps.

Discoverer Report - SQL Query to retrieve list of parameters
Hi
We have around 100 Discoverer reports and I'm trying to find the list of parameters used in each report.
Is there any SQL query that I can use to find the parameters used for each report
or
should I open the reports one by one to fetch the list of parameters used.
I checked the tables in EUL4_US schema but no luck.
- Amarnath.Kgive this a try for starters. It looks at the custom folders defined in the business area, which is where any LOV's defined for you parameters would be. As far as looking at the workbooks themselves, no, there is no way to do that in sql.

Where i have a List of dsRequest and RequestParams, where i can send any number of requests for Insert,Update. I have two a XML element defined in RequestParams "RowsEffected","error" where the result will be caputred and is updated
to the response XML.
I have 6 defined in RequestParams
EMP_SALARY(int),ACC_NO(int),EMP_CITY(string),EMP_NAME(string),EMP_CONTACT(string),EMP_JOM(string)
My Question is:
When i am trying to build response XML with the following code, the parameters which are not given in the Request XML are also appearing in the Response.
ResponseParams.Add(
newdsResponse()
ACTION = OriginalParams[a].ACTION,
SOURCE = OriginalParams[a].SOURCE,
Manager = OriginalParams[a].Manager,
RequestParams = OriginalParams[a].RequestParams
Where the OriginalParams is dsRequest
Ex: In my update query i will only send three parameters, but in my response building with ablove code, i am getting all the variables defined as INT in the RequestParameters.
Is there any way i can avoid this and build response with only the parameters given in the Request ??
Appreciate ur help..Thanks
Cronsey.Hi Kristin,
My project is, User will be giving the parameters in the excel, and using VBA, the values are captured and an XML is created in the above mentioned format and is send to web service for the Insert/Update.
I created a webservice which reads the values from <datacontract> and it consist of list of <dsRequests> where any number of Insert/Upate commands can be executed, with in which it contains a list of <RequestParams> for multiple insertion/Updation.
//function call
OriginalParams = generator.Function(query, OriginalParams);
where OriginalParams is List<dsRequest>
//inside function
command.Parameters.Add()// parameters adding
int
val = command.ExecuteNonQuery();
after the execution,an XML element is added for the response part.and it is looped for all the RequestParams.
OriginalParams[i].Result.Add(
newResult()
{ ERROR = "No Error",
ROWS_EFFECTEFD = 1 });
//once all the execution is done the response building part
for(inta
= 0; a < OriginalParams.Count; a++)
ResponseParams.Add(
newdsResponse()
Result = OriginalParams[a].Result
QUEST: When i am trying to build response XML with the following code, the parameters which are not given in the Request XML are also appearing in the Response.
Ex: In my update query i will only send three parameters, but in my response building with ablove code, i am getting all the variables defined as INT in the RequestParameters.
Is there any way i can avoid this and build response with only the parameters given in the Request ??
Appreciate ur help..Thanks

New FAQ Entry on JVM Parameters for Large Cache Sizes
I've posted a new [FAQ entry|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/faq/je_faq.html#60] on JVM parameters for large cache sizes. The text of it is as follows:
What JVM parameters should I consider when tuning an application with a large cache size?
If your application has a large cache size, tuning the Java GC may be necessary. You will almost certainly be using a 64b JVM (i.e. -d64), the -server option, and setting your heap and stack sizes with -Xmx and -Xms. Be sure that you don't set the cache size too close to the heap size so that your application has plenty of room for its data and to avoided excessive full GC's. We have found that the Concurrent Mark Sweep GC is generally the best in this environment since it yields more predictable GC results. This can be enabled with -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC.
Best practices dictates that you disable System.gc() calls with -XX:-DisableExplicitGC.
Other JVM options which may prove useful are -XX:NewSize (start with 512m or 1024m as a value), -XX:MaxNewSize (try 1024m as a value), and -XX:CMSInitiatingOccupancyFraction=55. NewSize is typically tuned in relationship to the overall heap size so if you specify this parameter you will also need to provide a -Xmx value. A convenient way of specifying this in relative terms is to use -XX:NewRatio. The values we've suggested are only starting points. The actual values will vary depending on the runtime characteristics of the application.

Edited by: Charles Lamb on Oct 22, 2009 9:13 AMFirst of all please be aware HSODBC V10 has been desupported and DG4ODBC should be used instead.
The root cause the problem you describe could be related to a timeout of the ODBC driver (especially while taking care of the comment: it happens only for larger tables):
(0) [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]MySQL server has gone away (SQL State: S1T00; SQL
(0) Code: 2006)
indicates the Driver or the DB abends the connection due to a timeout.
Check out the wait_timeout mysql variable on the server and increase it. -
