List View Justification incorrect after sorting

I am using a list view to display some data in Xcelsius SP3.  I have set the justification to 'Left' for the List View object and when the object is first display all numbers are correctly aligned.  However, if a sort is done by one of the column headings some numbers appear to shift further left than others.  This causes the data to look misaligned.  Anyone else experiencing this or have an idea of what may correct it?
Thanks

I downloaded and installed FixPack 3.4 for Xcelsius 2008 SP3 and re-created the SWF file but still had no luck.  The labels of the List View still do not align correctly when sorting or even scrolling in the table.  I have not yet opened a Support note in marketplace but plan on doing so soon.  I will update this message with the note # and any responses that I receive.
I have to believe with as much as the list view component is used that someone else has had this happen to them.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

  • Export to Excel is not working for List View Web Part after filtering using Query String parameters in SharePoint 2010

    Hi,
I am filtering SharePoint list view web part based on Query string parameter and I am doing Export to Excel by using following code.
    <a href="#" onclick="javascript:window.location='../_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?CS=109&Using=_layouts/query.iqy&List=0DC67399-BE11-48F3-ADFC-E911FB8B5845&View=54671412-3EFE-4281-835A-9EF747AE774E&CacheControl=1'"><img

Issue: Able to do Export to Excel when there are no filters applied on list view web part but if applied filters on web part and do export to excel , only header fields are displaying in the excel sheet.
I don't know why owssvr.dll is behaving like that .
    Please share your ideas.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create hyperlink to export to excel.
The URL to execute the export is as follows:
    {Site URL}/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?CS=109&Using=_layouts/query.iqy&List={List GUID}&View={View GUID}&CacheControl=1
After getting the GUID, you  need to “decode” the list GUID.
    Replace %7B with {
    Replace %2D with –
    Replace %7D with }

  • List view threshold and columns manage metadata problems

    Hi
We have problem in our company since we have more files in library than is set in List view Threshold.
I have created index on column "year" and create view filter: Year is equal 2015.
and I get famous error: this view cannot be displayed because....
I haven`t find any limitations on column type: manage metadata?

    Hi,
As I understand, you encountered the issue after you created view filter.
Every column type has the default number that can be created. You should go to check the number of your column created is less than the number by default.
Per my test, I can achieve it without exceeding list view threshold.
    Check things below:
    1. You can increase the number of the list view threshold, and after that, you can try again to see the same situation will occur.
    2. Go to create another managed metadata column “year”, and create index on column "year", and create view filter in the same list to see the issue will occur.
    3. Check ULS log to see the details about the cause of the issue.

  • List view sorting in Finder is sluggish, rendering it practically unuseable

I've noticed that whenever I set a Finder window to list view and then try and sort the different columns by ascending or descending order, the sorting often doesn't work or works but only after some time, typically 15–30 seconds. This is not acceptable on a new and supposedly fast iMac, or really any Mac. I have a MacBook Air running Mavericks and the Finder is not sluggish at all on that computer. I thought maybe this was due to one of the following:
OS X Mavericks bug (but then why don't I experience this on the MacBook Air?)
    Software conflict of some sort
Odd preference that is buried deep in my preferences somewhere
The maddening thing is that it does work sometimes, but other times it doesn't work and then a little while later it starts working. The unreliability is absolutely crazy making. It indicates to me some sort of software issue (either a conflict with some software that I have or an OS bug). I should mention here that I have Dropbox installed, and I saw on some other forum post that there were some Finder related issues with Dropbox, so maybe it has something to do with that (but again, the MacBook Air also has Dropbox installed and no sluggish Finder sorting there).
Or, I noticed that the list view columns in Mavericks appears greyed out, and this was not the case with OS X Lion (my previous Mac had Lion, and the Finder sorting was rock solid). This leads me to an alternate theory that some preference somewhere is set incorrectly, but this doesn't explain the unreliability.
I have double-checked the obvious things:
Finder View options (I have selected Arrange by: None and Sort by: Name as the defaults for list view, as well ticked the columns to show when in list view, and yes, I'm not calculating file size)
Power Nap is off (someone somewhere on the interwebs mentioned that Power Nap makes the Finder go to sleep and this could explain the delays in sorting)
Has anyone else had a problem with sorting in list view? I use this quite a bit to find the most recent files in sometimes very long lists of files. It's an essential file management tool for me and I'm hoping there is a relatively easy fix.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • How can I get a list view after selecting "see all"?

I just updated to iTunes 12.  I've looked on the net for this but couldn't find anything on it.
Previously when I searched for something in the iTunes store I'd pick a certain category of media (podcasts, for example).  It would give me the first few results and then I could select "see all."  Then get a list view and sort it.
Now when I click on "see all" I get an album cover view.  NOT a list view.  And I have no way to sort the results.  I usually sort by time.
What's odd is when I'm still on the initial page you get after making a search I *can* sort the results.  But only the first 10.
Basically, I need a way to sort all of my search results by time.  Either after selecting "see all" or having iTunes show many more than 10 results.
This was possible (and the default, I think) in previous versions.  I've looked through every menu and I don't see a way to turn this functionality back on.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
There is no such PowerShell command can achiev this. Maybe you can use a script to get the user name with folder redirection enabled. However, I am not familiar with writing script, and it would be better for you to ask in script forum below for professional

  • GUI Bug Outlook 2013 while sorting E-Mail in the list view in the main window

    Hello,
I found a bug in Outlook 2013 - following occures: in main window, when I sort the list view with e-mails by "sent to" or by "received from" and when I delete one mail from this list, the view is not correct, because after the deleted
E-Mail disapears when I go with my mouse Cursor over other e-mails in the list Outlook 2013 shows all mails from the top of the list (beginning in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order) as I move with mouse over neighbour mails from the corrected view
instead of the same view with only that one item deleted. The scroll element right has the right Position, but after clicking on the arrow up or arrow down within this element it jumps to the start. This has worked in my Outlook 2010 well, and this is very
unpleasant because I can not work well everytime sorting my mails right again after I deleted one. This seems to be only the case if I sort my mails by Name, not if sorted by size or received/sent date, then list view works well. I use Windows 7 Ultimate x64
and Office 2013 x32, on HP6910 with ATI graphics Card. Whole System works fine since years. Is there any log file I can submit? Is my description clear? Please help , thanks.

  • Sort order when using "Album by Artist/Year" album list view

In iTunes 10, I seem to have lost the sorting I've been using for the past 5 years at least. I use the "Album List" view, and have the album artwork showing to the left of the songs. I see the new "Album by Artist/Year" sort option in the album artwork column, and that is how I would like it to sort. However, now the album are arranged by artist, and within the artist by the year they were released as tagged in the info for each song. I want the newest albums at the top, and I cannot figure out how to make it sort that way. What do I need to do? Basically I want it in descending order by release date, but still sorted by album.

    dannycorker wrote:
It appears they are, although I refuse to believe this is the accepted behaviour - has no one else complained about this?
It could simply be a weakness is the way this was all designed. If you look at the information Gracenote uses, it's not unusual for all tracks on a 60's compilation album to be incorrectly listed as the same year, often the year the compilation was released. The same thing tends to happen with re-issued albums. That's down to whoever inputs the information into Gracenote for that album, often a bored record company employee.
First of all, you could try changing the year for each documentary to the year the album was produced and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then you have to decide how to handle it.
    Accept it as it is.
Change the year for the documentary to the same year as the album and simply kid yourself that it's the correct year. (I'm not being flippant, but if the documentary is all footage from album release year, then "technically", the doumentary is from that 60's year.)
Leave the year of the documentary track blank, but put the year (2010) into the track's "Comments" field instead.
Propose a workable solution to Apple via Apple Feedback. (I am being a bit flippant now. Sorry, but you'll be in for a long wait before anything might change.)
Get Gracenote to change their text fields, get the people who input the information into Gracenote to do so correctly and then get Apple to change iTunes to recognise those changes. (Now I am being very flippant. Good luck with this one!) Oh! And hope Apple never decide to change from Gracenote to someone else!
Number 2 or 3 are probably your best bet.

  • Sort by Artist / Date in List View

I like to have my albums sorted by Artist and then chronologically by Release Date
This is fine in Grid View as i can sort by Artist and within that by Date.
But when i switch to List View it sorts by Artist and within that by Album Title.
There doesn't appear to be an option to specify a secondary sort field in List View.
I could live with this in iTunes since I browse in Grid Mode
but I presume it will download to my ipod in List View.
So am i missing a trick here - is there a way around this?

I lose sleep over this oversight by Apple.
Would you like some suggestions of where you can get help for that? Economy is in the toilet, people are out of work, losing thier homes, can't retire after working for decades, etc. but that a couple albums released in the same calendar year don't sort in order of release in iTunes...
    delia0027 wrote:
How can this be? They are so particular about everything and they don't see this as a problem for serious music people?
I can remember before there was such a thing as iTunes and people actually listened to their music and enjoyed it. It didn't matter when they last heard the song, how many times they have heard it, didn't have to write down which were their favorites and which were not, we just knew which ones we liked, etc.. Not anymore. Now people are concerned more with how many times a song has been played, ranking their library in order of their favorites, being sure to know when they last played some song, the order of two albums released in 1968 (even though the "serious music people" should just know that), etc.
It makes me wonder if people actually listen to their music anymore since they seem much too busy cataloging, sorting, rating, and making sure their playcounts get updatred correctly. I honestly think iTunes may have messed up the way people listen to and enjoy music now. It is kind of sad really.

  • Inconsistent and incorrect file icons in finder window list view

I have been seeing incorrect file icons in finder windows noteably for PDF files the last couple of weeks on my office MacMini running 10.5.8. Some just look messed up. Some switched and looked like Evernote files, but they open correctly in the default application - Preview.
Get info would show the same incorrect icon, but correctly show Preview as the default application.
Just now I tried clicking on CoverFlow view and when I went back to List view, the icons looked correct again.
What type of system maintenance if any is needed to correct this issue? Note, these files continue to display correctly on my home iMac where these files are synced.
    AndrewML

    Thanks for the reply Baltwo.
I followed your directions. After the restart the PDF icons were all displayed correctly.
However, some .doc file icons were blank. Selected one, got info, set it to open with MSWord and then clicked "apply to all." Most, but not all now display the Word logo. Some remain blank, although get info reveals they are set to open with Word. Will another restart fix this or is there another suggestion?
I will be away from this computer till Monday.

  • Calendar List View Sort Order

If I have two appointments set to the same time and length on the calendar, the sort order on the "month" view is sorted based on the title (this is great and what I am looking for). If I go to the "day" view or the "list" view the sort order appears to be random. I have tried to figure out what the sort order is for the list view and the day view but no luck.
I am using a second calendar in Outlook for tasks and setting all items to the same time and length. I can then create a task list that syncs to the iphone. Just can't get the sorting figured out.

    Hi,
I have the same issue since one week ago (iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.0.2).
Only 2 calendars on my Exchange mailbox are synced. Items show correctly on the day and month view, but in list view (which I use most), some of them appear under a wrong date. Annoying !
After restart and/or remove/add of calendars, list view takes a long time to 'load'. switching to day view and the back to list makes it appear (but unfortunately with the same problem).

  • New (8.0.0) vs. old (7.x.x) sorting of albums in the list view

    Hi!
I am having a few little issues with the new classification system in iTunes 8.0.
I have just changed for the first time the album name of a few songs I imported after updating to 8.0. The album name of the CD was starting with "The". After renaming the CD, I have noticed that whenever I try to punch the name of the album directly in the Albums column in the Browser pane of the List view, I can't find it. But, if I strip the "The" from the name of the album, therefore basically punching on my keyboard whatever comes after the "The", I can find it right away. This was not the behavior found in iTunes 7.x, which somehow confuses me now. But, another problem comes up when typing the name of the songs I imported in iTunes 7.x and before. Their album names are still classified as the "The" being part of the Album name. This means that everything I had before upgrading is still behaving as if I was in iTunes 7.x (but in iTunes 8.0), and everything I imported after the update is behaving in the new fashion. I tried renaming a few "old" albums (7.x) in 8.0, and they are now sorted with the new 8.0 style.
I also don't like the new Grid view, as I can't seem to be able to type in to go directly to an album, even when the Album tab is selected. I always end up instead on artists having names similar to the album I'm looking for...
Is there a way to circumvent this new (re)naming "automation"? I like to find my albums the way their name appear on their respective album art...
Anyways, I hope I am the only one being affected by this changing, as I will find myself utterly confused, or will be forced to rename every album starting with "The" I have in my iTunes library which, by the way, seems to be a very popular way of naming albums nowadays!
    Thank you, Martin
P.S. Sorry for the double post, I didn't put it in the right section at first...

    Hi,
As of now, your authorizations still in 3.x. so please check the below tables.

RSSBAUTHGENERATD - it have user name and info provider
    RSSBAUTHTRACE
    RSSBAUTHTRUSER
    RSSBAUTVAL
    RSSAUTHHIER

Coming to 7.x , Above mentioned T code kumar is enough to handle authorization concepts.

  • How do I get my calendar to "list" view after 7.0 iPhone update?

I did the update to 7.0 on my phone. Now I can't view my events in what used to be called 'list' where all it displays is ALL existing events, dates &amp; times. The only thing I'm finding is I have to scroll through empty hours of the day to get to my event. Then it doesn't give me an exact time. It's a shaded area between 2 hours. If I have something scheduled at 7:15PM, I have to scroll through the WHOLE day to get to it &amp; then it's shaded a little after the 7 o'clock hour. Is that shading 7:15 or 7:30?? I need to know at a quick glance my schedule for the next few days &amp; what exact times they are scheduled. I COULD do this before the update. Is there a way to get to 'list' view with 7.0? Or at least have it display only scheduled events when selecting a particular day? (Which I could also do before the update.)

Yes, the magnifying glass shows the list view. Thank you. But the Notification Center does NOT show the list view. It's still the shaded blocks of time with it stating at the top "The first thing on your calendar today is...". Not the true 'list' view like it was before the update.

  • How do you change the sort order of a Stack on the Dock in List view?

I want to change the 'Date Added' sort in the list view mode of a stack from descending to ascending.
I have the Downloads stack sorted by 'Date Added', however I would like to reverse the order of this sorting. When I open the stack, it shows the oldest files at the bottom and newest files at the top. Since there are many hundreds of files, the newest files are actually hidden and I must scroll up to access them. When I access this folder I want to see the most recent files first, at the bottom of the list nearest the stack icon, not the files I downloaded years ago.
I prefer to use the traditional List view for Stacks because it is faster (no animations or loading preview icons) and easier to navigate visually. Please do not suggest a different view mode such as fan view or use-new-list-stack.

Have you tried changing the list with the numbers? (See the screen shot)

  • How can I view my Calendar on iPhone 5 in a continuous List view i.e.: View many days at a time by scrolling? Lost that ability after 7.1 upgrade.

March 20, 2014 I updated the software on my iPhone 5 to version 7.1. After doing that, I discovered that I could NO longer view my Calendar items in a continuous list view. I can only view items I've put on my calendar under the Month view for EACH day at a time. This is Awful !  Is there ANY way I can view items in a continuous list where I can Scroll? That was available prior to this update?
Thanks in advance for any Help and/or Suggestions.

That helped, but still did not solve the "continous scroll" question.
I did however discover that if you go to Search and type in a "common" letter like "s", a Continuous List view will appear.
Any further help on how to do this as a default view would be appreciated from any and all.
Thanks for the help and for the link paulcb.

  • List view webpart sorting and filtering requires sign-in.

I have a list view webpart on a page - both the page and the list are viewable to anonymous users.  The page loads great, but as soon as an anonymous user tries to sort, filter, or use the stock list search box, a login prompt is encountered.  Is
    there a way around this?

    Hi,
For your issue, I have done a test in SharePoint 2013, and it works fine, I can’t reproduce your issue.
Navigate to Central Administration ->Application Management->Manage web applications-> Select the web applications and click the “Authentication providers”->Click “Default” link
“->Check the “Enable anonymous access” option->save
Navigate to one of the site collections under the configured web application and go to Configure -> Site Settings-> Under the “Users and permissions” section, click the Site
permissions->click Anonymous Access in the Ribbon->In this dialog you have three configuration options, I checked Entire Web site.
Whether the issue occurs in every site collection. Do a test in another site collection, compare the results.
