Listener for new incoming SMS

Hi,
Can you tell me how to make or use (may be a library ) a listener that can response if an incoming sms received.
Thanks.

What's the listener that listens for new tabs being
added to JTabbedPane?ContainerListener

  • Listening for new cachings getting created?

    I'd like to be able to register my own MBeans on each distributed CacheServer for each cache that lives on that server. Is it possible to register a listener anywhere that gets called when a new cache gets created? Alternatively, is it possible to register a listener that is called after the cache factory has finished starting all the "autostart" caches?
    I'm using version 3.3
    thanks
    sam
    ps - I'm already registering my own custom global mbeans... but they are created before any of the caches get created.

    Sam
    You can specify your custom CacheFactory class in the override file so you can still use DefaultCacheServer
    When I needed to intercept cache creation I extended DefaultConfigurableCacheFactory and overrode this method:
    public NamedCache configureCache(CacheInfo cacheInfo, XmlElement xmlScheme, ClassLoader classLoader)
    Then just call the super class version before or after doing whatever you need to.
    The XML for the override file looks like this
    <coherence>
         <configurable-cache-factory-config>
              <class-name>com.oracle.coherence.common.configuration.AdvancedConfigurableCacheFactory</class-name>
              <init-params>
                   <init-param>
                          <param-type>java.lang.String</param-type>
                          <param-value system-property="tangosol.coherence.cacheconfig">coherence-cache-config.xml</param-value>
                   </init-param>
              </init-params>
         </configurable-cache-factory-config>
    </coherence>The above snippet is taken from the Incubator common library. You would replace com.oracle.coherence.common.configuration.AdvancedConfigurableCacheFactory with the name of your class.
    You need to call the override file tangosol-coherence-override.xml and put it on the class path or if you call it anything else then specify the name as a JVM argument with -Dtangosol.coherence.override=<name of your file>

  • Listening for new/removed NetworkInterfaces at runtime?

    Hey everybody good morning,
    Are there any good solutions or libraries for detecting dynamically at run-time when a new NetworkInterface gets created(or removed) - due to things such as the end-user physically plugging in a new Ethernet rj45 cable into their NIC(s)?
    Does java provide any listeners to use that would receive an event being fired when a new NetworkInterface has been created / made available?
    Right now, I have to run a thread and call NetworkInterface.getNetworkInterfaces() at my predefined interval of seconds throughout the lifetime of the program (which is wasting cpu/memory resources)
    I also have to do this to detect when a NetworkInterface has been "taken away" / made unavailable.
    Thanks!

    I'm not sure your typical operating system offers a signaling mechanism for unplugged network cables.
    Right now, I have to run a thread and call NetworkInterface.getNetworkInterfaces() at my predefined interval of seconds throughout the lifetime of the program (which is wasting cpu/memory resources)I tried NetworkInterface.getNetworkInterfaces() on a couple of computers. On Windows one call to that method took about 0.001 seconds, on Linux about 0.00007 seconds. If done every few seconds, that is a rather insignificant percentage of CPU time. Are you sure you have a problem with resource waste?

    Same problem for me!!
    I allways used an E52 with PC-Suite which showed me the incomming call notifications on my laptop.
    Now with a new E6, I have to use OVI and there are no notifications anymore.Which is really annoying in a bussy office environment!
    So please provide us with a solution, because I think you are losing a (unique selling point here).

  • Listen for HTTP Post in Flex

    Hello,
    I just have a simple question.  In my Flex program, I am trying to find a way to listen for an incoming HTTP POST message - something with functionality similar to that of the HttpListener class in C#.  I have not been able to find anything at all to help with this though, would anyone know of something like this?
    Thanks.

    My Flex program subscribes to changes that occur in a program on remote server.  The change notifications are sent back to my client in the form of an HTTP Post message.  The Flex program needs to be able to detect when these Posts are received.

  • Why does Mail 'check for new messages' despite it being set to 'manual'?

    I want to only receive new email either once per hour or better still manually (once or twice during the day at a time chosen by me). That way I won't be bombarded with emails all day and can get on with my work.
    So, I set the 'check for new messages' to 'manually'.
    Nevertheless I get email coming in frequently. Possibly every time I send an email, it also checks for new incoming mail (I'm not sure but that's my hunch).
    How can I stop Mail from pulling in my new incoming email?
    Any answers to this? If I can't figure this out or it's not possible in Apple Mail, it might be time to switch (but I don't want to!)
    Thanks in advance
    Dan

    Thanks Linc, works great.
    There should be a hint for this in Mail's preferences, underneath the 'check for messages' option

  • Listening for incoming call or sms using midlet...

    how to listen to an incoming call or sms using midlet/midp??
    so, when there's an incoming call, that listener will invoke a midlet that will run as the display screen for the incoming call (like a wallpaper)...and after the call is finished/rejected, the midlet will be destroyed...
    reply soon...i need this for my task...

    Hi,
    You can invoke the application through SMS and that also when the SMS are sent to the port the application has registered. As far as invloking the application on incoming call is concerned, I dont think j2me supports it. Try using push registry for autostarting the application through SMS.

  • New Income tax slab for FY 2013-14 / AY 2014-15-Not working in SAP

    Dear Consultants,
    According to Indian Govt New Income tax slab for FY 2013-14 / AY 2014-15,
    Taxable Income in 10% slab maximum tax will be Rs 28000 (taking 2000 tax credit
    into consideration) is there any SAP note to be apply for this condition, Please do needful.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Navesh

    Dear Friends,
    My issue is closed, by applying the below note. this will be useful for others in future
    SAP NOTE :- 1850965
    As per the Union Budget 2013 - 2014, for individuals having a taxable income less than 5 Lac, a tax credit of INR 2,000 would be given. While executing payroll (TCode: PC00_M40_CALC_SIMU) for employees, when a cross financial year retro is triggered from previous year, tax credit amount is being generated. However, it is not reducing the overall tax liability of the employee. This behavior is incorrect. For an employee 'X' a cross financial retro is triggered. After considering the cross FY arrears, employees' taxable income comes out to be less than 5 Lac. In this case, a tax credit of INR 2,000 is generated. Suppose, the overall tax liability of employee 'X' was INR 10,000, then even after tax credit his liability remains 10,000. Tax liability for employee shall become INR 8,000 (10,000 - 2,000).
    To apply this Note Need to apply the HR Support Package : Release 604, Package Name: SAPK-60462INSAPHRCIN
    Thanks & Regards,

    i have installed 10g cluster (10.2.0.2) and i have cretaed new 10g home and cretaed listener (with port ) and cretaed UAT database
    No issues on the above
    DEV Instance:
    Now we have another database DEV and for this i have differnt oracle home (not same as UAT) and i created databases and converted to RAC but i want this database to be registered in the 10g existing cluster and the listener also i want to have new one with different port (not same as UAT)
    so when we try to cretae new listener from new DB home it's throwing error.
    "CRS-0215: could not start resource"
    so please let me know how to

    Hi,
    Is the database part of the cluster or not?
    srvctl config database -d ... to find out if not add it to cluster
    srvctl add database -d and then the instances
    srvctl add instance -d dbname -i instance name

  • Keeping a simple server open/listening for more than one connection

    Can someone please help me with a problem I am having. I'm running a server that accepts requests and processes data from a client. This program works FINE for one connection but as soon as I send the info to the server the connection closes and I have to manually restart the server to receive another connection from a client. I want to be able to keep the server open and accept multiple requests from the client without having to restart the server.java. I've looked in the forum and found some useful stuff but I still get this same error:
    Address in use: JVM_Bind
    Error during serialization
    Press any key to continue...
    I have included the code to my server.java file below. Like I said, it works perfectly for one connection but then closes down. Can anyone tell me where I need to add the code to make it stay open or if I even can. Seems unlogical that it wouldn't be able to. I'm just at a dead end on how to do it. Thanks in advance.

    Hi! I suggest you to use different thread to realize a server functionality.
    First one server.java that has a main method and create at least two threads. One thread listens to the incoming connection request and stores the locally generated socket object into an static vector. The second thread will always look into this static vector. If there are sockets object in the vector, the second thread will take it out and process the connection request. These two threads should always be alive. The first thread lives in a endless loop while listening to the incoming connection request. The second thread is either waiting on the static vector or processing incoming connection request.
    If the expected incoming connection request will be too many for only one thread to process, you can create more threads in server.java at the beginning and they will all swith between two status: looking in the static vector or processing incoming connection request!
    Hope this will be help for you!

  • MBW-150 - enlarging display of incoming SMS wording

    I've recently purchased an MBW-150 watch, which I'm running with my Galaxy S phone via the OpenWatch app.  There are settings to change the way in which status-info is displayed (i.e. as just 1 line or on 2 lines), but I can't see a similar setting with which to change how incoming SMS texts are displayed.  They always display on 2 lines at a time, but I'd like to be able to change it to just 1 line (i.e. thus doubling the font size), in order to make it easier to read. Anyone know how?  Thanks.

    Unfortunately by default there is no way to change this setting on the watch.
