Little help with the x-fi exstream mu

hi all
ok here is the lowdown i have one off these card x-fi xstreem music and updated to vista ultimate
last month x-fi card on xp rocked like hell but on vista it seems realy **bleep**e i have the lastest drivers installed SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_5_0003 along with the other ALXF_PCVTAPP_LB__00_
seems i now have no suround sound in any off the option mode i use (but the mic problem is fixed)
any advice would be great to solve this problem
system specs
os windows vista ultimate (all updated)
asus crossair mobo
sparkle 8800gtx (lastest updates)
4gig ddr2
5. logitech speakers

oh not had the problem with the bsod yet touch wood
but with the lastest drivers i tryed to uninstall then removed from regstiy and i still had sound after a reboot WTF. now all speakers work in game so why wont they work in my media player ?
also are there any drivers i can use witch are good till CL sort these issues out

If you want to use the preset gradients, what you could do is first color whatever area you intend to with one of them, and then select the fill and use the Color panel to change the red to whatever other color you prefer. If you have never worked with the gradient section of the Color panel, you will probably find it a bettter tool to create and fine-tune transitions.
You just doubleclick that little red square in the lower left and it opens a color swatch like the one you showed to select another color

Little help with the G5 please!

I have had my 5G ipod for a while now, and have had very few problems.
Recently, I charged my ipod as usual and unplugged it the next morning to a full battery picture across the entire screen. I could not shut off the ipod. I tried all of the normal tricks and tried connecting it to my computer, but no matter what I do/did the ipod still shows a full battery icon. It died after a few hours, so I tried charging it again. Even during charging it showed the full battery icon.
Is there something wrong with the ipod or did I do something wrong?

try doing what i call RCDC.
RCDC (Restore, Charge, Drain, Charge)
1) RESTORE your iPod
2) CHARGE your iPod
3) DRAIN your iPod (to do this play you music while you sleep)
4)re-CHARGE your iPod
Doing so should re-calibrate your battery. This should work.

Creating a card dealing animation - Need a little help with the Math

Hi Guys,
This isn't a Java specific query per se but your advice would be greatly appreciated in order to add animation to Java card game I've developed.
If I've posted this in the wrong forum, please let me know and I'll re-post it elsewhere.
What I am trying to achieve is card dealing animation whereby a card is show moving from the deck position to its final position.
The trouble I am having is how to achieve the path from where the card is dealt from to its final dealt position.
Could somebody please point me to the right Math?
A visual representation of what I am trying to achieve is at the below link:

The black square represents the deck. The red square represents where the next card is dealt to with an animation showing the card leaving the deck and following a specific path to its final position in one of the red squares.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you make a mathematically clean even animation from point A to point B, it looks artificial. Our brains are designed to spot tiny details. You can see this in the development of (hand-drawn) animation: early cartoons looked too smooth; later (by the 30's I think) animators learned tricks to make things seem more realistic or at least visually engaging.
So if you look at the frames of a character moving, sometimes the first frame in the movement goes in the opposite direction of the larger motion. I believe you'd want something like this when the action is supposed to be driven by a conscious mind, as opposed to, say, a physics simulation.
Applying this... if you're dealing cards, maybe the cards will leave the deck first moving in the opposite direction for a couple frames, then going in the correct direction, to make it look like a dealer is moving them. I'm just brainstorming ideas here.
If you get a book on traditional animation techniques, it'll probably have some good ideas.

I need a little help with the console

Ok, I'm writing a calender class, and i have an add method in it. It basically adds a certain number of days to a certain date and tells you what you get. I'm having some problems getting it to work right so I'm debugging it by having it print out every date as it adds one. Well, the dates I have to use for school (yeah it's a project) are 7 years apart (to include 2 leap years), but when I run the test program the console window is only so big and I can only read what it printed about 6 months back. Anyone know how to make the console window bigger?

I agreed and recieved my next statement and to my suprise my bill actually went up 15$ a month and i talked to several people and they all told me there is nothing that can be done to get back on the plan i was on and they can not even give me a discount to get me back to what i was paying. They can only offer me a convenience credit. I will be cancelling service.

If you look at the detailed billing online of your previous bill do you see any additional charges other then the plan?

st question? Im using opt out port on the xfi ti. card and using digital li've on a windows 7 64 bit system,? I would like to know why when i use 5. or 7. and i check to make sure each speakear is working the rear speakers wont sound off but the sr and sl will in replace of the rear speakers. I did a test tone on my sony amp and the speaker are wired correctly becasue the rear speakers and the surrond? left and right sound off when they suppose too. Also when i try to click on? the sl and sr in the sound blaster control panel they dont work but if i click on the rear speakers in the control panel the sl and sr sound off. Do anyone know how i can fix this? So i would like to know why my sl and sr act like rears when they are not?
2nd question? How do i control the volume from my keyboard or from windows period when using opt out i was able to do so with my on board? sound max audio using spidf? Now i can only control the audio using the sony receiver.

Need a little help with syncing my iPod.

I got a new macbook pro for cristmas and a few cds. After i tried to sync my ipod to itunes i put a symbol next to each song that i got from other cds saying that they were downloading but they werent. Also the cds i downloaded to my ipod for the first time didnt appear at all. Need help.

A little problem with the "Audio-MIDI Config" for my Edirol "FA-101"

Hi to all of you!
I bought an Edirol "FA-101" a couple weeks ago, and when I try to plug and record with many mics, from the backside inputs, it seems that these inputs don't give me the "punch" I need. I mean by that that I have to go trough my old Tascam "M-30" in way to use the preamps from the mixer, so I can have a little more input "volume", and then, plug the direct output from the mixer and then plug it in the back inputs of the "FA-101".
I was wondering why do I need to do that? Cause when I take a look at the "Audio-MIDI Config" (I do work in french, so, apologize for any translations errors), the "AMC" window don't show any inputs as "selectable", and, or, "ajustable". Now, I have to explain that I had some problems in the past, when installing QT 7. I tried to remove QT 7, but I think I removed some files, maybe importants ones. So, now, what I want to know, is if that setup is normal, and impossible to configure, or is it MacOS Panther 10.3.9 that need a reinstall?
And I have to say that GB and Logic Express both recognize the "FA-101" as audio inputs. But need a little help from the mixer.

The inputs on the back of the Edirol unit are LINE LEVEL inputs, meaning they are require a high level of voltage to give a level. A microphone plugged directly into this input will not give you the required voltage, if you were to plug either the outputs of a mixing desk or something like a CD player into it you would get a level.
First of all you must use a microphone preamplifier, like the ones on the front panel. There are thousands of companies producing these and it shouldn't be hard to find them. You could also use any mixing desk which has multiple outputs, so as to split the channels out to the relevant channels in logic.

Get rid of Sophos Anti-Virus software you have installed. Use the uninstaller or:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.

Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead. Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:

You may have a Safari third party add on installed that was compatible with the previous version of Safari but not 5.1. Try troubleshooting > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

I've taken a photo with my Canon DSLR. When I opened the raw with ACDSee, the colour looks perfectly ok.
So I go ahead and open in photoshop. I did nothing to the photo. It still looks ok
Then I'm prompt the Embedded Profile Mismatch error. I go ahead and choose Discard the embedded profile option
And the colour started to get messed up.
And the output is a total diasater
Put the above photo side by side with the raw, the red has became crimson!!
So I tried the other option, Use the embedded profile
The whole picture turns yellowish in Photoshop's interface
And the output is just the same as the third option.
Could someone please guide me how to fix this? Thank you.

always use the embedded profile when opening tagged images in Photoshop - at that point Photoshop will convert the source colors over to your monitor space correctly
if your colors are wrong at that point either your monitor profile is off, or your source colors are not what you think they are - if other apps are displaying correctly you most likely have either a defective monitor profile or source profile issues

Need help with the Vibrance adjustment in Photoshop CC 2014.
Anytime I select Vibrance to adjust the color of an image. The whole image turns Pink in the highlights when the slider is moved from "0" to - or + in value. Can the Vibrance tool be reset to prevent this from happening? When this happens I cn not make adjustments...just turns Pink.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, that does reset to “0” and the Pink does disappear.
But as soon as I move the slider +1 or -1 or higher the image turns Pink in all of the highlights again, rather than adjusting the overall color.
