I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but maybe someone has seen or noticed this before and I'd rather post here than on th chrome forums, because I am certain they will just discard the issue by blaming it on a lack of knowledge on the OS sooner than later. that said...
Hello, I've noticed that whenever I open a chromium window I get 3 instances of chromium in my processes list.
That is to say, for each tab that is open on chromium, I will have 3 chromium processes with a distinct PID. Killing any of them will close chromium, of course, but the question is, why?
Isn't it supposed to be just one process per tab? Unless there is something I don't know about how chromium is currently handling it's processes... Which is why I'm here... Could it be the plugins I am using? Like pepper-flash, creating another instance of chromium for some reason I'm not aware of?

However, looking at top, I have 3 instances of chromium (sometimes just 2, but even then, we want 1 per tab), and only one tab open...
Any light anyone could shed on this is appreciated. Maybe it is just something silly I am missing in terms of information...

I have a little issue with firefox Aurora, ive just installed a thing called a custopack that changes the look of windows 7

and now when I high light any thing in Aurora a little speech bubble would come up with information inside, but now there is no information just a black speech bubble, but what bugs me is that it still works the way it should in internet explorer, I dont wanna go back to useing that crap after so many years using the best browser, I would like to show some pictures of this but there is no option to upload a picture.

First of all thanks for the replay, I did try turning off use hardware acceleration but it still has not helped, I do understand that Aurora is in beta, but are we not supposed to report bugs and issues.
When I was first posting this issue there was no option to add a picture only now after I have posted it, the option this there not sure why I could not of done this in the first place as im sure it would of help you out. But thanks again for your help :)

Annoying little issue with streaming and syncing.

My Macbook is connected to two external hard drives which are hosts to all my movie and tv show files. These files make up my iTunes library so when I sync content the files are copied from my external HD's to my ATV. Some are copied and some I stream. I therefore have a massive library on the ATV selection under "My Movies" and "My TV Shows".
However, when I shutdown iTunes. All the content still shows up in the menus. Those that are synced can obviously be played but those that are not synced and played by streaming, still appear on the menu but obviously can't be played.
This is very annoying. I can't keep track of how many of the hundreds of movie files have been synced and which ones haven't. Before the latest update, the files that were not synced would disappear from the many once iTunes was shut down but now it appears they still remain there.
Any fix for this issue? And no, I don't want to tick "Show only synced items on my Apple TV" because then I can't stream anymore.

Issue with active window

I have a little issue with active/inactive windows
For exemple when I use GIMP, this software is on 3 different windows... so my problem is:
when I'm on the image window drawing lines and I want to switch the pen..
I have to click on the tools window to active it then select the pen
And to go back on the image window and draw I have to click on the image window to active it then clic again to use the pen...
Is there a way to bypass the "Click to active the window" step?
Like click to draw, click to select a new tools and click back on the image window to draw...

Need a little help with AE

Hi all, I’m having a little issue with After Effects. I’m a second year Computer Games Design Student and I’m in the process of wrapping up my various modules for the year.
One of my modules is 3D and animation, I’ve rendered my final animation out as PNG’s. There are enough to run at 24 frames a second to suit the 22 second audio clip. When I put the images into After Effects as a PNG sequence the sequence is only 18 seconds long, and renders out at 18 seconds.
I set the composition to 22 seconds long and made the frame rate 24 seconds when I first started the comp. I have a layer of the PNG’s ( The frames you’ll see) and a second layer of PNG’s (A Zdepth render from 3D Studio Max) to create a depth of field effect.
How do I get those PNG’s to render out at the speed I want? They always render out too quickly.
This will probably turn out to be something really simple, I apologise if it is! I tried looking online for other people asking, but I’ve got too many deadlines in the next week and can’t afford to spend time looking around. I’d greatly appreciate if someone could give me a hand.

I am one of those whose mileage has varied.
Lots of little annoying things - experiencing on even as I'm typing on the iPad. It is slower, I have keyboard delays - sometimes incredibly long delays, Safari crashes regularly, I can't get the Emoji keyboard to work anymore. It did work in iOS 4.3.5 as a third party app but does not work at all as a preinstalled keyboard, switching from app to app is much longer now than in iOS 4. Spell check no longer works in Safari - other apps yes - but not in Safari. Little issues with contacts app - can no longer custom title email addresses on new contacts.
One of the absolutely most annoying things is that when I try to delete only one character as I am typing text, the delay is so long that I end up deleting two or three characters - even if I only hit the delete key one time.
No issues that make the iPad unusable, certainly, but too many annoying little quirks that were not there in my perfectly operating iPad prior to the update.
I am hoping for another update soon.

Bug with chromium?? [Solved]

HI guys.
I have a small issue with Chromium. It will not pass .torrent files to Deluge. It simply downloads them and leaves them in my downloads folder. From the command line, i've tried opening the file with mimeopen, xdg-open and exo-open. In all cases, Deluge started the download.
I have export DE=xfce in my .xinitrc file. Environment is openbox.
I have mozplugger installed to be able to open .ICA links (Citrix) to connect to work.
Any ideas?

It -was- mozplugger that was getting in the way. If anyone has the same issue, here's a way around it. i'm not totally sure about the mozplugger switches but it seems to work well enough.
The result is that clicking on a .torrent file will show a blank file in chromium, but the deluge torrent dialog will correctly open. No torrent files are left in downloads. I haven't tried it but i'm sure "deluge-gtk" could be replaced with mimeopen to use the torrent client of your choice instead
add these two lines at the end of /etc/mozpluggerrc:
application/x-bittorrent:torrent: Bittorrent file
repeat noisy fill exits : /usr/bin/deluge-gtk $file

I'm having a few issues with Safari, can anyone help?

I'm having a few annoying little issues with Safari at the moment, hopefully someone can help and it'll be an easy fix, but I'm stumped at the moment.
1. Every time I close and quit Safari it freezes and I have to 'force quit' the app. Not the biggest of problems but it's a little annoying.
2. Once I open Safari back up it reloads with whatever window was open when I quit, even if my Mac has been turned off.
3. Safari is eating up a lot of my RAM at the moment. 'Activity Monitor' is telling me it's taking up between 2-6GB of Memory.
Anybody have any ideas?

Try a basic Safari reset.
Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

Anyone had an issue on iphone 4s where bluetooth connects one day and then the next will not discover anything, but then a little while later it works again? I have 2 audio devices and an apple keyboard that I have this issue with. Effects ALL.

I have an iphone 4s. A while ago it started having issues with bluetooth. All of the sudden, an audio headset I am using quits working with my iphone bluetooth. I check and my iphone doesn't see any of my bluetooth devices. I have an apple keyboard, a headset, and a speaker. Nothing shows up on my iphone but they all connect perfectly to my ipad. Then a day or so later it works again. The are all suddenly there. I just installed iOS7 and I'm still having the same problem. What is UP? Anyone have a clue what is going on?

I have this problem too. I have an iPhone 4, and this wasn't a problem when I bought the phone back in December. I think it came a month or so later and I suspect with a standard upgrade of something like itunes, or iphone software... but I can't pinpoint it to any specific update as it took me a while to notice it. For me, it does this with my work calendar which is run through Microsoft Outlook. But it's the exact same thing - and it means my calendar isn't reliable anymore.
I've made sure the time-zone settings are correct, I've updated all software, and gone through all possible settings for both my i-phone and Outlook. Nothing fixes the problem, even our tech guy at work didn't know what to do. I know it's not just my phone as the exact same thing has happened with my boss's iPhone which is an iPhone 3G, and it frustrates him to no end.
I'm really hoping someone at apple can tell us what's going on, especially since it never used to do this and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. If someone thinks they know what itunes update this was due to, let me know - I'll see if I can go back to that older version.

Has anybody else been having issues with their home button after using assistive touch for a little while?

Me and my brother have been messing with Assistive Touch on and off since iOS 5 canme out. We been noticing that when we actually move to use the home button, sometimes it doesnt respond. Though I'm all for thinking my home button my be on the fritz, it wouldnt explain how mine and my brother suddenly have issues with our home buttons at the same time. Both of us had a time where the home button didnt respond at all. and its been intermittent ever since. Anybody that has an answer or another case like this I' d like some information

Reset Home button steps:
(1) Tap Settings App, when it is open:
(2) Hold Power button until "slide to power off" bar appears.
(3) Don't slide it, release power button.
(4) Gently, continuously press Home button for few seconds until home screen appears.
(5) Done.
If this does not help, further points to Hardware Problem.

Hp Envy X2 issues with the touchpad gestures

I am experiencing some issues with the touchpad gestures after every time it wakes up. I am already update the drives posted in the hp web site, is anybody out there with the same issues?

It was released 6 days ago, so it might enable that option for you. It can't hurt to try it out. If not, you might just have to hold out a little bit until they update the driver.

MacBook charger problem/Issue with charging

I've got the newest revision MacBook and there's a big problem with my charger. First, let me note that I've got the newest battery update, and have recently reset my PRAM and PMU. Inn addition, I've installed the new firmware update, and that has only seemed to make it worse. The trouble is that when I plug the MagSafe into my MacBook, it either:
a) shows me no indication that it the power cord is connected, or;
b) a dim green light appears where there should be a brighter green one that turns orange.
Now, I can sometimes stare at the little prongs coming out of the MagSafe connector to see how to best align the male and female ends. However, this still takes 5-10 minutes to do if it works at all, and the slightest motion disconnects the power. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a software problem, an issue with the charger, or one with the computer itself? If you need to see pictures to tell, I can post them on flickr and give you a link. By the way, this is bad enough that I am typing on a Windows PC right now, against my will.

I have exactly the same issue.
In when i connect the macbook to the power adapter, there's no bright light showing (only very vague green in the dark) , and it shows in the system profiler that its connected but not charging.
i changed the power adapter but the problem still exist, tried to change the battery as well, but didnt work as well, what is the part which is having a problem in this case?!
By the way also completed al restds (SMC etc).
It is time that Apple provides a solution I figured out is is a common problem.
