Live streaming, no video only audio

Hello
I have 3 pc: in the first I'm encoding a camera with Adobe
Flash Encoder 2.5 and send the signal to the second PC
in the second PC have installed Flash Media Server
in the third have a player.
Every thing is connected and in the player i can hear only
the audio, but not the video. Tryed with different players.
Any help

Sounds to me like a h.264 issue. If you're using the h.264
codec in FME, you need to make sure you're using the latest version
of FMS3. H264 support was fixed in 3.0.2. You also need Flashplayer
9.0.115 or better.
Try switching the video codec in FME to VP6. If that makes
the problem go away, then you know it's an issue with either FMS or
your flashplayer being outdated.

The files seem to play fine on other computers. Have also found out that I can play downloand or streamed videos (only audio).

Live Streaming from Video File

Hi everyone,,, im newbie in programming streaming video with flash....ater reading documentations i tried the instructions on doc, i got a question that i've not been solved. How to make a "live streaming" from "video file". It likes a live streaming from camera but it uses video file as the source.... many thanks

Do you mean you have video file but you want to publish it as live stream , am i right? If yes following is the solution, but before that let me clarify you will need server to do it , i mean there is no way Flash client (i.e. .swf file running in Flash Player) can publish file from local disk.
Now let me tell you how to do it from server:
Place your video file under "streams" folder of your application i.e. say "myVideo.flv" under <FMS root>/applications/myApp/streams/_definst_
Now write following code in your main.asc file (this file would be under <FMS root>/applications/myApp )
var mystream;
application.onAppStart = function(){
mystream = Stream.get("livestream");
mystream.play("myVideo",0,-1,true);
This will publish "myVideo" file as live stream under name of "livestream". Client would have to subscriber using NetStream and
use ns.play("livestream",-1,-1)
You might have to write some extra code if you want to loop same file else once play of recorded file gets over , live publish will automatically stop.

Atv2,atv3 iphone5 ipad2 airport extreme base station. NO video only audio.

I have an atv2 and atv3 on an AirPort Extreme base wifi network. All devices with latest software. I can play audio, show pictures, and play videos from iTunes (preview videos) on all devices. When I buy a video from iTunes, play the video and press the airplay button i only have audio and a small badge of the video in the bottom left corner but no video. Also no YouTube videos only audio. I have reset all devices and same results. Been battling this a while and would appreciate any help.

Does anyone experience CNBC Fast Money, Mad Money, and other CNBC shows podcast is missing video only audio? Is this an issue with the podcast?

iPhone, PC, table, etc ... FastMoney & MadMoney are 'audio' only (iTunes even list it as such) ... 'On the Money with Maria Bartiromo' is listed in iTunes as "video', but it does nt work at all ... I have to believe we need to connect CNBC

Live Streaming w/ RTMPE Only?

I'm hoping there's a simple answer to this. I'm attempting to stream a live event using FMLE and FMS. The first thing that throws me off is that I cannot push the stream to the server using RTMPE, only RTMP[T]. I assume this is because the the encryption is handled by the server and not the encoder. However, for the sake of security I would like to disable RTMP connections from the flash player to the server. Yet it would seem that if I incorporate the server side scripting described here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405456.html (namely the changes to my main.asc file), that my server would reject an RTMP connection from FMLE? Is that correct? If so, where do I go from here? Can I broadcast a live stream using RTMPE only? Do I need a different encoder or something, or am I just missing a very simple point?

You're correct that FMLE can't publish RTMPE.
What you can do is, in your logic for inspecting the client protocol for the connection, make an exception for FMLE user-agents. Based on the example code in the doc you linked to, you could do something like:

I am unable to get an image I only get sound.
I tried dowloading the lates flash player
and I also tried using google chrome but nothing seems to work.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music/iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Compressor 4 not compressing the video, only audio.

Hi,
I send my video to Compressor 4 from Final Cut Pro X for encoding into MPEG-2 for a DVD
Compressor encodes the audio but fails on the video.
Before sending my video to compressor I deleted all render files and re-rendered the video, doing that made no difference.
Have tried a number of time but can not get it to encode both video and audio.
Has any one got any idea's what the problem is?

My guess is you're not doing anything wrong - at least not in Compressor.
I'm not a big fan of the Send-to-Compressor workflow – whether it's from X or the legacy version. And I imagine that were you to export a Quick Time movie, using Export Media, and brought that file into Compressor, you'd get the two elementary streams that DVDSP wants. Try that with a short test project.
But that doesn't explain why you're getting these fails from X and you're able to get successful jobs completed from 7. My experience with the new programs hasn't all been clear sailing either. When I've run into oddball behavior, excessive beachballs, etc., with one exception one of three things has worked to restore order: trash preferences (I use Digital Rebellion's tool), repair permissions, delete render files. Once, none of that worked and I had to reinstall.

I'm having similar issues, if I try and play video via the iPad 2 Videos app I only get sound on the ATV2, video is played on the iPad 2. Maybe I'm missing something because I can get the same videos playing on the apple tv via the atv2 menus and if I use the apple remote app no problems as well. Maybe I'm missing something here?
Video/Audio works using safari YouTube and iPad YouTube also apple remote app. As far as I can make out it seems an issues using the iPod App which links into the iPad Videos App, same issue if I use the iPad Videos App.
BTW if I try and play shared video using the iPod app on my iPhone same problem. I'm wondering if there is an issue with iOS 4.3.2 update. Apple TV did not get the update ?

Tutor/live streaming surf video

I'm looking for a tutor in the Santa Cruz Ca or bay area. I want to be able to do live streaming video on the web. Film surfing in the day, edit it & show it at night on the web.
I'm currently taking a HTML class & have asked the professors at my college, but no one could help me.
The language & everything about this, is new & foriegn to me.

No video only audio in front row from my .mov files from my Iphone 3gs

Hello people,
I am having trouble with front row playing my video's shot with my Iphone 3gs.
At first, I only had audio and no video, but since the software update it was working fine.
But I just Imported some new vids from my Iphone to my mini.
The old vids have video and audio, but the newly imported vids I only hear audio and see no video....
Anyone knows how to fix this??

No Video, only Audio when building a DVD in Encore CS6

Hi everyone!
First post here, and I apologize if this has been somewhat covered in other posts, I couldn't seem to find any similar issues in this matter, and I pray someone here can help.
I'm new to DVD authoring, and just started using Adobe Encore CS6 over the summer. I shot a dance recital, and after following some tutorials, made an awesome DVD that was very well received.
However, my last two DVDs have not come out working properly. I imported .m2v files from HC Encoder (DVD Compliant, max 7500kbps for safety) into Adobe Encore CS6, where the .m2v files say "Don't Transcode." They play just fine in the timelines in Encore.
When I build the DVD to either a folder, image, or disc, only audio plays for the video portions of the DVD. The only way to get the video to play is if I run the DVD through VLC. I tested in Windows Media Center (on Windows 8) as well as my PlayStaton 4, and the black picture with audio persists for each video element of the DVD.
Between making the DVD of the dance recital and the DVD today, I have gone through at least two complete system restores, if this is something that could possibly have made things go awry. If it helps to know, I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro.

I imported an *.m2v file along with a *.wav file, both the exact same durations and lined up correctly in the timeline. In the project panel, for the *.m2v it says "Don't Transcode" for Status and "Don't Transcode" for Settings; for the *.wav it says, "Untranscoded" for Status and "Automatic" for settings.
That's all that Encore's telling me about the files.
Side note, interestingly enough, I went back and re-exported the DVD of the Dance Recital that I had mentioned earlier, and it plays just fine. (I'm trying to compare the two projects as best I can) It seems as if the *.m2v file that I made in HCEncoder for the recital plays just fine in Windows Media Player, however my most recent ones do not. But they still play in Encore. Needless to say, I'm baffled.

Rtmp live streaming of videos!

I am loving Azure Platform. I am having certain problems, i hope you can help me resolve them.

AVCHD m2ts - no video, only audio imported

Hi, I'm using Premiere Pro CS5.
I have a m2ts AVCHD file. Using mediainfo it says that the format is BDAV (though windows propeties says AVCHD...same thing?) and VC-1 (which I believe is the codec). I didn't film it btw so I don't know anything else about it.
When I import it into my premiere project it shows up as an audio file. The file in the imported list doesn't even have that video icon next to it but rather it has that speaker audio icon when clearly this is a video file. It's like the video is being recognised as an audio file. When I drag it onto the timeline there is only audio added!
I've already tried many things using tsmuxer and mkvtoolnix but no matter what I still don't get any video. The last thing I want to do is to have to re-encode the video cause I don't want to lose any quality at all and it's all too time consuming. Could it be some kind of codec problem?

I had the same problem with a new HD camera just purchased, PP CS5 saw my footage as an AVI and would only play the audio portion of the AVI file. The solution for me was to use the provided software which converted the file into a useable AVCHD m2ts file which PP CS5 then recogised and l was then able to edit.
