Load:Class * not found - in portal

In the webgui /portal a link is provided.
when you click the link , which is mapped with the transaction
code of the ABAP program. gets displayed.
THis program is used to download PO into the File
server.
so File output path is given.
The user uses F4 help to select the directory / filename as well
In the bottom we are getting a messge
load: class FileName not found
and load: class Directory Select not found
I use cl_gui_frontend_services=> directory_browse
and kd_get_filename_on_f4.
wat might be the problem for this?

the abap code you use, uses java for getting a filename and for directory browsing. So first of all you have to check,
if java is activated in your browser. Second, you have to test the frontend services in webgui with transaction se37, ws_query, enter "cd" into field query and executer this. Then you will get a security popup, which you have to accept. If all runs ok,
you will get the current home directory as result. If you get a java exception again, you have to check the network configuration
in the java control. It should be the same, as in the browser. If this does not help, try to request the applet ws.jar from the mimerepository .../sap/its/mimes/webgui/2002/applets/ws.jar
directly. Do you get the security dialog? The error you wrote above means, that the java applet ws.jar could not be loaded.
Is this an inhouse problem? external or integrated IITS. Which browser, which java version?

Load: class not found error with sdk 1.4.1 demos

I have read through a ton of messages regarding this problem with Internet Explorer 6. The only one I saw that had a work around was to compile with javac -target 1.1 <filename>
This kind of makes having 1.4 moot doesn't it? Has anyone else figured out anything about this error? I get it just from running the demos or a hello world applet with IE6. No problems with Netscape or the appletviewer.

Class not found error afer loading classes to oracle

hi i have loaded quite a few jars into oralce 11g databse
created a java stored function
and executed it
some times it works... and hits the java front end environment... we are hitting a servlet.. and recording some output statements .. in the function
but sometimes it throws class not found error
any idea why its working sometimes and not some othr times?
Also when i load the jars.. the classes are loaded but when i see the name of the classes using
select * from user_objects where object_type like 'J%'
then i see some additional characters prefixxed the class names ... is that causing the problem?

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting IE etc, tried removed the sun folder from application data, none of which has not helped.

This line from your error next could require control for the version in the "java control panel" of the jre(s).

note the proxy= and look in Network Settings in the *"java control panel"* (not the output panel).

I added the MySQL connector in the following manner
1)Open the Tom Cat server console by Selecting 'Servers' in Package Explorer
2)Right Click 'Tomcat v5.5 at localhost.server'
3)Select 'Open Launch Configuration' under 'General Information'
4)Select the 'Classpath' tab in the Edit configuration window that opens
5)Select 'Add External Jars' and add the required connector

This is an applet that i try to run its be made on another computer and compiles fine on the other one. I reinstalled my desktop and i downloaded the jdk se 6 release 6 and i use textpad to wright and compile. My problem comes after i compile the first time i try to run the applet i get a ClassNotFoundException but then the second time it works. yeah its kinda strange it happens for me every time consistently when a new class file is created with a compile the first time an applet is run it will give then class .class exception that i cant find information on. If there is no class in the folder such as i delete it and then run the applet the class "name".class a cures witch i see a few times on the internet but the first run failing is strange everything is in the right place and the class is in the right folder just the first time it is accessed it will fail but every time after it will work until a new compile and a new class is created

i'm using the 6se update 6 maybe i should try beta release 10 i'm also using the 1.5 3d but i have not worked the bugs out of 3d yet. all on windows xp 32bit i was having to problem with 64 bit also but that os crashed and i haven't gotten to reinstall it. the class file is located in a single drive raid i mean the drive is considered raid but it has no link to the other drives. Drivers i believe to be up to date not more then a couple weeks old if they are.

Hi...I'm making an applet in SUN ONE, and when I try to run the program, the applet doesn't initialize, and I get this error:
load: class LSLENDB/LSLENDB.class not found.
It doesn't tell me anywhere in my file where the error comes from. Note that the file is LSLENDB.java, and the class is named the same (LSLENDB). Any suggestions?

but i don't agree with your suggestion,
because he put his files in package, he must use:
<applet codebase=".." code="LSLENDB" .......></applet>
if he would like to have applet tag like:
<applet code="LSLENDB"></applet>
he should remove "package LSLENDB;" line from head of his applet source code.

Sometimes getting a load: class name .class not found error

I have an applet running in a hidden frame. It runs fine with Microsoft JVM but when run with Sun JVM it sometimes is fine and other times fails with the error message below.

After some more investigation... I have finally found the problem... I think!!!
Suns JVM took my browsers default connection settings:
HTTP IP PORT
SECURE IP PORT
FTP IP PORT
GOPHER IP PORT
SOCKS IP PORT
All of these are set in my browser.
It seems that Suns JVM orders the way it connects to the Internet.
Basically the JVM was trying to access the Internet via the SOCKS server settings and not the HTTP.
To fix the problem I un-ticked the "use browser settings" check box in the Java plugin proxies tab and just added the HTTP IP and PORT of our proxy server that goes out onto the Internet.
I then tried the applet and it worked!!!
Does anyone know why the JVM orders connections in this way?

Struts class not found for war file

I am tring to deploy my struts web application in weblogic 8.1. I have all the
library files in web-inf\lib directory. It gave me the error that class not found
for some class in struts library. The console also told me the classpath. But
I can use javap to find the class using the same classpath. Could any one point
me some direction what I am doing wrong here.

Your suggested solution (putting an empty commons-logging.properties into
web-inf/classes or in a jar in web-inf/lib)
does not make any change at all. It still complains about not being able to
preload the servlet and still
gives exceptions upong calling upon LogFactory.
What I have been able to do is put the three classes from
com.bea.wlw.netui.util.logging into a separate jar
and add that to web-inf/lib.
However I am sometimes getting funny exceptions upon undeploy
(NoClassDefFoundError for org.apache.commons.collection.FastHashMap$KeySet).

caused by something in a parent classloader that is found but then
depends on something only loadable in a child classloader.
eg.
You have something in your $CLASSPATH that references something in the
WEB-INF/lib. This will NoClassDefFoundError.
So, as I recommended, remove everything you've added to the$CLASSPATH,
add the jars to WEB-INF/lib. If you're still having problems, show me
your $CLASSPATH, the contents of WEB-INF/lib, and the error message
/stack trace.

ProfileProviderAdapter class not found

Why am i getting the following error?
ProfileProviderAdapter should be in desktop.jar but i doesnt seem to be in the application server classpath?
PollCentreProviderChannel channel is already in application server classpath.

Keep getting VncViewer.class not found error when trying to use Windows 7

I have no issue accessing the OVM Manager 2.2 with OEL 5.4 x86_64 with the latest Java release from ULN. But when I use a Windows 7 client ( x86) with the Sun Java 6 Update 18 I get the following error when trying to access the Console of a VM Guest:

Class not found in applet using 2 jar files

I have an applet which has been working for years as a stand alone or connecting directly to a derby database on my home server. I have just changed it to connect to MySQL on my ISP server via AJAX and PHP.
I am now getting a class not found error in my browser, probably because I'm stuffing up the class path.
The HTML I am using to call the applet is:
