Load image on mouseover after the page is showed

hi guys, i have a slideshow with 30 images and it load all the image until show the page but it takes amount 6-7 second..is there a method to load only a thumbnail and show the page and when i click or mouseover on thumbnail load dinamically the image...... i think it can be done changing the image src ....

Using a4j to load a rich:dataTable after the page loads

I have a rich:dataTable that calls a session bean which executes an SQL query to generate the data to be displayed in the table. Something simple like:

where Bean.getItems() performs an SQL query and returns List<Item>.
The problem is that the query takes a long time to execute (~45 seconds) and I'd like the page to initially load while the query is being executed, displaying a spinner while it loads. Once the query is done, I'd like to update the initially empty table using ajax.
I set up a spinner using a4j:status and it works fine after the page initially loads (using a rich:datascroller).
However, the page will not initially load until the query completes, which is a problem because the query is so slow. What happens is the user clicks on the "List Items" tab from my site's homepage, sits there on the same page for 45 seconds with absolutely no visual indication that anything is happening, and then finally is taken to the list of items page.
What is needed to make the dataTable load via AJAX the first time, as well as all subsequent times?

I think I could do it by adding a 'dataTableRendered' variable to the bean and using a jsFunction to set this variable to True when the page loads, but I'm looking for a better way. (I'm also not 100% sure this would do what I want.)

Cannot open my excel sheet, the message saying library not loaded, image not found therefor the icon is showing on the screenrey

For the first time I cannot open my Excel. The report is saying:image not found, therefor the icon is showing on my desktop.
Before my Mac open with excel sheet, now it is not there anymore. I guess it it hiding somewhere. How to find it? As you can see I am not an IT . Please try to avoid hight tech wording.

Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width?

Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width? I am positive i has all the settings correct, to have an image parallax scroll from the edge of the page into the page and out again. But the images are flying in from the browser width - not the page width. This is not the effect I am after.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Given the key position is only linked to the height, I can't for the life of me work out how to ensure the images start moving from a certain position onthe left and right of the page.

I think the effect you are seeing is a result of how the lineHeight is set up. By default, the lineHeight will be calculated as 120% of the size of the largest thing on the line -- in your case, this is the inline graphic. This is designed to leave space between the line before and the line with the graphic. So it is taking the height of the graphic, multiplying by 120%, and making this the distance between the previous line and the line with the graphic. So the bigger the graphic, the bigger the space above the graphic. Normally this works well with text, but in this case you may want to get closer to "set solid". You can do this by setting the lineHeight to 100%. Or you may wish to leave a couple of percent for the descenders of the previous line. Or, another alternative that may work well for you if you really know exactly where you want the line set, you could measure the graphic, add on the number of extra pixels to leave for the descenders, and make the lineHeight a constant. So you could do something like this:

Obviously you would still need to specify the source and any other parameters you want on the image.
Note that if you are trying to fit a 200 pixel high graphic into a 200 pixel high container, you will hit the same problem -- in order to fit the graphic, the container will have to be slightly bigger than the graphic in order to fit the descenders on the last line. This is true even if the last line contains only the graphic, and no descenders (or text) at all.

I am having problems opening pages in safari. the rotating wheel at the right end of the address window doesn't stop even after the page has filled up. then if i try to open other pages it gets stuck and won't open them.

I started having problems opening pages today. When first open a page it seems to download the page OK, but the rotating wheel on the right-hand end of the address field keeps rotating after the page is completely filled up. Then if I try to open other pages it becomes slower and eventually stops filling-in the pages, while the rotating wheel keeps rotating.
I wonder whether junk is being downloaded into my mac, or what is going on. Help will be geatly appreciated.

When was the last time you emptied the Safari cache?
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that didn't make a difference, go back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.
And how much free space on the startup disk?
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space. Freeing Up Hard Disk Space - Mac Guides
If emptying cache or resetting didn't help and there's enough free space on the startup disk, login to another user account, launch Safari. Same problems there indicates a system wide problem. Log back into your admin account so you can check the startup disk.
Launch Disk Utility. /Applications/Utilities
Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the startup disk needs repairing, follow the instructions for Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

Nothing should "download" to your Mac unless you initiate the download yourself. You can check the Downloads folder from the Safari > Window menu or your Downloads folder in the Finder.

Perhaps you have set the margins so tight to the edge of the paper that you have gotten into the non-printing area for your printer. Most printers have a dead zone.

How do you stop tabs from displaying "Connecting..." forever and even after the pages have loaded?

Even after all of my pages have loaded, the tabs continue to say "Connecting..." I don't have any kind of add-on/plugin like tabrenamer are anything that should be affecting the titles of my tabs. Some pages are using scripts like GoogleAPIs ,YahooAPIs, GoogleAnalytics, webTools pages and etc. sometimes the requested URL for the script or any web page element (like pictures and icons) are missing or so busy and there is no response from the server. The requests are sent to server using '''UDP '''protocol (means high speed, but '''no accuracy for very busy servers and lost connections'''!). UDP is a high speed protocol and send and receive your requested elements rapidly!
1- You can try clicking in the address bar and pressing enter. this may help you sometimes.
2- Also you can use add-ons like '''NoScript '''for disabling unwanted scripts. You can try installing NoScript and click on "Allow scripts globally". Then, at the pages you mentioned load too long and never stop, try to disable scripts while you find the bad or not respinding script (Scripts)!

Date Picker has to submit the default value after the page load???

I have 2 date pickers 'Start' and 'End' on a screen with report that has a where clause using above values. Start defaults to current date, End defaults to current month end date, I have another radio group with default to Monthly......
Now when the page loads, I see the default values for 'Start' and 'End' date pickers but the report doesn't reflect those values. I added an on change dynamic action, and so when I change the value of 'End' date picker, it submits the page and now the values are reflected in the report........
I tried creating another dynamic action > with event On Page Load.....and disable fire on page load, and to submit the page, this is causing an infinite loop of submitions........can you please tell me how to achieve this with out putting an exclusive submit button on the Screen.......

You don't have to submit the page here.
What version of apex?
What report is it? i.e. Interactive report/Classic report
Depending on your version of apex you can simply use the Page Items to Submit attribute to set the session state

Loading image name instead of the image

Hi all,
Sorry but i'm a little new to AS3 and flash and have come to an abrupt halt. I have a database (phpMyAdmin 2.6.0-beta2 ) which holds information which i want to display in a flash form so i'm using an XML file to bridge the gap. After building the application in FLASH and running it the text from the database comes through but no the images. Details of what i'm trying to do are as follows:

I just downloaded the new 4.0 an now when I click on the tab it won't even load up, it'll look like the page will show up but then it won't an the it'll look like I never even clicked on it. What is going on? Why won't firefox work?

My firefox was working perfectly before when I had the 3.6 but now it just won't load up at ALL! I've dealt with it crashing on me while I was on the internet but I've never clicked on the tab OVER an OVER again an still not even having the home page show up on my screen. Its getting really frustrating and I now really wish I'd of just left my firefox the way it was. . .can you please help me??
