Load images by default

Hello, I am using Convergence 1 Update 3
I wonder if it is possible to configure convergence to load message images by default?
Users are complaining about clicking on load images button for every message.
Any idea would be apreciated.
Thanks.

Users are complaining about clicking on load images button for every message.There are a few related feature requests/bugs for this behaviour:
RFE #6936953 - "Provide the user level option for 'Load Image'"
RFE #6871655 - "Display images in mail from senders that are in Address Book"
Bug #6808568 - "Blockimages do not work according to server settings"
I suggest raising the RFE's with your Sun account manager and the bug with Sun support.
Regards,
Shane.

  • Allow loading of remote images by default. SOLVED in Thunderbird 31 [was: Is there ANYONE at Mozilla who listens to users' requests?]

    '''bold text'''Numerous users at NUMEROUS Times have all requested Mozilla Fix Thunderbird so it works like A. It used to, B. what OTHER mail programs STILL do, and C. Is a fact of life on our SmartPhones!!!
    We get Live URL Links on our iPhones, AND automatically downloaded CONTENT on our iPhones, but NOT in Thunderbird..... Not even as an option! Mozilla decided they're going to "protect" you. and by golly they will, whether you like it or not.
    Mozilla will not even acknowledge the issue. It must be nice to produce a product an then let not support it, just sit back let everyone out there help each other.

    I never really thought of it as a 'bug' so I did not pursue that avenue.
    I can understand you objecting to allowing remote images by default. But remote images don't load it you don't look at them (I have 500 spam filters), Macs don't have nearly the security holes Windows has, and as I have stated before: some of us know what we're doing. AND....we know we'll have no one to blame but ourselves if something DOES get through and messes up our computers, (the Personal Responsibility concept, so lost in the U.S.) The other half is the sheer volume of email I get from eBay members, each and every one a slightly different address, and each and every one I had to 'enable' to see it! Maybe white listing sites will fix that, but I still would like the choice to make on my own. Many of my former customers still call me when they run into questions like 'Should they shut off global protection' so I do think it's a good idea you put in all sorts of warning if they go to disable it. Oh, and just so you know, my former service company "Cyclone Computer" (Approx 500 customers, most we single Mac freelancers) never sent out commercial emails and taught my users HOW to avoid getting hacked or phished or get their identity stolen. I now work in an IT department of a large Fortune 50 firm, so their is no 'commercial pressure' on my part in asking for this option. Many of my former customers do understand the reason for the default blocking and are happy it's there.
    Once again. Thanks for all the help, At least the hack solves the problem for me. I see if some of my former users what to take the risk and try it themselves.
    Keep up the good work. Despite my whining, it's still the best email program out there.

  • How to replace wecenter default loading image(ss.gif).

    Hi All ,
    I am working on webcenter customization .
    Can anyone provide me how to replace webcenter default loading image which appears before webcenter content gets loaded .
    Appreciate any prompt response .
    Thanks ,
    Arun.

    If it's the splash screen you speak of, a custom skin defining these selectors may work - af|document::splash-screen, af|document::splash-screen-content, af|document::splash-screen-message and af|document::splash-screen-icon.
    Please note that I have not tried these myself.

  • White Screen after Default loading image

    I am getting a white screen for about two seconds between the Default.png loading image and the app main screen in my Flex app on my iPhone 4. Is there any way to tighten that up a little or get rid of it entirely?

    Its probably just lagging while it loads your content. You can toss on a simple loading screen and that can hold the user over while the rest of the content is loaded. Also the beauty of flash and I assume flex is that you can use layers so you can have your content load and build underneath the loading screen and then simply reveal it.

  • How could I load image via a Form when it is in runtime by not using default block

    1. How could I load image from my local computer to the database via a Form when it is in runtime?
    2. And how to display the image stored in the database on a Form ?
    Thanks buddy ~
    A nice member answered this question already, but I want to know how could I do it by using manual create block instead of using database item directly~
    Could anyone help me pls~

    This is the only way I know right now:
    1) Create this table
    SQL> desc av_data
    Name Null? Type
    BLOB_ID NOT NULL NUMBER(10)
    BLOB_TYPE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(10)
    DESCRIPTION NOT NULL VARCHAR2(25)
    BLOB_DATA LONG RAW
    2) On form create a button with this 'when-btn-prssed' tgr:
    DECLARE
         v_dirname          VARCHAR2(255);
         v_filename          VARCHAR2(255);
    BEGIN
         v_dirname := 'C:\';
         v_filename := get_file_name(v_dirname, NULL,
         'Bitmap file (*.bmp)|*.bmp|'                    ||
         'JPEG file (*.jpg)|*.jpg|'          );
         IF v_filename IS NOT NULL THEN
    read_image_file(v_filename, 'ANY',
    'av_data_image.blob_data');
         END IF;
    END;
    3) Add this pre-insert trigger too :
    :av_data_image.blob_type := 'IMAGE';
    Sorry if this is not exactly the answer you're looking for.

  • Firefox does not load images over HTTPS

    When viewing secure sites (HTTPS) images are not displayed on FF 3.6.6
    For example: I can not see images on Gmail, Google Images or StumbleUpon
    I have checked the images settings and it automatically loads images from all sites, there are no domains blocked
    There is no add-on to block images
    Javascript is enabled
    I've tested almost all network configuration but the problem persists
    If I inspect the image with Firebug 1.5.4 the image is available as preview
    The same page is correctly displayed on IE8
    I've tested in safe-mode but the error remains
    Again... I suspect it has something to do on how FF 3.6.6 handles HTTPS
    Even if you do not have an answer, post if you experience the same problem.
    Thanks for your help!

    Try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the [[Safe mode]] start window - See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_preferences
    See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved
    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems
    See [[Basic Troubleshooting|#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile]]
    There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
    If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • Loader will load images from another server, but then we get error on Bitmap operation

    I'm developing an app that currently is using Loader to get images from another server.  This shouldn't currently work since we are still waiting for the owner of that server to put a crossdomain file in place.  However, it does work -- sort of .
    Loader can load the images fine, without an error.  But then the app has a feature in which we are making a larger duplicate of the image to display in a sidebar, we do this in this manner:
    var myBitmap:Bitmap = Bitmap(loader.content);
    and when this runs we get a Flash player security error 2122, sandbox violation.
    So while I'm hoping all this will fix itself when the crossdomain.xml file is put in place, I'm confused as to why we only get the sandbox error when we make a Bitmap from the image, and not when we initially try to retrieve the image.
    (Incidentally: is there a better way to make a "copy" of an image loaded by a Loader, and then change its width and height for simultaneous display in another part of the stage?  I don't need to change its actual dimensions -- I just need to change its display width and height.)
    Thanks!

    The sandbox allows viewing, not editing from another server without a crossdomain.
    So, when you try to load it up, it loads it, but "read-only" and gives you an error when you try to "edit" it by making a new Bitmap out of it.
    This should resolve itself once that crossdomain is in place.
    ||EDIT||
    I just realized I should clarify my statement a little more.
    When you load images from another server without a crossdomain, it allows the load for display only.  When you try to load data, it will fail.  This is because, XML data, or some other type of data is editable by default, and images are only viewable by default.  So, the image fails when you try to convert it into an editable form.

  • Custom loading image JSP dynpage

    Hello,
    Wa have created a jsp dynpage, and want to show a custom loading image. I other applications (appintegrator) we have succesfully changed the loading image by exporting the theme that we are currently using, change the loading_ani.gif image and re-importing the theme. This change has no effect on the loading image of the JSP dynpage, it is still the one supplied by SAP. I checked the url of this image and got the following https://host:port/htmlb/mimes/common/loading/loading_ani.gif, so I tried changing the loeding image that is stored in the htmlb par file, but there was no visible result when loading the application, or when loding the direct url of this image. Can anyone tell me where I can change the loading image of the JSP dynpages?
    Kind Regards

  • Firefox not loading images on certain pages

    All of a sudden, Firefox no longer loads images on certain pages. I updated to 32.0.3. yesterday so thought that was the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled 32.0.3. but that didn't help. I deactived the add-ons, but that didn't help either. I then installed FF 31, but the problem persists. I don't have the problem with Safari.
    I'm lost ….
    P.S. I had to upload the image via Safari, didn't work via Firefox

    Your System Details list shows that you were only allowing images from the originating page and were blocking third-party images hosted on other servers.
    *permissions.default.image: 3
    These days a lot of sites store content on other dedicated servers, so it is best to leave such a setting at its default of 1 to allow all images.

  • Referencing loaded images in APEX

    Hi all:
    Up until this point, I have used the same method of getting images to be recognized by an Apex
    installation. That specifically has been through loading images into a physical directory on the
    machine where APEX was installed. This was made available to me by the DBA that installed APEX.
    This is Application Express 2.2.0.00.32 running on AIX Unix.
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    This arrangement worked. I was able to reference any image loaded to that directory using
    "/i/[image].gif". "/i/" was set as my pseudo directory by default on Apex.
    Over time, I developed an application that is now ready to deploy in like environments and I have
    never had a problem with viewing graphics.
    For the purposes of demoing to a specific customer, I was asked to deploy this to a different environment
    temporarily, I was given the option of loading my application to a Windows XP environment running
    Oracle XE and Application Express 2.1.0.00.39.
    Since there was no physical directory that I could locate for images, it seemed to me that my only
    option was to load my images using the wizard for loading image file components (which I understand
    means using XDB)...
    I was not been able to get this to work. I went back to my AIX Unix/Oracle 10g installation and attempted
    to do the same (load images as a file component and reference them). To my surprise it didn't work there
    either.
    These are the steps I took in attempting this:
    1.) Within my application definition, go to "Shared components"
    2.) Under the Files section, I click on "images"
    3.) Click on the button labeled "Create"
    4.) The page "Create Image" appears. I click on the "Browse" button and I pick the image from my local file system.
    5.) I leave the drop-down list as is (reading "No Application Associated")
    6.) I click on the "Upload" button.
    I then go back to my application under "Edit Attributes" and reference the file as /i/[file].gif
    I find that the images do not show up. On IE, all I get is the standard red "X" indicating that
    an image file failed to load.
    I can't help thinking that I'm missing an obvious step. Let me know if there's any other info I should
    provide.
    Thanks

    HI,
    To reference images loaded through shared components use:
    #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#filename.gif (when you set it to No Application Associated)
    or
    #APP_IMAGES#filename.gif (when you associate it with a specific application)

  • Taking time to load image

    Hi,
                   I have implemented an image scroller. Now the client had reported that a few seconds are taking to load images. We have a local server. When we load images from it, it's not taking that much time to load images. You just copy the following code in a notepad save it as .html extension, which is the widget taken from client site.

    Regards,

    Hi Ross, the image loading problem is not solved yet. The client needs to solve it at any cost. He is saying that the problem might be with the effeciency of code. So my PM is asking to modify the code.Youc can view the image scroller in this specified site: http://test.nysaenet.org/NYSAENET/NYSAENET/Home/
    I am attaching the class that is using for loading images. In this class, after loading the images, some masking effects are given. I think you can understand about after viewing the image scroller and the class. Hope you ll reply as soon as possible. I am wasting more than one week for this purpose. I am not getting any idea.

  • Problems loading Images

    Hello !
    I'm trying to make a small card game.
    I have 52 small gif files(68x94 pix;500 byts each).
    When I'm loading those cards on a JPanel, it takes to much time (about 15 sec);
    I've enabled double-bufering (no changes);
    Without loading Images, all the stuff (JButtons,JTextFile, some String paintings, etc.) is coming up instantly.
    I'm using a P III 1,1 Ghz, 256 Mo RAM. with WinXP (could be, Bill Gates fault ? -:) )
    I've copyed here an extras of code:
    class pan extends JPanel{
         Color myC=new Color(0,170,85);
         Toolkit tt=Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
         String st="";
         Random rnd=new Random();
         public pan(){setDoubleBuffered(true);}
         public void paintComponent(Graphics g){
         super.paintComponents(g);
         g.setColor(myC);
         g.fillRect(0,0,800,500);
         int x=220;int y=10;int m;
         for(int i=0;i<4;i++){
              int c=i;
              for(int j=0;j<13;j++){
              int v=j+2;
              switch(c){
              case 0:m=c+v-1;break;
              case 1:m=13+v-1;break;
              case 2:m=26+v-1;break;
              case 3:m=39+v-1;break;
              default: m=52;}
              g.setColor(Color.white);
              g.fillRoundRect(x,y,72,97,13,13);
              g.setColor(Color.black);
              g.drawRoundRect(x,y,72,97,13,13);
              st="Imagini/Cardsgif/"+"C"+m+".gif";
              g.drawImage(tt.getImage(st),x+2,y+2,this);
              x=x+20;
              st="";
              if((j>0)&(j%12==0)){
                   y=y+100;
                   x=220;

    I just started noticing this problem too. On an order confirmation page on Amazon, many of the button graphics were question marks. But it's random. If I refresh the page, some of the images load but others don't load. All of the images load (so it's not an image format problem), but NEVER all at the same time!
    (On a side note, it's VERY bad that Safari displays the question mark graphic instead of the alternate image tag text. There was no way to know which question marks (which should be buttons to click on) are for submitting, cancelling, veiwing order details, editing shipping address, etc.)
    Even more frustrating is that a friend finally switched to Macs from years of being a PC user. Her brand new Intel iMac is exhibiting the same problem when she views her and her friend's MySpace pages. This was her very first day of Mac ownership, and there was nothing installed on her iMac except what it came with. Everything was still on the default settings. Same thing...refreshing the page would randomly load some images but not others.
    It's all a bit embarassing because the "it just works" arguement was one of the things that convinced her to switch to a Mac. I'd like to offer her a fix to overcome this poor first impression.
    PS: I'm on Tiger with the Tiger version of Safari. She's obviously on Leopard.

  • Load image file into a LONG RAW column via SQL*Loader

    Does anyone know how to load a image file into a LONG RAW column via SQL*Loader?
    Thanks
    -Hsing-Hua-

    Are you trying to import the image on the client into Oracle lite, or from the server end into the main oracle database for download to the client?
    On our system images are loaded into the the oracle lite database (10g R1 at the moment) on the client (DELL X50 PDA's) into a BLOB (Not LONG RAW) column using Java (relatively standard functionality in Java) as this is what our application software is written in.
    From the server end, we do not at the moment load images as such, but we do load the application software into the database for deployment of new versions to the clients (the DMC/DMS updates we have found very unreliable), and the technique should be the same for images. Again the file is imported into a BLOB column.
    NOTE a column defined as BLOB on the main Oracle database appears as a LONG VARBINARY on the client Oracle lite database, but the synchronisation process handles the conversion with no problem.
    To import into a BLOB column on the server try the following
    1) you will need to create a DIRECTORY (CREATE DIRECTORY command) within the database, pointing at a directory on the database server (or accessible from it). This is needed for the file location.
    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY PDA_FILE_UPLOAD AS '/pdaapps/jar/'
    NOTE create directory needs to be run as SYSTEM
    2) define your table to hold the image and other data. Our tables is
    SQL> desc pda_applications
    Name Null? Type
    ID NOT NULL NUMBER(12)
    PDAAT_CODE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(10)
    VERSION NOT NULL NUMBER(5,2)
