Loading data from SRM training client

Hello all,
I want to create another source system in BW to image a training client in SRM. i.e. to say having SQCLNT100 as my QA and SQCLNT200 as my training client.
What is the best practice? should I mix the data from the two source systems in one warehouse model, or do I create separate model for each of the source systems?

I am able to do this successfully using:

DBMS_LOB.loadclobfromfile packageIssue is: this only works if my files and DIR are on database server.
Is it not possible "load clob from file" from client side, files being on client and exec command via SQLPlus. Is there any other option to load data from client side.

Loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error

Hi,
While loading data from flatfile to relational table,i am getting SQLLDR error and i am unable to proceed further.
Source is a flatfile and target is a Oracle database,i used "LKM file to oracle(SQLLDR)" and "IKM sql control append"
and ran the interface.When i checked the seesion in operator window" after generating "CTL file" successfully
the session got failed at "Call sqlldr" and was not able to proceed further.
Environment details:
ODI 11g
database:Oracle 11g
Operating system:Windows server 2008

Error while loading data from R/3 into DSO

While loading data from 2lis_02_s012 into a DSO the following error occured:

    Updating for the information structure is still activated in client 150
    (and possibly also in other clients).
System Response
    o   It is not possible to upload data in the initial mode.
    o   Generation of the delta update was terminated.
Procedure
    1. Switch off updating in all system clients.
    2. Repeat the relevant activity.

Hi VN,
1. Incase you do full update , system will allow you to load without any error.
2. In case you want to do init then
      Lock users
      Stop the update in the system .
      Load init Package
      Start the update
      Unlock users.
      Load delta package.

I found the problem.It was because of the connection string.The format was different for oracle tables.

Purchase order Confirmation data from SRM to MM

Hi,
I am trying to send Purchase order Confirmation data from SRM to MM via PI. In SRM portal i am able to see that the data has been send successfully. But i am not able to receive any data in PI nor iam able to any messages going from SRM in SXMB_MONI.

Hi,
In SRM check in sxmb_moni is there any queue is blocked.
If not then,
Check your proxy settings.Select Go To and check connection Test.
Go to sm59 and check H type RFC destination is maintained.
Go to sxmb_adm check the Global setting value,
Application system,dest://RFC destination is maintained.
In XI,
Go to SLD.
Check Technical system (client with logical system) maintained.
Check Business System maintained with role of application system,Related integration engine
maintained.

we have a requirement that we need to import data from legacy to oracle AR.We know that we need to put the data file in BIN folder,but I want to know about the data file source if we place in windows folder instead of BIN directory will SQL loader picks the file and loads the data.

Transfer of Product Master and Contract data from SRM server to CAT

Hi,
We are using XI system to send product master data from SRM system to CAT (catalogue authorising tool) wherein both the SRM and the CAT add-on have been installed on the same web application server.
On the SRM-> XI part, we are going to use ABAP client proxy. My question is can we use ABAP server proxy to send data from XI to CAT ? In other words, is CAT a part of ABAP system so that we can use proxy ??
I am new to SAP environment and hence this question.

for uploading SRM master data to CCM u need not do any developements in ABAP , u have to just import SAP predefined SWCV's in Integration repository and configure required scenario "MasterDataInclusionInCatalogOnWAS" for u r corresponding WAS version.

I am trying to load data from a csv file from a client to a table in Oracle DB server.
I am trying to use the below command
" LOAD DATA INFILE 'test.csv' INTO TABLE testTable FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' (test1,test2,testc3,testc4); "
But, I am encountered with the following error
"SP2-0042: unknown command "load data" - rest of line ignored."

That was a nice post....
I changed my mind to use an 'Insert into' statement from a shell script.
I created a DB table named test and I tried using the below shell script to insert a row in the table.
sqlplus test/test@test <<ENDOFSQL
INSERT INTO test VALUES('test1',123,'test2','test3');
exit
ENDOFSQL
A row is succesfully inserted into the table when I run the script manually, but it does not insert rows when a cron job is scheduled.
Could you please help me with this?

Dump while loading data from 1 cube to other cube

Hi,
We created a direct mapping between 2 cubes ( no start/end routines, formula exist in the mapping). Strange part is while I am loading data from one cube to other cube all data packages executing successfully only last data package giving dump with ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY. This is in our QA system. But it is working/loading correctly in DEV.

If the data load is one time process, then you can use PL/SQL or datamover to load the data to PeopleSoft application.
If you want to load the data in real time, then you need to create In-bound and out-bound nodes to perform the transaction.

First of all, is file located on (or is accessible from) database server? If not - you can't load it neither with UTL_FILE nor with external table. You need to use client side tool like SQL*Loader or write your own client side load. If file is accessible from database server, then, as sb92075 noted, external table (assuming you are not on some ancient Oracle version) is the way to go.

i have a scenario like, down load data from a web page.
i am able to make http requests using httpclient easily, i am receiving correct response also(i can say this as i get the same when i use browser for the same request, i checked page view source and confirmed that i got right response)
my data on the web page are in FRAMES , now when i do the request using the browser , i can view my data on the web page by selecting that particular frame , and view source of that particular frame)
