Loading JAXB 2.0 Classes

Hi,
We have a requirement to use JAXB 2, for translating between XML and Java. The context we are using this in is as a custom JavaSerializer that will automatically do marshalling/unmarshalling for us when we call an EJB from BPEL via WSIF.
I am unable to get the custom JavaSerializer to load the JAXB 2 classes. You may be aware that oracle provides JAXB 1 inside the "oracle.xml" shared library, and all my attempts seem to either result in:
a) Breaking the oracle server because the Oracle code that relies on JAXB1.0 breaks with an exception, or
b) Breaking the custom JavaSerializer because it is unable to find JAXB 2.0, and gets JAXB 1.0 instead.
My efforts have been centred around trying to add JAXB 2 classes into the "oracle.bpel.common" shared library wither as code-source or as a shared-library, or into bpel/system/classes.
Has anyone come across issues with JAXB 2.0 before, and if so do you have any recommendations as to the correct classpath configuration.

I have a similar requirement, did you have any success with this approach? Did you find any documentation describing the IJavaSerializer interface and the requirements for implementing a custom serializer?

    i am chiranjit , i am now working in a web based ERP. where i am using a signed applet which unable to load "oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" class but it easily loading "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver", i am also giving my code:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.math.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    class JdbcTest extends Applet{
    public static void main (String args[]) throws SQLException {
    // Load Oracle driver
    DriverManager.registerDriver (new oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver());
    // Connect to the local database
    Connection conn =
    DriverManager.getConnection
    ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.16.7:1521:kris",
    "plsql", "oracle");
    // Query the employee names
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement ();
    ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery ("SELECT FIRST_NAME FROM
    AUTHORS");
    // Print the name out
    while (rset.next ())
    System.out.println (rset.getString (1));
    // Close the result set, statement, and the connection
    rset.close();
    stmt.close();
    conn.close();
    }

    Hint: The sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver is available in any JRE distribution. The Oracle driver is not.

  • How to write a class loader to solve the class confliction in rt.jar?

    Hello guys:
    The weblogic.jar has the javax.management.*, it is conflict with rt.jar's

  • Error editing task sequence: Failed to load dynamic properties for class "SMS_TaskSequence_ApplyWindowsSettingsAction" From XML into WMI

    I've started getting an intermittent error editing my Windows 7 OSD task sequence.  Sometimes I can open the TS to edit, but when I try to apply changes I get the error.  Other times I get the error when trying to open the TS.  If I try again
    right away, I still get the error, but if I wait a few minutes and try again sometimes it will open the TS.
    The error reads:

    Is there any other log I should check for a clue on this issue?  What could be causing this error?

    Thanks for sharing that!  I tend to save contacting MS support until after I've exhausted other options.  I'm always afraid that I'll spend the $500 to open a case and then it turns out to be something simple that I would have found if I had just
    kept working on it myself a little longer.
    It looks like that link is for an update released in February as KB3023562.  I downloaded and installed it. I'll try opening/editing/saving the task sequence a few times today to see if the issue is resolved.
    After I had already installed it, I thought to look up that update in configmgr.  The update is listed as superseded by 2 other updates.  The newest of those is KB3046049, which just installed last night with the other March patches, so it's possible
    that I didn't need to install KB3023562 after all.

  • Putting Loader in a custom class: events, returning to main ... asynch challenges

    I'm creating a custom class to retrieve some data using URLoader.
    My code is below, doing this from memory, plz ignore any minor typos.
    The challenge I'm encountering: when my custom class calls the loader, the event handler takes over.  At which point the context of my code leaves the function and it's not clear to me how I then return the data retrieved by the loader.  I sense that I'm breaking the rules of how ActionScript really runs by putting a loader in a separate class; at least, that's my primitive understanding based upon the reading I've done on this.
    So can I do this?  I am trying to create a clean separation of concerns in my program so that my main program doesn't get clogged up with code concerned with retrieving remote data.
    Thanks!
    Main program;
    import bethesda.myLoader;
    var ldr:myLoader = new myLoader;
    var data:String = myLoader.getData("someurl");
    My custom class:
    package bethesda {
         public class myLoader {
              function myLoader(url:String):String {
                   var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
                   var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
                   loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);
         function completeHandler(event:Event):void {
              var ld:URLLoader = new URLLoader(event.target);
              data = loader.load(); // here's where I don't know what to do to get the data back to my main program

    I think you are on the right track in abstracting loading from other code.
    Your class may be like that:
    package
         import flash.events.Event;
         import flash.events.EventDispatcher;
         import flash.net.URLLoader;
         import flash.net.URLRequest;
         public class myLoader extends EventDispatcher
              // declare varaibles in the header
              private var loader:URLLoader;
              private var url:String;
              public function myLoader(url:String)
                  this.url = url;
              public function load():void {
                  var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
                  var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
                  loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);
                  loader.load(request);
              private function completeHandler(e:Event):void
                  dispatchEvent(new Event(Event.COMPLETE));
              public function get data():*{
                  return loader.data;
    Although, perhaps the best thing to do would be to make this class extend URLLoader. With the example above you can use the class as following:
    import bethesda.myLoader;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var ldr:myLoader = new myLoader("someurl");
    ldr.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
    ldr.load();
    function onLoadComplete(e:Event):void {
         var data:String = ldr.data;

    "Could not load mediaLib accelerator wrapper classes. Continuing in pure Java mode."

    This problem seems to occur if only the JAI JAR files are installed without the native DLL's. Is there some property that can be passed in to JAI so that it doesn't look for the DLL's? The lookup is causing quite a delay in initial server response time. We don't want to include the DLL's since they are a big pain for our customers to install and the performance issue is not a concern.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Failed to load or instantiate TagExtraInfo class: org.apache.struts.taglib

    Hi,
    I am using tomcat 4.1.x and jdk1.4. After updating the tomcat to 5.5.17 my application gives the following error:
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /jsp/index.jsp(150,20) Failed to load or instantiate TagExtraInfo class: org.apache.struts.taglib.html.MessagesTei
    Is it because jdk1.4 is not compatible with tomcat 5.5.17? can i fix this problem by just pasting some jar files in my WEF-INF/lib directory?
    If yes, could you let me know what those jar files are.
    Can anyone please suggest me if there is some other approach?

    Just remove jsp-api.jar from your classpath.

  • Loading the user defined class file

    Hai,
    Is there any way to load the user defined class at the time of starting my Jakarta Tomcat server.
    Regards
    ackumar

    Hi!!
    Hope, <load-on-startup> tag of web.xml helps in
    s in this regard.I think this tag is to load servlet. I am talking about loading a user defined class file for example xyz.class which is no a servlet just a class file.

  • JAXB compiler for class names with special characters

    Hi,
    I trying to run the xjc against an XSD where element names (class names) have an "_" in them. For eg ACCOUNT_AKG.
    JAXB creates a class ACCOUNTAKG and omits the "_". I need "_" to be preserved in the class name of the class is generated.
    Can someone show me the right direction , so I can create classes with "_" preserved in the class name.
    This would be a big help
    thanks

  • Is the whole jar loaded for a single class?

    Hi,
    Hopefully this is an easy yes/no question.
    If my application makes reference to only a single class in a jar that has many other classes, does the entire jar (all the other classes) get loaded into memory?
    If so, then it's worth it to break the jars up into only those classes I need (they're third party jars). Otherwise, I'll have to look for some other solution.
    TIA.
    Mike

    No you don't.Yes he does - he was big enough to admit it - can't you?
    import xyz.* doesn't "load everything in memory" as
    schapel stated. You better read chapter 1 of your book
    again (and again until it sinks in) before answering
    advanced forum's questions.Perhaps you should reread schapel's post before making hot-headed replies to the advanced forum's questions. Besides, you must not read these forums too much because this topic comes up a lot.

  • Loading and Unloading of Classes

    Hi All,
    I m trying to use the Digester APIs for XML parsing. Iam using the version 1.6. However, on the server where the application will be deployed, the Digester JARs already exist but an older version.
    due to some reason these old JARs cannot be unloaded or replaced with the latest JARs.
    My question is it possible to force load my new JAR and use it?
    Is it possible to unload the old JAR and reload the new one using a customised Class Loader?
    I am using IBM Websphere 5.1
    any inputs wud be highly appreciated!
    Thanksm
    gunjan sahay

    You cant unload the existing classes. Depending on how the server uses its classes you can get it to use some from your preferred library though.
    You can use a URL classloader to load your classes and use only those classes returned from that classloader. A lot of people on the Eclipse forums had to conquer the same issue.
    But i cant say if it will work. Depends on how the server finds the classes. if it asks you for the classloader, you are set, if not you are hosed.

  • Loading resources with customized class loader

    I have a customized classloader that keeps classes and resources in a table in byte[] form. It works fine as far as loading classes go, I just call defineClass with the byte array corresponding to the class. My problem is how to load resources. I already have the resource data in the table, which you'd think would be a good thing, but the method that has to be overridden (getResource or findResource) is supposed to return an URL to the resource. The only way I can think of to do that is to write the data to a file and return an URL to that file, but I don't even wanna touch that solution with a nine foot stick. Surely there must be a better way!?

    Usually, when your resources are in a custom source, you create and implement your own URL protocol (like jar:). This is done by creating your own java.net.URLStreamHandler and java.net.URLConnection implementations. You can peruse the jar implementation in sun.net.www.protocol.jar as a good example.
    Once you have your own protocol that knows how to get to your resource file and how to identify and extract a resource, you simply use that protocol in the URLs returned by your ClassLoader. The resource URLs can then be used as you would normally use any URL.
    A tutorial describing how all of this works, and how to implement your own is at:
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/protocolhandlers/
    I hope you find this of some help.
