Localhost not found

Hello.  I am having trouble with DW CS5.5.  When I go to view any  web page (html asp php, etc.) I get an 404 error not found.   This has only
been happening since I installed phpmysql.
When I installed WAMP server I was not getting the green light on the wamp server.  I did some searching on the web and solved this problem.
I don't know how I did this but I finally got the wamp server icon to green. I can also go to to wamp server localhost and connect to phpmysql
and I can create a databases.
I changed a line in httpd:config. I added :81 to the file if I remember correctly (I did this severall months ago) so can't remember exactly.
Anyway - my  url to connect to phpmysql is localhost:81 However, since I did that I cannot connect to localhost in DW.
I called adobe about that and was willing to pay to have them solve the problem.  They said its not there problem but they would send me a
case number and a url page to my email to give me direction.  Well guess what, they never did.
Is there some file in DW that can be changed to reflect this change on localhost?  Any help would be appreciated.
Update.  This appears to be an asp problem.  I can get php and reg html pages to display in browser using :81.  But I have to type it tin.  Is
there some file that can be changed so I don't have to manually type in the  Also, I don't have iis installed.  Could this be the probem as to
why asp pages that show correctly in the browser?

Apache server's won't recognize ASP pages.  You need a Windows server.

  • Localhost "URL not found"

    Greetings.
I have done this successfully before...
In watching a Lynda.com tutorial on how to install Joomla through a web based installation through the 'Sites" folder on my home drive - it clearly shows using Firefox... localhost/mission14/ (mission14 being my web folder name)
But I am getting this error "The requested URL /mission14 was not found on this server."
It almost feels like the preferences for Firefox or something similar is not pointing to the right Sites folder - if that makes sense. Because nothing I put in my "Sites" folder is showing in a localhost directory search, except the basic text only Apache splash screen, which I can't even find in the Sites folder.
Anyone with any ideas on why this did work and now might not?
    Thank You.

    * UPDATE *
I can find the folder if I use my computers address...
    "10.0..../~FECNetwork/mission14"
    But not using localhost/mission14
    What is up with that?

  • Localhost / 127.0.0.1 generates 404 Not Found

When I start the Apache server through System Preferences -> sharing and then point my browser to localhost or 127.0.0.1 I get a
    "Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.33 Server at XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Port 80"
Might I have misconfigured something? It feels like a root should always "be found"
    Any help much apreciated!

    >Might I have misconfigured something? It feels like a root should always "be found"
Only if you've added an index.html file in your document root directory. If you don't have one then apache will throw an error.
In any case, check the error log /var/log/httpd/error_log which should give more info as to what's wrong.

  • CUPS localhost:631/admin gives 404 not found

This is a bit of a story and also a pretty tough nut. A friend has a MacBook that lost its ability to print on the university campus. Because of the printer setup here, it is necessary to use CUPS to connect to a printer. She visited tech support at her institute where an overly confident techie told her the problem was that she needed to update something. He the proceeded to do this work for her without really saying what he did. After this the problem got worse and he had no idea how to fix it, sending her on her way with a computer that was worse than when she came.
When I try to open CUPS through localhost:631 I get the correct menu and everything seems in order. When I however try to access localhost:631/admin then I get a 404 not found error message. It's like it's not there. I checked if CUPS is running in terminal and this bit is a bit of a conundrum as well.
I looked for it using "ps -e", but I cannot see any process that matches cups. If I try to load cups using launchctl however I am told that it is already running. I can apparently also unload and reload cups without difficulty.
Another thing I noticed was that her cupsd.config-file was in the beginning simply called "cups.config", while she also had a cupsd.config.bak and a cupsd.config.0. Googleing also confirmed that this file should have been dubbed "cupsd.config" (notice the missing 'd' after cups). I changed this an reloaded CUPS, but nothing changed.
A part of me thought about reinstalling cups, or even updating it to a newer version, but I can't seem to understand quite how that is done. I could also not seem to find a guide online on how to do this.
The current version of CUPS installed is 1.4, and the Mac is running Os X 1.6.8.
Does anyone have some idea of how to attack this problem?

  • Postfix relay=none, ... status=deferred (Host or domain name not found...

    Hi,
I actually posted this question 2 weeks ago but under the wrong topic. So, first of all wanted to apologise for double-posting... but since no one replied, I thought I'd try again under the right topic.
I've been trying to solve this all day today (that was Feb 26th). I used to be able to send emails but for some reason it does not work anymore. At first I thought it was a problem with php (I use entropy pack php 5.2.6) but after searching the topic, I think it is a problem with my network. BTW OS is 10.5.5 and Postfix version 2.4.3
First of all, after computer restart, I don't think postfix starts automatically
Running 'sudo postfix start' gives me:
postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system
    Looking at '/var/log/mail.log' I find:

Running 'sudo postfix check' does not give me any errors
Checking my '/etc/resolv.conf' it has nameserver 192.168.1.1
    Running 'ifconfig | grep netmask | grep -v 127.0.0.1 | awk {'print $2'}L' gives:
    192.168.1.5
Checking http://switch.richard5.net/2006/08/19/fatal-open-lock-file-pidmasterpid/ and running 'launchctl list' gives me a long list but no item matches org.postfix.master
    Running 'ps aux|grep postfix' gives

    I looked at http://www.postfix-book.com/debugging.html

Running 'ping 134.169.9.107' takes a long time. After a while I stop it and get:

I have not idea what the problem is and/or how to fix it. I know the messages get to the postfix daemon but for some reason they do not continue on their way.
Please, does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
    TIA,
    Elle

Dynamic IP addresses with DynDNS Updater (or equivalent) makes it pretty darned reliable, particularly if you buy DynDNS' Mailhop Forward service, which prevents the likes of roadrunner.com and aol.com from blocking mail coming from your server just because it lives in dynamicIP-land. Way cheaper than paying your ISP extra for a static IPA, too, and totally acceptable for low-volume, residential-based servers for personal not-for-profit use.
Regarding reliable delivery to a dynIPA server, you are only at risk of non-receipt for perhaps a few minutes immediately following when your ISP rotates your WAN IPA, until DynDNS Updater (or equivalent) updates the DynDNS (or equivalent) servers with your new WAN IPA. But that's really not a problem because I think all, well, okay, most, smtp servers will queue for a redelivery attempt if the initial delivery attempt just happens to occur at that time.
I wouldn't suggest this practice for high-volume enterprise-class servers or for people trying to run a bootleg mail server business for profit (besides, the ISP would shut it down as an abuse of terms of service, anyways), but for low-volume, residential-based servers for personal use and enjoyment, which I suspect is the case for the O.P., I can't say that I find anything unreliable about my dynamic IP-based mail server.

  • SharePoint Designer workflow gives Claims Authentication error for some users. Problem getting output claims identity. The specified user or domain group was not found.

We have a SharePoint Enterprise 2013 system at RTM level.  We've installed Workflow Manager 1.0 by following the steps at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj658588.aspx.  For the final step of Validating the Installation we created a simple list-level workflow and verified that the workflow
is invoked successfully.  This is working successfully, but only for a single user.  If other users in the same site collection try to invoke the workflow on this same list we get the ULS Log Error:
Claims Authentication          af3zp Unexpected STS Call Claims Saml: Problem getting output claims identity. Exception: 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The specified user or domain group was not found. --->
System.Security.Principal.IdentityNotMappedException: Some or all identity references could not be translated.
    followed by:
Failed to issue new security token. Exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The specified user or domain group was not found. ---> System.Security.Principal.IdentityNotMappedException: Some or all identity references could not be translated.
    (as details below).
All accounts that are attempting to use the Test Workflow (both working and non-working user accounts) are valid AD accounts and are included in the User Profile Sync that runs nightly.  All have Contribute or Design permission level (and for testing,
    Full Control).
What could cause the Claims Authentication to fail when certain users attempt to launch the workflow?
    Thank you for your response.
    Jim Mac.

    Hi Aries,
I am facing issue with work flow where Workflow goes to Suspend mode.
I am facing an issue with SP2013 Custom Workflow developed using Visual Studio 2012.
Objective of the Custom workflow: User fills the form and submit, list get updated and workflow will initiate and go for the process.
Issue: After the deployment of WF, for first time when user is filling the form and submit, list is getting updated. But the Workflow Goes to "Suspend" mode. (
This Custom Workflow has a configuration file where we are providing other details including ID of Impersonator (farm is running under Claim Based Authentication).
Work flow works fine once when the Impersonator initiate the workflow (Fill the form and submit for approval) and everything works fine after that.
    Following steps are already performed
1.Make sure User profile synchronization is started.
2.Make sure the user is not the SharePoint system user.
3.Make sure the user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
4.Step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
From the ULS logs it seems the user's security token from the STS service and User profile service is not being issued.
    Appreciate any thoughts or solution.
    Following are the log files.

  • Site not found using Sharepoint Designer 2013, Load balance URL and the Front end servers.

    Dears,
My SharePoint farm is with the below configuration in our office :
Batch processing server the with Central Administration
Web Front End Sever 1 (http://wfe01)
Web Front End Sever 2 (http://wfe02)
I do have the load balance URL as http://finance.mycompany.com and as per the system administrator it seems configured properly.
In AAM i have mapped the URLs as below for the web application in Central Administration portal:
    http://finance.mycompany.com - Default Zone
    http://wfe01 - Intranet Zone
    http://wfe02 - Internet Zone
I was able to browse the site via the load balance URL : http://finance.mycompany.com, but couldn't open the site using the Share Point Designer 2013. It always says the site not found.
    please advise,
    thanks,
    Ammar

What do the wfe01 and wfe02 aams do?
Are you browsing to the SharePoint site and using SPD on the same computer, is it part of the farm or a seperate client computer?
thanks Alex a lot for your response and appreciate the same.
WFE01, WFE01 is connected to the one central admin on Batch Processing Server (central admin URL is http://SharepointCA:5555 and the SharePoint Web Application is hosted under port 80 on the same server). So the AAM configured on the batch processing server
    central admin.
I can connect to the site using the SPD inside the Batch Processing server if i mention the site urs as http://localhost. But not from other client computers by putting the load balance URL - http://finance.mycompany.com.
I can browse the sites directly putting http://wfe01, http://wfe02 and as well as the load balance URL (http://finance.mycompany.com). The custom webparts are getting crashed when i put the web application URL as http://finance.mycompany.com.
    thanks,
    Ammar

  • Stand alone APEX listener install fails with timezone region  not found

    Hi,
I have searched the forum but found only a thread for the installation with Goldfish.
I am very new to all this so I apologise if my problem is too simple, but please help as I am very frustrated with it.
I have a 10.2.0.4 database on Windows XP for testing with.
I installed APEX into it successfully, then down loaded the listener.
I have to Java installations, one under my Oracle Home, the other under Middleware where I have JDeveloper installed.
If I try $ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java -jar apex.war it throws a Unsupported class version so I tried with the Middleware jdk and it appeared to install.
I then went to http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure and entered the password for APEX_PUBLIC_USER and the info for a basic connection, it fails with the following message
Request could not be processed due to error:
    Sat Apr 30 00:06:30 CAT 2011
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01882: timezone region not found
Please if anyone can help me through asap this I would be most grateful

    Yay, I found the solution:
    I started by running:
    begin
    for v_rec in (select tzname,tz_offset(tzname) v_offset from v$timezone_names
    where tzabbrev='CAT') loop
    dbms_output.put_line('tzname '||v_rec.tzname||', offset '|| v_rec.v_offset);
    end loop;
    end;
    SQL> /
    tzname Africa/Khartoum, offset +03:00
    tzname Africa/Windhoek, offset +01:00
    tzname America/Anchorage, offset -08:00
    tzname US/Alaska, offset -08:00
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
I then added -Duser.timezone="+01:00" before the apex.war ie
    java –jar -Duser.timezone="+01:00" apex.war

  • Class Not Found in Server Application

I have set up a basic server application. It contains three files namely
    Arith.java (implements the Remote interface)
ArithImpl.java (implements Arith.java the server) and
ArithApp.java which is the client Application
    All of these are in the same package. I have compiled all of these files and I execute the rmic ArithImpl command from within the ArithImpl.java file via Runtime.getRuntime.exec(...);
The stub and skeleton files are generated and still I get a class not found exception. I have checked the class path and these files are within the class path.
If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

    Okay, first things first,
You did put the class into a package? good.
You did compile the class, so we no longer care about the .java file, only the .class file, right?
You read documentation on deploying applications in tomcat? If not, do a google search.
As was started earlier, keep things under Tomcat/webapps/yourapp at least until you get things up and working. Then worry about changing paths, mapped drives, and all those other things. Do this one step at a time and you will get there. Try to do too much at once and you will get lost and frustrated.
If you find the documetnation about deplying your applications in tomcat, you will also find info on how to change the absolute path of the context and/or host
A good place to start is: http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/index.html

  • Local file not found in browser

    Hi!
I struggle building my first web site. The core is a photo album, created in jAlbum. To this album, I want to link from a Welcome page created in Rapid Weaver.
To try this linking out locally, I put the album in my Sites folder, enable Web Sharing and give Everybody Read-Only permission to the disk (called Dates, containing may Home folder, no system).
Now when I enter the address of the index of the album into my browser, I get "Not found". No difference if I use Safari or Firefox, of if I include the tilde or not. So it is no wonder that a link from the Rapid Weaver page doesn't work either.
    http://192.168.0.199/~hening/Sites/Landshape/album/index.html
I'll try to keep the Mac running so you can check it out.
    What's wrong?
Thank you for your help! - Hening.

The problem looks like it is with your URL. You don't include the Sites folder in the path... try http://192.168.0.199/~hening/Landshape/album/index.html instead.
If that doesn't work, there are too many variables here to be able to troubleshoot it remotely. You need to simplify, and add elements one at a time to figure out where the problem is. For example, first make sure the server is working properly by just going to http://localhost and seeing what happens. (On a SL system, you should see a page that just says "It works!") If that works, put a very basic index.html page in your Sites folder, then go to http://localhost/~hening/index.html and see what you see. Continue from there.

Things seems to work, but I'm a bit worried.
It has just started. PS/2 atkbd stuff went fine.
    journalctl shows

    What should I post?

The systemd build hook looks like this:
    build() {
    local rules unit
    # from base
    add_binary /bin/mount
    add_binary /usr/bin/kmod /usr/bin/modprobe
    # systemd
    add_binary /usr/lib/systemd/systemd /init
    add_binary /usr/bin/systemd-tmpfiles
    # generate sysroot.mount and sysroot-usr.mount
    add_file "/usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-fstab-generator"
    # udev rules and systemd units
    map add_udev_rule "$rules" \
    50-udev-default.rules \
    60-persistent-storage.rules \
    64-btrfs.rules \
    80-drivers.rules \
    99-systemd.rules \
    map add_systemd_unit \
    ctrl-alt-del.target \
    initrd-cleanup.service \
    initrd-fs.target \
    initrd-parse-etc.service \
    initrd-root-fs.target \
    initrd-switch-root.service \
    initrd-switch-root.target \
    initrd-udevadm-cleanup-db.service \
    initrd.target \
    kmod-static-nodes.service \
    sockets.target \
    [email protected] \
    systemd-journald.service \
    systemd-tmpfiles-setup-dev.service \
    systemd-udev-trigger.service \
    systemd-udevd-control.socket \
    systemd-udevd-kernel.socket \
    systemd-udevd.service
    add_symlink "/usr/lib/systemd/system/default.target" "initrd.target"
    # libdbus needs the passwd info of the root user
    # TODO: make sure this is no longer necessary when systemctl moves to sd-bus
    add_file "/etc/nsswitch.conf"
    add_file "/etc/passwd"
    add_binary "$(readlink -f /usr/lib/libnss_files.so)"
    # udev wants /etc/group since it doesn't launch with --resolve-names=never
    add_file "/etc/group"
Do all of those files exist on your sytemd? I'm not running testing nor systemd in my initrd, so I can't do much checking.
Edit: You're not the only one. Bug report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/39059
