Location of connector in PXI-6040E and source of connectors and backshells?

We are planning to use the PXI-6040E MIO with a short ribbon cable and need the location of the I/O connector on the back panel. Could you also provide the part number and source of a connector and backshell for 68 way ribbon cable?

I'm not quite sure what it is that you want. Hopefully, I can do some questioning such that you can come back with a little more information for me.
Looking at a PXI E Series device, do you want to know how the device signals route to the different pins via the pinout of the device? Do you want to know where the signals get routed on the back of the device, where it gets plugged into the PXI backplane?
After reading your post, it sounds like you want to use a PXI card without using a PXI chassis. Is that correct? You want to connect a ribbon cable to it? Hopefully you can clear some of these things up for me such that I can provide you with a sufficient answer.
I can direct you to some information regarding how National Instruments PXI Boards Map to the PXI Backplane. You can also find common cables and connectors in the following document - Multifunction DAQ Accessories.
Sorry I couldn't be of more immediate help.

  • File to File and then Call ABAP Program and pass file name and location

    Hi
I am new to PI and am working on the following requirement and some guidance would help:
A file is picked up from a third party server using FTP and is put in an SAP server in a specific location. After I have put in the file successfully, I need to call an ABAP program and provide the name and location of the file for further processing by the ABAP program.
Although I am familiar with File to File, how can I add in the ABAP call with the filename and location? I do not want to pass any other information to the ABAP program.
    Thanks for your help.
    Manoj

I think I get what you're saying. This additional file would have the file and the path in it's content. I would then use this as a source (FCC?) for Mapping with the RFC. Right?
Exactly and yes, FCC would be helpful
Would you have a sample OS script to do the above?
Actually it depends on the operating system on which your PI system is standing. For instance for Windows, you might try with the following as a start point (but I was not able to test it, so I can't guarantee it will do the job):
    cmd.exe /C "%f %F > C:\target_directory\%DATE%_%TIME%.txt"
In case you needed more, try googling on "windows batch script" or similar.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg

I have located the appropriate place on the "Page Source" file for effecting the change. ''But, I am not able to effect the change, as the file does not accept the editing.'' Please, advise
how I can effect the change and also save the changes effected...Thanks

It is View > Page Source and not Edit > Source, so you can't make changes to the source in Firefox.<br />
You will have to do that via an external editor.<br />

  • GRC 10 - Legacy connector as user detail data source

    Hello,
I'm trying to use a legacy connector (with a text file as input) as a user data-source.
Repository user sync for this legacy connector works : checked GRACUSER table, it is populated with all the user details from the input file (id,firstname, lastname, mail, department, phone
I got it working for user search data source : when creating an access request for "other" user, searching for a user ID/name works : data are displayed in search result, however when I select the user from the serach result the user details are not populated in an access-request form.
Any clue about this ? Any one already got this working ?
    GRC 10.0 SP13.
Checked SP14 and SP15 release notes, and found no relevant notes yet.

    Regards,
    Emmanuel.

    Hi Pedro,
You only have confirmed that 2 accounts are maintained in HCM and in SU01 as well, so you would be able to see these accounts' details both ways.
Yes, you are right about user account maintenance first in HCM at the time of new hire, then you can manually raise the access request to grant them access to various SAP systems. Or in order to automate this process as Prasahant suggested, you can take help from HR Triggers.
You can refer: GRC 10.0 - HR Trigger configuration - Governance, Risk and Compliance - SCN Wiki
But responding to your original discussion, whatever user accounts are maintained in HCM you would see those details provided you define HR for the "user search data source" AND from SU01 for "user detail data source"
In your case you have 2 accounts which have been maintained in HCM as well as SU01, so that is what creating confusion for you.
Let us know if you need any more clarifications.

  • Ip source guard feature and dhcp DHCP scope exhaustion (client spoofs other clients)

    Hi everybody.
A dhcp server assigns ip adress based on mac address carried by client hardware field in dhcp packets.
One potential attack is when a rogue host mimics different mac addresses and causes dhcp server to assign the ip addresses until no ip address is left for legitimate host.
For e.g a host h1 with mac1 has assigned ip address by dhcp server as:
    199.199.199.1 mac1
Dhcp server has the above entry in its database.
Using hacking tools such as Yersinia or Gobbler one can create a dhcp discover messages each time creating a different mac for client hardware field in dhcp server thereby causing a dhcp server to assign ip addresses because to dhcp server , these are legitimate dhcp discover messages with each carrying a different mac in client hardware addresses.
You might say use dhcp snooping and it will prevent that (  dhcp scope exhaustion) and configure the switch to check if src mac matches the client hardware address in dhcp message. But still we can creat spoofed discover messages where src mac in ethernet header will match the client hardware address in dhcp discover message. We still did not overcome the problem.
You might say use IP source guard feature but will it really prevent that problem from happening?
    Let me illustrate it :
    h1---------f1/1SW---------DHCP server
Let say we have configured dhcp snooping on sw1 and f1/1 is untrusted port.  The switch has following dhcp binding
    199.199.199.1    mac1   vlan1  f1/1
Next we configure ip source guard to  validate both src mac and src ip against the dhcp bindings  . When  we configures ip source guard first  , it will allow dhcp communication only so a host can request ip address and a dhcp binding can be built. After that ip source guard will validate src ip or src mac or both against the dhcp binding.depending upon how we configure ip source guard.
In our case we have configured ip source guard to validate both src mac and src ip against the dhcp binding.
A dhcp binding is already created as:
    199.199.199.1 mac1 vlan 1 f1/1
Now using the hacking tools Yersinia or Gobbler on h1, we create our first spoofed dhcp discover message  where src mac=mac2 in ethernet header and  client harware address= mac2 in dhcp discover message. Since switch is configured with ip source guard feature and therefore allows dhcp discover message to pass through. Dhcp server upon receiving the dhcp message assigns another ip address from the pool. Now the dhcp server has following entries:
    199.199.199.1 mac1
    199.199.199.2 mac2.
We can continue to craft spoofed dhcp discover messages as mentioned above and have dhcp server keep assigning ip addresses until the whole pool is exhausted.
So my question is how does  ip source guard in conjuction with dhcp snooping prevent this particular attack from happening? ( i.e DHCP scope exhaustion)
    I really appreciate your input.
thanks and have a great week.

    Thanks Karthikeyan.
First of all, we gather all the information about the  locations of legitimate dhcp servers in our network. Once we have this information, we will configure the ports used to reach them as trusted. All the ports where end users will connect will be untrusted and therefore subject to dhcp snooping .
it means if any of user connected in that switch/vlan runs a dhcp  services like vmware for eg. Snooping will prevent the dhcp/bootp  servers connected to that port will not be able to process.
Yes that is correct. Because dhcp snooping feature will check these ports for the messages usually sent by dhcp server such as dhcp offer, etc. If the end user is running dhcp server using virtual machine, that port should be configured as trusted if it is dertermined  that end user is running a legitimate dhcp server using vm ware.
When we have the dhcp snooping it prevents the 1st level of hacking  itself. I don't think so it will have any impact on dhcp address  releasing.
I am sorry. You lost me here. What is 1 level of hacking?
Dhcp snooping checks for dhcp messages such as dhcp release, dhcp decline.on untrusted port against the dhcp bindings.
    Here is why;
    h1---------SW1-------dhcp server
                   |
                 h2
Let say we don't have dhcp snooping in above attack and  h2 is a legitimate user has already assigned ip address 199.199.199.2 by dhcp server. Thus the dhcp server has an entry:
    199.199.199.2 mac2
Next we connect rogue user and it gets ip address 199.199.199.1 now the dhcp server has entries:
    199.199.199. 1  mac1
    199.199.199.2   mac2
Now using hacking tools, h1 create a fake dhcp release message  with  199.199.199.199.2   mac2
Dhcp server upon receiving this message, will release the ip address and returns it to the pool.
By using DHCP snooping, switch will peer inside dhcp release message and checks against the binding. If there is conflict, it will drop the message.
    IFor e.g
If have dhcp snooping configured , then switch will have adhcp binding as:
    199.199.199.1    mac1    vlan 1   f1/1  lease time
    199.199.199.2     mac2    vlan 2    f1/2 lease time.
If h1 tries to send fake dhcp release with ip address 199.199.199.2    mac2
Switch will check ip address 199.199.199.2  and mac2 against the binding related to f1/1 . Sw will find a conflict and therefore drops the dhcp release packet.
    Thanks

  • Heuristic run @ destination location is creating the purchase requisition without source plant

    Hello All,
    Trust you are doing well.
Believe this is the good time to connect with you all get some advice on the below mentioned scenario:
Material (XXXXXX) is discontinued at source location (Plant specific material status: 90) but the same material
(XXXXXX) is still used in destination location (plant specific material status: 60). Here heuristic run @ destination location is creating the purchase requisition without source plant.
Here the customer expectation is that “SNP should not create the order, since the material is discontinued in source plant”
    Could you please advise?
    Regards,
    Prabin

    Hi Prabin,
You can change the SNP profile to NO PLANNING automatically and exclude the target location from the SNP run. Maybe you can try using Badi: SMOD_APOCF005.
This is what I would do:
1- Do not exclude the status 90 in the iModel.
2- Then when you change the status in order to discontinue a material at the source location you will be changing the status from 60 to 90 and you will CIF this modification to APO. At this time, I would use the BAdI: SMOD_APOCF005 to identify this situation. You will need to add a code in order to identify what are the possible target plants of your source plant and you will need to change the SNP Profile at the target location.. look for a BAPI for this...
Take a look of this document to see an example code of SMOD_APOCF005:
APO SNP - Master Data Automation
    Kind Regards,
    Mariano

  • Alert with EventId 33333 and Source DataAccessLayer

    Hello!
I have developed an Outbound connector.
In occasions that are not still clear to me, this error exits in the Operations Manager log of my RMS (root mgmt server):

    But still the error happens.
    Some hint ?
    Lizzie!

    Hello!
Prorably your idea is the right solution but I need one more suggestion:
Currently I have a method that periodically check the alerts for the connector:
    alerts = connector.GetMonitoringAlerts();
    if (alerts.Count > 0)
    foreach (ConnectorMonitoringAlert alert in alerts)
                           ...do...
I was thinking to put the alert.Refresh inside the foreach. Whad do you think ?

  • Where to find connectors for PXIe plugin card

Can anyone help with information about XP4/XJ4 connectors for PXIe: Suitable vendor type numbers?
We want to make a custom card to plug into a PXIe-1071 chassis - but only need the 3.3V power from the chassis. But after long search I was unable to find a type number for such a connector. XJ4 is the smallest but obviously any of the connector types will do as they all have power pins.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello heel.
I have searched in our internal papers, and according to my findings we are using ERNI as a manyfactor for our connectors.
    ERNI
Also, since you want to design for own PXI board, you might be able to find some usefull information in the PXI specifications.
    PXI Systems Alliance
I hope you can use this information.

SAP Sourcing Supplier Management - Brief Intro
SAP Sourcing Supplier Management enables the following capabilities:
Centralized supplier database: Create a central repository of all your Supplier records with all the associated documentation including scorecards, financial statements, risk assessments, and insurance certificates can help support periodic supplier reviews to audit compliance.
Integrated Supplier Portal: Each Supplier has a personalized portal that allows him to view all relevant information to manage their relationship with you. Suppliers respond to bid requests and auctions, view scorecard performance, maintain their own contact and category records, and view active contracts. This holistic and easy-to-use interface greatly reduces the time it takes for Suppliers to become proficient working over the Internet and decreases their cost of doing business with you.
Supplier Scorecard Sharing: The ability to easily track and analyze supplier performance can reduce risk and costs. SAP Sourcing’s flexibility allows you to establish metrics and evaluation criteria based on category and region.  For reporting purposes, you can generate a scorecard over periods of time, such as each quarter, to monitor a supplier’s progress over the course of a year.  Automatic assignment of traffic light indicators quickly highlights areas requiring attention from Supplier managers.  The ability to share Supplier scorecards through the Supplier portal enables full collaboration and sharing of information to ensure optimal performance.
Supplier Self-Registration: Suppliers can self-register in SAP Sourcing, or you can invite them to become users. The registration form can be configured to collect the most relevant information to accelerate the supplier qualification process.  When new Suppliers are accepted, their registration form responses are used to generate the initial Supplier record.
Supplier Profile Maintenance: As the supplier information changes, Suppliers can update their product and contact information through the Supplier portal, saving the Sourcing organization from the administrative burden of researching and updating supplier information.
Supplier Relationship Activities: A successful Supplier relationship is built and sustained over time through a series of ongoing, recurring activities. These include routine tasks such as safety, insurance, and diversity certifications, as well as strategic joint meetings and planning activities. SAP Sourcing delivers an automated tracking and alert system that enables you to manage Supplier-specific activities with less effort.  The system automatically sends alerts to Suppliers when tasks are due.   In response Suppliers can modify profile and contact information and send updated certificates online through the SAP Sourcing Supplier Portal and the new, reviewed information is updated directly to the Supplier record.
Supplier Diversity Promotion: SAP Sourcing offers a unified system to help increase the number of qualified diverse suppliers, achieve desired participation and award rates, and track compliance without additional resources.   For example, diversity qualifications seamlessly flow from the self-registration form, to the Supplier record, to RFx responses for “extra credit” on scoring.  Buyers inviting suppliers to events now have easy access to a single, searchable supplier database that includes category, location, and diversity information, lowering the threshold for compliance.

  • Mating smb connectors for pxi-4472

Where can I obtain mating smb connectors for pxi-4472 Dynamic Signal Analyzer. Prefer vendor and part number if possible. Also is this input a 50 or 75 ohm?
    Thanks.

Here is a link to the SMB connectors that are sold through NI: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=12702〈=US.
The minus input of the PXI-4472 connects to ground through a 50ohm resistor. Impedence matching is usually only important when preventing reflection of high-frequency signals, and with this board all high-frequencies will be filtered out with the anti-alias filters.

  • Pdf portfolio source file name and date in file details

Is it possible to import the source file name and extension as well as the source file created date in the portfolio file details?  Need to document source to portfolio in working with 3rd parties that will only have the original source.  Need to document what was converted into pdf as not all files in a directory will successfully convert to pdf.  Sometimes need to convert 100's of files.  Manual entry is inefficient.  the file names and modified dates are displayed on the Combine Files dialog.  is there a way to capture the detail on that page?

I don't need the detail of when the pdf was added to the portfolio.  I
need know which dwg or jpg or word file was converted and the original
created date of that file for control of information.
That is impossible; sorry. For some *very specific* types of conversion to PDF the pdfx:SourceModified XMP tag will be set to show the last-modification date of the source file (for example DOCX files converted using MS Word), but there will never be a human-readable record of the source filename or its creation date unless you have manually added them as document XMP properties after conversion (this is what the "Custom Properties" dialog is for). To embed source data automatically would raise no end of privacy and security problems for customers, who most certainly do NOT want their recipients seeing details of internal documents.
Without writing a plugin there's no access to the internal workflow of the Combine Files dialog, so you cannot use a script to read the names and dates of the files *before* conversion and store them automatically in the new PDF Portfolio's Fields array.

  • Why does the new operating system not delete the moved files from their original location - it seems like an enormous waste of space, time and effort to clean up every file once you've moved it

Why does the new operating system not delete the moved files from their original locations - it seems like an enormous waste of space, time and effort to clean up every file once you've moved it - also, when transferring large amounts of files it becomes a very large problem remembering which files were transferred and which not.

You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them.
