============================
Purpose
Explanation
column username format a10
column sid format 999
column lock_type format a15
column MODE_HELD format a11
column MODE_REQUESTED format a10
column LOCK_ID1 format a8
column LOCK_ID2 format a8
select a.sid,
decode(a.type,
'MR', 'Media Recovery',
'RT', 'Redo Thread',
'UN', 'User Name',
'TX', 'Transaction',
'TM', 'DML',
'UL', 'PL/SQL User Lock',
'DX', 'Distributed Xaction',
'CF', 'Control File',
'IS', 'Instance State',
'FS', 'File Set',
'IR', 'Instance Recovery',
'ST', 'Disk Space Transaction',
'IR', 'Instance Recovery',
'TS', 'Temp Segment',
'IV', 'Library Cache Invalidation',
'LS', 'Log Start or Switch',
'RW', 'Row Wait',
'SQ', 'Sequence Number',
'TE', 'Extend Table',
'TT', 'Temp Table',
a.type) lock_type,
decode(a.lmode,
0, 'None', /* Non Lock equivalent */
1, 'Null', /* N */
2, 'Row-S (SS)', /* L */
3, 'Row-X (SX)', /* R */
3, 'Row-X (SX)', /* R */
4, 'Share', /* S */
5, 'S/Row-X (SSX)', /* C */
6, 'Exclusive', /* X */
to_char(a.lmode)) mode_held,
decode(a.request,
0, 'None', /* Mon Lock equivalent */
1, 'Null', /* N */
2, 'Row-S (SS)', /* L */
3, 'Row-X (SX)', /* R */
4, 'Share', /* S */
5, 'S/Row-X (SSX)', /* C */
6, 'Exclusive', /* X */
to_char(a.request)) mode_requested,
to_char(a.id1) lock_id1, to_char(a.id2) lock_id2
from v$lock a
where (id1,id2) in
(select b.id1, b.id2 from v$lock b where b.id1=a.id1 and
b.id2=a.id2 and b.request>0);
SID LOCK_TYPE MODE_HELD MODE_REQUE LOCK_ID1 LOCK_ID2
5 Transaction Exclusive None 262172 90
6 Transaction None Exclusive 262172 90
9 Transaction None Exclusive 262172 90
2. Lock
column username format a10
column lockwait format a10
column sql_text format a80
column object_owner format a14
column object format a15
select b.username username, c.sid sid, c.owner object_owner,
c.object object, b.lockwait, a.sql_text SQL
from v$sqltext a, v$session b, v$access c
where a.address=b.sql_address and
a.hash_value=b.sql_hash_value and
b.sid = c.sid and c.owner != 'SYS';
USERNAME SID OBJECT_OWNER OBJECT LOCKWAIT
SQL
LTO2 6 LTO EMP C3D320F4
update lto.emp set empno =25 where empno=7788
LTO3 9 LTO EMP C3D320C8
delete from lto.emp where empno=7788
LTO 5 LTO DEPT
insert into lto.dept values (60,'PROGRAMMER','LOS ANGELOS')
column "ORACLE USER" format a11
column SERIAL# format 9999999
column "OS USER" format a8
select substr(s.username,1,11) "ORACLE USER", p.pid "PROCESS ID",
s.sid "SESSION ID", s.serial#, osuser "OS USER",
p.spid "PROC SPID",s.process "SESS SPID", s.lockwait "LOCK WAIT"
from v$process p, v$session s, v$access a
where a.sid=s.sid and
p.addr=s.paddr and
s.username != 'SYS';
ORACLE PROCESS SESSION SERIAL# OS USER PROC SESS LOCKWT
USER ID ID SPID SPID
LTO 19 5 31 usupport 17312 17309
LTO2 25 6 43 usupport 17313 17310 C3D320F4
LTO3 26 9 1 usupport 17314 17311 C3D320D8
b. SQLDBA>ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '5,31';
c. %kill -9 17309 (유닉스상의 Shadown Process)
stop/id=<SESS SPID> (PROC SPID=SESS SPID on vms running single task)
4. CATBLOCK.SQL & UTLLOCKT.SQL
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin 디렉토리에 있는 스크립트 가운데 catblock.sql과
%cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin
%sqldba lmode=y (svrmgrl
SVRMGR>connect internal
SVRMGR>@catblock
column waiting_session format a8
select lpad(' ',3*(level-1)) || waiting_session,
lock_type,
mode_requested,
mode_held,
lock_id1,
lock_id1,
lock_id2
from lock_holders
connect by prior waiting_session = holding_session
start with holding_session is null;
WAITING_ LOCK_TYPE MODE_REQUE MODE_HELD LOCK_ID1 LOCK_ID2
5 None
6 Transaction Exclusive Exclusive 262172 90
9 Transaction Exclusive Exclusive 262172 90
5. Lock & Hanging
Platform
6. PROCESS STACKS
ex)%truss -p <shadow pid>
(2) oradbx(오라클 debugging 프로그램)은 Support,Development 시에만
(3) oradbx
select substr(s.username,1,11) "ORACLE USER" ,
p.pid "PROCESS ID", s.sid "SESSION ID", s.serial#,
osuser "OS USER", p.spid "PROC SPID"
from v$session s, v$access a, v$process p
where a.sid=s.sid and
p.addr=s.paddr and
s.username != 'SYS';
ORACLE PROCESS SESSION SERIAL# OS USER PROC SESS LOCKWT
USER ID ID SPID SPID
LTO 19 5 31 usupport 17312 17309
LTO2 25 6 43 usupport 17313 17310 C3D320F4
LTO3 26 9 1 usupport 17314 17311 C3D320D8
%cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib
%make -f oracle.mk oradbx
ps -ef | grep 17312
usupport 17312 17309 0 Sep 15 ? 0:00 oracleV713(DESCRIPTION=(LOCAL=YE
type <oradbx>
debug 17312 (이 유저의 oracle shadow process)
dump stack
dump procstat
Hanging
Transaction
create table test (a number) initrans 1 maxtrans 1;
SYSTEM: insert into test values (5); /* completed */
SCOTT: insert into SYSTEM.test values (10); /* Scott waits */
SID OWNER LOCK_TYPE MODE_HELD MODE_REQUE LOCK_ID1 LOCK_ID2

  • Why does Livecycle Designer need to lock scripting on objects with children that are fragments??

    Can someone tell me why Livecycle need to lock scripting on objects with children that are fragments??
    I mean, just because I have a fragment (which you can't edit the script for), why does Livecycle need me to NOT edit say the initialise event on the Main form.
    Yes, I can remove my fragments, edit and reinsert.  Also if the event already has a script, I can edit the xml.  But neither of these are terribly convenient.
    Couldn't there be a better way?

    The purpose of the fragment is to create re-usable or standard components. In most cases the fragment is not created by the same person designing the form and they do not want the from designer to modify any part of the fragment (it is a separate XDP file). There may be code in that fragment that relies on the structure that exists. If you have the rights you can always edit the fragment and when your PDF is created the changes will be picked up.
    If you want to be able to modify the fragment while it is in Design mode sounds to me like you want to add a component to the object library. This will allow you to have a reusable piece of a form that you can modify on a form by form basis. To do this simply build the piece that you want. Lasso the entire form and drag it onto the Custom library. When you release it a dialog will pop up allowing you to name your component. Now on any form design you can drag your new component onto the canvas and all methods/properties and code will come with that component (allowing you to modify it for that form as you see fit).
    Note that you can create your own libraries to hold your components if you see fit. Also if you put your libraries on a shared drive, you can share components between Designers.

    this the template i got to use to make another script for locking the users account.
    I am new DBA been working as developer mostly,i would really apperciate your help.
    Thanxs in advance

    Pull your SQL manual and look up ALTER USER. Locking a user is simple and your shell script is much more complicated than needed for locking a user.
    alter user X account lock;

  • Is there a way to identify user accounts that need to be locked?

    Hi,
    I am trying to write a script that will lock user accounts for employees that are being outprocessed (e.g. quit, fired, went to a different project).  The trouble I'm having is that the way I'm notified is by email from security that a person (first and last name provided in the email) is being outprocessed.  However, that individual may have multiple accounts and the account names don't always follow the same format like 'first initial last name'.  For example, I may have a user named John Doe with accounts like jdoe_sensor1, jdoe_sensor2, etc.  Then there could be a user Alice Smith with account like alice_s_sensor1, alice_s_sensor2, etc.  I know I can use OEM to lock users, but there are two main problems with that.  1 -- Finding the users, then clicking on each user and then locking them one by one.  And 2 -- I may not need to lock them right away.  For example, the email from security may say "Lock all accounts for FIRSTNAME LASTNAME at the end of the day on a certain date.  So I was hoping to write a script to identify the accounts, lock the user, and then verify they were locked and run it in cron, so the accounts get locked when they're supposed to.  An example of the SQL statements I'm thinking of are:
    SELECT username, user_id, account_status FROM dba_users WHERE username like upper ('%$user%');
    ALTER user $user ACCOUNT LOCK;
    SELECT username, user_id, account_status FROM dba_users WHERE username like upper ('%$user%');
    So basically, I need a way to find out what the possible combinations are for $user.  Is there a view besides dba_users which has more detailed information like first name and last name?  I'm thinking if there is, then I can query that and find out all the accounts that user has and then plug those into the lock script.
    Thanks!
    Jon

    There is a very large problem with being given only a person's name and not their user ids.
    For example, if you have two people with same (or similar) name, then what?
    John Doe
    John J. Doe
    This seems to be very common, and even more so with some very common names:
    Smith
    Chin
    etc
    So even if you have a lookup table:
    Name
    Userid
    John Doe
    johndoe
    John Doe
    jdoe
    John J. Doe
    johnd
    J. Doe
    jdoe2
    John D
    john_d
    Jon Doe
    jond
    Jim Doe
    jidoe
    Johnny Doe
    jonydoe
    Really, nowadays, with different policies, practices, etc, I've seen all manner of userids. When you're given somebody to "close down", you should really press them to provide userids, not just first name, last name.
    After all, if they tell you to lock all "John Doe's" accounts, how do you know that the id "johnd" isn't supposed to be locked? or even "jond" ??  You really have no idea. Did security mean "John J. Doe" and didn't provide his initial? What if they both happen to have J middle initial, but once's just registered with the company because the other one existed?
    My thought: If you're not given the specific userid(s), you're running a pretty good risk (at some point in time) that you will lock an id you shouldn't, or not lock an id you should.

  • Slew of bugs (similar to failed to download script thread)

    This is a bug report listing all the problems I’ve encountered with Story and what I was doing when they occurred:
    I logged into Adobe Story using the AIR application in online mode.
    I attempted to open a script, which was originally imported from Movie Magic Screen Writer vs. 6 and had been edited several times in Story prior to this error with no problems. It has also been shared but only for review.
    I received an error reporting that the script was unable to be downloaded.
    I opened another script and worked on it with no errors.
    I tried to open the original script again.
    It opened.
    Upon first scrolling of the script I received an error that Adobe Story encountered a fatal error and would have to be shut down. (Sorry I did not keep the detailed report)
    Upon restart I attempted to open the script again, in online mode.
    Script opens but there is no text.
    I set Adobe AIR to offline mode and open script.
    Script opens with text, but formatting is screwy with seemingly random spaces removed. Reads like this:
    A man uses abetaversion of a program. He expereinceserrors with the program.
    This is consistent every time I open this particular script: in online mode nothing is there, in offline mode formatting is a mess.
    I have one other script in Story and it doesn’t seem to have these issues, however, I was looking for where Story stores offline scripts on my computer for backup purposes due to the above error and was surprised to find no files in the “Adobe Story” folder under “Documents”. I also found no option to select a location to save files to in Story. For backup of critical work this is a required feature. I have to be able to control where my material is stored and do so locally so that if there are fatal errors like above I can recover from a known good locally saved file.
    This concerned me so I attempted to export to Movie Magic Screen Writer. I was alarmed to find no export to SCW option after having imported from it (I think a claim of 3rd party interoperability is pretty absurd if Story can’t export to this popular program). I exported as .txt to try and preserve a backup of work done in Story. This .txt file opens using the Notepad application and is formatted correctly there, but fails to import properly into Movie Magic (no text in script at all).
    I perform a select all and copy in Story of the script.
    I perform a paste in Movie Magic.
    Formatting of text is messy in Movie Magic similar to the above problem.
    Upon immediate return to Story, formatting of this script is also messy and matches exactly the formatting in Movie Magic. Only a select all and copy have been performed on this script. This error is consistent and hapens every time. I have a duplicate copy of this script in its original form in Story. I did a Save AS to create a new script that I used for the above testing and resulting erorrs.
    I hope that you can resolve these issues, but I will only be using the program for sharing capabilities until final release from now on, except to test solutions to this problem if you have them. While I understand this is a beta version, a bug this critical that renders the application useless without a clear means of recoverable locally stored backup ensure that the program is not worth using for editing at this stage.

    Update 2:
    Thought I found work around, made the problem worse in the end but it still might be useful to some:
    Placed AIR app in offline mode, told Story to “Lock Script”.
    Opened script in offline mode, text garbled.
    While still in the script (authoring or editing mode or whatever) placed AIR app into online mode.
    Told Story not to unlock script when prompted.
    After a quick load, script appears properly text is no longer garbled.
    Export as .txt file.
    Export completes buts Story encounters fatal error and has to restart. Detailed report of error:
    <ErrorReport date="Thu, 22 Oct 2009 22:18:43 GMT">
      <session clientVersion="" userName="null" userID="null" sessionID="null" lastSentSequence="0"/>
      <documentMeta documentID="null" userRole="owner" documentVersion="0"/>
      <error message="RangeError: Error #2006">null</error>
      <command name="vu.editor.controllers.document::CmdSave" phase="commandEnd"/>
      <platform version="WIN 10,0,32,18" playerType="Desktop" os="Windows Vista" isDebugger="false"/>
      <trace></trace>
    </ErrorReport>
    .txt file is good, backup successful for use in other programs, so I continue to try and force Story to work.
    Upon restart original errors persist.
    Try above workaround this time saying “No” when prompted to lock scripts when going offline. Workaround is successful again.
    Make a test edit of script in online mode.
    Use standard “Save” command (not save as)
    Close Script, try to reopen receive “Unable to download error”.
    Attempt workaround and still receive error in offline mode.
    Close and reopen AIR app.
    When I place AIR offline and say “Yes” to the lock script prompt I receive the “unable to download” error even though the mode is offline.
    When I say “no” script opens with no text or outline and I am not able to type anything, it is all just grey.
    Checked the browser app, still receive unable to download error.
    That will be all the debugging I’m doing. I was able to recover good versions of both scripts edited in Story using these methods, so I post them for others who may need help. I will however now be going back to Screen Writer.

  • Diff in locks DB&APPS

    Hi,
    What is difference between locks in normal DB and APPS DB?In normal DB we get the user name who has placed a lock and who is trying to get a lock from v$lock ?Why can t we get that same in APPS DB?I mean in apps DB there so many steps to perform to find out the user who has placed a lock and who is trying for lock?
    Regards

    Hi,
    The concept is almost the same except in Oracle Apps you have to find the application username from FND_USER/FND_LOGINS tables (as the standard locking scripts always return the OS user which is APPS for all application users). Moreover, in Oracle Apps database more processes are involved (forms, concurrent, web, ..etc).
    Please see your other thread for more details.

  • Sp_getapplock script not working in SSIS(data tools 2012)

    Hi,
    I have a SSIS package created in 2012 data tools. I have added sql tasks to create and release the locks.
    Create the lock script in sql task1:
    DECLARE @ProcResult int = 0;
    -- Get an exclusive application lock on the package execution resource, to prevent other executions of the same package from doing the same
    EXEC @ProcResult = sp_getapplock @Resource ='a',
                                     @LockMode = 'Exclusive',
                                     @LockOwner = 'Session',
                                     @LockTimeout = 0; -- Do not wait for the lock
    IF @ProcResult < 0
        RAISERROR('Failed to acquire application lock on %s. sp_getapplock returned %d', 16, 1, @PackageResourceName, @ProcResult);
    Release the lock in sql task 2:
    DECLARE @ProcResult int = 0;
    -- Release a previously acquired exclusive application lock on the package execution resource
    EXEC @ProcResult = sp_releaseapplock @Resource ='a',
                                         @LockOwner = 'Session';
    IF @ProcResult < 0
        RAISERROR('Failed to release application lock on %s. sp_releaseapplock returned %d', 16, 1, @PackageResourceName, @ProcResult);
    When I ran this,  the release lock failing with the following error:
    [Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "DECLARE @ProcResult int = 0;
    -- Release a previou..." failed with the following error: "Cannot release the application lock (Database Principal: 'public', Resource: 'a') because it is not currently held.
    Failed to release application lock on a. sp_releaseapplock returned -999". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
    When I use the same above tasks with same scripts in data tools 2010 its working fine. Any thing wrong in 2012 Data tools?
    Please advice. Tx in advance
    Porus

    Hi Porus,
    May be you failed to release the lock from the 1st run, but
    SSDT 2012 should not be used to author SSIS 2012 packages.

  • [python] setting a variable in a loaded module from the main script

    Hi,
    I have have two python scripts, one generally controlling my desktop wallpaper, the other downloads the APOD picture from the net and sets it as my wallpaper.
    At the moment I can get the wallpaper script to load the apod script as a module to use its functionality.
    The problem comes when I try to get the module to recognise variables set from the parent script:
    I have both scripts using the variable  'verbose' to control how much output is printed, (which can be set from the command line options).
    How do I get the 'verbose' variable in the imported module to be the same as the variable set by the script?
    I can get it into an imported function using a keyword assignment when called, 'download(verbose=options.verbose)', but this is forgotten when other functions are called.
    I have also tried making it a global variable.
    I assume it is because I am importing the module and setting the default value before the main script sets its value, but I cant see a way round this.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Drew

    I think I understand why it gives the results it does when run as 'test1.py -v'
    I was just wondering if there was an easier way to get the second script to take and remember the variable without having to write variable=value into the function call every single time? However this is the only way I have found so far.

  • Firing Two Scripts One After Another

    I have a submit button to submit PDF to email and a script to lock fields. But I need it to validate fields first then run the Lock Fields script before submitting it to email.
    The problem I'm having is I can't get it to fire in that order. It will validate then it will submit email and not lock fields or it will lock fields and not validate fields. I have place the Lock Field script in the pre, post, mouseup, mousedown, etc. I'm at a lost with this one.
    Any ideas on whats wrong would be of great help.

    Check this example for using two buttons to accomplish what you're after. Basically, your validate/lock script goes on a visible "submit" button and then fires the click event of a second button that does the actual submission.

  • Trigger VBS Script on Folder Open Help

    I am not a programmer. I learn as I go. I have been looking for a few days for a solution for what I want to accomplish. Basically I want to trigger a VBS script when a folder is opened. I have looked into using windows task scheduler but cannot figure out
    how to set the trigger when a specific folder is opened. I have also looked into vbs folder lock scripts, thinking that I could modify one for my purpose, but they all reference creating a new folder with the script. The folder I want to apply this to already
    exists. I already have the VBS script set up and operational. The script is for making the computer "talk".
    This is what I am looking for:
    Folder located at
    C:\Users\username\Videos\targetfolder
    When this folder is opened I want it to trigger target.vbs file containing this code:
    strText = ("What I want the computer to say")
    Set objvoice = CreateObject ("SAPI.SpVoice")
    ObjVoice.Speak strText
    So when the user clicks on the folder the VBS will be triggered and the computer will "say" what I have set it to.
    Is there an easy way to do this? I feel like I have all of the pieces but cannot put them together. I should also mention, I want to accomplish this without installing any other software. I need this to work on windows XP, 7, 8.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    As in, click on it to view the contents.
    Right now I have the vbs file. I can double click on it and the computer "says" what I want it to say. I can double click on the folder and view the contents. I want both to happen at the same time.
    Essentially, I double click on the folder to view its' contents and hear the audio from the vbs script.
    Can't be done in a script.  In C++ or a compiled program you can create a DLL hook process. With script we can only monitor the available events.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Screen Lock and MS Messenger

    Using Automator, I can create a screen lock script:
    cat
    '/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/User.menu/Contents/Resources/CGSession' -suspend
    But how can I get it to change my MS Messenger status to "Away" before it locks? I tried recording mouse clicks but get an error.

    Same here, I just had that today exept that it was only the sound not the locking!
    I turned the service off incase it remotly wipes my iMac!
