Locked attributes repeated in results table export

I am using Endeca 2.2.2.
When I export results table, the locked attributes are repeated. The locked attributes show twice in the resulting excel file. Is this the expected behavior of the export? Is there a way to export so each attributes will only show once?
Thanks in advance for your input.

That's a bug. It was fixed and should no longer exist in 2.3. I believe it's also been patched on the 2.2.2 release, so you can contact Oracle Support to request that fix if the issue is critical to you and you're able/willing to adopt a patch to your 2.2.2 implementation.

  • Results Table (2.2.2) export missing Security Manager filters

    Hello OEID forum,
    I'm working with the Results Table portlet (v2.2.2), and notice that my exports are not including security filters which we have added in a custom Security Manager.
    When I trace through the ResultsExportPortlet (doExport method) and AbstractExport classes (source included in the endeca-results-export-portlet.war) I seem to see 2 different implementations:
    1. For MDEX 7...
    This code will craft the request to the MDEX web service. I don't see it calling the Security Manager anywhere.
    2. For MDEX 6...
    This code will eventually call com.endeca.portal.data.DataSource.execute, which I believe will call the Security Manager.
    Can anyone confirm that this is correct? So Results Table export for MDEX 7 will not invoke the Security Manager, while the MDEX 6 implementation will?
    Thanks,
    Jerome

    Hi Jerome,
    Thanks for your post. It's worthwhile raising a Service Request for this, so it can be investigated.

  • How to ... SUBMIT Payroll Driver ... EXPORT Result Table TO MEMORY...

    Hi,
    Can someone please help? I need to retrieve the Result Table -RT in my Z-program by simulating the payroll result for any future month. The payroll result cannot be read from RT table as it is for future month.
    I have try to use:
    1. SUBMIT .... EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
    2. CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
    3. CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_TO_ASCI'
    However, this doesn't give me the RT table as simulated when I check both "LISTOBJECT" and "LISTASCI" tables.
    Please suggest if you have better idea in providing the same result.
    Please help!

  • Marketing attributes in result table

    Hello experts,
    how can I display marketing attributes belonging to an account in a result table in account search?
    Thank you in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
    The Base Entity for BP Account Search Result is 'BuilHeader'.
    (You can check in the context node class attributes).
    I think the Marketing Attributes are available in relation 'BuilMktAttributeRel' of 'BuilHeader'. Just validate this in GENIL_BOL_BROWSER searching an existing Account.
    If what I sais is true then you have two methods.
    1. Either create new attributes on Search Result context node using BOL entity BuilMktAttribute  or
    2. Create Display only Value attributes and populate them by writing code to access BuilMktAttributeRel and populate in GET method as you did for Department Name in Target Group. As you will normally only display fields  on Search Result.
    I did a basic analysis, please validate.

  • Query Panel reset is clearing attribute level validations in the results table.

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have a query panel with editable table in a jsf page.
    In the EmployeesEO i have an attribute validation for Salary. that is Salary should not  be a negative value.
    I ran the Jsf page, click on Query panel Search, results are displayed.
    I changed the salary to -100 from 50000 and tabout, error message is shown properly at attribute level.
    I clicked on Query panel's Reset button, now Salary is showing as 50000 in the results table. But when i click on Commit button to save the changes, then -100 is showing and throwing the validation message.
    Can you please let me know if there is any way to not clear the values in the Results Table?
    Thanks,
    Vinod

    Once you submit the values the reset button can't undo these changes. To reset the changes you either need to call rollback or you have set a save point before the changes and then reset to the save point.
    What I don't understand is why the click on the reset does show you the old value.

  • Result table data to be populated based on selection in the result list

    Hi,
    We have a parent data source "P" containing all the record types. Further we have two child data sources each having filters on exclusive record types(for ex. child1 containing record types X, Y, Z and child2 containing record types A, B).
    In our page we have a result list associated with data source child1(record types X, Y, Z) and result table associated with data source child2(record types A, B). There exists common attributes among the attributes present in result list and in the result table.
    Rest of the containers in the page namely search, breadcrumbs, guided navigation point to the parent data source("P") containing all the record types.
    Whenever we select a value from the guided navigation using the common attributes both the result list and result table are getting filtered.
    What we require is that, whenever an attribute(common attribute) is clicked in the result list, the data in the result table needs to get filtered based on the value of the attribute that is clicked.
    Is this possible? If so, pl. suggest how.

    Take a look at the Studio release notes for EID 2.4 http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35976_01/studio.240/RELNOTES.txt a lot of little bugs like the one you describe have been resolved. If you haven't already done so you should upgrade to 2.4.

  • How to add the rows formatted as table headings, Tables headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page.

    Hi all,
    i am facing problem while generating Test Result word document after successful execution of TestStand.
    The Problem is :
    i want to add rows Formatted as table headings, table headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page(marked as Red).
    Example:
    Page  No. 1
    |     Test case Number  |  Test Step number      |
    |      100                         |            100                   |
    Page  No. 2
    |     Test case Number  |  Test Step number      |
    |      200                         |            300                   |
    Test Result word document should generate with Table headings(marked as Red) in every pages of the document, but i am not getting as per above example.
    Please through light on this.
    Regards,
    Susa.

    Hi Santiago,
    Thank you very much for your valuable reply.
    i want to generate MS-word report for TestStand after successful testing using MS-word2000.
    Test report contains Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.
    In my program i have customized all  fields i can able to generate test report which contains Verification engineer name , test mode, test date, start time, end time Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.etc....
    To put all values of test case number, Test step number, Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status in to table for each time, i will
    insert a row into table every time values arrives, once the table exceedes its page size it moves to the next page, next page should start with table row header  but it start with  values of above said parameters.
    so i'm not able to repeat table row header for each page.
    Please find the attached file for your reference.
    Attched file expected.doc  :   This file contains what i wanted to generate MS-word report. Here table row header "Test Case Number and Test Step Number " is repeated in second page.
    Attached file Actual output from source code.doc   :  This report generated from the source code. Here table row header "Test Case Number and Test Step Number" is not repeated in second page.
    Do you know any property to set "repeat as header row at the top of each page" using MS-word ActiveX in CVI/Labwindows.
    i think this information is sufficient for you,
    Still if you need some information please ask me.
    Thanks
    Susa.

  • Slow split table export (R3load and WHERE clause)

    For our split table exports, we used custom coded WHERE clauses. (Basically adding additional columns to the R3ta default column to take advantage of existing indexes).
    The results have been good so far. Full tablescans have been eliminated and export times have gone down, in some cases, tables export times have improved by 50%.
    However, our biggest table, CE1OC01 (120 GB), continues to be a bottleneck. Initially, after using the new WHERE clause, it looked like performance gains were dramatic, with export times for the first 5 packages dropping from 25-30 hours down to 1 1/2 hours.
    However, after 2 hours, the remaining CE1OC01 split packages have shown no improvement. This is very odd because we are trying to determine why part of the table exports very fast, but other parts are running very slow.
    Before the custom WHERE clauses, the export server had run into issues with SORTHEAP being exhausted, so we thought that might be the culprit. But that does not seem to be an issue now, since the improved WHERE clauses have reduced or eliminated excessive sorting.
    I checked the access path of all the CE1OC01 packages, through EXPLAIN, and they all access the same index to return results. The execution time in EXPLAIN returns similar times for each of the packages:
    CE1OC01-11: select * from CE1OC01  WHERE MANDT='212'
    AND ("BELNR" > '0124727994') AND ("BELNR" <= '0131810250')
    CE1OC01-19: select * from CE1OC01 WHERE MANDT='212'
    AND ("BELNR" > '0181387534') AND ("BELNR" <= '0188469413')
          0 SELECT STATEMENT ( Estimated Costs =  8.448E+06 [timerons] )
      |
      ---      1 RETURN
          |
          ---      2 FETCH CE1OC01
              |
              ------   3 IXSCAN CE1OC01~4 #key columns:  2
    query execution time [millisec]            |       333
    uow elapsed time [microsec]                |   429,907
    total user CPU time [microsec]             |         0
    total system cpu time [microsec]           |         0
    Both queries utilize an index that has fields MANDT and BELNR. However, during R3load, CE1OC01-19 finishes in an hour and a half, whereas CE1OC01-11 can take 25-30 hours.
    I am wondering if there is anything else to check on the DB2 access path side of things or if I need to start digging deeper into other aggregate load/infrastructure issues. Other tables don't seem to exhibit this behavior. There is some discrepancy between other tables' run times (for example, 2-4 hours), but those are not as dramatic as this particular table.
    Another idea to test is to try and export only 5 parts of the table at a time, perhaps there is a throughput or logical limitation when all 20 of the exports are running at the same time. Or create a single column index on BELNR (default R3ta column) and see if that shows any improvement.
    Anyone have any ideas on why some of the table moves fast but the rest of it moves slow?
    We also notice that the "fast" parts of the table are at the very end of the table. We are wondering if perhaps the index is less fragmented in that range, a REORG or recreation of the index may do this table some good. We were hoping to squeeze as many improvements out of our export process as possible before running a full REORG on the database. This particular index (there are 5 indexes on this table) has a Cluster Ratio of 54%, so, perhaps for purposes of the export, it may make sense to REORG the table and cluster it around this particular index. By contrast, the primary key index has a Cluster Ratio of 86%.
    Here is the output from our current run. The "slow" parts of the table have not completed, but they average a throughput of 0.18 MB/min, versus the "fast" parts, which average 5 MB/min, a pretty dramatic difference.

    Hi all, thanks for the quick and extremely helpful answers.
    Beck,
    Thanks for the health check. We are exporting the entire table in parallel, so all the exports begin at the same time. Regarding the SORTHEAP, we initially thought that might be our problem, because we were running out of SORTHEAP on the source database server. Looks like for this run, and the previous run, SORTHEAP has remained available and has not overrun. That's what was so confusing, because this looked like a buffer overrun.
    Ralph,
    The WHERE technique you provided worked perfectly. Our export times have improved dramatically by switching to the forced full tablescan. Being always trained to eliminate full tablescans, it seems counterintuitive at first, but, given the nature of the export query, combined with the unsorted export, it now makes total sense why the tablescan works so much better.
    Looks like you were right, in this case, the index adds too much additional overhead, and especially since our Cluster Ratio was terrible (in the 50% range), so the index was definitely working against us, by bouncing all over the place to pull the data out.
    We're going to look at some of our other long running tables and see if this technique improves runtimes on them as well.
    Thanks so much, that helped us out tremendously. We will verify the data from source to target matches up 1 for 1 by running a consistency check.
    Look at the throughput difference between the previous run and the current run:

  • How to use dynamic query for Result table

    Hello Experts,
    I want to use dynamic query and then display the result in the assignment block.
    Using dynamic query BTQAct and BTQRAct and base on some search criteria i want tofilter and then append the result in the result table of that custom context node, and then it should display the result in the view in UI.
    SO can you please provide me the samplle code on how to use the dynamic query and append in the result table.
    Regards.

    Hi,
    Please find below sample code:
    data:  query         TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_dquery_service,
               result        TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_col.
    DATA: lt_params       TYPE crmt_name_value_pair_tab,
               lwa_params      TYPE crmt_name_value_pair.
    query = cl_crm_bol_dquery_service=>get_instance( 'BTQAct' ). " Get instance of dynamic query
    Set general query parameter for maximum number of hits
          lwa_params-name = 'MAX_HITS' .
          lwa_params-value = '50'.
          APPEND lwa_params TO lt_params.
          query->set_query_parameters( it_parameters = lt_params ).
          query->add_selection_param( iv_attr_name = 'OBJECT_ID'
                                                    iv_sign      = 'I'

  • Row locking issue with version enabled tables

    I've been testing the effect of locking in version enabled tables in order to assess workspace manager restrictions when updating records in different workspaces and I have encountered a locking problem where I can't seem to update different records of the same table in different sessions if these same records have been previously updated & committed in another workspace.
    I'm running the tests on 11.2.0.3.  I have ROW_LEVEL_LOCKING set to ON.
    Here's a simple test case (I have many other test cases which fail as well but understanding why this one causes a locking problem will help me understand the results from my other test cases):
    --Change tablespace names as required
    create table t1 (id varchar2(36) not null, name varchar2(50) not null) tablespace XXX;
    alter table t1 add constraint t1_pk primary key (id) using index tablespace XXX;
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    insert into t1 values ('1', 'name1');
    insert into t1 values ('2', 'name2');
    insert into t1 values ('3', 'name3');
    commit;
    exec dbms_wm.enableversioning('t1');
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    exec dbms_wm.createworkspace('TESTWSM1');
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('TESTWSM1');
    --update 2 records in a non-LIVE workspace in preparation for updating in different workspaces later
    update t1 set name = name||'changed' where id in ('1', '2');
    commit;
    quit;
    --Now in a separate session (called session 1 for this example) run the following without committing the changes:
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    update t1 set name = 'changed' where id = '1';
    --Now in another session (session 2) update a different record from the same table.  The below update will hang waiting on the transaction in session 1 to complete (via commit/rollback):
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    update t1 set name = 'changed' where id = '2';
    I'm surprised records of different ids can't be updated in different sessions i.e. why does session 1 lock the update of record 2 which is not being updated anywhere else.  I've tried this using different non-LIVE workspaces with similar results.  I've tried changing table properties e.g. initrans with and still get a lock.  The changes to table properties are successfully propagated to the _LT tables but not all the related workspace manager tables created for table T1 above.  I'm not sure if this is the issue.
    Note an example of the background workspace manager query that may create the lock is something like:
    UPDATE TESTWSM.T1_LT SET LTLOCK = WMSYS.LT_CTX_PKG.CHECKNGETLOCK(:B6 , LTLOCK, NEXTVER, :B3 , 0,'UPDATE', VERSION, DELSTATUS, :B5 ), NEXTVER = WMSYS.LT_CTX_PKG.GETNEXTVER(NEXTVER,:B4 ,VERSION,:B3 ,:B2 ,683) WHERE ROWID = :B1
    Any help with this will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ben,
    Thanks for your quick response.
    I've tested your suggestion and it does work with 2 workspaces but the same problem is enountered when additional workspaces are created.
    It seems if multiple workspaces are used in a multi user environment, locks will be inevitable which will degrade performance especially if a long transaction is used.
    Deadlocks can also be encountered where eventually one of the sessions is rolled back by the database.
    Is there a way of avoiding this e.g. by controlling the creation of workspaces and table updates?
    I've updated my test case below to demonstrate the extra workspace locking issue.
    --change tablespace name as required
    create table t1 (id varchar2(36) not null, name varchar2(50) not null) tablespace XXX;
    alter table t1 add constraint t1_pk primary key (id) using index tablespace XXX;
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    insert into t1 values ('1', 'name1');
    insert into t1 values ('2', 'name2');
    insert into t1 values ('3', 'name3');
    commit;
    exec dbms_wm.enableversioning('t1');
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    exec dbms_wm.createworkspace('TESTWSM1');
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('TESTWSM1');
    update t1 set name = name||'changed' where id in ('1', '2');
    commit;
    Session 1:
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    update t1 set name = 'changed' where id = '1';
    session 2:
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    update t1 set name = 'changed' where id = '2';
    --end of original test case, start of additional workspace locking issue:
    Session 1:
    rollback;
    Session 2:
    rollback;
    --update record in both workspaces
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('LIVE');
    update t1 set name = 'changed' where id = '3';
    commit;
    exec dbms_wm.gotoworkspace('TESTWSM1');

    hi
    read the VO using RowSetIterator
    OAViewObject reqLinesVO = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("VO");
    if(reqLinesVO!=null)
    int fetchedRowCount = reqLinesVO.getFetchedRowCount();
    RowSetIterator reqLinesIter = reqLinesVO.createRowSetIterator("reqLinesIter");
    if (fetchedRowCount > 0)
    reqLinesIter.setRangeStart(0);
    reqLinesIter.setRangeSize(fetchedRowCount);
    for (int i = 0; i < fetchedRowCount; i++)
    OARow row = (OARow)reqLinesIter.getRowAtRangeIndex(i);

  • URL in the result table

    Hi
    I need to add a URL to the result table. My SQL is getting the complete URL.
    I'm getting the URL as workFlowUrl in the underlying query.
    I tried two ways
    i) If I add a link item then the whole link is being shown instead of propt text. Prompt text is shown only as the column header.
    ii) If I added Image item and if I make destination URI attribute to {@workFlowUrl} then the
    the select image is being shown but the link is being added as http://servername:port/<<workFlowUrl -- with encoded characters>>
    because of which the link is broken.
    Can some body help me how can we achiev the above.
    All I'm trying to do is I'm trying to take the user to the OA Framwork based work status monitor page with the help of URL generated by the procedure WF_MONITOR.GetEnvelopeURL('DUMMY','WFSPLPRC', p_item_key,'NO').
    So, the final URL is being presented as:
    http://server:8989/OA_HTML/http%3A%2F%2Fserver%3A8015%2Fpls%2Foapdev%2Fwf_monitor.buildMonitorUrl%3FakRegionCode%3DWF_G_MONITOR_RESPONSES_PAGE%26wa%3D%257B%2129CD6E4ACB2D5102F2A24C771BB8473A%26wm%3D%257B%21DBF7F8390B39B6B5%26itemType%3D%257B%215559198122C72D5AA4DC6050FED4AC45%26itemKey%3D%257B%218AB087B80198EEA3
    I don't need leading http://server:8989/OA_HTML
    Thanks

    Hi
    I fixed the issue on my own. I made the item as formatted text and getting the workflow link with VO query as below:
    select b.batch_id,
         b.modifier_list_name,
         b.currency, b.price_list,
         b.price_list_name,

         u.user_name requestor_user_name,
         p.person_id,
         nvl(p.full_name, u.user_name) full_name,
         p.email_address,
         b.spa_status,
          decode(item_key, null, 'Workflow not started', 'Workflow Status' workflow_url

  • Doubts about result table in endeca 3.1

    Hi All,
    I created the result table in Endeca 2.4 by using the checkbox for Use EQL query and entered the query but I cannot see the option of entering the eql in endeca 3.1.Has something changed or I have missed something?
    and In order to enable drill down  in endeca 2.4 I added an action column to pick the event ID available on a particular row. Clicked on Add Action Column button under Configuration tab and added teh action but cannot see samething in endeca 3.1.
    Can some one please let me know how can above things be achieved in endeca 3.1
    Thanks in Advance.

    In 3.1 for Results Table, you do not enter EQL. Instead, you set the table type to Analytics table, then add the metrics and dimensions. For simple metrics, you just add the attribute and select the aggregation method. For more complex metrics, you would need to add the metric as a predefined metric in the view. You could then add that metric to the table.
    Here's a link to the section of the Studio User's Guide that talks about configuring a Results Table:
    Configuring a Results Table
    And here's a link to general information about adding data to components in 3.1:
    Selecting and configuring the data displayed on a component
