Locking pages in Muse

I am passing on my work to someone to maintain. But I only one them to be able to touch certain pages. Is this possible?

Once you set a Pages document password, you will need it again to unlock the document. There is no other available unlocking technique, as many before you have discovered. Tell your mind to recall your document password, and then stop trying to remember it. Let your subconscious retrieve it.
In the future, keep a secure, analog list of your passwords as backup.

Placing a pdf on a page in Muse.

Hello,
Is there any way to place a pdf on a page in Muse so that it is plainly viewable on that page?
I have tried converting it to an image such as a png but the quality goes down and it's not suitable.
I know how to add a pdf with a link for downloading, but that's not what I'm looking for in this case.

Unfortunately, PDF is not a web file. It's media. It requires end users to have apps and browser plug-ins installed at their end to view it. If they don't have the necessary apps or their system settings are configured to only open PDFs in Acrobat, they won't see the file in their browser -- no matter what you do. IOW, there are too many variables which you cannot control.
The best you can do is provide a link to the file and let people handle PDF as they see fit. As a courtesy, post a small thumbnail image to give users some idea of what the PDF contains along with the file size so folks can make an informed decision about whether or not to download the file.

I'm getting this error, although I have assigned all the needed privilegs to root and I am logged in as root. I have done everything described in the guidelines to get the privilegs, but still this warning occurs.
But my application still works completely with no appreciable differences.
So my question is: Does this warning affect the performance of my application?? Or can I live with this warning?

Determinism is an important issue in my application. That's why page locking should be active in my application. When I'm determining the ScopedMemory size via VM like:
... -XX:ScopedSize=500000000 ...Then page locking works with a size of 500 mb very well. But when I try to set the ScopedSize value to 1 gb, then the exception (unable to lock page...) is thrown. So it seems as if I had all the required rights, but the huge size is not supported.
The System has about 6 gb of DDR2Ram and minimum 5 gb are free during starting the VM. So are there any other parameters except ScopedSize that I can change, to allow the VM to lock memory with a size of about 1 gb? Or where is the problem with locking such big sizes?

Slideshow moves on page in Muse after file saved, published, and Muse reopened - revised post

I published my pages and when I reopened Muse one of the slideshows was gone! It's still on the website but not on the page in Muse. I closed the page and reopened it later and it was on the bottom right of the page. Where did it go? When I reopened another page, the slideshow had moved to the bottom of the page and when I move both slightly they pop back into place with the slight amount of movement I gave them to pop it back in. How can I stop this?

Password Protect a Page in Muse

I want to password protect a page in Muse and have set up a secure zone in BC. I can't seem to find where you can set the user name and password. Can you only do it using a registration form where the user picks a username and password? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I found where I could set the username and password and sent it to the contact's email address. The username was sent correctly but the password BC sent was this ??

I'm assuming that because this is one of the free sites it's not going to work and that's why I was sent this long string. However when you click on the string it's a Password Reset screen. I thought I might be able to test it to see if it truely does work with Muse.

Assuming the screenshots are of the same page, the one that's taller is either taller because the minimum page height has been changed or due to some page content (that's not marked as a Footer Item) being located in the new space. This may be an empty text frame or the transparent area of a widget, text frame or other object.

Hi, yeah i get a box saying something about "edge animate will close now, please report the last steps to the support"..
I have a menu item. with some subpages. Its placed in a master page, that the other pages are based on.. I try to scale it down, and the application shows the error box, and exits. (after i click ok, i believe it was)
Im running Mac osx 10.9.5, latest muse build.

Je n'ai trouvé aucune trace dans la doc, les livres ou les tutoriels du moindre avertissement concernant le poids des pages en kilo-octets à ne pas dépasser.
Dans un tutoriel de Franck Payen, on décrit même une très longue page avec plusieurs images , du texte, des widgets sans préciser s'il y a des limites sur le nombre d'éléments et le poids de chacun pour rester dans des temps de chargement raisonnables de la page sur le web.
J'ai bien vu que Muse optimisait automatiquement le poids des images au moment de l'export en html, je devine que lors d'une longue page seules les partie visibles à l'écran sont chargées sur le web, mais est ce suffisant ?
Ce qui me gène c'est de ne disposer d'aucun moyen de mesure, d'aucun indicateur permettant de juger si le contenu d'un page dépasse des limites raisonnables.
Qu'en pense Franck Payen si par hasard il lit cette question ?
Peut on lourdement charger un page et Muse est tellement magique qu'il est capable de tout optimiser au moment de l'export en html ?

Je crains simplement que depuis le début on ne se soit pas compris. Dans ma question initiale, je posais une question générale concernant la philosophie d'utilisation de Muse pour ne pas ralentir le chargement des pages.
C'est un nouvel outil et je voulais deviner les problèmes en phase opérationnelle.
Je pratique Muse en expérimental, de temps à autre, depuis plus d'un an et les derniers développements (décrits dans les tutoriels de Frank Payen) m'ont donné envie de d'avancer dans un projet risqué.
J'ai développé un site de plus de 6000 pages qui est opérationnel, et je continue à le faire grandir. Je suis un peu las de jongler avec la technicité du HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash… et des efforts à faire pour avoir un graphisme attractif.
Muse me paraît capable d'être l'outil pour développer facilement des modules multimédias de bonne facture graphique mais j'ai trois obstacles à surmonter :
- Je dois intégrer les pages. HTML de ces modules, exportées de Muse, dans le site existant (6000 pages). Pour cela j'utilise Dreamweaver.
- Je dois pouvoir modifier les modules dans Muse et les réintégrer facilement à la place de ceux existants dans le site. Cela fonctionne.
- Je dois m'assurer de la robustesse de Muse dans le cas de modules assez complexes (20 à 30 pages chaque fois) et ceci au milieu d'un énorme site.
Je sens très bien que Muse n'a pas été prévu pour cela au départ et que je peux me planter mais ce que j'ai pu faire jusqu'à présent est très encourageant.
J'ai donc besoin de conseils de gens qui connaissent très bien Muse et peuvent me mettre en garde, de façon générale, sur des erreurs à ne pas faire avant que cela ne soit trop tard.
Il n'existe pas, en français, de doc structurée ni de manuel détaillé sur l'utilisation de Muse et je ne dispose que des tutoriels pour aller un peu plus loin. Je me sens donc un peu seul.
Je dois avouer que l'alternative d'aller sur des sites anglais me rebute un peu… Même si je pense que la réponse se trouve là.

Locking pages on Acrobat Professional

Have just started using Acrobat Professional and was
wondering how you lock pages so that you can only navigate around
the document using the links. At the moment when you just click
anywhere on the page it takes you to the next page and i want to
stop this happening. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Link to a new page in Muse using Adobe Animate oam file

I created a small animation in Adobe Animate and placed an .oam file in Muse. Now I want user to click on the animation and link to another page on the same site. A very simple task you might think. But to my surprise there is no hyperlink window available when I select the Adobe Animation element on the page. For text and images I have the hyperlink window available but not for Adobe Animate oam files. I think you need to add this feauture in the next release.

I also want to know it how to do that?

How do I add a drop shadow to the page in Muse?

How can I apply a drop shadow to the page template in Muse? If I place a rectangle it will not change shape according to the page size. Is this a feature?
