Locking secondary display for slideshow.  Auto Export after tethered shooting?

I use LR 3.5 when I shoot tethered.  It seems the upgrade to 3.5 helped with the inconsistent connection problem on my D3. I still get dropped but not as often.
Thanks for working on that.
I've been using LR for a photo booth arrangement.  I add logos using watermarks. As I shoot;  the images display on my projector.
I am trying out the secondary display feature using my TV.  Seems to be working but I want to lock the secondary screen onto Lightroom.
When I go to another application the secondary screen goes away and I get a standard apple screen shot.  Is there a way to lock it so I can use another application on my Macbook Pro?
I need to use a Polaroid GL10 printer for an event and have to use Polaroid's software.  There is no print driver yet for this.
So I have to export images from LR3. Then import and print using Polaroid's software
I would love to see LR have an auto export function.  So I can capture tethered, process images, and export images into a folder while I'm shooting.
I don't think this exists?  Are there any plugins that you can recommend for this.
Thank you.

Is there any app for phone auto start after swithced off??

Are you looking for an app which will startup the Z10 at a specified time?
I don't know of one. I have a feeling once OS 10.2 is available you'll see apps such as this.

  • How can I use my rMBP as a secondary display for my iMac using thunderbolt?

Based on this thread, it's not possible: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19207767
But, I'm stubborn and refuse to believe that. Maybe they've released a software update (e.g., in Mountain Lion) that has since made this possible? Maybe there is an app that allows for this?
Note that I don't want a solution that involves network hacks... this is at work, and I'd rather not slow down the network for others. And I'm not interested in the reverse setup (i.e., using my iMac as a secondary display for my rMBP).
    iMac: 27-inch, Late 2012. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB. OS X 10.8.4.
    rMBP: Retina, Mid 2012 (15" I think). NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB. OS X 10.8.4.

It's not possible. You can use the iMac as a display for the MBP,  but the reverse is not possible. The MBP does not have Target Display Mode as a feature and no third-party app nor hack can enable something that doesn't exist. The only way to accomplish this will be one of the network solutions.
    Regards.

  • Using a 20" iMac as secondary display for another iMac.

I have an older Intel 20" iMac that I'd like to use as a secondary display for a newer 20" iMac. Is that possible?
In my dreamworld, I'd still be able to use the old iMac as a second machine somehow. Ideally I'd be able to leave it running and switch over to it somehow. Am I dreaming or is this somehow possible?

My son no longer uses his old "snowball" iMac (2003) and I may try this as it would a nice (17") second screen.

  • What is the best secondary display for my mbp 2015 13"

I am searching for a cheaper solution than the thunderbolt display for my new MBP 2015 13".  I would like to get a display that is not difficult to calibrate and works seamlessly with mac products.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hugh. I did some reserch for the price.  I just get a AOC I2769VM and for 229,99 in amazon was the best option for the money that i have at the moment.  The monitor is big. i love it. color are excellent for the price. you can use the HDMI or use the mini display port  to display port cable.  I did connect my external speaker to the back and presto. Note: these monitor have a sticker that made the screen mate. do not peel that off.
I add my apple tv on the other HDMI and i can watch it. IPS 1080P 1920x1080 etc etc. If money is a limitation these is the best for buck

Is it possible to add a second tools palette to my workspace for use in a secondary monitor to avoid having to go from one monitor to the ther to change tools. I know about the shortcuts but would still like a second tools palette.

  • 2G Nano Windows XP locked icon displayed for hold button

My iPod displays the lock icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen even though my lock button is not slid over to "Lock" Activating and deactivating the lock key does not unlock, I have attempted to reset by pressing the menu and play (and the menu and select) keys, I have Restored my iPod and it says it is updated but the thing is still locked! Please help.

No, it doesn't unlock... and reset and restore don't work either. sighs This is such a shame, I thought this thing was awesome, and I can't think what I've done that it would do this. now I have to be separated from it? sniffles lol Darn.

  • Type display for slideshow and subscribe

Visual concern only, but how do you change the clunky bold helvetica style of the >play slideshow and >subscribe links, and photo captions when viewed in iWeb? I want to make them more subtle, less bold. I can do it in iPhoto, but doesn't seem to translate to iWeb.

no, not visually in iweb but can be changed when the page is online with javascript and understanding of photos page widgets: http://temp.cyclosaurus.com/CSSChanged/Photos.html

  • Can you auto resize when tethered shooting?

Is it possible to have lightoom automatically resize an image when you are tethered capturing?

    I assume you mean crop.
I don't think it's possible, natively. Why not? because presets don't support saving/applying crop coordinates.
Moreover, I don't think there are any plugin-assisted solutions either, probably because plugins can't crop photos either, at least not without a lot of "contortion".
If somebody were ambitious, they could merge the guts of XmpCrop, with OttomanicImporter, to do such contortion, but that somebody would probably be me, and I have no plans to do such a thing at this time.
    Cheers,
    Rob

  • Aperture crashes after tethered shooting...help

When I use Aperture 3.1 on 27" iMac with 4 GB memory, and I have  shot a burst of 3-5 images on my tethered 5D, I experience the spinning beach ball, and
totally unresponsive Aperture, have to force quit or it eventually quits on its own.
    Any ideas?

If your signature is correct, and you're not abbreviating which version of Aperture you're using, I would do Software Updates first to get to 10.6.7 and Aperture 3.1.2. See if that helps.

  • Secondary display does not work with Windows...

Ive been using a samsung syncmaster 920nw as my secondary display for the past few months. It works fine while running OS but when I switch over to Windows XP the display goes blank after startup. I have installed the proper drive and updated it whenever possible, but with no effect. I have tried to follow the troubleshooting prompts and pretty much everything else I could think of. Im out of ideas. I didnt buy the monitor to sit on my desk and take up space... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still no luck... Has anyone else experienced this problem while running Windows through bootcamp? Is it possible there's a compatibility issue with XP vs. Vista? The display is new and bears the mark "Works with Windows Vista". Could that mean it wont work with XP? I obviously don't use Windows that often, but seeing as I purchased the monitor as a secondary display, it would be nice to be able to put it to use in Windows too. Thanks anybody...

When i open camera when my iPhone is locked, camera displays for 2 seconds and then my screen will be black.

Hi there, I haven't actually heard of this issue but I would advise restoring your iPhone which should fix that. Follow this article below and follow the steps.

  • Using a scrapped iMac as a Secondary Display

OK, my iMac's busted and I want the hard drive to use as an ext hard drive for my MBP. I have no idea how to do this or even if it is possible.
Also, if there is a way of doing this and being able to use the screen as a secondary display for my MBP, that would be great.
The computer doesn't turn on most of the time, and if it does it turns off before I even have a chance to steal a file over airport. I need some files from that hard drive and would love to use it as a display.

Remove the hard drive if possible(instructions are available here and here as PDFs for some iMac G5 models), and put it in an enclosure. You cannot use a nonfunctional Mac as a display for another computer.

    Hello edolillo,
It sounds like you are wanting to use your iMac as a secondary display for your MacBook Pro using a Thunderbolt cable. If your iMac is compatible, you may be able to use Target Display Mode, and this article outlines the requirements for it:
