Log of events thrown

Does anyone know of a table, or log that will display which events have been thrown by the system?
I have a problem whereby Process Chains fail to progress at AND variants even though all the predecessor variants have completed successfully.
I believe either the events are being thrown by another program/chain or the variant is simply not being thrown when the variant completes.
It would be nice to be able to see what and when these events are being thrown.
Any help very much appreciated.
Ross.

Hi Ross,
I am afraid I understood your question properly. But you can try to use SAP work flow event trace facility. Transactions SWEL, SWELS. Path is SAP Easy Access->Business Workflwo ->Development->Utilitites->Events->Event Trace.

    Hi Siva,
    We could execute the command below to view Administrator Audit Logging settings:
    Get-AdminAuditLogConfig
    If it is not enabled, please run the command below:
    Set-AdminAuditLogConfig -AdminAuditLogEnabled $True

  • Logging of events

    I would like to create a file that will log certain events.
    How should I create this file without overwriting this?
    If I use FileOutputStream,then the file passed to this constructor will overwrite the existing file.?
    Is there any way for me to create a log file once and keep appending events to the log file?
    An early answer is appreciated.
    Ajay Luthria

    Do I understand you correct?
    You want to open a file and write to it as a log?
    Start with rotate the file (toDaysDate.log) at startup, create a new file and send all logevents to that class. The stream should just append a line at a time.
    there is a lot you can do, like tracelevel for different levels of severity and so on. ( different logs for different severitys).
    Most common i guess is to write System.out and System.err to two different files.
    Hope I could help you.

  • Logging Sensor Events without Sensor Diagnostic Tool

    Hello,
    I am currently working on develpment of Sensor Driver (Accelerometer)- UMDF Driver on windows 7.
    As per documentation when we use Sensor API, the sensor Events can be captured and logged into CSV or xml through sensordiagnostictool.exe
    Is there a way I can log Sensor Events by writing an external Application?
    If yes, Please suggest me the thread to start with.
    Thanks!

    If  LOGGING_SYNC  is deactivated in IE Configuration, then you cannot see th req. and resp. message in MONI.
    Synch. messages are not persistence by default. To acheive it, we need to set the logging.

    I've tried copying the default.tmx from the Tracing folder to the Debbing folder, as suggested in other posts, but have the same results.
    Interestingly, I can stop the agent service, and run the old OCSLogger Logging Tool program and can produce valid log files.

  • MDM Log / EPCF Eventing in Result and Item Details Iview

    Hi,
    I have EP7 with SP15 and MDM 6.0, recently upgraded. Before upgrade we have an application which uses the MDM iviews and maps the fields of one table to other and displays in some other iview.
    The application was working fine before upgrade of MDM. But after upgrade, the mapping seems not working.
    My scenario is as : Using MDM Search iview, I search records from MDM repository, Main Table. This result is displayed in MDM Result iview. From this result iview, I select a record. From this selected record, a field is mapped to the other table. The mapped record, then, is displayed in MDM Details Iview.
    After MDM upgrade, whenever we select a record from the result of table 1,the mapped iview throws erros :
    Error occurred: Error performing search. com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter, com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter (see log for details)
    when serached log : Key is not found in table:<Table1>-KeyMappings it may have been deleted or renamed, please use editor to fix the problem##
    We have used EPCF eventing for MDM iviews.
    I have written some code to check the values passed from Result Iview and seen that the values are being passed correctly...Now think, i should also have a check in MDM how the values are recieved and mapped...
    Any idea how I can use MDM log service to do this? Or any idea how I can enable MDM log to monitor what comes in and what goes out?
    has anyone out there faced same issue ?
    Please let me know your views.
    Regards,
    Abhijeet

    Solved at my own. The MDM SP6 needs the subtable key field to be TEXT type.

  • Java Logging, problem recreating Thrown record from XML

    Ok, so I've got all these log files that are using the default java.util.logging.XMLFormatter so all the output is in XML. I'm writing a parser that reads the XML file and recreates LogRecord objects for each of the record entries. Everything works great until I come up to a logged exception. The entire stack trace information is stored in the XML file, but there doesnt seem to be any way to create new StackTraceElement objects. I can create a new Exception object and give it a message, and I could even set the stack trace if I could just generate some StackTraceElement objects. There are no public constructors for StackTraceElement and the class is final so I can't simply subclass it with my own. Basically I would like to be able to recreate the thrown Object so I can call record.setThrown(thrown); but so far it doesn't look like that is possible.
    I guess the other way to go is to just make my own data objects to represent the log record and the thrown exception, but I would really like to avoid that and just use the classes already available. Has anyone ever tried this before? I can't have been the only one.

    I'd like to recreate a LogRecord object simply because that is what is used to create the XML file and I guess I'm just trying to be consistent :)
    Here is the overall process:
    1. User selects which XML file to open
    2. Parse the log file generating LogRecord objects for each entry.
    3. Display a JTable to the user with rows for each LogRecord, columns for Logging Level, time, message etc.
    4. If the user double clicks on a row, open a dialog with more detailed info about the LogRecord, including a stack trace if it was included.
    Now see, I want to just be able to grab the Throwable object off the LogRecord in step 4 and call getStackTrace() to get an array of StackTraceElements so I can print those into a JTextArea to display to the user. However, if I gotta be able to set the damn stack trace elements of the Throwable object first. :(

  • Exception logged but not thrown on invocation of webservice (BEA-000905)

    Using webservices.jar that comes with Weblogic SP3 and ant task clientgen to build the client, I got this warning on console:
    <14/Abr/2005 16H00m BST> <Warning> <Net> <BEA-000905> <Could not open connection with host: localhost and port: 7777.>
    Of course, weblogic is right, localhost:7777 is not listening, but the problem is that the application does not know this, since no exception is thrown. I'm catching for a Throwable and I get nothing. This is severe because I'm changing the state of some records in a DB table if the invocation of the webservice is OK, i.e., if no exception is thrown. But there really is a connection exception...
    Can anyone help?

    Just to clarify: the warning is logged when invoking a webservice and the target machine is down. I'm sniffing the communication through localhost:7777 (so this is the target machine for the invocation), and then it redirects the request to the machine where the webservice is hosted.
    I was expecting to catch an exception like IOException or RemoteException, or even a custom exception that I defined in the throws clause of the webservice method.

  • Event log for events from function module BP_EVENT_RAISE

    Hello experts,
    where can I look at the event log which where raised with the
    function modul BP_EVENT_RAISE.
    Thanks.
    Regards, Lars.

    this function module does not write a log by itself. and actually i would not know what should be in that log. usually you set up an event to trigger a follow-up process, so there's either the event was successfully triggered and your follow-up process has been started ... or it hasn't, which means: something went wrong ...

  • Redo log wait event

    Hi,
    in my top evens i've:
    Top 5 Timed Events Avg %Total
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ wait Call
    Event Waits Time (s) (ms) Time Wait Class
    CPU time 1,894 36.1
    log file sync 36,862 1,008 27 19.2 Commit
    Log file are on a separate disks, with no activity, only 1 redo per group, and 4 groups.
    I think that 27ms for log file synch is high.
    I raised commits in sqlloader putting rows=100000 instead 30000 but it's always high.
    Which check i can perform?
    I'm on AIX 5.3 and database in 10.2.0.4.4
    Log File Sync
    The “log file sync” wait event is triggered when a user session issues a commit (or a rollback). The user session will signal or post the LGWR to write the log buffer to the redo log file. When the LGWR has finished writing, it will post the user session. The wait is entirely dependent on LGWR to write out the necessary redo blocks and send confirmation of its completion back to the user session. The wait time includes the writing of the log buffer and the post, and is sometimes called “commit latency”.
    The P1 parameter in <View:V$SESSION_WAIT> is defined as follows for this wait event:
    P1 = buffer#
    All changes up to this buffer number (in the log buffer) must be flushed to disk and the writes confirmed to ensure that the transaction is committed and will be kept on an instance crash. The wait is for LGWR to flush up to this buffer#.
    Reducing Waits / Wait times:
    If a SQL statement is encountering a significant amount of total time for this event, the average wait time should be examined. If the average wait time is low, but the number of waits is high, then the application might be committing after every row, rather than batching COMMITs. Applications can reduce this wait by committing after “n” rows so there are fewer distinct COMMIT operations. Each commit has to be confirmed to make sure the relevant REDO is on disk. Although commits can be "piggybacked" by Oracle, reducing the overall number of commits by batching transactions can be very beneficial.
    If the SQL statement is a SELECT statement, review the Oracle Auditing settings. If Auditing is enabled for SELECT statements, Oracle could be spending time writing and commit data to the AUDIT$ table.
    If the average time waited is high, then examine the other log related waits for the session, to see where the session is spending most of its time. If a session continues to wait on the same
    If the average time waited is high, then examine the other log related waits for the session, to see where the session is spending most of its time. If a session continues to wait on the same buffer# then the SEQ# column of V$SESSION_WAIT should increment every second. If not then the local session has a problem with wait event timeouts. If the SEQ# column is incrementing then the blocking process is the LGWR process. Check to see what LGWR is waiting on as it may be stuck. If the waits are because of slow I/O, then try the following:
    Reduce other I/O activity on the disks containing the redo logs, or use dedicated disks.
    Try to reduce resource contention. Check the number of transactions (commits + rollbacks) each second, from V$SYSSTAT.
    Alternate redo logs on different disks to minimize the effect of the archiver on the log writer.
    Move the redo logs to faster disks or a faster I/O subsystem (for example, switch from RAID 5 to RAID 1).
    Consider using raw devices (or simulated raw devices provided by disk vendors) to speed up the writes.
    See if any activity can safely be done with NOLOGGING / UNRECOVERABLE options in order to reduce the amount of redo being written.
    See if any of the processing can use the COMMIT NOWAIT option (be sure to understand the semantics of this before using it).
    Check the size of the log buffer as it may be so large that LGWR is writing too many blocks at one time.
