Logic to update the table with IDOC numbers

Hi all,
I have an issue while I am running my interface. The IDOCs are getting generated and are displaying in WE02 successfully. But in my logic, I have a requirement to update these created IDOCs in a customized database table. This table has the IDOC number as the first key field.
Now the issue is that when a file is placed on the FTP server with the data, the IDOCs get generated with no doubt but the table is not getting updated with these IDOC numbers due to which my other data is also not seen in my table.
Please help with the logic that I need to place to update these IDOC numbers in my table.

Also, this is happening when the file is placed. But when i run it manually through WE19 one by one, it has no problem. When it collectively run thorugh the file in background, this issue is ocuuring. Please help.

In PAI, read the screen value into a variable.
say l_matnr = INPUT_MATNR.

How to update the table when change list item in classic report

i worked with apex 4.2 and i create normal classic report with one select list(named loved)Column ,now i want to update table when user change the list with new value ,i can't create dynamic action to do this,i create check box with primary key and loop for check item to update the table but i can't get the value of list item. and for more speed the user want to do this when change the list value.
my question
1- how to do this by javascript and get the value from list item and update the table with new value
2- is i must use API to create list item so i can get the value of item in report or what.

I coded the following to give you direction:
1. In the "Element Attributes" section of the DEPTNO column, I call a javascript function as:

Doing new JTable doesn't "update" the table on the screen

I am writing a program in java/swing which has several "layers" of panels. In the constructor method of the frame (using JInternalFrame) I create a new instance of JTable, place it inside JScrollPane which is then inside JSplitPane and then place that as the frame content pane.
In this program I run an sql command and the table is the result from that. Every time I execute a query it should update the table with the new results.
What is bothering me now is that when I execute a query I call new JTable() on the variable that held the JTable() object created on startup. When I create a new instance of JTable() and place it in this variable nothing seems to happen. What I need is some kind of "refresh" button. I tried to construct the whole window again but then the program started behaving odd so I gave up that method.
So, does anyone know how to do this?

You really need to use a table model. The table you created is great and once that is in you shouldn't mess with it. Instead, when you create the table be sure to create it sort of like this:
DefaultTableMode dtm = new DefaultTableModel(<various constrcutors use the one suited for you>);
JTable table = new JTable(dtm);
To set different data on the table set it in the table model and then refresh the table, also through the table model. This works perfectly every time.

Progammatic update a table with a database view in the page

Hi All,
I am using JDev 11g. With FOD database schema, I have one database view Products which comes from two tables Products_Base and Product_Transactions. I created three EOs (ProductEO, ProductsBaseEO, ProductTransactionsEO) and three VOs (ProductVO, ProductsBaseVO, ProductTransactionsVO) based on their EOs respectively.
Here is my scenario. I have an ADF form which is based on the database view Products and is dragged and dropped from Data Controls->ProductVO. When an existing record is submitted, a backing bean method will be called to update the data against the table Products_Base (and the table Product_Transactions at the same time) programmatically. An update method updateProductPrice() is added into the Application Module and published it to UI Client. The submit button in the page is created by directly dragging and dropping Data Controls->updateProductPrice into the page. When I run it, I got the following error message,
Failed to post data to database during "Update": SQL Statement "UPDATE PRODUCTS ProductEO SET COST_PRICE=:1 WHERE PRODUCT_ID=:2".
What I don't understand here is that, in my update method updateProductPrice(), it supposes to update the table Products_Base. But from the error, it appears that it is trying to update the view Products. Can anyone give me a help on what I did wrong here? When I try to debug it, it throws an exception to this line in the method updateProductPrice(),

Update DB table with logic

I have table with records in DB which i need to modify from internal table via job.
if we start from scratch (fill the db table in the first time ) all the records should be valid
(column valid mark as abap_true)
in the next run if new data will come to the table the records should be valid automatically
and if some records are not occur in the second run the record in the table should be not valid
what is the best way to do that .
i give an example
in the first run i have users in the itab ( that update the db)

user1    rol1      X
user1    rol2      X
user1    rol3      X
user2    rol1      X
user2    rol2      X
user2    rol3      X
This what i have in the internal table and what should be in the db table also .
in the next run i have in the itab

so after the following run the table should look like .

its not that simple ...

What i want to avoid the select single in loop because of performance the DB table can store more than 100000 records ...

Polling the master detail table and to update the LAST_UPDATED with SYSDATE

The requirement is polling the master detail table where read_flag is null and has to update the LAST_UPDATED with SYSDATE in both tables.
Refered the MasterDetail and PollingPureSQLSysdateLogicalDelete samples of SOASuite.
Used the delete polling strategy in polling process and modified the generated TopLink discriptor as follows.
set the TopLink -> Custom SQL tab -> Delete tab with the following query
for master table (RECEIVER_DEPT) :
update RECEIVER_DEPT set READ_FLAG= 'S' , LAST_UPDATED=sysdate where DEPTNO=#DEPTNO
set the TopLink -> Custom SQL tab -> Delete tab with the following query
for Detail table (RECEIVER_EMP):
update RECEIVER_EMP set LAST_UPDATED=sysdate where EMPNO=#EMPNO
After deploying the bpel process data is updated in master(RECEIVER_DEPT) table with LAST_UPDATED as sysdate and read_flag as S
however data is deleted in detail(RECEIVER_EMP) table rather than updated records.

I suggest using JSP / Struts. UIX will be replaced by ADF Faces in JDeveloper 10.1.3 and thus I wouldn't suggest new developments to be started with UIX unless time doesn't allow to wait for ADF Faces. In this case develop UIX in an MVC1 model, using the UIX events for navigation because this model seems more likely to be mgratable, according to the UIX Statement of direction on Otn.
Back to your question. You can create a search form in JSP that forwards the request to a StrutsData Action to set the scope of teh result set. The read only table can have a link or a button to call the detail page, passing the RoewKey as a string.
Have a look at the Oracle by Example (OBE) tutorials that contain similar exaqmples.

Update the table when Document successfull with BDC

    I am changing the Billing document header and item level using BDC call Transaction. When the document is success fulley saved at that time I have to modify the flag in the table with 'X', when it fails or if it has errors I have to set the Flag as 'F'. Could please any body tell me how can I do this.

I am trying to update a table with info from another table on the same db with same table name. I just want the info to be the same , no primary key or constraint involve just a straight replacement of records and I keep getting errors WITH THE TABLE not

If those two same named tables are in the same database then they have to be in different schemas. If you mean they are in the same server instance, then they may be in different databases, besides the "table not being recognized" error,
anyway you should use the fully qualified table names, that is database.Schema.Table(If across instances, ServerName should be prefixed) to avoid the table unrecognized error.
Using Identifiers As Object Names
With the fully qualified names, your update statement can be like below.

Reading from XML file and updating the table ????

I have package which reads the hier.XML file and does Update inserts into the 5 tables
i have table called MAIN_tbl with the column cur_date.
The package kicks if this cur_date is one day less than the hier.XML file DT.
Currently i m manually checking this date's to make sure the Main_tbl cur_date is n sync with
hier.XML file DT.
for example :- hier.xml file DT is "20091020" then main_table cur_date should be 10/19/2009
in order to kicks of the pakage.
what i m looking to do ??
compare the hier.xml DT with the main_table cur_date,
if cur_date is -1(Preivous day) of hier.xml DT then run hier_pkg(Package)
if not then update main_table cur_date to -1(previous day) of the hier.xml DATE
Then later write the above logic to update the main_table in a procedure, and
then call the package from the procedure.
below are the top few lines of the hier.XML file which is relevant to the one which we are trying to do

FYI : The hier.XML file is located in UNIX space.

FM to update the table HRPAD25

Is there any FM to update the standard table HRPAD25? I need to update the values entered by the user on the LSO Followup screen in this Table. I have enhanced this screen in LSO_PSV2 with an additional field 'Score'. How do i update the table HRPAD25? Is there any BADI or FM to do this. Any input on this will be of great help.

Hi Eric,
I do have some similar kind of requirement where in i am asked to use the IDOC COND_A02. The point where i am stuck is in populating the custom segment field values which we need to be passed with the IDOC. I am able to execute the IDOC from WE19 but both the exits EXIT_SAPLVKOE_001 and EXIT_SAPLVKOE_002 were not getting triggered.
We need this IDOC to be generated whenever there is a change in the Pricing Conditions (PB00 DISC1 DISC2). Please let me know how can i populate the custom segment values and trigger the IDOC.
