Configuration push by LMS

Hi,
I am using cisco lms in my entire network.  I want to push some common configuration to all network devices (switches+routers) rather than to configure manual one by one device.
Is this facilities are there in LMS.  I am using LMS version 3.2

This is doable using the Netconfig tool within RME.  go to RME > Config Mgmt > Netconfig, and consult the context-sensitive online help to get more details.

  • Configuring IPSLA using LMS 4.0

    Dear all,
    It's me again...
I have tried to configure IPSLA using LMS and I'm quite surprised that even if the collectors are running:
and my tagrget has received the IPSLA responder commands - no commands have been received on my source router so my stats are empty .I have no errors messages while configuring the IPSLA.
Any ideas ? where can I find some logs ?
    regards,
    vincent

I'm not sure what you mean by "no commands have been received on my source router."  If you mean that you don't see any IP SLA configuration on the source, then this is expected.  By default the IP SLA configuration pushed by LMS does not appear in the running config.  This can be changed by checking the "Copy IPSLA Configuration to running-config" box under Admin > Collection Settings > Performance > IPSLA application settings.  You will then need to reconfigure your collector in LMS.
That said, you don't need to do this.  LMS will maintain the IP SLA configuration via SNMP without it needing to show up in the running config.

  • Issue Configuring Push Notifications Proxying for OWA for Devices

I have been attempting to configure Push Notifications per http://technet.microsoft.com/library/jj151815.aspx#bkmk_installmodule
When running the second PowerShell script I get the error
"New-MsolServicePrincipalCredential : Invalid value for parameter. Parameter name: Credential.EndDate.
    At c:\Users\User\Desktop\script2.ps1:25 char:5
    * New-MsolServicePrincipalCredential -AppPrincipalId $p,AppPricipalId -Type a"
I do currently have another Federation Trust configured for this account with our test environment. Might this be causing this error? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
As far as I know, the issue can be caused by time difference between local timezone and server timezone. Please firstly check with this point.

  • How to configure, push and test Idoc from XI to R/3

Assuming mapping between imported Idoc and some file structure is fine ,I have to configure XI and R/3 for pushing Idocs from Xi to r/3. I have to make sure they talk.
-I have done this long time ago for pushing Idocs from R/3 to XI but I wonder if it is same procedure or it is different ?
-Can someone tell me  - how to configure both for this purpose partner profiles , logical systems etc ?
-And also after configurations , how I can check if Idocs is received from Xi and the entire process is successful?
-does it make difference the type of Idocs during the configurations?
-Are the test for success same for all type Idocs?
    Thanks all !
    Jon

    Here are the steps:
    ===========================
First - Maintain the Sender R/3 System:
SM59 : Create a RFC destination to XI
WE21 : Create a TRFC Port ->Specify the RFC Destination Created
BD54 : Create a Logical System for the Idoc Receiver
WE20 : Create Partner Profile ->Maintain Outbound and the Inbound Parameters
Second - Log on to XI System:
SM59 : RFC Destination for Sender System
IDX1 : Create the port to get Idoc Metadata from Sender System ( The Port Name must match the port name in the idoc header - Usually in format SAP<System ID>. eg. SAPID1 [Optional Step. Not mandatory]
IDX2 : Maintain the Idoc Metadata. This is needed only by XI, and not by other SAP systems. IDX2 is needed because XI needs to construct IDoc-XML from the IDoc. No other SAP system needs to do that.
    To Enable Acknowledgement:
SXMB_ADM ->Integration Engine Configuration ->Specific Configuration ->Add New entry -> Select parameters as:
    Category: RUNTIME
    Parameters: ACK_SYSTEM_FAILURE
    Current Value: 1

  • Cisco devices configuration for CW-LMS

    Hello,
I am new to CiscoWorks LMS. I am working with a LMS 3.2 fresh installation. I added all the devices (routers, switches and 3 ASAs) into the DCR. Now I need to know how to configure the devices to send relevant info to the CW LMS machine. I am looking for something similar to this:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Security/SAFE_RG/chap10.html#wp1056411
This is a deployment model for Cisco MARS, which shows what to configure on each device in the network to send the most relevant info (syslog, netflow) to the Cisco MARS.
Is there a best practice for CW LMS regarding this? For example, what syslog level should the routers send to the LMS?
    Thank you!

There is a deployment guide whitepaper for LMS at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps2425/prod_white_papers_list.html .  As for what to do syslog-wise, you should configure your logging facility to be local7 (this is the default on IOS, but not on ASA OS), and send at least sev 5 or higher messages.  You may want to bump that up to sev 6 (informational), but sev 5 for IOS devices will be sufficient to get things like configuration change messages.  For CatOS, you definitely want sev 6.

  • Has anyone successfully configured push notification services?

I have been struggling with this since mid December and still have not figured out how to configure or even debug push notificaiton services. I am running a Mac Mini Lion Server and have read every thread, article, snippet and breadcrumb on these discussion forums and elsewhere. I have been through jabberd/twisted/SSL/config in fine grained detail.
So my question is simply - is there anyone out there that has 10.7.3 and Push Notifications configured for mail/Calendar Server/iChat working? Did it just work out of the box for you by checking the box and requesting a cert? Did you have to go through a detailed debugging exercise and if so, what are the key components in this spaghetti that is the Lion APNS gateway?
I am happy to start posting logs and working with some contributors on this, but I would like to know that it is even possible before investing the time.
HELLLLLLLP! Please tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel!
    Corey

Off of the top of my head the only push notification setting I am aware of in Lion Server is in Profile Manager and this only applies to Profile Manager services.  Caldav and carddav have been updating fine for me whether I have Profile Manager on or off.

  • Collector Configuration for Cisco LMS

    Hi,
I have a cisco LMS 3.2 , what collectors need to be configured inorder to get the critical alarms such as HighBroadcast Rate in network

    Device Fault Manager (DFM) is the module or application that would give you these kind of alerts;
a quick overview about DFM can be found here
    first I recommend to install all available updates and patches for LMS;
after the initial discovery of LMS to get your devices into DCR you have to import device into DFM as described here
    DFM is working with SNMP polling, thus you should get the events in the AAD (Alerts and Activities Display) if DFM has SNMP access to your devices;
Be aware, that DFM counts non-unicast packekts for the HighBroadcast Rate (broadcast and multicast packets; ifInNUcastPkts + ifOutNUcastPkts)
also read the user guide for DFM to get a general understanding of DFM

  • Error while configuring GCM: The push settings were not saved. Error 400

    Hi,
While configuring push settings for google cloud messaging in azure mobile services, i entered the server key received from google developer console.
When i try to save the entry, i get the message The push settings were not saved <mobile-serversices-site>: Error 400
I have regenerated the key multiple times but of no use.
Am I missing something? I am a paid subscriber of Azure
    Thanks, Laks.

Sorry for the late reply. Sometimes there are transient errors in the portal that affect whether or not the settings can be saved. Also, you should make sure that you have an associated notification hub (which will show up in your push settings). If there
is no associated hub, you will always get errors when trying to configure.

  • Push Notifications and Enterprise

    Hello there,
We have been upgraded from woodwing to Adobe DPS last month.
We are slowly getting back to the way it was before and know that some features will come in future updates.
There is only 1 thing I don't get or could find any documentation for was Push notifications on a enterprise build.
We have the app build for enterprise, but the mobileprovsion requires a app ID with a asterix(*) in it.
Apple sees this as a wildcard and thus I cannot configure the Push Notifications for the provisions.
So that is not really a big deal, cause we always have 3rd party options.
Now I noticed that the viewer builder gives you the option for Apple push and adobe push, and a custom url.
But whenever I choose the option above that saying its a 'Enterprise Build' I cannot check the Push buttons.
I cannot setup any Push at all.
So does anybody know how to setup push notifications for a enterprise build app, or have any Documentation on how to set it up?
    Kind Regards,
    Patrick van Zadel

    Hi Bob,
The Publishing Companion Guide (for Viewer Builder 2.1) outlines the steps to produce the required Apple APN certificates. However, as Patrick points out, the latest viewer builder does not allow one to configure push notification support for Enterprise signed viewer apps. Essentially, once one selects Enterprise viewer, the Push Notification fields are disabled. See the screenshot below...
What is the recommended way to enable this for Enterprise builds?
    Thanks for your help,
    Matt

  • Exchange account verified and configured for sync, but no messages show up

I think I'm having what appears to be, based on my reading of the threads on problems with Exchange set-up, a unique problem. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and has advice.
I am able to verify and configure my Exchange mail account for sync (using my company's OWA server), but when I go into the mail application I see only my mail folders. The e-mails themselves do not appear. When I tap on a folder to access the messages inside I get a blank screen and a "connecting" message on the bottom.
When I have SSL on, the phone continually prompts me for my password and no matter how many times I enter the correct password it tells me it's wrong. I later get a message that mail cannot be accessed or sent because the "username or password" for the account is incorrect.
When I turn SSL off, I don't get the password prompt, but my messages still don't appear. The phone goes through the whole "connecting" cycle and then says "updated" but there are no e-mails visible and I cannot send.
I was able to set up the account as IMAP but this requires fetching messages and I really want to be able to configure push using Exchange ActiveSync. The company that runs our work email server (we are a small business and don't house the server internally) says it has other iPhones up and running using ActiveSync and the same information I've entered, so they're stumped as to what the problem is.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks in advance.

    Justin - try this
For those of you experiencing problems using OWA through Exchange on iPhone, I may have found a solution. Symptoms I had and have read about -
    1. You enter all your account information on iPhone (webmail.company.com, user name p-word, etc)
    2. You can see only your folders on iPhone but with no emails inside them
    3. you keep getting asked for your password on iPhone over and over
Maddening to get so close to only see folders. I fixed mine and the answer was right in front of my face the whole time. Before entering username and password on iPhone, the format of how it's supposed to be is ghosted - Domain\Name
When I was having the "folders only" issue I had username set up as Domain/Name
Turns out the slash is the difference, for me anyway. As soon I changed from front slash to back slash, entered my password (once) all my folders populated with emails. A miracle !
So to recap, here's my setup
    Email - [email protected]
    Server - [email protected]
    Username - companyorg\name
    Password - normal outlook password
    Description - My Email Account
    Use SSL - ON
I know there are many variations with Exchange and OWA depending on server setup, but the moral my story is back slash instead of front slash in the Domain\username field

  • LMS 3.2 - LMS Portal -- How to set 'My Portal' View as Default-View?

    Hi all,
LMS Portal comes up with three default views (My Portal, CiscoWorks Portal, LMS).
As within My Portal it is possible to change layout and sorting, I would like to set this view as
the default view comming up at login.
    How can this be configured?
    Actually LMS View comes up.
    Thanks for any feedback

You have to add the portlet Ciscoworks Admin to your portal
With this portlet you can set the default view
Add portlet -> Ciscoworks -> Other -> Ciscoworks Admin
    Cheers,

  • Prime LMS 4.2.1 Netconfig and Template TFTP/SSH issue

I have cisco Prime 4.2.1 installed and am trying to deploy templates and Adhoc Netconfigs. The jobs are failing with the following message:
Command(s) failed on the device TFTP: Failed on the device. SSH: Failed to establish SSH connection to 10.104.114.231 - Cause: Authentication failed on device 3 times.
If I deploy a Netconfig Task, say just adding a Syslog Server to the same switch it succeeds, no problem.
I am using Cisco ACS 5.2 - TACACS and have configured the tacacspromtps.ini file for the username and password prompt. I can log onto the switch with the Prime Account no problem using Telnet. SSH has not been configured on the switch. I can't find where the protocols for connecting to devices are configured within Prime LMS?

    hi gary,
based on my understanding, its because the device is not configured with SSH.
is the device running SSH enabled (K2 or K9) image? if yes, you can enable the SSH.
if no, then perhaps you want to try find it here to change it to telnet

  • WCS and LMS to Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.3 Upgrade

    Hello,
Our customer is currently having WCS for 500 devices and LMS 3.2 for 1500 devices. We are planning to upgrade to Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.3.
I want to check is the upgrade procedure that we have planned is ok or we have missed something.
Phase 1: WCS to CPI 1.3 upgrade
    1. Check that WCS is at 7.0.230.0  version
    2. Export WCS database
    3. Install NCS 1.1.1.24 software
    4. Contact cisco to obtain trial license for NCS software (L-WCS-NCS1-M-K9 license).
    5. Migrate WCS license and import it in NCS software
    6. Migrate WCS data to NCS software using ncs migrate command
    7. Patch NCS software
    8. Inline upgrade to CPI 1.3 software
    9. Install proper licenses on CPI 1.3 (WCS and LMS device count)
My concern in this first phase is should I use NCS large image since our Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.3 software should manage 2000 devices at the end.
Or is it better not to perform inline upgrade and insted go with exporting data from NCS and then importing them to CPI 1.3 that is going to be installed separately?
Phase 2: LMS 3.2 to CPI upgrade
    1. Export LMS 3.2 database
    2. Install LMS 4.2 software
    3. Install license to LMS 4.2
    4. Restore data from LMS 3.2 to LMS 4.2
    5. Direct upgrade from LMS 4.2 to 4.2.2
    6. Export the device list with credentials from LMS 4.2.2  and import it as a Bulk Import in CPI 1.3
At the end we will have CPI 1.3 and LMS 4.2.2 software running.
Is it possible to directly upgrade from LMS 4.2 to LMS 4.2.4 and then import data to CPI 1.3 or we need to go with 4.2.2 version?
    Regards,
    Jelena

Are this errors going to affect our LMS 4.2 operations?
Then we have upgraded to LMS 4.2.2 and exported data and credentiales for PI import.
On PI 1.3 we have installed WCS 500 devices upgrade license and LMS 1500 upgrade license and now we are having 2000 devices lifecycle license. We have successfully restored WCS data in PI and we have imported LMS devices as bulk import. What is strange is that we have this message in prime regarding licensing:
On LMS 3.2 our customer had saved unlimited number of configuration versioning. After upgrading to LMS 4.2 we can only see last 3 configurations regardless of unlimided number of configurations in previous LMS, so my question is where can we find older configurations in LMS 4.2?
We are planning to turn unlimited versioning on CPI 1.3 now, so our customer will again have feature that they need. Do you have some experiance regarding disk space when all device configurations are stored forever?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Jelena
