Login wizard querying wrong table
Hi all
I use MSaccess/cf7/dwcs3 - and addt now - when i use the login wizard - i set the user table as the one to query for login - but the record set is querying the first table in the database not the correct one - which happens to be the last one - any ideas???
thanks FSM

dreamweaver doesn't accept the spaces in the name.... hence user table won't work but user_table or usertable will
I have a gut feeling that Dreamweaver CS3 is a lot stricter with table & column names which don´t conform to the "rules".
It´s actually good that DW nowadays doesn´t accept names which would also lead to conflicts outside the DW realm, but it would certainly be better if DW would display some sort of "you can´t use this table name, because..." warning rather than having folks scratch their heads of the possible reasons of such a failure.

Querying external tables ERROR no not English version 10g R2 ¿BUG 5172459?
Hello
I have a serious problem when trying to view the content of external tables under Oracle 10R2 in Spanish
Steps to perform:
1. Make directory on file system (in oracle server side).
2. Copy a data file into this directory.
3. Login (sqlplus) as "sys as sysdba"
4. Make one oracle directory object
5. Grant permits read / write to a user 'simple_uesr'
6. Logout sys, and login as 'simple_user'
7. Make a external table, which uses the directory and data file.
8. Run query 'select * from myExtTable' to check it.
I have repeated these steps on Oracle 9i Enterprise, Oracle 10gR2 Enterprise, and Oracle 10g XE, and always, always worked perfectly (no problems).
The problem occurs in the client's DB (Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 SPANISH), everything works fine until the step 8 (querying external tables), where systematically the following error occurs:
ERROR en línea 1:
ORA-29913: error al ejecutar la llamada de ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN
ORA-29400: error de cartucho de datos
KUP-00552: internal XAD package failed to load
ORA-06512: en "SYS.ORACLE_LOADER", línea 19
I have made many tests, such as assigning a wrong directory to external table, remove the data file, remove access permissions, and always, always gives the same error, nerver error "file not found...etc, etc".
I have concluded that the failure, which occurs before Oracle even try to access the file system, but I do not know what may be the cause.
Searching the Internet, I found the following links:
http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_ora_29913_external_table_error.htm
http://zalbb.itpub.net/post/980/249423
Where mention the BUG 5172459 (MetaLink Note: 373168.1), but after follow the directions, still does not work.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks!
Full details of the DB which gives the error

ORA-06512: en "SYS.ORACLE_LOADER", línea 19Hola!
Let's go through errors you posted:
First error (ORA-29913) indicating error occurs when Oracle tryed to access external table.
Then ORA-29400 says that error has occurred in a data cartridge external procedure.
And then finally KUP-00552 - an error was encountered while attempting to initialize the XAD package.
So did you check state of the XAD package in that database?
Also, please post code you used in steps 4. and 7.

Reverse Mapping Tutorial - Finder.java queries the wrong table?!
I have been almost successful in running the Reverse Mapping Tutorial, by
creating Java Classes from the hsqldb sample database, and running the JDO
Enhancer on them.
However, I cannot get he Finder.java to work. It seems to look in the wrong
table: MAGAZINEX instead of MAGAZINE?
Did anyone have trouble with this step, or ran it successfully?

Running the reversemappingtool creates classes, metadata files, and a
.mapping file. That .mapping file contains all the O/R mapping
information for how the generated classes map to your existing database
tables. What the importtool does is just transfer that mapping
information to the metadata files, in the form of <extension> elements.
The reason this is a separate step will be clear once Kodo 3.0 comes out.
So in sum, the importtool does not affect the database in any way. It
just moves information from one format (.mapping file) to another
(<extension> elements in the .jdo file). -
Strange explain plan when query SYS tables
Oracle Version 9.2.0.7
We have an application that runs the following query on Oracle 9.2.0.7
SELECT T1.TABLE_NAME,T1.COLUMN_NAME, T1.SRID, T2.SDO_UB, T2.SDO_LB, T1.OWNER FROM ALL_SDO_GEOM_METADATA T1, TABLE(T1.DIMINFO) T2 WHERE T1.OWNER=UPPER(:"SYS_B_0") AND T1.TABLE_NAME=UPPER(:"SYS_B_1")
Without the self join the query is fine, but with the self join on our customers database the explain plan is doing full table scans and Hash Joins on SYS tables and takes 2 minutes.

If this had not been SYS schema I would have immediately concluded that fresh statistics are required. The SYS objects concerend are valid with all indexes
From my understanding you are not meant to gather stats for the SYS schema in Oracle 9 as Data Dictionary queries still uses RBO?
Any ideas as to why Oracle is doing full table scans when querying SYS tables? The optimizer_mode is set to FIRST_ROWS.
Any ideas greatly recevied.
ThanksMaybe I'm missing something but this:
INDEX FULL SCAN SISESTAT I0_ESTRUTURA_COMERCIALindicates that one of those indexes is being used.
This:

Why query against table(dbms_xplan.display) take too long?
the env is PROD, version is Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bi.
Most of the time, when I do explain plan and query the table(dbms_xplan.display), it takes like 3-8 minutes to display the result.
So, I wonder what might go wrong here?
How a simple query would take this long?
Any thought or guess are welcome.
ThanksThat is not an option here. I only have query privilege on PROD.
All I can do is to figure out the reason for the slowness and advise the fix.
Thanks. -
Change Control Wizard - Audit rule tables
Hi All,
New forum member here, and I have a question regarding the setup of audit rules using the Change Control Wizard in PCG. The first rule we are setting up is to track changes to supplier files, and when we generated the audit rule we were expecting the audit table to be LA_AC_APXVDMVD, but instead the table it created was SQLAP.AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL. I am not sure why this occurred, but it appears that we may have configured the rule incorrectly. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MarcI am not sure what you want to do with the table name.
However, just to answer the query the table is correct. Since you created the rule for the supplier master files it picked the underlying supplier table
SQLAP.AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL. -
"Script Table As" Errors: Returns structure for wrong table, etc.
Hello, all.
A few weeks ago I ran "Script Table As" for "SELECT TO..." and it returned the data structure for the wrong table!
I restored the database from a known good backup from months before, and the same thing happened. I nearly resorted to restoring the Master database from backup, when the phenomenon suddenly disappeared.
Now this morning, I ran "script table as" on a different table (And different database as well) and it only returned part of the structure.
Any ideas? Is my master database corrupted? Queries, etc. seem to work normally.I don't know what is going on, but I would definitely run a trace to see what statements SSMS is emitting. If you see the wrong table names listed in the query, you know that SSMS is confused. If you see the right table name, and wrong data comes back,
you have a real problem. (I would place my bets on the first alternative.)

Querying Nested Table......
Hi,
I am new to this nested table topic, I am facing problem in querying nested table. Actually i had created a table which consists of details regarding Applications and the platforms. As an application can run on more than one platform i had created a nested table for platform.
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE TY_PLATFORM AS OBJECT
( VC_PLATFORM VARCHAR2(64) );
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE NT_TY_PLATFORM AS TABLE OF TY_PLATFORM;
I am using this nested table in the main table application:
CREATE TABLE T_APPLICATION
( N_APPLICATION_ID NUMBER(32,6),
VC_APPLICATION_NAME VARCHAR2(160),
CL_NT_PLATFORM NT_TY_PLATFORM )
NESTED TABLE CL_NT_PLATFORM STORE AS CL_NT_PLATFORM_TAB
The table contains the data like this(Just for example):
N_APPLICATION_ID VC_APPLICATION_NAME PLATFORM
1 ABC Unix, Windows
2 DEF Unix, MVS
3 GHI Unix, Windows
4 JKL Unix, Windows, MVS
I have created the scripts like this...
INSERT INTO T_APPLICATION(N_APPLICATION_ID, VC_APPLICATION_NAME) VALUES(1,'ABC');
Like that for all applications...
UPDATE T_APPLICATION SET CL_NT_PLATFORM=NT_TY_PLATFORM(TY_PLATFORM('Unix'),TY_PLATFORM('Windows')) WHERE N_ACCESS_NUMBER=1;
Like that for all applications.....
After creation i had queried
SQL> select t.n_application_id from t_application t,table(cl_nt_platform)p
2 where p.vc_platform='Unix' and p.vc_platform='Windows' and p.vc_platform!='MVS';
no rows selected
Actually i want the application list which run on unix and windows platform but not MVS
It want the result like this:
T.N_APPLICATION_ID
1
2
but it is returning no rows selected.......
Please help me......
Thanks in advance.....Wrong forum my friend. This forum is for XML DB related issues, and while we use nested tables, we never have to worry about those nasty objects that were generated by XML Schema registration :)...
I think you need...

Missing Functionality: Dunning Wizard - We need table CRD1
Hello,
Missing Functionality: Dunning Wizard - We need table CRD1 in the dunning PLD templates!!!
This Workaround is impossible.
As a workaround I suggest to store this information in the UDFs that you would create on the OCRD table that is exposed in the dunning PLD templates.keine Antwort ist auch eine Antwort

Error when querying a table through the Query Window
I am running a query on the following table in the ODT Query window - for some reason I get the error below when trying to retrieve the data - I can query the table just fine through SQL Plus - it errors out whether I use grid or text window
ERROR
Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.
CREATE TABLE "RF3_PROD_1"."F_EXTRACTMETRICS" ("EXTRACT_NAME" VARCHAR2(50) NOT NULL,"RUN_START_DATE" DATE NOT NULL,"RUN_END_DATE" DATE NOT NULL,"DURATION" NUMBER DEFAULT 0 NOT NULL,"EXTRACT_START_DATE" DATE NULL,"EXTRACT_END_DATE" DATE NULL,"NUM_RECS_ADDED" NUMBER DEFAULT 0 NOT NULL,"NUM_RECS_DELETED" NUMBER DEFAULT 0 NOT NULL,"STATUS" VARCHAR2(50) NOT NULL,"COMMENTS" VARCHAR2(500) NULL) TABLESPACE "EXTRACT_TAB_01_TS" PCTFREE 15 PCTUSED 75 INITRANS 1 MAXTRANS 255 STORAGE ( FREELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1 INITIAL 8388608 NEXT 516096 MAXEXTENTS 2147483645 MINEXTENTS 1 PCTINCREASE 0 )
I would have formatted it nicer - but that is the way that ODT created it :)Christian,
I found that this happens when trying to query number fields that are reals with a large decimal value (26 decimal values and above seem to be the magic number). What is strange is that I don't get this problem when I retrieve data from the same table using the Retrieve data option (versus a query for all the data in the Query Window) so they don't seem to be utilizing the same basic code to grab and then display the data interestingly enough (I am sure you knew that). Does this allow you to replicate the issue?
Thanks,

ColdFusion Login Wizard: How do you access this in Dreamweaver CS3
The 'ColdFusion MX 7 Extensions'
(CFMXDreamWeaverExtensions.mxp) could be installed for 'Dreamweaver
MX 2004' using the 'Adobe Extension Manager'. This then gave access
to the 'Coldfusion Login Wizard' available under
'Commands/Coldfusion Login Wizard'.
However, the file 'CFMX7DreamWeaverExtensions.mxp' generates
the error 'This version of the 'CFMX7 Extensions' extension is not
compatible with Dreamweaver CS3 when installing in Dreamweaver CS3.
I have downloaded 'dwmx2004_extensions_for_cfmx7.mxp' from
http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/downloads.html
but this doesn't work!
I cannot find an equivalent .mxp file on the Adobe website or
explanation anywhere despite exhaustive searching!
Any help will be very gratefully received!Hi Divya,
The below code is working for me. You can try with this: This is for currently logged in User.
String userName = "";
IWDClientUser wdUser = null;
try
wdUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
catch (WDUMException e)
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(e.getLocalizedMessage(), false);
IUser usernam = wdUser.getSAPUser();
userName = usernam.getUniqueName();

Query a table using Multi Select Item
Hi everyone!
I got a page where I have this multiselect item, and I want to query a table using its values.
For example: The Multiselect item has this values: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10
And I want to query every person who has ID_CLASS 1,4,7 and 9 by selecting those IDs from the list, and when I click que Consult button the Report displays those persons.
Whowever I can't accomplish this, I was trying to find a post about this without success.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks!!Hi,
This is my problem, I select 2 or more options in the multiple select item, then after I click the "Consult" buttom it submits the page, however only 1 option is highlighted. For example I choose the first two options, then I click Consult and the page is submitted. After that only one of the 2 options are selected, but I need to get the 2 options highlighted as selected items.
If I clear cache I think I'll lost everything. (selected items)
Thanks again! -
How to implement 'Quick Select' column in a query result table?
Hi,
I have a requirement in OAF to design a search page with 'Quick select' column.
One of the column in the query result table should be a quick select.
Once user clicks on the quick select column, we have to navigate back to the previous page with the row value selected.
Can anyone help me in this.
Thanks.Also refer the search exercise in the toolbox tutorials.
you can implement the quick search in the same way as update and delete buttons.

Query in Table Maintanance Generator
Hi,
I have a query in table maintanance generator. In tables Extract and Total we have all the entries. Is it possible to get the entry which we made in the record. I mean i need the record in this i made the changes. I cant use above tqo tables because special characters are coming. Any body can suggest.
Regards,
MaheedharMaheedhar,
You will have to modify the program/code that was generated from the table maintenance generator to fit your requirements.
You can accomplish this by digging through the transport that you created, or by debugging through SM30 when you add a new entry or hit the save button. You should be able to find a place to add your custom logic.
Note: If you modify this code, anytime in the future if someone re-generates this table maintenance, your custom code will be over-written.
Thanks,
David
